Mechanic Simon doesn’t have a shop, he just works out of his garage at home. He gets his business from word of mouth -- he's good and he doesn't overcharge, so he's never wanting for work. And that's how he likes it.

He always smells at least a little like sweat and motor oil, and if he didn't bite his nails down to the quick, there'd be grease trapped under them, always. He works in jeans that are all stained by the work, knees worn by how often he bends to see the engines better, and whatever t-shirt he can find. Sometimes just the jeans in the summer, when the garage gets too hot.

He smokes a lot too, even though he knows how much you don't like it. You tell him it's an accident waiting to happen, being around all that gas and lighting up cigarettes. Truthfully, he doesn't get why you bother, but he knows if he kisses you, slow and sweet how you like, you'll give him a break. He also knows that if lays you down and fucks you in the backseat of the Cortina he's fixed up ten times in as many years, you'll not only hush, but bring him a glass of lemonade, too.

It's a quiet life, but he couldn't dream up one he'd love more.

in other news have you guys seen that leak revealing that SuMo was originally not going to have Z-moves but a gimmick that basically involved summoning a Jojo stand

i don't know the exact timeline for when ghilan'nain physically changed into what we see her as in datv, but im really attached to the idea that she didn't look like that before the veil was made. like she looked just like we saw her in solas' memory, untainted and with no extra limbs. her new form is the direct consequence of her fusing her body with anduril's blighted corpse after anduril's archdemon was slain and she died in the fade. she does not need to mourn anduril. anduril has become part of her greater whole. she would not be parted from her, even in death.

Love stories where the characters are trapped within their tragedies. Stories where the characters are a little bit aware of their narrative prison. Stories where being an audience member makes you complicit in their torment. Stories where the characters hate you for witnessing their suffering. Stories where they’re trapped by the very nature of the tale’s existence. Stories where the only way to save them is to stop watching.

Once Upon a Time in Space character designs!

Some notes:

Since the mechs themselves had a few Disney references (the seven survivor’s dwarf attributes, Adam, mentions of the sleeping beauty fairies, etc.) I didn’t feel quite as bad paying small homage to the Disney designs. I had a hard enough time finding enough to fit together without trying to block out Disney.

Music inspo: since a lot of the songs are based on sea shanties, and as the first album, it’s not a surprise this one has a pirate theme. I think the mechs started with a certain vibe and carried it over into the album.

The fashion style is meant to be a mix of Middle Ages (the fairy tales) and 1500s (pirate theme).
