Bridgerton, BBC Merlin and PJO matchup for @disneymbti! Ships are in order of who was the easiest choice to make!

Bridgerton

I ship you with Daphne Bridgerton! I think you are both very similar people, you're both optimistic young girls with brightness and kindness in your personalities, and maybe a touch of naivete. However, while Daphne seeks to fit in and is eager to conform to and fulfill society's expectations, you are more comfortable in your idiosyncrasies, in your uniqueness. You are less concerned whether your behavior is proper and more whether it is truly kind. You are also both extremely loyal people, who love their friends and family dearly and would do anything to make them happy.

Backstory

You were not a lady of the Ton, in spite of your proximity to it. Rather, you were a famous ballerina and actor, a performer, lauded by genteel society when onstage, and scoffed at as a libertine when off it. You never particularly minded what the Ton thought, when you had your own circle of people to be with, although a part of you always wondered what life was like on the other side of that invisible wall between the stage and the seats...

How You Met

Daphne visited the theatre to watch one of your performances with one of her many suitors. She was entranced by you, how you moved, your grace, your artistry. Afterwards she stayed to give you her congratulations, and found that this pretty prima ballerina was far more interesting than whoever her current suitor was.

Why They Fell for You

You showed her there was more to life than what had been dictated for her. You made her question everything she was sure she wanted, made her realize how little of it had truly been her choice. Daphne was certain the only path to happiness for her was to make a good match, marry him, and live the prescribed life of a genteel woman. You showed her that there were other paths to happiness available. You made her want to do something different with her life.

Confessions

When you heard Daphne had agreed to marry Prince Friederich, you were heartbroken. You knew it was inevitable, that you best friend (and secret crush) wouldd give in to the pressure and marry as was expected of her, but to have her moving so far away from you, all the way to Prussia... You had to see her again. One last time, before she made what might be the biggest mistake of her life.

So you ran to her. You begged her to tell you it wasn't true, that she hadn't agreed to an engagement, she couldn't. Then you begged her to at least say she loved Friederich, that at least she wasn't marrying a man she didn't love. She couldn't say that either.

Well who do you love then?! Why can't you marry them?!

Because, she told you through tears, it was you, and she couldn't have you, could she? You wrapped her in an embrace, swearing that she already had you, and that you would find a way to be together.

Headcanons

The two of you ride together daily across the country, stopping whenever you please to pick wildflowers and simply enjoy each other's company.

You and Daphne both wish for a family, so you choose to adopt, and since London is full of pitiable young waifs who need help, by the end you basically have an unofficial orphanage of youngsters who you love dearly.

As much as she loves watching you perform in public, Daphne's favorite performances are the ones you do just for her, she is your staunchest fan and will cheer just as loudly for you whether you're onstage in Convent Garden or the comfort of your house.

When you struggle with the unsaid nuances of the extremely low context culture of Regency high society due to your autism, Daphne is quick to step in and whisper what you need to know, and if your bluntness gets you into a spot of trouble, she always pulls you out with a practiced smile and soothing word to the offended party

She loves planning balls for and with you, its not necessarily that she actually intends to throw them all or expects to you attend them, she knows you're more introverted, but she enjoys it, she just likes doing something for you, thinking about you, its her form of a creative output.

The two of you met when your band of actors visited Camelot to perform in a harvest festival. It wasn't during one of your performances, but rather after, you were enjoying the festivities after your show was over and you found yourself chattering away with a tall, handsome knight with an unflappable calmness to him.

Why They Fell for You

You were one of the sweetest, friendliest people he'd ever met. So genuine and kind, your smile made his heart glow. He was amazed by how you could always see the best in people, your unflappable belief in their goodness. You were such an innocent in the best way.

Confessions

Your troupe never stayed in one place for long. You'd stalled as long as you could to spend more time with Leon, but eventually, you had to leave Camelot. When he saw your trope packing up to go, he galloped at full speed over to see you, to beg you to stay with him. Please, just for a little longer. He's always such a gentleman, classically chivalrous and respectful, he offers you his arm when you walk together, he helps you off your horse, he kisses your hand when you part and smiles at you softly, with such devotion and affection.

If you ever need his help you don't even need to ask, he'll step in immediately in a way so certain and casual it makes it clear he expects nothing in return, that seeing your face light up in gratitude is all the reward he craves

Loves to dance with you across the ballroom floor, adores how graceful you are as a dancer, how graceful you are when you move in general, he loves seeing you move in general, there's something so captivating to him about your body as you run, jump, ride.

Cancer Moons, I'm aware, can struggle with emotionality, they're a water sign and their emotions can ebb and flow and change like the sea. When you moments of doubt, of sadness, of anger, Leon is there, imperturbable in his devotion and soothing in his steadiness

PJO/HoO

I ship you with Piper McLean! Daphne I chose for your similarities, Leon I chose because of your preferences, but Piper I chose for your differences. To be clear, it's not that I think you have nothing in common, you're both extremely loyal and protective of your family (Piper almost to the point of possessiveness), and you're both kind individuals, but I like your contrasts more. Piper, while she is kind and empathetic, is also much more world weary and far less optimistic, she wants to see the best in people but she struggles with it. She's also much more socially adept, it comes with the territory of being a child of Aphrodite, it comes effortlessly to her, in a way I think she takes for granted. Also, you like typing people, putting them in boxes you can understand, while Piper is freeform, she goes with her gut. I think you need both to truly know oneself.

Headcanons

Piper, I feel, in spite of how naturally good with people she is, is actually more of an introvert at heart. I think she'd prefer to stay home with you, curl up on the couch and watch a Disney movie then go out to some event.

That's not to say she doesn't know how to give you a proper date though; she's a child of Aphrodite after all! When she wants to woo you, she'll show up with flowers, dressed to the nines, and take you to the nicest restaurant in town. You don't need a restaurant, a child of Aphrodite on a date just magically finds seating.

Piper was already a bit of an astrology/crystal girly before you met, but now she's thrown herself into it fully, to keep up with you, she loves seeing you talk about something you're passionate about, and she loves sharing something with you.

Based on your typing, you seem to be someone inclined towards activism, who wants to have a cause to fight for, and I think Piper is similar in that regard. I can see the two of you doing activist work together!

Maybe you start a halfway house together for runaways? For half bloods fleeing from monsters literal and figurative, for queer kids who've been kicked out of their homes, they're all your kids now.

Backstory

Usually in a PJO matchup, I make the matchee a demigod/mythical being of some sort. However, this just doesn't feel right for you and Piper for some reason. So I don't think you're part of the demigod world- I think you're a mortal. A mortal with some degree of mist sight, yes, but you don't live in the mythic world of monsters and gods. You live in the mortal world. Maybe in Hollywood? Either onstage as an actor or singer, or offstage as a screenwriter.

How You Met

Aquarius risings often have a uniqueness to their features, and I think it was that uniqueness, whatever you consider you consider that to be (your freckles perhaps, or your eyes) that drew her to you, at least, physically, when she saw you on the set of her father's latest picture.

Piper is a very self assured person, at least, when it comes to socializing, and when she sees someone who interests her, she has no problem coming over and saying hi, introducing herself.

Why They Fell for You

Piper had struggled to fall in love again, after Jason. She knew she had little choice but to break up with him, she didn't really love him, but a part of her still wondered if maybe, if they'd still been together, he would have lived... maybe he wouldn't have sacrificed himself... but you made her feel better. You were just so lovely and kind, you brightened her day and made her feel warm and fuzzy inside in a way she hadn't felt in a long, long time.

Confessions

Piper almost waited too long to confess to you. It wasn't until the monsters found her again, until she was attacked and you were almost badly injured in the crossfire, that she confessed to you. Everything. Her godly heritage, her hero status, her feelings for you. Seeing you almost hurt, because of her, it was unbearable.

Imagine her shock when you chose to stay. To brave it out, to be with her.

🤣 Morgana, Morgan and Morgause + Merlin and Mordred = dysfunctional villainous family.

funny thing about this scenario is that Starz Merlin is often gone for days or sometimes months at a time and nbd knows where tf he is. Sometimes he visits BBC Merlin in Camelot. Their conversation goes like this:

BBC Merlin: aren't you worried for your arthur?

Starz Merlin: nah. he's fine. he got knights and all.

BBC Merlin: how old is he?

Starz Merlin: dunno...about 17? i think he was 17 when i last saw him 2 months ago.

BBC Merlin: ALONE?!?!?!? and he's YOUNGER THAN ME?!?!?

Starz Merlin: He was helping build the castle with his bros and whatnot

BBC Merlin: HOW ABOUT HIS SAFETY? MAGIC BEASTS?? TREASONOUS ASSASINS?

Starz Merlin (bewildered): He's a grown ass man and can handle himself. Do I look like a damn babysitter? Hell no. I got sht to do. I already got him a library and loyal knights. If he's my king then he better act like it. If he cant keep himself alive then what's the point of putting him there on the throne.

Starz Merlin: wait why are your questions like that? Are you implying that you are with your Arthur 24/7?

BBC Merlin: He won't survive without me if I let him out of my sight. There are always threats to his life,

Starz Merlin: and how old is he?

BBC Merlin: 25

Starz Merlin: (stands up) waste of time talking to you when you cant even do your job right.

BBC Merlin: but...

Starz Merlin: I invite you to dinner with the ladies tho. they'll be thrilled to see you

BBC Merlin: no they wont

Starz Merlin: relax, i'll be there.

Starz Merlin suddenly wakes up in his bed and sees Morgause, Morgan and Morgana at the foot of his bed.

Starz Merlin: hello ladies.

Morgan: now that is how you chain him up! Neat isn't it?

Morgause: in bed?

Morgan: yes my dear.. and then you can take as many body parts of him as you want! like nail clippings!

Morgause: For?

Morgan: for future purposes (winks)

Morgana: (takes notes)

Morgana: hey Morgan, i think it'd be more entertining if he's wet.

Morgan: I like the way you think.

Mordred: so nice of you to let them practice on you

Merlin: (sighs) look no matter how much i warn them about the consquences they wont listen. At least this prison is comfy. They'll be in pain from using sorcery in about 2 hours anyway.

BBC Merlin, not taking his eyes off morgana: I DIDNT WANT TO.
