Made up ecstasin: metaphor for music

Will explain music industry by metaphor. Imagine a world were wonder product ecstasin arrives.

Is legal and used widely with no side effects! And quickly becomes go to especially for parties. But people enjoy in public areas and even tolerate in elevators.

Mostly used at home though and among friends or with intimate partners.

And ecstasin most definitely was loved as a more pure way to get desired vibe versus other things like food or drugs.

But most of the ecstasin considered potent was produced by a few manufacturers. Big corporations churned out for the masses.

Other variations were available but were called indie.

And with the big corporations there were concerns they often cut product for profits to levels where the high was harder to find.

The vibe was much derivative and originality was rare except with indie.

And there was concern they tried to freeze out other distributors especially indie.

Then? New machines arrived that could manufacture ecstasin for anyone widely. Were they new hope? Or new problem for quality?

Xemnas: villain the narrative keeps adding complexities to because it accidentally got attached

Xigbar: egging the narrative on

Xaldin: narrative's chosen guy for disagreeing and being in a bad mood

Vexen: narrative's conflict generator (both his replica project in Days and his everything in CoM)

Zexion and Lexaeus: prey the narrative toyed with a little too much that gave the narrative some illness after being eaten (Zexion) and guy engineered to help the narrative's prey last longer (Lexaeus)

Axel and Saïx: narrative's favorite and guy doomed to be relevant forever due to his relationship to the narrative's favorite

Demyx: who fucking knows at this point. class clown

Luxord: "surprise tool to help us later" says the narrative

Marluxia and Larxene: weird things from the junk drawer that the narrative rediscovered and decided to use for an art project

crucial to the rosie/vox/alastor dynamic to me is that at any given moment, one of them is getting harassed by the other two. rosie and alastor pretend not to know what modern slang means to drive vox crazy. vox and alastor will not shut the fuck up singing showtunes at 3am while rosie's trying to sleep. rosie and vox cyberstalk alastor for shits and giggles to see how long it'll take him to get fed up and blow up the voyeurscope they have tailing him
