I am trying to do a look of Acht on a splat of paint, and using their hat logo as well...why isn't she wearing a hat? Cause I suck at drawing them! and I liked the logo so I got creative with it.

I had a harder time designing Death than derpy, but it's still very cool and evil in every way. 🤌

The series is pretty good and fun, I loved the design of them being an inspiration from ennard but more eye-catching, and I hope to see more new things about this series ✨‼️

“One thing the Ghibli-fakery tells me is how few people know how to pay attention. If you glance at each ghiblified image without much effort, you get a little tickle: "Oh, that's what it would look like if Miyazaki drew it." But then, you really look. You pay attention to the subtleties and then you notice: there are no subtleties in the AI slop.

Miyazaki's process, when you look into it, relies on endless polishing and reworking, a constant shifting (as all creatives know) between potentialising the actual and actualising the potential—until the right note is struck, until the thing 'clicks' (I'm reminded of Lonergan's thinking around the nature of an insight). This is deeply personal, deeply felt, profoundly relational. All real creativity is about creating the right balance between various relatednesses.

But this slot-machine approach to 'art' is disgusting. It spits on the sacrifices made by a very great artist. Yes, I know many of those sacrifices were relational—Miyazaki isn't famous for being a good father, for example. But, far from paying homage to him, this ghiblifying of the memeverse disregards the years of work and careful, thoughtful attention he has put into making things that feel alive.
