Metamatic - John Foxx
Metamatic by John Foxx is a wonderful synthpop album 1980. This has I think the perfect of pop sensibilities, interesting lyrics, and really good instrumentation. Outside of the vocals I believe it is entirely electronic instruments(although I could be wrong and some non electronic instruments could be processed by synths in it) making the sounds in the music. If you are into albums like Computer World or The Man Machine by Kraftwerk I would highly recommend this album. Also, gotta say I adore the drum machine in this, but I have a thing for old analogue drum machines. My favorite track is "Underpass", which might be a bit basic of an answer, but I don't care.

It's once again time for me to just post a random song from an artist I've never heard of before because it was shared on Discord somewhere and I thought it was cool. Here's "Colmic Zeus" by Metamatics, off the 2002 album From Death To Passwords Where You're A Paper Aeroplane, which is 100% the title of an IDM album you can tell without even me telling you that's how it's classified on Discogs

AllMusic Staff Pick: John Foxx Metamatic
After leaving Ultravox!, John Foxx began the 1980s by releasing one of the best and most groundbreaking synth pop albums of all time. Rarely has anyone made cryptic lyrics, alien electronics, and dystopian dread this accessible. If you're familiar with Gary Numan but not this, please fix that right away.
