Billy - either a black fluffy cat (#435 Persian) or a black dog (#92 is technically a Doberman but it’s a German Shepard model!)

Marcus - So LPS doesn’t have many bug/leech/slug options so I made Marcus a snail!! Except he wouldn’t be as slow-

Kevin D. - Penguin #389! The yellow belly is his vest!! And he looks like he’s wearing a helmet 🗣️‼️‼️

Leon - Collie #2452! Specifically cause of those brown ears and chest, mainly cause I envision him browning over time, like his hair in canon!

Ada - Shorthair cat #336! So cute, so sleek, so pretty!

Claire - Wolf(cat) #1953! I think she’d be more of a red tone, but the model reminds me of her sm

Sherry - Kitten #134! SHE’S JUST A BABY!!!

William B - Shorthair #73! Once again, the tired eyes convinced me.

Annette B - Persian #217! I was originally gonna make her a shorthair, but she just screams longhair cat to me!

Marvin - Scottie #23! I chose a Scottie cause Scottie dogs are known to be feisty, stubborn, but protective! Also he gets cool accessories cause Marvin’s the coolest here 😎

Elliot - He’d be this specific model of deer (reindeer?)! I couldn’t get the idea of him being a deer out of my head the moment I realized he looked like a deer in the headlights (BLINK ELLIOT BLINK!!!), but I wasn’t vibing with any of the regular deer and thats when I discovered these models! Also I couldn’t find the specific number because ofc I couldn’t 💀

Katherine - Maltese #79! At least I think its 79, this dog and another spaniel come up with the #79??? Anyways, she’d be this cutie!

Ben - So he’d either be a regular hedgehog…or this silly one with hair. Get it? Cause of his ponytail?

Kendo - Husky #174! He is so husky to me…

Emma - Puppy #1013! And her mama would be husky #1012 💖

Carlos - Sheepdog #1077! Too perfect! And YES, he needs the flower in his hair!!!!! I have this one 🤭

Tyrell - Jaguar #1419! Honestly, it’s another case of this specific LPS just reminds me of him! Plus, I was thinking of how there’s so many videos of jaguars lounging followed by them being expert hunters and Tyrell is a relaxed guy, but is obviously greatly skilled!

Nikolai - He was so hard to find an lps for. Looking through the different models and designs, but I landed on cat #9 (the hair sorta matches his) or Dane #184 (cause Nikolai’s second name is “The White Wolf” And I wasn’t too pleased with assigning him a cat)

Mikhail - Mikhail was also hard to choose for. Maybe a German Shepard or a Boxer?? But ofc white/grey

Hello and welcome once again to the Resident Evil Rarepair Month event!

This event is a month long, spanning the entirety of the month of May 2025, and will be devoted to any and all forms of content celebrating the Rarepair ships of Resident Evil!

Content can include but not limited to fanfiction, fanart, moodboards, edits, music videos and playlists.

Random headcanons about RE: Nikolai, Mikhail and, Sergei. With their s/o.

Sergei

-you are the first person to not ask about his eye. To say he was shocked when you never asked is an understatement. After you two where three months into the relationship he told you what happened and asked why you never said anything about it. Your reply is what made him fall even more in love with you. "I didn't want to upset you. Or bring up anything that would make you uncomfortable." No One had ever worried about his comfort or upsetting him, unless they had seen or been warned of his temper.

Mikhail

-you are the first person to agree to cuddle him.(I headcanon Mikhail as being very into cuddles. From cuddles as being seen as something not manly or out of character for a soldier.)

-Mikhail never mentioned cuddles or hugged you for longer than a minute or so. He was worried you'd say what others had said to him, "no! Shouldn't you be working out?" Or "you're the one who wanted to be a soldier! It's your fault you're so stressed!" But you never said that to him. One day when he came home from dealing with unruly members of U.B.C.S all he wanted was to cuddle you to relieve the stress. When he walked into the bedroom you could see that he wanted something. After he changed into his pajamas you decided to ask, and after you telling him that you'd never judge him he finally said it. "Kroshka, can we cuddle?" You immediately said yes. For the rest of the night you both cuddled, you laying on your back as his head layed on your chest and playing with his hair. (I love this man. He deserves so much love.)

Nikolai

-You were the first person to ever show him kindness. When you first met Nikolai he was badly wounded; a bullet wound to the shoulder. You both were able to get away minutes before Raccoon City was nuked. After that you both closer and closer until he asked you to be his girlfriend. Of course you said yes! Before meeting you Nikolai had never been told thank you for anything.(I also love this man)

I think Mikhail Viktor disobeyed orders to save civilians. And his original orders were to save Dr. Bard.

I've only ever played REmake 3, so I don't know if this was ever mentioned in the OG. And yes, there might be some filling in gaps we don't ever get to know as players, but hear me out.

Now, I didn't question Mikhail at all initially because neither does Carlos or Tyrell.

But then Death Island came out.

In that movie, we see flashbacks of other U.B.C.S. members, another faction that was presumably just like Mihkail's. Their leader specified that their orders were to ignore civilians. Their targets for rescue were Umbrella employees, no one else. With this, we also see blockades actively keeping civilians within the city, physically pushing against the masses to keep them inside the borders.

Yes, it's very possible that Mikhail got actual orders to save civilians, but if that were the case, why does he use a run down, dead train as his shelter and escape plan? We know that U.B.C.S. has access to military trucks, and it's safe to assume they have helicopters as well due to the ending. We can also assume the normal military is working together with U.B.C.S., so that can also explain the helicopter. Where are the rescue cars? The rescue shelters? Why not try to bring them to the borders of the city, that the movie showed, has military presence?

Because he disobeyed orders.

He didn't tell his squad, because then the fault would go to him and him alone. Carlos and the rest have plausible deniability.

Now, if he has disobeyed orders, then it's safe to say he's either cut his radio off of the rest of U.B.C.S.'s frequencies or is continuing to listen, but considering he doesn't seem to be supplying his team with movements of anything (zombies, other teams, etc), then he's probably tuned out. Which leads to my second point.

Their original orders were to rescue Dr. Bard.

Mikhail knew exactly where he was suppose to be holed up, and only tells his team these "new orders" AFTER the train is back online and primed to go. His priority to get a system going to rescue civilians is working and on its feet. And while the train is gone, what is his team going to do?

Send them to do the original order. This keeps them moving, because stopping to ponder the horrors wouldn't be a good idea. They saved civilians, morale is up, so keep that momentum. Keep the team focused, keep them having a goal to work toward. Once the train is back, ideally Dr. Bard is got and with his safety Mikhail can try to barter for leniency, even more so saving his clueless team because "they still went and did what what higher ups wanted." Besides, normally teams are given new orders once the old ones are complete. It keeps up the ruse.

We know Mikhail watches and makes his own opinions. He sent Nicholai off with the civilians because he didn't trust him. I can definitely see him hearing a dumbass order of "ignore civilians, they don't matter" and responding back with "you're wrong." He died to get those civilians out, after all. To give them a shot at escaping.

I love mikhail just as much as the next guy AND I adore vampire and "scientist"'s dynamic so much. I NEEEeeD to know how they come to be. I especially love how the scientist can talk back to the vampire despite being the lady's servant

i love how you said the part about mikhail as if there are fans of him, lol. thank you for this ask though because i’ve been meaning to sit down and structure my thoughts about their relationship for a while now (assuming that’s what you’re asking about; if you’re wondering about how i came up with the characters in the first place, i’ve been pretty open about them being knock-offs).

to start off, the doctor (viktor) was heavily based on daniil dankovsky and his research of death, but aside from that, as a character he is also inspired by victor frankenstein and viktor from arcane (hence the name), and their united strife to overcome the shortcoming of humanity and reach beyond what is possible. so before becoming the vampire's (olga) lifelong companion, he (late 30s at the time) was similarly overtaken by a desire to study the nature of human life; specifically ways of prolonging it. his research eventually led him to study and be fascinated by vampirism as a phenomenon (much like his other inspiration, edgar swansea from vampyr), which in turn resulted in him becoming a subject of interest not only for the witch-hunting order (inquisition, basically) but also for olga, who is a powerful vampire. she saw great potential in his research and believed it could benefit greatly from her own knowledge of the undeath, so she approached him with an offer of patronage and protection from the order (like how dracula offers the same to frankenstein in the movie van helsing). viktor readily agreed so olga set him up with a lab in the basement of her hidden residence.

viktor is a very direct person; he doesn’t take kindly to being ordered around and talks to people like they are his equals, regardless of whether they have power over him or not. he was obviously very grateful for olga’s patronage but he immediately made it very clear that he considers their arrangement a partnership rather than ownership, and this audacity was precisely the reason olga liked him so much. being a vampire lord, she was used to people and supernatural beings alike groveling at her feet; it was useful to be feared, but it was also incredibly boring. having viktor around not only satisfied her scientific curiosity but also her longing for companionship. 

she grew very attached to him (and him to her) in the time that they spent living together, which is why seeing him age with time disturbed her greatly. eventually she offered for him to be turned, but despite his interest in the undeath, viktor refused. instead he proposed for him to feed on her blood in order to become her ghoul (like in vtm). this action inextricably linked them together and made them dependent on each other; according to vampire traditions it also "officially" made viktor olga’s “servant”, but after a decade of being partners neither of them pay heed to the implied power imbalance. hence why they joke around about it.

i think the most baffling creative decision about arcane s2 (and s1 to a lesser extent) was making Sky a central component in victor's character arc but like not actually developing their relationship umm. at all. like they knew each other as children and she was his lab assistant who died, i dont think they ever had ONE friendly conversation on screen?
