This app and the people so far have been really chill, so I'm gonna start posting stuff about my interest and whatever, so hello, this is like my proper introduction. I am NOT a social person. I fear social interaction so much, so I'm afraid of people online. I'm doing this whole thing to A. Get over this fear of mine & B. Make more friends because friends are awesome!

My friends normally just call me Philipe or Toast

(Both nicknames one from an old gamer tag and another just taken from my name)

I'm a strange person, and I'm not gonna try to act normal to please anyone. I am STRANGE, and I will be embracing it. Now, when I say strange, I don't mean like I'm collecting people's teeth and dried blood. I mean, when I'm speaking, I kinda just don't know what I'm saying. 70% of the time, I will be talking about absolutely f#ck all. (No idea how Tumblr is with swears and all that jazz, so just being safe)

Aside from me being a weirdo most the time the 30% of the time I'm grounded and using the pink thingy in my head to interact, I'm an enjoyable person. I am a YAPPER! When I get going, I won't stop unless someone says to stop, so don't be afraid to shut me down. I can also listen, but something is wrong with my ears, so you'd be hearing a whole lot of "Huh?" & "What'd you say?" I AM TRYING THOUGH I TRY REALLY HARD TO PAY ATTENTION AND LISTEN BUT IT'S DIFFICULT SOMETIMES.

Michael Reeves - Witchfinder General (1968) A true horror classic and particularly impressive in the context of the british horror films produced at this time, Witchfinder General finds Vincent Price at his most serious as a story about hypocrisy, abuse, cruelty and violence set in Civil War England. This is the last film by Michael Reeves, who would die at age 25 from an accidental overdose and you can clearly tell that it's a film made by a young man pushing the envelope of what was possible and acceptable in horror in the late 60s. This is a much more gruesome, cold, sadistic and just plain cruel film than those of his contemporaries, it feels at the same time mean and revolutionary. Reeves was definitely a talent to be reckoned with and it's hard not to think of what could have been if he had kept going. The story follows the titular Witchfinder played by Vincent Price as he scams peasants by being paid for getting rid of witches, which he does by forcing confessions, making up reasons for accusation and generally being a serial killer with social approval. More than this he is also a rapist who convinces potential victims to sleep with him as blackmail, only to later betray them. The film ends up being a rape-revenge by proxy flick as the fiancée of one of his victims makes it a mission to hunt him down and kill him. A pretty harrowing film, devoid of the campness of its contemporaries, taking the subject seriously and horrifically, it's a revolution paving the way to other Folk Horror masterpieces to come from the British Isles.
