“I can’t lose her again” and “I feel like I lost you or something” could have have the same meaning, nevertheless… the atmosphere and the context are different.

“I can’t lose her again” is dropped when El might be risking her life, but the lives of the people in Hawkins are in danger too. Mike’s behavior was selfish and later on he admitted it to El.

On the other hand, “I feel like i lost you or something” is delivered after six months of being apart of his best friend and immediately after recognizing that he was probably worrying too much about El. It can be interpreted as “I miss you and I feel guilty for pushing you away”.

Besides, one is delivered in front of a bunch of people and the other is delivered privately, Mike made sure of this last thing by closing Will’s door.

Which is more endgame? I don’t know, it’s up to you.

I love how everyone is "Will is in love with Mike" and "Will is having gay thoughts about Mike" when Mike is the one taking everything Will say in a gay way, like, when Will asked what they're are he immediately goes defensive like "we're friends, we're friends" when Will was talking about they used to be best friends, nothing gay about it, he was going to hug his best friend, Mike was the one "hey bro, let's hug in a no gay way" even if he hugs everyone else normally, no one can convince me that Mike wasn't gayer the hole season.

I’ll always find funny how Will is the one confirmed in love, but Mike is the one who acts more in love, like this boy is down horrendous. 

He is the one who shout “I’m the only one who cares about Will”, he broke the rules and insisted to look for him, he never gave up in finding him, even when he saw the fake body, listening to him sing “that weird song that he loves” convinced him that he was alive. 

Then he was always checking on him when Will had his visions, he knew that something was wrong when he was quieter than usual. He put an arm around him when Will wasn’t feeling okay. He said “I’m gonna get you home” and take him to his basement. He reassured him, holding his hand btw, that they won’t let the mindflayer spy back. 

He said cheesy things like “Crazy together.” “It was the best thing i’ve ever done.” “I feel like I lost you.” “It’s Hawkins. It’s not the same without you.” 

Mike cherishes his art so much that he hangs his drawings in his basement and bedroom, and he also has a binder full of them. And the day he thought he had lost him, he caressed one of his drawings. And when Will gave him the painting, he put the biggest smile on his face and said it was amazing. 

He ran to apologize in the pouring rain when he hurt him. Every time Mike notices the pain in Will’s face, his heart aches too, you can see it in his face. 

And don’t let me start that he has a special voice for him, that it’s so soft, but not only he is tender with his voice, also with his eyes.
