What do you think will happen/what are your expectations for book 8?

I really wish that besides Grim, somehow Yuu also had an overblot, even without magic, maybe somehow when he is defeated Grim's blot passes to Yuu? It is said that Blot is only created by magic users, but if the blot comes from someone else, maybe it is possible for a non-magician to have an overblot, even because overblots are rare events, it makes sense that something like this would never happen before. I think it's very difficult to happen, since Yuu doesn't have a defined appearance, so they couldn't make an overblot Yuu sprite (unless it was some monstrous being without a human appearance), but it doesn't hurt to dream, right?

I don't have any specific predictions, but I expect book 8 to at the very least cover the following topics:

NRC vs RSA magift/spelldrive tournament (NRC wins?)

solving the mystery of Mickey Mouse in the mirror

Grim OB

Diasomnia returns to help us out with whatever

follow-up on Malleus's horn injury and/or character growth from book 7 (like what is he doing to repent for his actions)

Yuu has to make the choice to go home or to stay and/or something super convenient happens to keep them in Twisted Wonderland (like the reveal that they're dead or something)

reveal of Crowley's true motives

I've already spoken about my thoughts on Yuu ad nauseum but 💦 to make it clear where I stand on the question of "should Yuu have a bigger role in the main story?":

Yuu is the main character, but not the protagonist. MC =/= protagonist

Yuu is SUPPOSED to be ordinary, to show the arrogant and powerful NRC students that there is an alternative to their current methods

Yuu should be more involved, but in a way that doesn't impede the self-insert aspect of Twst + doesn't shift focus to make them the Most Important/Central Figure of Twst

I think the idea of Yuu OBing has been done quite often in fan content, but I don't think it will happen in canon. Firstly, it just cannot happen naturally since Yuu is incapable of magic (and blot is a magic byproduct). I don't think it's possible for someone to "catch" OB like it's a contagious disease either. The manga adaptation of Twst indicates that blot is caustic and literally eats away at whatever it touches, organic (grass) or inorganic (fabric, soil, etc.). It'd kill you, not corrupt you like it does with the mage from which the blot originates. Another issue is that the Phantom that arises with the blot leeches off a mage's magical energy to get by, and Yuu has none to offer. Maybe the one exception to this rule is Idia, due to the unique Shroud bloodline curse which easily munches away at the blot he accumulates and/or blot in the immediate area.

Secondly, I don't see a narrative purpose for this occurring in the script other than "it would be cool" or "it would make Yuu's presence seem ultra important". It'd also be pretty difficult to show in the narrative since each player has their own interpretation of Yuu. The OB form wouldn't fit everyone, and the post-OB flashback (assuming there is one) wouldn't be "true" of everyone either. We've never had an extended monologue of Yuu, we've never had Yuu talk at length about how they feel about being in Twst versus going home. In fact, they're given clashing dialogue options sometimes so you can pick whether your Yuu wants to stay or wants to leave.

I just think it doesn't make sense to throw in a Yuu OB. It's something that's best to stay in the realm of fan art and fanfiction, in my opinion. If it were to be canonized, surely there would be fans unhappy with the execution or the representation on their own Yuusona. Like you said, doesn't hurt to dream but it's unlikely to happen, so it's probably best not to get your hopes up.

As for your question…Well she never told them how she got her inert/stone face (and her hands/feet and tail being part inert as well) because if she does… let’s just say she’ll have to deal with the consequences with her “master”. With the bros, Mickey doesn’t really mind her face that much and doesn’t question it, Oswald however. When he first met her he was shocked to see her like that (not in a rude way, just kind of extraordinary to him). As they both become “friends” (I know what they are-😏) he always wondered how her face and body was… like this and feels bad to see her dealing with it everyday and wants to help her. Oswald would even go into Yen Sid’s workshop and looks for spells/curses on how he can help Ortensia turn back to normal (Mickey tags along as well cause he also wants to help Ortensia).

The second question no they do not know her situation. At least for now… but they’ll eventually find out sooner or later.

PART FOUR

                Jake’s never really watched or followed baseball, being more into football when he was at school, and his family also being very much into football. But he’s been to some games before, knows how the rules work. But he wants to know what team Mr Bradshaw supports, because he’ll have a team that he’s ride or die for, Jake knows it. He’ll have to save that for a first date question. And for the season to start before he tries listening to some games while he works. Sue him, he’s hopeful.

                After the initial fascination Bradley is too busy to think about Jake Seresin, mind circling back to the curriculum, new administration processes, learning the kids’ names and schedules for try outs. Continuing to get to know his new colleagues and starting to form a new social group, and hopefully some friends. It’s always harder as an adult and moving to a new city, let alone state. However he’s finally been invited along to a social event that isn’t a staff meeting or parent-teacher conference, and he’s a little nervous.

                Javy, the English teacher who has been the friendliest, has assured him that everyone will be nice, but he’s the only one Bradley will know. While most of the people in the team are also teachers, they work in different schools. However if he gets stuck on topics of conversation there’s always work as a fallback. Plus they have a quiz to win. He enters the bar, and it’s busy for a Wednesday night, but he realizes most people must be here for the quiz night. He sees Javy waving and heads over, relieved.

                “Hi.”

                “Hey man, glad you could make it. This is Rueben, Mickey, Neil and Callie.”

                Bradley files the names away, he’s good with faces and names and information, which he guesses is why Javy invited him along.

                “Welcome to the team man. Javy said you teach history?”

                “Yeah. And geography.”

                “Sweet! Callie teaches Info-Tech and design. Neil is cooking –”

                “Culinary arts!” Neil snaps.

                “Yeah, that. Mickey does math and I teach physics.

                “Wow. We’ve got a really good spread…”

                “Yeah. Because Javy is hypercompetitive against all the other teams…”

                “Ah…” Bradley says with dawning realization. “So I was brought in to increase your chances of winning then…”

                “Of course. You’ve got like… our weak spots covered plus you probably know stuff about baseball.”

                “Baseball?” Rueben asks with interest.

                “He’s our new coach…” Javy offers, nodding his head in Bradley’s direction. “You want a drink man?”

                Bradley nods, says he’ll take whatever is on tap, grins and feels a little more settled, it feels good to be socializing. He makes himself comfortable on a chair around the table, the others are asking about where he went to college and the conversation is flowing easily, and he accepts the beer Javy slides beside him with a quiet thanks. When the conversation suddenly stops he wonders if it’s something he’s said but realizes all eyes are fixed behind him and he turns to look, wonders what they’re all looking at.

                “Natasha…” Javy says, and he sounds amused and Bradley is certain there’s something else going on, something he’s missing.

                “Javy. Who’s the new guy?”

                “Bradley, meet Natasha. She’s the enemy… member of the team we have to beat.”

                Everyone else at the table groans and Bradley is definitely missing something, but he’s pretty sure it’s all in fun, because Javy and Natasha are just grinning at each other, although there’s maybe a little more teeth than strictly necessary.

                “Bradley. And what do you teach Bradley?”

                He wants to ask how she knows he’s a teacher, however he’s sitting at a table with five other teachers so he guesses it doesn’t take a genius.

                “Uh. History.”

                “Wait. You’re the new history teacher…” she says, and her eyes are sweeping over him with renewed interest and Bradley swallows, if he was standing he’d take a step back, suddenly feels like a piece of meat on display.

                “Uh. Yes.”

                “Hmm. I think we spoke on the phone a couple of weeks ago. I work at the historical village.”

                “Oh,” Bradley offers, isn’t what sure what else to say. Javy is looking at Natasha with a raised eyebrow, expression calculating and Natasha is looking at Javy with narrowed eyes and Bradley looks at the others who either look resigned, bored or amused.

                “You’re due to come in next week right? With your class?”

                “Uh, yes. That’s right.”

                “Hmm. I look forward to seeing you there. Javy. Javy’s team.”

                As one the others all lift their drinks to toast her as she walks back to her team and Bradley turns back to face them all.

                “They’re married," Neil offers.

                “What? Who?”

                “Javy and Natasha. But they’ve been on separate quiz teams since before they got together, and losing team has to do the dishes and take the trash out… and that’s where we stop asking questions.”

                “It’s why Javy is so competitive.”

                Bradley lets out a laugh, glad to have an explanation for the weird level of intense energy he’d just had to endure. When Natasha’s team, the Historical Harlots, play their spot prize of steal a point to take first place away from Javy’s team he finds he’s not at all sorry for their loss.

Now here's the thing. I don't hate Her original design. I think it is alright....however from what it was inspired by, which was Moroccan and Amazigh outfits from what I saw online in the Wish book, I found it severely lacking from what the outfit is supposed to be inspired by.

In her original outfits, it had those core features and I'm not sure why they stripped that core feature away from her.

(Sorry for the blurry image i dont have a good one)

(Also Side note I learned about what this outfit was inspired by later on from when I was redesigning her outfit since I thought that the architecture seemed to be inspired from Spain's architecture in a way, which made me thought that it would make sense for the outfit to be inspired by that. And that was definitely my bad. I should have done more research on what it was supposed to be inspired from originally. Which is why I wanted to fix mine as well represent what was originally inspired by with what I had in mind for the character.)

Not only that, the colors on her original outfit was very very dull. It made her look very bland and boring and blend in with the crowd of copy and paste bg characters. Meanwhile her other outfit stood and and was really pretty, and my far my personal fav concept art I've seen of her :D

A shame that this outfit wasn't in the original film :(

Here is the thing, the purple could have worked, IF the colors were more saturated, and not so dull.

Plus I am somewhat mixed on the color scheme since I also really like the red and would be a good nod for Mickey's outfit in "The Sorcerer's apprentice"

However I also went with a darker pallet so it can reflect Star's design for when it will be done :3

Her job as a apprentice

Her job is pretty simple (even if she will never get paid for it)

Besides learning magic from Magnus, she does go on errands/restock items/kinda like a messenger in a way (last one is a maybe)

She has a full plate and it is very draining, to the point where she would overwork herself to the point of exhaustion. Doesn't really have time to draw...right?

I mean she has sketch books...but she doesn't *gets abducted by the spoiler police again*

because she’s got a lot of little things. mostly they are very cute and strange little things.

starting off strong we have the prettiest tissue box in the world. 9/10, i think if i were sick it would make me feel better to have such a nice tissue box.

i’m fairly certain this is her diary beside it because her diary looks pink in the upside down version of her bedroom. so this is probably it? 11/10, i want to read it so bad. and very sweet pic with mom—7.5/10.

next up these pinstripe pants !! 10/10 i love them so much. oh and the index finger ring is there obviously, 8/10, such a consistent piece of her character.

a ribbon for being the bestest girl ever in the world. 10/10. also the card of cardinals: 6/10, probably just a christmas card or something rather than a symbol of her love for birds. but i still like it.

mr rabbit gets 11/10 for the name alone. and why does he look dead. i love him. he’s me.

descent from xanadu: QUITE LITERALLY 0/10. at first i was SO excited to cheer her on for reading a sex and drugs book at school but as it turns out? bizarre and gross. seems to go heavy on nonconsensual stuff. i snagged a free pdf and command f’d for whore and bitch. lots of results obviously (one use of c*ck crazy bitch…lovely). it seems men in this book say a lot of sexist stuff that the women pretend to hate but love which i can’t imagine is great for a teenage girl to consume. also just not sexy at all.

literally so bad, and this is not the worst of it.

sooo bad. the author was what 70 (??) writing that his female character got clinically DIAGNOSED with being a slut for every guy she comes in contact with. i know options for sexy literature were probably limited at this time but…please go check out something else. i wanna bonk her on the head with this book (paperback) and hug her. you don’t need to read this to be cool and sexually aware. moving on.

on the other side of that, the blondie calendar gives us a sense of the GOOD media she’s consuming!! a 10/10 no questions asked. we don't really get to see many of her hobbies or interests outside of investigation so this is a much appreciated detail.

of course like all good things in life the blondie calendar does get replaced. its replacement is what i will call Weird Antinaturalist Art Piece #1 seen in her room in s4. i give it a 4/10 because idk what’s going on really.

and here is a very crunchy screencap of Weird Antinaturalist Art Piece #2 from s4 which i will give a 5/10. note the boyfriend typical photography above it, for sure a 10/10.

there is also Weird Antinaturalist Art Piece #3 which gets an 8/10 because i like the composition and the piano player. where did she get this and why. interior decoration is her passion.

tom cruise poster is 1000000/10 actually. she is so loyal to that man. actually though not a great pic of him all things considered so maybe i give it a 999999/10. (i love it so much because i know for a fact that jonathan byers works proactively to never acknowledge this poster, because he is more mature than that.) (he is not more mature than that, in fact he is a little pouty about mr cruise.)

KITTY FIGURINE. 10/10. i thought it was just in s4 but i found it on her other nightstand in s1. very very adorable. i imagine it is now one of the first things she sees in the morning (well that and her blue telephone: 8/10) which is bizarre and cute. the mixtape drawer gets a 10/10 for reasons that i don’t think i need to get into.

white fingerless gloves! 10/10. so chic for monster hunting.

black fingerless gloves from s4. hmmm 3/10, they're cool i guess but they don’t feel very nancy and the white ones are so much better. especially because you may get the splatter effect of monster blood on them in a battle scenario, which would be badass.

piggybank (with her name on the side). 2/10 unfortunately i don’t like him. he looks at me like i took out his whole pig village and i just need some quarters. also did she paint this herself? in that case, 3/10 for customization lol.

pastel underwear drawer: 10/10. her committment to the hollistic aesthetic and color palette of her room is impressive here. it was a good idea to use this drawer as a deterrence against her little brother and a money hiding place but clearly he has no manners and is a THIEF.

STRIPED SOCKS. 10/10. i realize it's hard to see because she's moving so fast (slow down he is not going anywhere) but they are indeed stripey even though i would have guessed solid white. and wow what good sleeping socks. stripes are just cozier. hope she got lots of sleep in those.

(Part Two: The Stan Twins)

Stan:

Stan has spent the majority of his life as an actor. Ever since he was young, he auditioned for parts in plays; giving him an early start to his career. His lengthy experience has allowed him to perfect the art, becoming a professional of the finest quality. He would have never ended up at this point, however, if not for his passion for performing.

"I'd have to say I love the thrill of it. Always have. Putting on a persona and just fallin' back into the character. I dunno too much about the mental implications — that's more of Ford's thing, ya see: nerd stuff — but maybe the fact that it makes me feel in control of the situation is why. And, yeah, I know that it's 'you' not 'ya,' or whatever. I get enough of that at home from you-know-who," he explained upon questioning.

He was requested specifically to play the role of "Stanley Pines" by the creators, Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. They claimed that they thought no one would be able to bring the character to life as well as him. After all, it was a difficult balance of "greedy conman," "grumpy old man," and "secret softie" that had to be done perfectly in order to accurately reflect the vision. A feat they believed only Stan was capable of achieving. Ultimately, they were right: Causing Stanley Pines to become a character loved by the public all because of Stan's acting.

In his free time, he tends to attend casinos for the cause of gambling. He'll walk in with a small amount of cash in his pockets (moderated by Ford to ensure that his twin doesn't accidentally drive himself broke) and come out with bags overflowing with money. He claims to be an extremely lucky person with natural talent and good instincts when it comes to the activity. He has been accused of cheating by many, but his good heart and reputation is enough to challenge and disarm such slander. (Plus, Ford comes to his brother's defense in a way so aggressively protective that some of them back off immediately out of fear.)

Despite his tough outside and gruff voice, he's a kind person who cares a lot about those around him. He's started multiple charities with the money he's won from casinos and gained over the years in an attempt to help those in need. He implores others to step up and do the same, since every donation and act to make the world better makes a difference.

He lives with his twin brother, Ford, and the two of them spend much quality time together. Some people are suprised that they still stay so close at their age, but they just reply that they're like fictional counterparts and wouldn't have it any other way.

Ford:

Ford is a well-established scientist whose scientific endeavors, while usually being a bit more unorthodox, have paved the way for several accomplishments. He strives for the betterment for society and believes that in order to make discoveries, you need to realize and accept the truth surrounding you. Recently, he's also developed some fame for his first ever acting role of playing "Stanford Pines" from the adored series, "Gravity Falls." The story of how he came to receiving that role is one of humorous coincidences.

"It really was just a huge struck of unbelievable luck — though it was because of Stan, so maybe it isn't that out-of-left-field. The beginning of the story, so I was told, was this: Stan was talking to the writers about upcoming episodes and they revealed to him that they were going to green screen him as double for the rest of the series for the long-lost twin brother, Stanford. Stan was asking about the appearance — what does the twin look like, are there any specific details he should know in advance for when it came to dressing for the scene shoot — so then they mentioned, 'Oh! Well, he has polydactyly, so we'll have to find some way to add an extra pair of fingers on.'" Of course, Stan immediately thought of me and told the crew about having a twin brother who just so happened to have six fingers. They were delighted by this information and offered me the role as a result.

"I didn't know what to think at first. Acting wasn't my forte and I didn't have much experience; not to say that I had none, for there were a few times where I covered for Stan when he had to drop-out last minute. Regardless, I still wasn't very skilled in that particular field of expertise. I wasn't that confident in my ability and felt that my acting would only hinder the quality of the show. That should've been the end of it.

"Yet, it wasn't because Stan is nothing but stubborn, and I can't help loving him for it. He sat down next to me and gave me an encouraging talk. He said that I'm much better than I think I am and this would be a chance to prove those words to be true. He then...he then told me that he would love to be able to work with me on set, and that accepting the role would save the CGI crew some time. At that point, I couldn't refuse, so I was welcomed as the actor of 'Stanford Pines'. And I have to say, I don't regret that decision," the scientist reminisced during a behind-the-scenes interview.

Ford is usually quiet unless a topic of his interest is brought up or he's speaking to a person he enjoys conversating with. He's extremely fond of academics and has been found to help the younger actors with any educational assistance they require; whether that be a math problem they don't understand or an in-depth lesson on theme.

Now, this part is purely theorizing, but many people suspect that he has some kind of past relation to popular actor, William (actor of "Bill Cipher"). Despite the two claiming to not be familiar with the other, they seem to avoid each other specifically out of all of the cast members — even on their supposed 'first day' of meeting! William is more subtle, suddenly being reminded of things and gaining convenient excuses to leave the room. Ford, meanwhile, just slips away once the yellow triangle comes near. However, please remember that this is pure suspicion and not anything valid, so do with this information as you please.

Discussing Hide and Seek Pilot Tapes

So the Hide and Seek Pilot tapes are apparently canon too. So let's discuss. Note: I know I probably already mentioned some of these points in a previous post but I'm bringing it all up again.

First off I think "pilot" implies that these came first, before anything else. So that's where I'm gonna assume they take place in the timeline.

So here's what I notice in the first tape:

First off, Amanda and Wooly are still clearly friends at this point. Amanda and Wooly were still best friends at this point. "Right now I'm playing with my best friend Wooly." She says in a way that does not feel forced at all, like she means it.

When looking for Wooly, she says the box is a "good hiding spot" which is foreshadowing that it was supposed to be her hiding spot. More on that later.

I gotta say the art style of the storyboards after Wooly is found is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE AND MY FAV BY FAR. It's so cute!

When Wooly starts talking the song "I'm An Animal, and I Ta-" from the game's original soundtrack starts playing. It kind of feels like it was meant to be a leitmotif for Wooly. I noticed it mainly because it's one of my favorite compositions on the soundtrack heh heh... is it just me or is it a little messed up that they chose the song from when Wooly turns into a literal sheep to be his leitmotif? Is that symbolic in any way or am I just reaching? Either way I think it's pretty funny!

I didn't really understand in the music video why Wooly kept asking for it to be his turn only to get really scared when he actually got it. Now that I've rewatched the pilot tapes... I think I have a better idea about it. It's because that's the script and Wooly likes to stay on script. But that clearly doesn't mean he LIKES the script.

Also, while the scene where Wooly asks "what comes after one?" is pretty funny I also find it a bit weird. Like, does Wooly actually not know how to count? Like he could just be sticking to the script but far as I recall from being a little kid myself once (I know, shocking). Usually they'd simply ask the viewer to count with them, I don't recall any characters legitimately NOT knowing what comes after one. Like sometimes they'd say something like: "Can you help me count all these rubber duckies?" or something but I don't think I'd ever seen a show where the character simply doesn't know how to count. And I also had to watch a LOT of these type of shows with my younger siblings and cousins growing up (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is permanently SEARED into my brain thank the universe for Bluey).

So like genuine question... does Wooly actually straight up not know how to count? He even sounds really unsure the entire time he's counting like... it's just a possibility but like does he really not know? Because that would genuinely be really interesting.

Wooly calls the tree a really good hiding spot, you know cuz it's HIS hiding spot. Side note: It's really neat to see them having so much fun with this in the first tape. Like they are genuinely having a blast.

Moving on, Wooly got REALLY startled when Amanda jumped out at him. Can I make it a new headcanon that he startles easily? (TBF that's the same reaction I have whenever people try to startle me. I'm not scared, just really caught off-guard).

But what happens next is really interesting because Wooly points out that Amanda went off script and he's unsure how to feel about that. He seems really confused. It made me wonder if Wooly likes staying on script because that way you always know what's going to happen and how to react to it. Amanda was out here going off script and changing the episodes for her own amusement from the very start. Wooly also seems a lot more okay with going off script a little "as long as your having fun." but he doesn't seem to like it still.

Amanda and Wooly playing and messing around with each other as they run off screen is just so sweet! I wonder what happened to Grandma?? One of the biggest things I wonder is if this particular pilot happens before or after they get trapped. Like are they recording these lines in a recording booth? Or are they already trapped and haven't gotten their memories/awareness back yet? I think it might be option 2 just because Amanda was able to go off-script and Wooly seemed genuinely confused about it.

Anyway onto part 2!

Right off the bat Amanda seems confused and unsure about this episode.

Also I find it interesting how she hears out name and says: "Oh really I think we've met before" before getting cut off. This is yet another example of what seems to be the shows built-in censor system for when Amanda goes off-script. When she says "box" the tape glitches and says something else. It sounds like she says "tree" again. I wonder why? When the mouse clicks on the box Amanda seems uneasy. Could this be foreshadowing for Mr. Fox's death? Or does she already know he's not going to be there. Now whenever she says: "This is a good hiding spot" I think of the music video and I think Yeah, to hide a body Amanda?

Wooly still doesn't know how to count... Wooly's part isn't really different but when he says that she's not behind the tree there's this weird intense glowing from the left side of the screen. Wonder if that means something?

The only difference is now when he lifts the box he says: "You're not Amanda." Like... really Wooly I didn't notice a difference? <- sarcasm/joking.

Amanda's eye twitches when Wooly says he hopes he'll see us again soon. Then she says: "Let's play tag next time." which is obvious foreshadowing for her both not wanting to play any more hide and seek and wanting to play tag so badly. They also don't run off playing together in this ending... odd.

Idea that has never left me alone but now Epic Mickey got a remaster it came back with a vengeance:

Kingdom Hearts / Epic Mickey fusion AU.

Essentially it'd be even more apoc than KH already is, but with the added angst of Mickey himself being partially responsible for some of the mess. Heartless AND the Blot exist side-by-side. Oswald and all the Forgotten Toons are Nobodies but Doctor pulled a... let's just sum it up as Xehanort and convinced Oswald that the only way to be whole is to steal the Light from another person. (In truth, Mad Doctor wants to see what'd happen if a Heart was thrust into another Toon's body.) Luckily(?) Oswald blames Mickey so he's only gonna do it to MICKEY for "stealing" the position as future king of Disney Castle from him.

Because I figure that the previous rulers of the land where Disney Castle would later be built were a collation of wizards but Oswald was Forgotten after Master Werk Zi'bu and Master Yen Sid parted ways. It is canon though that Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pete were part of Minnie's Kingdom's which seems to be a whole other World as knights there which... is confusing but alright.

It makes Oswald double down on protecting the Forgotten Toons because to him, it's like Mickey Unpersoned them. When... no... no, honey. No. Clarabelle was not deliberately Forgotten over the years since Timeless River era Disney Castle. (This does raise weird questions regarding Smee though, since it was specifically a scrapped concept art of his design. Does this mean that there's a Chainsaw-sword Lionboy Sora in the Wasteland?)

This also means that Memory is an even more important thing in the setting, and during the events of 358/2 Days and early on in KH2, Sora is temporarily stuck in the Cartoon Wasteland.

Funny enough this also means that Power of Illusion is Mickey Mouse's own run of a Castle Oblivion type setup (Chain of Memories).

Least Favorite Character: Terry. Of course. He’s just so…hateable. Especially in this fic. The man is unhinged to say the least

Review: This was an amazing read that I devoured in a day. I was sucked in from the moment I opened it and didn’t close it again until I was done. If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I love me a good AU, and this AU does not disappoint. Mickey and Ian are written beautifully. With Mickey dealing with self esteem and internalized homophobia as well as Ian dealing with his bipolar and his insecurities surrounding it. There is a wonderful little cross over twist that I was so excited to read!!

Not to mention the absolutely amazing art work that accompanies this fic by @luluxa!!

Favorite Moment(s):

Ian and Mickey initial meeting, Mickey remembers nothing from the night before and watching him try to navigate how to handle interacting with this beautiful stranger.

Mickey had already figured out they at least hadn’t done anything significant, but he was unsure how he felt about the news they hadn’t done anything.  Even if he couldn’t remember it, he wished he had gotten to experience being with someone so beautiful.  Fuck, he needed to get out of here.  “Sorry for the trouble,” he mumbled as he went to stand up.  Suddenly there was a hand on his arm, and he was pretty sure he must have imagined the electric spark he felt even through the sleeve of his button-up. He gripped his hands around the mug, stopped moving except to turn his head to look at Ian with an eyebrow raised in question. “You weren’t trouble, Mickey.”

This moment where we see the complex feeling Mickey has about being with a man,

Before he could open the door and make his escape it was slammed shut as Ian closed it with an arm over his shoulder.  Ian crowded him close to the door with his other hand firmly on his upper arm.  The grip wasn’t painful, but it was firm, and Ian was at his back, surrounding him, caging him in.  It should have made Mickey pissed, should have panicked him, or caused him to react violently, to at least try to twist away.  Somehow it did none of those things, just made him feel held, contained, and, worst of all, safe.  The shame that those feelings came from being in another man's arm, being gently overpowered, was also somehow more distant while in this position.  Tensing, almost afraid to breathe, Mickey immediately went still, and his whole body and psyche were on high alert to the ginger at his back and what he was going to do.

And how Ian handles him with such care in the moment where he’s trying to run away,

Leaning down to speak quietly in Mickey’s ear, he felt Ian’s hand slide from his upper arm and travel across his chest, holding him against his front firmly.  The arm on the door remained in place, and Mickey focused on the large hand splayed on the door in front of him and the fact that he could feel the heat radiating from Ian's body.  “Mickey,” Just that for a moment, “I know you need to leave right now.” Mickey silently nodded his head in acknowledgment, “But I want you to come back.” Mickey swallowed the sudden spit that pooled in his mouth at the thought of returning, “Tonight.”  One final squeeze of his chest, “I’ll be waiting.” And then he was free and able to slip out the door.

I always love seeing healthy funny interactions with the Gallaghers and this scene with the family makes me laugh every time!

With Fiona's back to them, Ian looked up and, with raised brows, made eyes at everyone else who could see the horror that was now the cake.  They all had similar grimaces that quickly transformed to smiles when Fiona turned back around with clean hands.  She wasn't fooled. "Shut up; I know it's bad."

Oooh this smutty moment had me feeling all kinds of feelings…

Continuing to use his hand to stroke Mickey's dick, he put a sucking kiss just below the crease and then sunk his teeth in, careful not to bite too hard.

This whole scene of Mickey trying to explain his dynamic with Svetlana, how it all happened and Yev is just written in a great way

Ian hummed a response, just a sound to prove he was listening and thinking. Mickey could feel the words piling up in the back of his throat, wanting to be free. Pleading words to make Ian stay. Pathetic whining about how he was trying to be a better person. Even some desperate desire to show him the picture he had captured of Yev from this afternoon, a need to explain that his kid was actually pretty cool. He couldn't keep sitting there; he finally released Ian's hand and stood, checking his pockets for his smokes. He needed a goddamn cigarette right now.

Another moment following Mickey telling Ian about Svet and Yev. His thoughts and feeling about thinking he doesn’t deserve Ian and his insecurities hit right in the feels…

Ian smiled at him and came over. Seriously, Mickey wondered how he got to have this and if he would get to keep it. He planned on hanging on as long as he could, he didn’t know if this would work, but he already knew it wouldn't be because he walked away. Ian was going to have to end it if he decided he was done with him. He wouldn't blame him; he knew Ian could do so much better, but he was going to hold on tight until that day came and pray it never did.

A very subtle comment but it kinda ties together how much Svet and Mickey’s brothers care about him. It’s not heavy but it’s always so special to me

“Svet and my brothers are worried he'll pull me into his mess. ”

There were so so many amazing moments in this fic. Moments between Ian and Mickey. I absolutely adore Mickey’s relationship with Svet and Yev in this fic. The smutty moments are top tier. The fluffy moments are so sweet. And the angst was angsty.

Favorite quote(s):

Once she lived in the Milkovich home, it became clear to her how toxic the family relationship was. They had formed a tentative alliance. Although it wasn’t as visceral as his desire to protect Yev, Micky felt protective of her too. That day had been traumatic for her as well.

“You are safe here with me” “Safe with me, so safe, I’ll keep you safe”

He wanted to rub himself all over Ian, wanted to feel like he was under Ian's protection. He couldn't say any of those things, so he just kept him close, kept pulling him in when he would have pulled back.

Smiling up at him, feeling freer than he could ever remember. He'd shared his burden, and so had Ian, and they were both still here. Both still in it.

Final thoughts: This story has been on my comfort fic list since it came out. I love when AUs and cross overs are meshed with canon-compliant events. This fic has so many components that I’m not sure my review will do it justice. Just know you will not regret reading it! There are so many complex characters and relationships that it keeps you engaged from beginning to end. The moments where Ian and Mickey confide in each other about their respective pasts are scenes I regularly re-read. It’s written so beautifully how they are so insecure and sure that they don’t deserve the other but they want one another so bad that they are unwilling to let go and walk away. There’s a wonderful twist towards the end when we find out who Terry has been dealing for and that whole situation with Mickey and Terry is phenomenal. 100% recommend reading!!

Mikey is working on some concepts for new models/scenes/objects/graphics to add to the overall streaming setup. Chat it throwing around suggestions, mainly emojis. Then a question is sent in a donation.

What's with all the turtles, why turtles?

Mikey: Well turtles have become our families lucky charm, though the luck can be fickle, and we all decided on our specific turtle species for our own reasons.

Chat: We heard from B you had a job at a restaurant, wdyd?

Mikey: I'm mainly a waiter, but I can also act as a backup cook is we get short staffed, or slammed.

Chat: You can cook? Can the others cook?

Mikey: Yes, I can cook, I'm the main chef in this house! And as for my brothers cooking... well D can put together a great sandwich, but I will only trust them with the coffeemaker. B can't make simple things, but can cook borderline gourmet food if given the chance. Now Red, I think he can only boil water while under close supervision, otherwise we may lose another toaster.

Chat is finding this funny, and going through vast speculation on the others cooking abilities.

Mikey saves his current work and switches to a new project.

Mikey: Though I swear Red will eat almost anything you hand him, I don't know if he was half asleep, but he tried eating a bowl of rocks like it was cereal, up until he almost choked on a rock.

As they're walking, a thought enters Sora's head, one that keeps him in place as his friends advance forward; waiting for him and wondering what the hell's taking him so long?

"Sora!! We've walked like, 50 steps ahead of you. Get out of yer head!" Donald shouts.

"Sorry Donald, I was just thinking of something..." Sora explains.

"What were ya thinkin' of there kiddo?" Goofy asks.

"It's just...why does Donald, have a dick, but no testicles? What's up with that?" Sora answers, his tone truly perplexed.

"Wait, wait, hold on a moment now-"

"Hmmm...that is true, he does bring up a good point there Donald!" Goofy says.

"What do you-, how do you even-, wh-where did you find this out?!!" Donald questions, clearly outraged.

"Well I found this one popular image of you sporting a massive erection out of nowhere without the inclusion of any testicles. Now it's one thing for a duck to have a dick, much more a feathery one at that, but no balls?? What happened?" Sora says.

Donald grabs his phone out of Goof's backside and begins typing as Goofy shyly giggles.

"You mean this one??" Donald asks, shoving his phone screen directly into Sora's face.

"Uhmm...yeah, that's the one." Sora answers.

"Goddamn it!! Who took this nonconsensual, private photo of me?!" Donald shrieks angrily.

"Hey! That looks to be around the era when you was ha-yookin' up with those other ducks! What were their names again? José and Panchito?..." Goofy says.

"We don't talk about José and Panchito Goofy! You of all people should know that best by now!!" Donald says, waving his fists about crazedly and angrily.

"Yikes man, this is a pretty embarrassing moment to be photographed publicly!" Sora says through a chuckle at his expense.

"I was in the heat of battle!!" Donald shouts defensively, attempting to clear his name.

"Or, the heat of the moment~!" Goofy says with a blush and a snicker.

"Shut the hell up you-, you-, what the hell even are you??!" Donald stammers.

"A dog." he says.

"A do-" they both half-say in unison, blinking and exchanging glances at each other rapidly in awe of the answer they've just received.

"...What?" Goofy asks, feeling their judgmental stares melting holes into the back of his head.

"Bitch, you ain't no dog! Maybe in bed you are but otherwise-"

"Hol' up, hol' up, hol' up!! In bed?? You two are fuckin'??!" Sora asks.

"Great, you just had to go and spill the beans on our "passion" lives didn't you Donny?" Goofy remarks sarcastically, shaking his head in disappointment.

"Oh, more than that! He's the mother of my lil' duckies!! Ain't that right babies~?" Donald reveals, pointing and poking at Goofy's bulging tummy.

Goofy gasps in horror as his tummy wiggles, "Donald!! That was so unbelievably out of line for you!!" Goofy yells, appalled by his behavior.

"Oh can it! I know you like aggression, I've seen you in bed before!" Donald shouts.

"Oh! Oh!! Why don't you just go and reveal everything about our private lives outloud to Sora then?!!" Goofy shouts back.

"MAYBE I WILL!!" Donald yells at max volume.

"OKAY FINE!!" Goofy yells back, also at max volume.

"Oh no! The girls are fighting!!" Sora says, clutching his face as tears stream out from his eyes and down his cheeks.

"Quick! I gotta call Riku, he'll know what to do!" Sora says, dialing Riku's number into his Disney-branded iPhone.

Suddenly, Riku emerges into existence, phasing from nowhere next to Sora.

"You called?" Riku says.

"Wow, that was fast! Anyway, Donald and Goofy are fighting!!" Sora says, gesturing his hand towards the brawling anthropomorphic Disney mascots.

"What do we do?!" Sora yells in a panic, bouncing his feet in place nervously.

"Hmm, well since I've been summoned with absolutely no context of why this is happening; I'd suggest-"

"You're right Riku! We should go talk to them and break things up!!" Sora says, leaping into the fray.

The camera zooms in on Riku, who slowly turns his head to face the viewer.

"I was gonna suggest MURDER." Riku says, a demonic voice consuming his own.

He shakes it off and follows Sora who is now standing in between the struggling mascots; using his hands to keep them away from each other and preventing further fights from ensuing.

"Guys! This isn't like us! We-, we love each other don't we?! C'mon, why are you two being like this? Who cares about your relationship or whatever you do in your free-time? I certainly don't, now come off it and make up already!" Sora says, profoundly and heartfully.

Goofy sighs, "You're right. Donny, I'm a hyuckin' sorry about what I said..." he says apologetically.

"Me too...I love you more than anything in the world, you know that right?" he confesses, lovingly and apologetically.

"Aww, don't you get all started on me you little-" Goofy's sentence is interrupted when their lips mash into one another's, creating the sloppiest, nastiest smooch two humanoid animals could possibly conceive.

Sora sniffles as he embraces Riku tightly for comfort, "It's, It's so beautiful!" he whines, sobbing into Riku's shoulder as he does nothing more than pat his back a few times.

"Alright! Anyway, what should we do now?" Sora questions.

"How about we search for Donald's testicles? That way we could restore him to his former true glory." Riku suggests, surprising Sora.

"Whoa!" Sora exclaims, staring into Riku's soul.

"Wh-What?" Riku stammers.

"I thought you said you didn't have any context to the situation...so how'd ya know that??" Sora asks.

"Well we are best friends, meaning I can see everywhere you go along with everything you say, so I guess I actually did have context from the beginning!" Riku explains, pointing at the clear "Soulmate AU" markings over his forearm's skin.

"Huh, alright then! Let's go and find Donald's testies~!!" Sora declares, doing an excited pose as they set off on an adventure.

"But wait, where do we even begin?" Goofy asks.

"Anywhere! C'mon, they're just BALLS. Surely it couldn't take that long to find them right?" Sora expresses.

(20 YEARS LATER)

They all meet up in the same area they were at 20 years before their utterly horrifying, dreadful, and traumatic adventures apart from one another.

"Okay...so, anyone found them?"

"Well, I thought I did...but it turned out to be a jar of mayonnaise. L-Like, a really, REALLY big jar of mayonnaise-" Goofy explains.

"We could always just-, y'know, go back in time and stuff." Riku suggests.

"GREAT IDEA RIKU! God I love that handsome face of yours!!" he says, gayly kissing his best friend on the lips in a very platonic and no-homo fashion.

Suddenly, they leap throughout time and space. Accidentally exploding and killing their alternate universe selves in the process.

"Woah...I just-, I just watched myself die dude...that's like-, super existential and shit..." Donald says, breathing as he stares down at his hands, lost within their trance.

"I feel that man...I feel it..." Goofy says understandingly, patting Donald's back in a comforting and reassuring manner.

"Alright, so what now?" Sora questions.

"Wanna get popsicles?" Riku suggests.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning comes thundering down on the hilltop beside them; causing the sky to grow purple and dreary as their dreaded foe appears, cackling maniacally as thunder and lightning reigns down behind him.

"Oh my god...Xehanort! What the FUCK are you doing here?!" Sora says vengefully.

"Keyblade!!" Xehanort shouts maniacally, pointing toward Donald Duck's crotch.

"You want...Donald's dick?" Riku asks.

"Mhm, cockblade!" Xehanort declares, very demandingly.

”No way! I already lost my testicles, there's no chance my dick's getting snatched eithe-, OWWWWWWW MY PENIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSS~!!!" Donald screams in agony, curling up into a defensive ball as Xehanort magically steals the cockblade from him.

"Keyblade!!" Xehanort exclaims victoriously, letting out another maniacal cackle of laughter.

"Damn it! How will we defeat him now??!" Sora shouts, raising his keyblade in a combative stance as everyone else besides Donald does the same.

"G-Guys...can I have a potion?" Donald says, wincing at the pain his lack of a cock creates.

"NO!!!" they all shout in unison, as a beam of pure light appears in front of them.

Everyone gasps in awe and surprise as a shadowy figure emerges from the dissipating ray of light, shooting a menacing glare towards Xehanort's direction.

"K-Keyblade?" Xehanort exclaims fearfully.

The light dissipates enough for the figure to be revealed for a brief second, and everyone's not so shocked when they see Mickey; who instantly transmissions over above Xehanort, aiming his keyblade directly at him.

"O-Oh Q-Blade..." he exclaims, fearfully.

Xehanort shrieks in pain as he's incinerated by the oncoming ray of light shooting from the tip of Mickey's keyblade, utterly decimating the vile monster, along with the landscape. Once the dust settles, Mickey teleports back and slowly walks towards Donald's shivering body, throwing his dick back into place before lifting his finger over his lips and whispering...

"Shhhhhhhh..." he beckons, walking off until he's completely out of sight.

"Oh thank god! I thought we were doomed my love~!" Donald says, crying tears of joy as he embraces his baby mama.

"Me too~! I'm glad Mickey was here to help!" Goofy says, crying tears of joy along with him as they lovingly embrace one another.

Meanwhile, Sora looks over at the two from afar. A smug expression worn wide on his face.

"Heh, look at those two. Imagine being gay, right Riku?" Sora says, as the camera reveals they've both been tenderly hugging each other this entire time, with Sora even still caressing Riku's gentle face.

"Uhh...yeah, because this screams straight right?" Riku remarks sarcastically.

"Well of course! Because we're US!! Duh..." Sora says flirtatiously.

Riku is about to object his false claims again, but then he starts to think about it further, realizing that their relationship isn't just special in the sense of platonically or romantically; no, they literally transcend the boundaries of purely being homosexuals together.

In other words: There's being gay, and then there's whatever they have going on.

Riku smiles widely upon this realization, nuzzling his face into Sora's as they hold hands delicately within one another's soothing touch.

Goofy sniffles, "I'm so glad our third boyfriend was here to save and protect us!" he comments.

"WAIT WHAAAAAAT??!!" Riku and Sora shout in unison, shocked at the plot twisty reveal.

And then suddenly everyone explodes and they all die; The End.

Oh this is DELICIOUS I've got so many questions

Is the AU a meta story or an in universe thing or a mix of both as in are the things happening meant to play out in real world kinda like roger rabbit movie or in a seperate universe?

How old exactly is mickey in this? He looks a bit younger than usualy (but it could be me seeing things)

And finally if mickey's a robot does that mean other toons are also bots and the realization is crushing on him or is he "special" iykwim

so the story is is that mickey is an experimental animatronic meet-n-greet character, the first of his kind. he lives in Toontown Disneyland and spends his existence living in his cute lil house and saying hi to all the nice people who come to visit. he has no idea he's a robot though, he fully believes he IS mickey mouse. Idk how Disney is keeping the secret from him tho lol.

So, it technically takes place in the real world! I'm still debating if I should add mickey's friends or not, as it would give him more people to talk to but it would sort of diminish his specialness. He is the world's first sentient animatronic, after all. We'll see, it's subject to change...

mickey is ageless, as he's a robot, but he's got a very innocent, child-like view of the world. poor boy has no idea what's coming lol.

oswald is really really fun bc he's sort of a second personality that glitched into mickey's brain hehehehe!! the reason why is because oswald's AI was developed as a prototype before mickey (reflecting his real history in a way hehe!!). when the scientists cracked the code on sentience, they did away with oswald but reused his base AI and exoskeleton to make mickey. yet oswald still remains, a fragment of himself buried deep in mickey's subconscious. oswald appears to mickey in his imagination, no one else can see him but our fave robo mouse!

As both a twst and kingdom hearts fan you should definitely play kh

One of the early games (2 I think) stitch can help you in battle then he shows up in like BBS and 3 too I think

Reasons to play KH:

Kingdom Hearts 1 Maleficent basically adopts Riku, who literally looks exactly the same as Silver and both share many attributes (like associations with dreams)

Kingdom Hearts 1 includes basically all the TWST great seven except replace the evil queen with like, captain hook.

Maleficent is in all the games as some type of antagonist.

The number seven is heavily featured throughout the games. Much like TWST it has a great importance. Instead of the "great seven" we have the "seven princesses of heart" which is literally just RSA.

Mickey is there. He has a canon reason for why he does not have a shirt. He also gets choke slammed.

You will cry much like TWST makes you cry for the tragic backstories.

Kingdom Hearts 2 has stitch, who is a summon that you can fight with. He also sends Sora, Donald, and Goofy to the Tron world while harassing final fantasy characters.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep has the space ship Stitch is from. The main characters teach him about friendship before the movie events. It's actually really adorable and precious.

Kindgom Hearts Dream Drop Distance is gay as hell and has so many similarities to chapter 7 I could write a whole essay.

I have written a crossover fic for the two. It is not finished and I don't know if it ever will be but its great fan service (shamelessly plug)
