[TASK 057: GREAT SIOUX NATION]
Shout out to @olivaraofrph for inspiring and helping compile this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 120+ faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. Great Sioux Nation refers to the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakoda Sioux peoples, as well as their subdivisions within those three, and their strong political structure together at the time of European contact. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.
Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags, @ mention us or send us a messaging linking us to your post!
THE TASK - scroll down for FC’s!
STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!
STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!
STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.
THINGS YOU CAN MAKE FOR THIS TASK -  examples are linked!
Stumped for ideas? Maybe make a masterlist or graphic of your favourite faceclaims. A masterlist of names. Plot ideas or screencaps from a music video preformed by an artist. Masterlist of quotes and lyrics that can be used for starters, thread titles or tags. Guides on culture and customs.
Screencaps
RP icons [of all sizes]
Gif Pack [maybe gif icons if you wish]
PNG packs
Manips
Dash Icons
Character Aesthetics
PSD’s
XCF’s
Graphic Templates - can be chara header, promo, border or background PSD’s!
FC Masterlists - underused, with resources, without resources!
FC Help - could be related, family templates, alternatives.
Written Guides.
and whatever else you can think of / make!
MASTERLIST!

FanEyes : Anaheim 1 - 2017
Months of anticipation culminated into action Saturday night as the 2017 Supercross season kicked off in Anaheim...There were a few surprises, but mostly things went as we thought they would .. The race it self was pretty straight forward .. Other than a few battles in the early laps, most everyone else was happy just hold serve during the race .. Chad Reed, who tried to force a pass on Peick, which backfired and left the 22 watching the last 6 laps .. Trey Canard, who hurt his shoulder and could not go race in the Main and Christophe Pourcel who failed to qualify for the Main event, were the 3 big name riders leaving with the most disappointment in there helmets .. One rider was just happy to walk away from A1.. Mike Alessi cased a landing very hard .. was checked over by the Astrick medics and found to have nothing broken..
Roczen was next level, his fitness, starts, riding and focus all on point .. Every thing looks to be going his way ..but we have seen this before since he has won A1 several times only to self destruct a few races later .. Something is different this year.. the suit and the look on his face at the press conference seemed to indicate maturity and a respect the journey of a champion...Time will tell if the fun loving Ken will implode or maintain this new persona....
Dungey was Dungey .. ever steady .. no big mistakes and still the rock solid rider we have seen the last few seasons.. Ryan did not get a great start, but moved into the runner up spot in just a few laps ..by that time though the gap to first was insurmountable...Still Dungey put in a nice charge.. some very fast laps but you could see he was working on himself .. Ryan knows he still has 16 rounds before this season is over..
Musquin showed more of the promise we saw all offseason.. Marvin’s sophmore season got off to a great start.. he rode solid and smart.. staying with in himself and riding to his strengths.. One of these nights MM will be found standing in the center of the box..
Anderson was riding just the way we saw him last season, charging all the way, looking a little bit on the edge.. Jason with a start will be a hard rider to pass for most this will be another great yerar for El Hombre..
Tomac did not get the finish he wanted and we expected.. despite showing improved starts and his raw speed, Eli suffered from arm pump, falling from 2nd to 5th.. Since he has never had this problem before, we must assume it was from nerves and simply trying to hard to live up to the expectations of everyone..including himself.. Eli will be a force in 2017!!
Seely had a good night..almost got by Tomac on the last lap and was only passed by one rider during the Main..I think he played it smart and just survived A1 knowing the worst thing to do is let the nerves cause you ride over your head and crash out.. Solid ride by Honda’s #2 guy..
Milsaps, who has been battling flu like symptoms and evidently broken ribs showed he still has the speed to contend...and defiantly the toughness needed to survive the long series..Davi will have better nights health wise, but with all the talent out there, 7th may be his best finish of the season..
Peick did what we expected of him.. road solid and got inside the top 10.. Weston is not a guy with great talent or outstanding speed, he gets good results with his strength and desire ..He earns every spot he gets with hard work..
Grant stayed the course .. was 11th after lap 1.. finished 9 due to Baggett and Reed going down during the race .. Josh did just what Kawasaki wanted him to do ..finish inside the top ten and stayed healthy..
Webb is probably disappointed with his 10th place finish..but it is really a blessing in disguise.. if he would have came out and won or been top 5 the pressure would be immense the rest of the year.. From here on, Cooper will able to blossum at his own pace..deal with his nerves better, learn more about how to race a 450 with the fastest guys on the planet..
Weimer did JGR a solid .. Jake was able to win his semi, which gave JGR lots of exposure and with his 11th place finish, Jake showed the promise of being a top 10 guy as a fill in rider.. JGR would be very happy to see both their riders inside the top ten ... Be interesting to see what transpires when Barcia is ready to come back and race...
Bogle, now on a Suzuki looked good in his semi and was able to move up a bit from his 18th place start in the Main ..I think he is a rider who should be well inside the top ten.. with a little more time racing the yellow machine we will see if I am correct ...
Wilson, on his privateer Yamaha, never got a great start, but battled hard all night long ..The kid is fast and has a tremendous upside .. lets hope he can stay healthy and show his talent this year ... If he can get a few top 10′s on the Blue bike .. it might keep his career alive for next signing season..
Baggett went down on the first lap and was dead last until lap 5, when he began catching and passing a few riders ...Blake’s bike may have been tweaked a bit as he just did not show the speed I expected .. coarse it is hard to show speed when your in recovery mode so he gets a pass from me ...
Brayton was 14th after lap 1 and finished 15th ... I could not tell what was up Justin.. he seemed to be battling set up or something .. He just did not show the speed we know he has ..
Tickle had a terrible start and worked his way up to 14th before starting to slide back the last 5 laps .. did not see if he had bike issues or whether he just tightened up .. Tickle will get it staighted out and be in the fight for a top ten spot..
Friese gets had one good start on the evening, in his semi, which he parlayed into the Main with a solid 5 laps .. a poor start in the Main doomed any hope for a good finish..but then again with the guys racing.. making the Main is a pretty big accomplishment !!
Albertson made the Main event through the LCQ and showed his training with Robbie Reynard has upped his game ... Jimmy is not a spring chicken any more, but give credit where it belongs ... The guy loves to race and is still making a living doing so ... Great Job Top Jimmy!!
Schmidt made 16 Mains last season and started this year off doing the same ... Nick is a long time privateer, one of the guys who makes this sport great, not due to his talent, but due to his desire and love of the sport !!
Reed got frustrated and tried to force a pass on Peick, the ensuing collision damaged his water pump and put Chad out of the race .. The veteran should have known better..but everyone makes mistakes ..
Alessi was in last after the 1st lap.. that has not been written very often ..anyway ..he had moved up a couple spots when on lap 10 he hit false neutral going off a triple ... came up way short and cased the landing .. Lucky for Mike he is uninjured and just sore ..Hope to see him back next week..
Canard got off to a horrible start in the 2017 season.. Hard crash in qualifying hurt his shoulder .. crashed while leading his semi, sending him to the LCQ, where he barley made the Main finishing 4th.. When it came time for the Main, Trey decide the pain was to much and went back to the pits before the gate drop ... Pourcel would have had the chance to race, if Canard would have made that decision a little earlier .. Don’t know how banged up he is or if he will line up next week end ...
250 class put on a good show for the fans ... While most every one was focusing on the rookie Forkner, the veterans stole the show ..Mcelrath led every lap while Plessinger put in some fast laps in tracking down and passing Chisholm and Davalos to take second ... Davalos hung on for 3rd ... ahead of Oldenberg, Hill and Jeremy Martin ...that young kid Forkner took a header early on falling back to 16th..but then he settled down and charged up to 8th by the end of the race ..
Next week the riders will show up in San Diego for round two and Military appreciation night .. Will we see more passing, closer racing .. tune in and see or show up at Petco Park and take in a “LIVE” Supercross!!

Power to the People: Testing for Real World Power at the Mopar Nationals
It all comes down to where the rubber meets the road. It might look really cool, have an awesome engine living under the hood, and sound really mean and nasty, but if it doesn’t have the dyno power numbers to back it up, it’s well, lots of talk. Now we’re not here to say that a cool car comes down to just power numbers and realize that many cars are built with different goals in mind. But it is pretty interesting to see what different combos and packages actually produce at the rear wheels.
To find this out we teamed up with the folks at Midwest Mobile Dynojet chassis dyno operated by Redline Motorsports out of Bloomington, IL, which was sponsored by Petty’s Garage.  Held at National Trail Raceway (Columbus, OH) in conjunction with the Mopar Nats in August. The Dyno Showdown allows street-driven, licensed, registered, and insured Mopars to compete for the best power numbers.
We’re also very thankful to the folks at Petty’s Garage for sponsoring the mobile dyno showdown event. Without their help this would not be possible. As well, Petty’s Garage brought out their semi-truck trailer display filled with all kinds of goodies including Petty cars and parts, which was parked adjacent to the dyno action alongside of the National Trail Raceway drag strip. Folks in attendance were able to buy all sorts of performance parts and performance packages to upgrade their Mopars to run like a king! They even had lots of cool T-Shirts there. The folks at Petty’s Garage not only offer cool parts for late-model Dodges and even Jeeps, but they also build complete cars, from late-model Hemi Challengers and Chargers to classic restorations of many domestic makes in their Level Cross, North Carolina facility.
The Dyno Showdown, takes place on Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, while The Mopar Nats drag race, car show and huge (and we mean huge) swap meet occurs over the entire weekend. And most any street-legal Mopar or AMC- vehicle that is registered, licensed, and insured is eligible to compete on the dyno for free. The horsepower classes are separated to one of four classes: Vintage Power-Adder, Vintage Naturally Aspirated, Late-Model Power-Adder, and Late-Model Naturally Aspirated. This year there was no entrant for Vintage Power-Adder. We also included an Editor’s Choice Award to round out four categories, which we provided awards for. To MC this event we had the tremendous help of former Mopar Muscle Editor and now Editor of Car Craft, Johnny Hunkins. As well, we’d like to tip our hat to radio and TV host Clarence Barnes for his great MC duties as well. Thank you.
During the course of the day we had 22 eager competitors who braved the dyno rollers. We were on schedule to have even more dyno competition, but a strong rain storm came down later in the afternoon and left everyone running for cover until after 5:00PM, ending the dyno competition a little ahead of schedule. But we’re definitely looking forward to spinning the rollers next year at The Mopar Nationals in Columbus, Ohio and we hope to see you and your Mopar there!

Amongst our winners for the Dyno Competition were:

With a Petty’s Garage prepped 440 HEMI featuring a Comp Cam with 0.645 lift, Kook’s Headers and Magnaflow exhaust system Jason walked away with a trophy.

Pro14: Munster 44-14 Edinburgh - Hosts gain on Conference A leaders Glasgow
Pro14: Munster 44-14 Edinburgh - Hosts gain on Conference A leaders Glasgow
Pro14: Munster 44-14 Edinburgh – Hosts gain on Conference A leaders Glasgow
Keith Earls scored an eight-minute hat-trick for Munster
Pro14: Munster 44-14 Edinburgh Munster: (34) 44 Tries: Farrell 2, Conway 2, Earls 3, Bleyendaal Cons: Hanrahan 2 Edinburgh: (7) 14 Tries: Van der Merwe 2 Cons: Van der Walt, Baggott
A six-try first-half blitz earned Munster a bonus-point victory against Edinburgh in a facile Pro14 contest.
Keith Earls got a hat-trick and Andrew Conway crossed twice following Chris Farrell’s early score as the Irish side led 34-7 at half-time in Cork.
Edinburgh remain without an away win this season and Duhan van der Merwe’s two tries provided scant consolation.
A low-key second-half featured a Tyler Bleyendaal score before Farrell added Munster’s eighth try at the death.
The Irish province continued their pursuit of Conference A leaders Glasgow Warriors with a fifth successive Pro14 victory and will take that momentum into their European double-header against Castres while Edinburgh must hope a return to Murrayfield will give them a boost for their Pool 5 contest against Newcastle.
Munster’s Andrew Conway evades a tackle on the way to scoring the first of his two tries
Blistering tempo
Bolstered by the return of their Irish internationals, Munster set a blistering tempo at Musgrave Park with three tries in an action-packed opening quarter.
A delayed pass by Conor Murray created a dog-leg in the Edinburgh defence in the fourth minute and the home side poured through before shifting to Farrell, who bulldozed over to score on his first start after a nine-month injury lay-off.
Conway, who scored a hat-trick in Ireland’s autumn international win against the USA, continued his scoring streak when he burst onto JJ Hanrahan’s inside pass and slalomed his way over the line.
The wing was on the scoreboard again barely four minutes later when Edinburgh lost a line-out and Munster swiftly attacked with Farrell’s back-door pass to Hanrahan creating the space for Conway to touch down in the right corner.
A shell-shocked Edinburgh finally produced a counter-punch when a delayed Juan Pablo Socino pass created an overlap that was brilliantly exploited by Van der Merwe, who weaved through some half-hearted tackles to score.
Any hopes the visitors may have harboured of a fight-back were snuffed out by a stunning eight-minute hat-trick by Earls.
The Ireland wing slid over in the corner after Munster had mauled to within inches of the line and then finished off an electrifying attack by Farrell and Mike Haley before adding his third just before the interval when Haley’s initial break sucked in the Edinburgh defence.
Edinburgh debutant Senitiki Nayalo attempts to stop Chris Farrell from scoreing
Edinburgh’s evening of frustration
Munster’s intensity noticeably waned during the second half as they allowed Edinburgh to dominate possession.
The visitors produced some good passages of play but found it difficult to break the Munster defence with Rory Sutherland knocking on after 12 hard-fought phases an example of their frustrating evening.
Farrell was perhaps fortunate to avoid a sin-binning for a late hit before another burst by Earls revived the home side’s attack and forced a five-metre scrum that allowed half-time substitute Bleyendaal to barge over.
Van der Merwe responded with his second try when Edinburgh – playing with a penalty advantage – quickly shifted the ball left and the wing showed good footwork to evade the covering defence and tiptoe down the touchline to score.
But it was fitting that Munster and man-of-the-match Farrell had the final say as the centre demonstrated his power by simply running through Socino and racing clear to score in front of the watching Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt.
‘Plenty to work on’
Edinburgh captain Luke Hamilton on BBC Radio Scotland: “Second-half, we did a better job but the game was long gone by then. There is plenty to work on. When we get 81% second-half possession, we need to be coming away with points. We can’t be coughing up easy ball in the 22 for them to exit.
“A few positives we can take. Some of the boys on their first game – George Taylor was outstanding – getting good game time which will hold the club in good stead. But tonight we were a long way off.”
Munster: M Haley; A Conway, C Farrell, R Scannell, K Earls; JJ Hanrahan, C Murray; D Kilcoyne, N Scannell, J Ryan, T Beirne, B Holland, P O’Mahony (capt), C Cloete, A Botha.
Replacements: K O’Byrne, J Loughman, C Parker, F Wycherley, G Coombes, D Williams, T Bleyendaal, S Arnold.
Edinburgh: D Fife; T Brown, G Taylor, JP Socino, D van der Merwe; J van der Walt, N Fowles; R Sutherland, D Cherry, M McCallum, J Hodgson, C Hunter-Hill, A Miller, L Wynne, L Hamilton (capt).
Replacements: R Ford, D Marfo, P Ceccarelli, C Atkinson, S Nayalo, S Kennedy, J Baggott, C Dean.

Hellcats & Scat Packs Shoot It Out In Las Vegas!
Our favorite modern Hemi street cars invade Las Vegas to go heads up drag racing!
We are without a doubt at the pinnacle of factory performance. With the debut of the 800-plus hp Dodge Demon, the Hellcat with its 707 hp and the Scat Pack with “just” 485 hp are players in the back-up band—but what a hell of a back-up band it is. Kind of like saying Eddie and Alex Van Halen are David Lee Roth’s roadies. Putting things into perspective, the “lowly” Scat Pack 392 can click off solid 12s just as easily as going to the grocery store for ice cream. Not even the vaunted ’66-71 Street Hemi could do that in bone-stock trim back in the day. Hellcats are even quicker, cranking out 11s with stock tires at altitude and high 10s with slicks. Put the street tires back on and hit the highway with 22 mpg. Three years after the first Hellcat, we now see them regularly in the 9s with nothing but simple bolt-ons, but even that pales in comparison to the new Demon.
Dodge for their part say go right ahead and race them—we’ll cover you on the factory warranty. Who are we to argue with them? The Dodge faithful have opted into the revolution, gobbling up Scat Packs and Hellcats by the thousands. Moreover, they have actively sought out opportunities to race against the cross-town rivals at Chevy and Ford. With Chevy cranking up the heat with the Camaro ZL1 and Ford following up the rear with the Shelby GT350, it’s not uncommon to see battles break out on the street and at the track. The Dodges—especially the Hellcat—have no problem breaking hearts and taking money, so to keep things interesting, we wanted to see which guys and gals have the fastest Hellcats and Scat Packs in the land.
To do that, Mopar Muscle teamed up with Phil Painter, who puts on a shindig in Las Vegas called MATS—which most people word-associate with “Mopars At The Strip.” We created two classes: The Scat Pack Challenge and the Hellcat Shootout. Both classes run heads-up, and require the cars to be registered, licensed, insured, and driven on the street. Beyond that, any mods are allowed.
Last year at our first Vegas race, Al Jiminez won the Hellcat Shootout with a 10.96/128.8 [click here: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/srt-hellcats-invade-vegas-for-drag-showdown/] while David Boyer’s Charger cleaned up in the Scat Pack class with a 12.04/117.3 [click here: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/scat-pack-dodges-hit-vegas-and-run-11s/]. That went so well, we did it again in St. Louis for the Monster Muscle Weekend in St. Louis [click here: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/hellcats-scat-pack-392s-hit-st-louis-drag-showdown/], where Catie Schmidt took the Hellcat crown with a 10.84/126.7 and Mike Muenz took Scat Pack honors with a 12.08/114.2.
This year at Las Vegas on April 22, 2017, we continued our quest for the fastest Hellcats and Scat Packs, and once again saw strong performances. Early on, we spotted Scott Herring, Walter Escobar, and Donald Halm as top contenders in the Hellcat camp. With some serious mid-10-second timeslips, any one of them could’ve emerged victorious. And since you’re wrongly thinking it, don’t assume that 10s are slow for Las Vegas, because the altitude density, temperature, headwind, and ambient dust level is typically very high, slowing cars significantly. At the end of the day, Walter Escobar proved his mettle with a final-round performance of 10.74/132.2 to Mark Aletto’s slowing 13.38/113.6.
In the Scat Pack Challenge, Jesse Rose was the stand out all day as his Magnacharger-blown 2016 Challenger was deep in the 11s. With a trap speed of over 130 mph, Rose was clearly suffering from a loss of traction that otherwise would’ve put him in league with the Hellcats. While not as fast as Tim Hayes’s Kenne-Bell blown Scat Pack Challenger that we saw in St. Louis (10.50/131), keep in mind the far less favorable track and atmospheric conditions in Las Vegas. We think these two cars would make an awesome Scat Pack pairing if we could ever get the two together. Which brings up another point: we’ve not yet seen the East Coast guys or the West Coast guys make the journey to the opposite coast for either Hellcat or Scat Pack competition. It would be nice to see that change—especially for the West Coast guys who have a harder time hooking in the high desert. Next stop for the Hellcat Shootout and Scat Pack Challenge: the St. Louis Monster Musclecar Weekend!
