Okay so like I’m kinda developing what I’m calling my “Post-Rescue AU” for Mouthwashing and it’s gonna have some complicated Curlanya in it and I have a few fics planned/partially written (I don’t know when they’ll be out, school is kicking my ass rn) and its all from Anya’s POV because her perspective and choices are what I really want to focus on in this happier ending but that also means Curly’s thoughts aren’t usually shown so I just want you all to know that at a certain point the vibes are just kinda this:

okay i sketched this SUPER quick at like 10:30 last night BUT ANYWAY

i like the idea of roger kind of taking over jack’s position as leader of the hunter’s tribe after a while because i’ve always seen him as a lot more violent and savage (is that an ok word? idk) than jack and feel like it could’ve been a possibility

and maybe that would lead to jack either running off like ralph did and trying to get away from the rest of the tribe or accepting it and staying under roger (probably the more unlikely option)

ralph on the other hand would’ve build himself a shelter on the far side of the island (i have no idea how big it is but say it’s pretty dang big) and has been surviving all by himself the whole time. idk maybe ralph and jack meet up and get over their past rivalry and form a partner/friendship or something

i also really love @/star-conch’s no rescue AU designs i think they’re really cool!!

Alright, I think Ana and Heinrix end up developing a relationship that’s certainly healthy by 40K standards but still a bit codependent.

Ana grew up on a planet where mutants were generally viewed a bit more forgivingly than in other parts of the Imperium (though not by much they’re still treated as second class citizens at best. This cultural post will come eventually and soon I promise) so she doesn’t have quite the same level of Catholic angst about being a psyker as Heinrix does, that being said it has certainly left its mark (thinks a lot about the in game Inscribed Soul ability and about how you literally have to take damage to use it).

Heinrix by contrast, grew up on the sort of planet where mutants were undoubtedly as discriminated against as in any other part of the Imperium if not worse thanks to events in the distant past at the end of the Dark Age of Technology and Old Night. He would have had the notion practically beaten into his head that psykers were fundamentally inferior, dangerous and evil and once he developed psychic abilities himself he became that in his mind. Combine that with the Imperium’s general attitude towards psykers, being in the Inquisition and so on and it’s no wonder he sort of attaches himself emotionally to the first pretty woman (or handsome guy if you use mods) in power who shows positive attention.

Neither of them have had a long term relationship before, they both have awful views about human supremacy by virtue of their respective Imperial upbringings, and they’re both war criminals but by the God-Emperor they’re going to try and make it work.

it's been weeks and i'm still so compelled by the background storyline of hawke going to weisshaupt after here lies the abyss. like. it makes no damn sense. maybe if hawke has a living sibling who is a grey warden, you can twist the logic of it, but i did not have that and also hawke said she wanted to make sure corypheus died and neither staying in the fade NOR going to weisshaupt really accomplishes this goal. like there is NO reason for hawke to be up at weisshaupt, this is not in her lane, this is not her business, her skin is NOT clear, her crops are NOT watered. the wardens are not the responsibility of your Just Some Guy from Kirkwall who has potentially zero connections to the wardens at all except for that one time they super causally tried to use her as a blood sacrifice (maybe she and the first warden can laugh about it some day, but somehow i doubt it!).

BUT. but. the mental imagine of hawke going there and then her sibling (if alive) and her love interest ALSO going there, just to meet up with her, makes it so bonkers funny i don't even care if it doesn't make sense. wtf do you mean hawke family reunion relationship drama in the austere home of the wardens where they all show up and then the entire leadership of the wardens suddenly implodes as civil war breaks out and then their asses get STUCK there. wtf do you mean hawke inadvertently sticks her ass in the middle of yet another civil war while simultaneously having to patch things up with her LI and deal with a sibling dynamic at the same time. hawke can't catch a fucking break istg. it's just her, her sibling, and her LI as their own little three person party while some truly WILD shit goes down and the epilogues are all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about what happens other than like two lines that put the most insane images into my head. there's a sped-up video of this going down in my mind with the benny hill theme playing in the background. why does varric talk like hawke is still at weisshaupt during trespasser, which takes place two entire years after hawke was meant to go there to give a basic report and then dip. how is this THE most hawke thing to ever happen and we're just. told nothing more about it except that varric got One™️ message from her via an entire smuggling syndicate that essentially says "damn, shits crazy here" and that he assumes hawke will walk away from the building while it's exploding sometime in the near future because apparently the conflict there is not yet resolved. again, this is TWO YEARS LATER. like trespasser is fun and all but truly can we revisit wtf this was all about because WHAT
