Fantasy of the day is Jimmy being a little blasé, so Kim asks him if he wants to see something cool.

She calls up a congressman in Idaho and puts him on speaker phone, to ask if the man has reconsidered his upcoming vote regarding law enforcement's access to women's medical records.

The congressman curses Kim out and says he doesn't know how she did it, but he knows Kim's behind the piles of medical waste that keep getting left on his front porch.

Kim is perfectly calm as she explains that she has no idea what he's talking about, but if she had to guess it sounds like some members of the nurse's union are upset about the effect the bill will have on their patients and their ability to do their jobs. Of course, she has a good relationship with the nurse's unions, so if the politician would be open to changing his vote, Kim is sure she could reason with-

Congressman Dittmer can hear the couple snickering on the other side of the line and he loses his patience. He says that he won't be bribed or intimidated, because he's a Christian and yada yada yada the mass murder of the unborn must be stopped. Don't want to paint a whole political movement with the same brush, but considering he was already presented with the cold hard public health facts earlier, it's hard not to chalk this stubbornness up to misogyny. Either way, he calls Kim a pathetic sick thug for enjoying this and angrily hangs up.

That phone call did not go how she had planned. But it definitely roused Jimmy from his listlessness. She asks what he thinks she should do, and on the one hand he tells her what he always tells her: the only two real rules are what you can get away with and what you can live with yourself after doing. They've tried all the routine harassment they could on this guy; if the next level of escalation is breaking legs, maybe it's best to just choose your battles. But... Jimmy grinds his teeth... considering the bill includes restricting people's movement across state borders, maybe it really is that important that Dittmer miss the vote. Because it's not like this is going to stop with Idaho. And yes, he and Kim agreed no assassinations... but when Jimmy thinks about the future these ghouls want, where his kids are having their menstrual cycles tracked by Big Brother, fuck it he thinks he can live with this guy being taught a lesson. I mean what's the point of even being what they are, if they can't strongarm democracy out of shooting itself in the foot?
