Checo: Yes, I want to. The answer is yes, if the project that comes along feels right. I don't want to return at all costs; I don't want to be traveling around the world as a third driver or waiting there for an opportunity. I think I've been very fortunate with the career I've had, and I want to return because I don't want to end my career like this. But I'm also aware that I'll return if it's worth the price to be in F1.

I love your headcanons for the WGP! Such underutilized characters that Pixar will never come back to. Which makes it all the more fun to come up with the headcanons and their personalities.

Also do you have headcanons for the regional replacements of Jeff Gorvette in the international dubs of Cars 2: Long Ge (my personal bias), Flash Nilsson, Memo Rojas Jr, Frosty Winterbumper and Vitaly Petrov?

I must admit, it was a challenging one. I like to have a little background info before I add HC's to pre-made characters. But alas, there is not much to go on.

Im glad you bought these fine chaps to my attention. They are VERY cool. My favourite is Vitaly personally. Lets give this a go, shall we?

Long Ge - He is insanely polite and will go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of others in his presence, even sometimes to his own detriment.

He can occasionally get a little nervous talking to others, but thats down to a small amount of social anxiety. He wants everyone to like him.

Long Ge is respectful of his fellow competitors at all times, however, he can occasionally get a little arrogant, but its all in good humour.

He is heavily supportive of racers in need, especially when it comes to physical injury. Regardless of his position on the track, he will stop to help if he deems it necessary. In his spare time, he will volunteer to assist those in need.

He loves traditional board games.

Lightning McQueen ended up introducing him to Tex Dinoco and they got along straight off the bat.

Flash Nilsson - Flash is spritely and energetic and its utterly contagious. He knows exactly how to get a party going and how to keep it rolling.

He's amazing at poker.

He gets jestfully angry when fellows sing or play the Flash Gordan theme song when he enters a room or aproaches a group. He will start singing along with it though.

He's a bit of a practical joker and can spend ages thinking up amazing pranks to play on his friends. He loves to have a good laugh.

Flash spends a lot of time practicing on different tracks and honing his skillset in a variety of different ways. He's always looking to improve himself and learn loads of different techniques for different situations.

Memo Rojas Jr - Memo loves learning about different cultures and sightseeing the countries he visits.

He is a highly suspicious vehicle and carries a luck charm with him for his races.

You'll never not hear him humming or singing musical tunes and jigging along to it.

He gets on really well with Raoul and they have become quite firm friends after the WGP.

Memo is rediculously quick off the mark and shocks fellow racers with his ability to just shoot himself forward off the starting line. It can be quite startling and intimidating.

Frosty Winterbumper - Frosty is a talker. As in he is an incessant talker. Good luck shutting him up. Especially when its on a subject that he is particularly interested in.

He loves basking in gentle sunshine and believes there's nothing better than a quality nap and a decent amount of relaxation time.

He is a bit of a risk taker on the track and enjoys the rush of that.

Despite his wintery namesake, he despises being in cold environments. He can't stand the cold and will do pretty much anything to ensure he stays warm. A deeply set chill can really throw him off his game.

Vitaly Petrov (Виталий Петров) - Vitaly is an avid chess player. His father was a regional champion at the game and athough Vitaly had bigger interests in racing, he is still very good at the game. So good luck beating him.

He is used to freezing climates from growing up racing in rally sprints and ice races and just doesnt seem to get cold. He has techniques for staying warm and he will always share them with any fellow racer who feels the cold easily.

Vitaly is the only race fan in his family and built himself up in the racing world from scratch and he absolutely loves it. He does it purely for his own enjoyment. It just turns out he's really damn good at it.

Chrysler help you if you find yourself in a snowball fight with him. He is pretty merciless.

Cars + Pokemon Au (WGP Racers) Headcanons

Francesco: Smeargle named Leonardo who captures his magnificent visage after every race to send home to his Mamma. Also has a female Cicchino named Chiara who was his Mamma's Pokemon that was passed to him when she retired from racing.

Lewis: Granbull named Roscoe that he insists the cutest even though he mostly sleeps and putters around. His main pokemon that he uses in battle is a Sceptile

Max: Tinkaton named Annika that helps him out with engineering (mostly flattening and scrapping large failures for entertainment). Various Klink, Klang , and Klinklang can be found hovering around his lab back in Stuttgart.

Miguel: Definitely has a Tauros named Carlos that he spares with in bullfighting. Also has a Miltank that has a small crush on Carlos and even runs with him during the annual Running of the Bulls in Pampaloma.

Raoul: A male Absol named Reynard who was bit of a holdover when he used to be an edgelord prior to the start of his rally racing career but loves him all the same. Also has a male shiny Gardevoir that can mega evolve named Sebastian (nicknamed Sebby) as his ace.

Shu: A female Hydreigon that he raised from when it was a Deino egg named Kyoka. Loves using her hand heads to affectionately chomp onto Raoul's head which necessitates Sebastian to intervene. Most racers and their Pokemon are a bit hesitant to get near Kyoka.

Carla: A male Quaquaval named Ayrton (after the famous F1 driver from her home country that inspired her to race) who loves dancing with her on Carnaval. Often offers its feathers as inspiration for her samba dancing outfits and a deterrent for any possible harassers.

Nigel: Many many Sinistea, Polteageist, Sinicha and Polchageist all named after the different variants of tea (Oolong, Pu'er, etc). Often found at tea parties that the Brit hosts during breaks.

Rip: A Dugtrio named Dirt (give him a break, he was seven when he met it as a Diglett). Often helps out in digging up land around New Rearendia and revitalizing crop fields.

Vitaly: A male Beartic named Vladimir who loves vodka just as much as his trainer. May or may not be responsible for swiping lit cigarettes to smoke and carries and guards the Russian's luggage during travels.

Long Ge: A male Mienshao named Yao and an Arbok named Li that he does tai chi with. Rumored to have ties to the Four Treasures of Ruin but no one can confirm them one way or another. Back home, he has a Drampa nicknamed Laozi that kids love playing with.

Frosty: Komala and a Khangaskan named Steve and Terri respectively. Carries around a eucalyptus tree to shade both of them and to feed Steve. The Krookodile back home acts as a guardian whenever he's out of the country.

Flash: Has both normal female Delibird and Future Paradox Delibird named Hannah and Agnetha. Found in the kitchens delivering semla from Flash to other racers as presents (though some of them might be tampered with by Jalapeno if they aren't looking)

Memo: Scovillain named Jalapeno that loves pranking other racers and their pokemon by secretly spicing up their food. The most frequent victims are Lightning and Rush and Flash and Agnetha.

Jeff: A shiny Bravairy named Maverick (was a fan of the Top Gun films) who he rides when he's not racing. Often races with Rush whenever Jeff swings by Radiator Springs.

Cars + Pokémon au

Doesn't change anything about the canon for the most part, the characters are humanized and just happen to have Pokémon partners that follow them around... I just decided to make this au because I like Cars and I like Pokémon, so why not mash the two together lmao

Lightning: Jolteon that he's had since he was an Eevee named Rush. Very exitable, kind of a prankster and a troublemaker, and likes to give everyone [Lightning included] a hard time, but he can be a sweet little guy for sure [when he wants to be]

Sally: a male and female Meowstic that she evolved from two Espurr. Female is named Silk and the male is named Satin, and she's had them both since she was a lawyer in Los Angeles. They help around the motel

Mater: huge Mudsdale named Carrots that is very stoic and rigid, and intimidating without even trying to be. She does have emotions on the inside, she just doesn't display them much, a big contrast to her trainer, who under exactly what she's feeling without having to try. Her favorite treat is carrots

Doc: Audino named Bee that helps out in his medical office as well as helps him out using her telekinesis to move heavier or large objects since he's disabled

Sheriff: Arcanine named Deputy, he's a very loyal partner and loves making him proud

Luigi and Guido: Sneaky mischievous little Meowth named Bambino who always tries to steal coins whenever possible, or even just trinkets left out. He gets gently smacked with a broom for stealing pretty often, but he still gets gifts of shiny objects to keep him happy. Plus he's very good at looking cute and innocent, even when he often isn't. His bed is made out of an old repurposed tire Mater built for him

Flo: Whimsicott named Pancakes that helps her out in the kitchen and will also go out and serve food, she's very well liked by everyone who comes in. There's also a Vanillite, Vanillish, and Vanilluxe that float around for atmosphere and such. They live in the freezer

Ramone: Grafaiai named Inks, very playful, extroverted and loves to cause a bit of trouble, but still takes their art very seriously. They're very proud of the designs that get made into tattoos

Red: Samurott named Admiral that's a lot more outgoing than he is, standing guard with Deputy a lot of the time and doing his best to look intimidating. He's still playful though, and does his best to help push Red along, although he loses his patience with him a bit sometimes. He's also got some spots along his body as a unique pattern detail

Lizzy: Mandi the Mandibuzz that sits on her shoulder and glares at people. Red is scared of it.

Chick: Haxorus named Tusker, he likes parading him around and using him to intimate people in public. He also has the Pix the Sylveon who he evolved from an Eevee, and he doesn't really show off as much. He secretly loves them both a lot

The King: Arorus named Blue, also has an Archeops named Screech because dinosaur and also Archeops is cool

Other Pokémon: There's a Klefki that lives in the motel, Sally takes care of it being the one who runs it but it was there before she moved in

Lots of ground types living in and around Radiator Springs, plus some rock, steel, and fire types. Lots of Silicobra, Diglett, some Sandshew and Sandslash

Over by the lake there's more grass and water types, with mostly rock types over by Wheel Well before they cleaned it up

Lightning got his lunch stolen that he was eating outside by a Talonflame once

Mater also claims to have fought against the elite four and was even offered to replace the regional champion but he declined [he also claims Lightning was there as well]

I read rumors that Carlos slim has shares in F1TV but there is no reliable or unreliable source so, so far its bs (I checked all the stocks holders as well) HOWEVER, he does have partnerships

3 out of the 6 current partners of F1TV are owned by Carlos Slim (source: formula 1 website, Claro, Telcel, Telmex)

And one thing that I found very sus in my opinion there was a podcast where Carlos Slim denied any connection or influence regarding checo's seat literally 4 days before redbull confirmed checo's seat after the summer break

Just for funsies, do you have any fun little headcanons about the WGP racers? Also including the regional variants such as Long Ge, Flash Nilsson, Memo Rojas Jr, Vitaly Petrov and Frosty Winterbumper.

Hey!!! I’ve actually never thought too deeply about the WGP racers! I’m a big fan of Nigel Gearsley and Carla Veloso but I’ve not looked into it much further than that. However! I will talk about the thoughts I have had about them!

First off I like to think that racers got into the habit of pranking each other over the course of the tour, Rip Clutchgonski being a frequent victim. Carla and Raoul being the pair to plan the most memorable pranks, one included filling Nigel’s trailer to the brim with tacky lightning McQueen memorabilia in Tokyo, a prank that actually ended up costing them a fair amount of money. Shu, liked to think he was above the whole prank war the other racers had going on, but ended up giving Raoul a taste of his own medicine by getting his pit crew to agree to spray painting “Shu was here” in Kanji characters onto him while he took a nap after a practice on the track.

Sorry if this kinda sucks lol but that’s the main context in which I think about them all really!

Still… if they are hiding something, who else would be able to dig it up but you? Everyone loves a good exposé. You know what they say: Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

Can't believe I'm still debunking this nonsense in 2023, but people keep spreading misinformation. We have multiple copies of 15.18, many of which were released before the episode aired. In the scripts, there's no mention of reciprocation. In fact, it says Dean can't reciprocate.

Was it possible that Jensen ad-libbed a reciprocation? Yes, but that didn't happen. First of all, there were some Destiel shipping crew members who were there when they filmed that scene while others looked at the dailies. They have confirmed that Jensen never added in a reciprocation.

Second, Jensen has made it very clear that Dean sees Castiel as a brother.

Here, a Destiel shipping crew member tries to warn people not to believe conspiracy theories.

Some people took the tweet below on the left as proof something was cut, although she went back to clarify.

Adam Williams, who worked on the show, also confirmed that that line wasn't in the script or filmed version. He not only saw all the scripts, but since he edits the show, he was able to confirm that no version filmed had reciprocation.

Since he ships Destiel, why would he lie?

Again, we have the earliest version of the script in fandom, but multiple members of the crew have confirmed that there was never a version with reciprocation.

Misha himself spoke out against the conspiracy theory.

From the tweet: “I’m seeing a lot of commentary on the ending of #SPN & the recent Spanish dub & am disheartened to see there are a lot of misconceptions that are making many in our family feel unheard & unsupported, so I’m calling a #SPNFamily meeting to sort a few things out for the record: There was no conspiracy within the network, staff, or cast of #SPN to minimize or erase representation from the narrative & there was no alternate ending to 15.18. The Spanish voice actor, Guillermo Rojas (Dean) also confirmed that Dean's response was added.

What happened there?Memo: The adaptation came entirely from my director (Adrian Fogarty). He adapted it and gave us our acting guidelines, and I performed accordingly - I gave what he asked of me

So at this point, we have the scripts, we have a ton of Destiel shippers on the crew telling us that it was never in the scripts or the finale version, and we have the team confirming that it was added in.

In the post spreading the false rumor, it's stated

Well, I could get the translator (you know, our dear rouge translator) and he told me that while he doesn't remember it completely (Because he translates a ton of series)

So we are to believe the words of someone who doesn't remember it completely, stated by a person who already bought into a conspiracy theory and is searching for proof.

But don't just take my word for it. Ask Jensen.

Almost three years later, on August 19, 2023, a Tumblr user posted that she had managed to contact the Rougue Translator who had stated that whilst he didn't remember it completely, if the translation had had the line of reciprocation, it must've been in the script as he wouldn't have added it otherwise. The OP is still trying to track down the dub director [x] [x]. This brought back the speculations and the memories from the insanity of November 2020.

As the original post is a couple days old, it's possible that the news just hasn't spread until now. Alternatively, the catalyst for the trend could be completely unrelated - the landing of an Indian lunar probe on the Moon earlier today [x] [x]. This was naturally announced on Tumblr with the Destiel meme, and the result can be seen on the trending page [x] [x]. Even if this news didn't directly cause the trend, it definitely helped.

Now that I think about it, how come there aren't as much furry arts regarding the Cars characters. Let's amend that with a few suggestions about them, starting with the WGP racers.

Francesco Bernoulli- Peacock with the Italian flag color scheme (vain and more than likely to attack his own reflection in the mirror, also prone to peacocking in front of Lightning and Sally but alas lost in translation)

Lewis Hamilton- Grenada Dove (national bird of Grenada and get cravings for papaya)

Nigel Gearsley- Tawny Owl (often noted for sometimes foolhardy advice but still considered wise)

Jeff Gorvette- Bald Eagle ('Murica fuck yeah, but has an exception for a certain Caribbean dove)

Miguel Camino- Bull (can get stubbornly passionate yet quick to defend for anyone wronged)

Carla Veloso- melanistic Jaguar (can tear people apart with words just as easily as with her claws)

Shu Todoroki- Platinum morph Japanese Red Fox (learns more into the foxes that are divine servants of Inari, is cajoled into pranks with Raoul)

Raoul Caroule- Stoat (most of his fans wait for winter for the blindingly pure white fur, cannot sit still for more than a second and often close to Shu Todoroki)

Rip Clutchgoneski- European Hare (surprisingly silent most of the time, uses his feet and sign language to communicate)

Max Schnell- Black Swan (very scary to the vast majority of people, very fatherly energy to fans that are children, takes a lot to anger him for a very good reason)

Frosty Winterbumper- Bearded Dragon (puffs out his spines and scales when frustrated, found sunning himself with cricket snacks)

Vitaly Petrov- Caspian Cobra (one of the few venomous reptiles that made it into the WGP, viewed with distrust along with Long Ge, both snakes are found sunning on another spot away from Frosty)

Long Ge- Chinese Cobra (one of the few venomous reptiles that made it into the WGP, casually threatens to spray venom into the eyes of people that annoy him but never follows through)

Flash Nilsson- Lancetfish (has an apparatus to allow him to breath out of water, known for his toothy grin as he demolishes surstromming, decorates his dorsal fin for sponsors)

Memo Rojas Jr- Ocelot (found in trees and hanging around on branches, tail is shorter than typical ocelots due to a few injuries from racing accidents)

I was watching the post-grandprix show of Fox Sports Mexico and when they were talking about Carlos, Memo Rojas (Mexican ex-driver) said that people in Mexico love Carlos and that he’s also loved by many of his girlfriends and then Giselle (an interviewer) said that yes a lot of her girlfriends always tell her please please introduce us and Giselle said that she tells them no no I always tell them I can’t he’s taken, he has an owner (but in the way she said it was like in a masculine way -ya tiene dueño- but then she quickly corrected herself and said it in a feminine way -dueña-) and I was like yeah, he’s taken by a guy, a green eyed teeth gaped curly boy 😂 (wink wink).

Ray Zubiri | @RayZubiri Y me refiero al personaje al que dio vida Kristyan Antonio Ferrer Medel en la película El infierno , que era sobrino de El Benny García, interpretado por Damián Alcázar. Ahí estuvo bajo la dirección de Luis Estrada y compartió créditos con Joaquín Cosío, Ernesto Gómez Cruz, María Rojo, Elizabeth Cervantes y Daniel Giménez Cacho. ¡Seguro ya se acordaron! Pues se armó la bonita plática con Kristyan Ferrer, un actor mexicano ganador de un Ariel de Plata a mejor coactuación masculina, otorgado por la Academia de Ciencias y Artes Cinematográficas. Ciudad Nezahualcóyot, en el Estado de México, fue el lugar que vio crecer a Ferrer, un talento mexicano que comenzó sus tablas en la actuación en el 2001 a la corta edad de seis años con participaciones en programas unitarios y como extra en televisión. Cursó de manera regular sus estudios de primaria, secundaria y preparatoria. Fue en 2005 cuando su pasión por las artes escénicas se consolidó al formar parte de su primer proyecto teatral profesional, llamado Beto y el Ciclo Maestro, de Jorge Bortolussi. En 2001, Kristyan hizo su debut en la televisora TV Azteca, pero su carrera en el cine comenzó en 2007 con la película Sin nombre, dirigida por Cary Fukunaga.   Posteriormente, participó en la película estadounidense Inhale, dirigida por Baltasar Kormákur. Con una madurez y un pensamiento enfocado en desarrollarse como artista interpretando buenas historias, el éxito de Sin nombre le abrió oportunidades en otras producciones, siendo llamado para actuar en El infierno, dirigida por Luis Estrada, y Días de gracia, de Everardo Gout. Ésta última le valió su primera nominación al Ariel. En 2011, tuvo una destacada participación en la película Tercera llamada, de Francisco Franco, mientras que en 2012 protagonizó la cinta Las horas muertas, de Aarón Fernández. En 600 millas, Kristyan Ferrer interpretó a Arnulfo Rubio, un joven sinaloense involucrado en el tráfico de armas de Estados Unidos a México, mientras que Tim Roth interpretó a Hank Harris, un veterano agente de la ATF. En 2017, participó en la película Moronga, dirigida por John Dickie, donde dio vida a Marilyn, un “muxe” involucrado en un conflicto social, al igual que el protagonista Peluco (Matthew O’Leary). También en ese año, formó parte de la puesta en escena El cielo de los presos, de Mauricio Bañuelos, obra que retrata el movimiento estudiantil en México en 1968. A lo largo de su carrera, Kristyan Ferrer ha participado en otras películas como La habitación, producida por Machete Films, y Extraño pero verdadero, de Michel Lipkes. Además, debutó como protagonista en la serie Realidad aumentada, que narra la vida de Memo, un joven con síndrome de Asperger. También ha trabajado en series como Aquí en la Tierra, producida por Gael García Bernal y Kyzza Terrazas. Participó en la primera y segunda temporada de la serie Un extraño enemigo, junto al actor Daniel Giménez Cacho, para la plataforma PrimeVideo, bajo la dirección de Gabriel Ripstein, quien también dirigió la cinta 600 millas. En 2022, estrenó la película Los Minutos negros, dirigida por Mario Muñoz, por la cual fue acreedor al Premio Ariel de la Academia de Ciencias y Artes Cinematográficas.
