i can't stress it enough how crazy the love triangle situation is. mizu and akemi have a slow motion romcom first glance at each other. mizu and taigen are enemies to lovers. mizu taunts akemi about taigen while wearing his scarf. mizu imagines taigen while seeing a threesome. mizu and akemi have sex scenes juxtaposed with each other. taigen and mizu's brawl is an obvious parallel to mizu and mikio. "this isn't over" "i know". both could happen. neither could happen. all could happen all at once. and i'm watching it all like this

General Mizu headcanons -Mizu x fem!reader -sfw and nsfw headcanons + my thoughts :], kinda long? but aye, more content -pls, reminder these are my takes, and I would love to hear your in the comments <3
-comments and reblogs are appreciated <3
Tumblr media
Sfw:
took her awhile to open up fully to you. Like about everything- probably hide her fav food from you too
speaking of food, she probably is a terrible cook and would love if you can cook for her
I can imagine Mizu burning a pot of water
I tried to do my research and look into this, but I think Mizu is about 5'4
if you're shorter than her, she'll definitely have a confidence boost and feel she has to protect you always- she already does but...you're short and tiny...so she must
If you're taller, she's putty in your hands when you two are alone but she will still kick someone's ass for you
If you're not trained in the martial arts or any good with swords, she'll teach you
If Mizu is teaching you before you two are official, she'll be rougher and stricter with her teaching. She wants you to be the best and have a good chance to learn to protect yourself
Now if she is teaching you after you two are dating, she'll still be strict but definitely a bit more gentle
"Do it again...You almost had it, try again I know you can do this"
Nicknames for you? I feel she would mostly call you by your name, but she would also call you "my pearl" or "my dove"
Pls play with her hair plsplsplsplsplsplspls
She's a sucker for a massage due to her battles and training but only from you
but!!!!!
The first time you saw her without her male persona/ identity sent her in panic mode. You knew her as this strong, tough masculine man...but here you are, happening to stumble upon her wearing nothing and seeing her...lady parts
She already started to develop feelings for you by that time and so have you, but at the knowledge you think she's a boy. Gay stuff is already a 'no-no' to a lot of people, so would it be a 'no-no" for you??
of course not- doesn't matter if they're male or female, it's still Mizu at the end of the day
once you accept her, she truly feels seen for once
This woman will and always lay down her life for you.
She'd probably die then come back to life for you cause she loves you that much
I do feel she would be distant in the beginning. We all know how her last marriage went...She doesn't want to be hurt again
Once you show her you're in for the long run, she'll become lovable and clingy
LET HER BE FEMININE PLS PLS
She barely got to explore her feminine side with Mikio (rat bastard) cause of what happened
Dress her up and make her feel pretty <3
I have a feelign she can be really childish when comfortable with you- play wrestle with her to burn off some energy
She will want to duel with you, but never lets it go too far
If she ever pulls that same shit she did with Mikio, and she has the sword to your throat...I feel she will get flashbacks and get nervous how you'll react
but is soon pulled out of those memories when you laugh and say she wins and you kiss her <3
Nsfw
now the yummy part lol
IDC SHE'S A SWITCH
no one will change my mind, no one could ever think of changing my mind
In the Edo period of Japan, sex toys were there to use and have fun. Now, I actually looked it up and ruined my web history for this because of the shunga I saw
STRAP ON- either Mizu using it on you or you using it on her, either way it's a good time
She definitely can and will be rough and dominate. She's used to be taking control to getting what she wants
Doesn't mean she can't be soft and sensual, you are her love after all, and sex is something for both to enjoy. She would love to just be soft with you
She will spank that ass, idc
Now, like I said, I actually looked a lot of this stuff up...
Double sided dildo for the both of you to use. For her, it's almost embarrassing cause you are seeing her reactions but she also LOVES this since it's so intimate to her, so hold her hand while you two do it
Going off the last one, I feel she would be trying to cover her face or her mouth sometimes...don't let her
With that one episode, we know she's loud and her eyes roll back...it's canon...so hit her with that dumb dick and make her roll her eyes back
Tie her up...that's all
Her fingers are long and slender, good for fingering your cunt and rubbing your clit
Loves having you in her lap and fingering you late at night, especially if there are other people around. Gives her the chance to cover your mouth and whisper in your ear to tease you
"You like that?...You like the fact anyone could catch us right now, and they'd see my fingers fucking this pussy..?”
Dw you'll give her the same treatment
When you finger her, she's whiny, holding onto your other hand tightly
Praise her breast- whether you have bigger breast or not, still show love to her peaches
Kiss them, suck on them, whatever..love on them
I don't think she would ever consider sharing you with another person like ever
I can imagine her talking a big game, but your first time? She’s a wreck, she wants everything to be perfect
Yeah technically she's not a virgin but she doesn't want to mess anything up with you
Favorite position? I think she likes taking you in missionary but likes to be bent over when she subbing
After you give her sum backshots, pls give her the softest aftercare
She will be clingy after, so let her cling to you like a koala
In the end, Mizu is the best girlfriend boyfriend ever <3

hating taizu just bc they would be "hetero" couple is really weird.... it also ironically neglects mizu's inherent queerness. she presents like a man despite being born a woman. and after her experience with mikio there is little we know about her relationship with her gender. isn't it a little laughable to discredit that aspect of her identity?
i understand hating taigen himself as well. he's a flawed person, but it discredits his character to say he would hate her once he finds out she's not a biological man. or at the very least it discredits his relationship with mizu as a whole--maybe he would be taken back when he knows. but the difference between him and mikio is that taigen genuinely admires mizu's abilities with the sword. they connect with one another on a level that literally has bordered life and death.
taigen doesn't entirely understand himself, and his seeking out his honor reveals bits and pieces to himself. like that he doesn't actually want to be great, just happy. that he is attracted to mizu in a different way than he expected. he has grown a softer with these experiences, as is evident with his softness towards mizu. he cares about her as an individual.
it's immature to call the ship baseless or stupid. i don't personally care whether or not it turns out to be romantic, or if their relationship lasts at all; i just have a bone to pick with the people that simply assumed mizu was sapphic and resent that her narrative is different than what they imagined.
it's also inaccurate to say that mizu doesn't need anyone. it defeats her entire storyline.
what blue eye samurai does well is restore the characters' integeity; in a way, it criticizes the all-consuming nature of ambition. at least, ambition that is fueled by apathy or hate.
mizu's story is about reclaiming identity, softness, and humanity. in a path where she has been dehumanized by everyone, including both akemi and taigen, mizu is being told to hold intimacy, integrity, and love sacred by swordfather and ringo. they admire and love her in ways that are essential to her well-being. that are essential to her growth.
she needs them. she is foolish to think otherwise, she realizes, time and time again, particularly when mizu is reunited with swordfather near the end of s1.
anyway it's almost 12 am and i don't remember where i was going with this

Mizu, Akemi, Brothels & Bedrooms
Tumblr media
Mizu and Akemi's approach to sex (so far) has been very inverse. For Mizu, sex is intimate, almost sacred to the point of inaccessibility. Her pretending to be a man has compelled her far from intimacy in order to protect herself and her secret. On the rare occasion when she does engage in physical relations during her shortlived marriage, she engages in it furtively. She's shy, sweet and submissive. She has very little to no experience and while she enjoys it, she doesn't appear to demand to be in a position of authority while it ensues. She's happy to let go of the reins and allow herself to put in a safe space. Her voice pitches and she doesn't fight to maintain any composure.
Tumblr media
Mizu isn't exactly averse to sex. After losing mama and killing Mikio, Mizu just closed herself to the possibility of intimacy. She doesn't intend to romantically engage with anyone or be as intimate with anyone as revenge has become her priority. She now dismisses sex, considering it an act that is void of art or tact. Base. Something that decentres the spirit. Dare I say, she sees it as a facade after Mikio. An act that misguides the participants to consider their bond deeper than it really is. It is parallel to Akemi's first time, where both her and Taigen seem to be proccupied with other concerns, quickly distancing from each other after an act that most would consider to be a paramount of bonding between lovers.
Tumblr media
Regardless, Mizu's resolutions haven't killed her intrigue for "peculiarities" as evident in her stint at Madam Kaji's where she (despite her dismissive facade) peers into the windows of pleasure, exploring sutras, bondage and threesomes. With the masculine avatar she's donned on her path of revenge, even if Mizu's resolve grows shaky, she's restricted by the complications that should arise if she goes down the path of any intimacy. Giving her more walls to break through and more walls for any potential lovers to break through as well to get to her tender breast.
Tumblr media
In terms of general pleasure, Mizu is shown to be extemely physical and playful. She gets riled over armed combat, her face flush and full of love. To whoever she feels safe and happy with, she gives her all. Whether in bed or otherwise, she'll surrender her body and her sword. Aside from fighting, Mizu is passionate about different forms of art, especially sword making and other creative arts like music. You can call her... cutely nerdy (?) in the sense of her keen understanding of iron work, different fighting techniques, blade strikes, all of which she knows by heart. It can be imagined that a sure way to catch her whims would be to spark conversations about artistry in general.
Tumblr media
Akemi, on the other hand, intends all her sexual overtures to have a fixed purpose. She's written as a character who prepares intensely for her ambitions. We see her revising a written speech before arguing her bit to her father, switching to appeasing to his fatherly side by playing the "naive daughter" to get him to agree with her and Taigen's engagement. In ep 4 we see her curating an impish, adulant image of an innocuous sex worker before making Mizu's acquaintance, intending to lower her guard enough to subdue her and bring her to Taigen. She finally goes on imbibe the perfect subservient, loving wife to finesse Takayoshi and thereby solidify her say among other exponents in the Shogun's family.
Tumblr media
Her mind is like a self gearing machine in terms of playing pieces to give herself a fighting chance. Sex is a part of this rematch. With sex as a means, it's arguable if she genuinely feels pleasure in the process but she ensures that she's able to pleasure her partners to an end that serves her. With men, it's always about massaging their ego. With Taigen, Akemi initiates sex to be able to coax him into focusing on her and saving their engagement instead of letting him fixate on his recent loss of his hair and honour. In the brothel, she regales Watari, a man who's never won a fair fight, and has become impotent due to his weight, by appealing to his poetic side and using it to flatter him to ejaculation. With Takayoshi, a man subdued by his mother for his stutter and meek ways, Akemi admits to finding his speech impediment endearing, apologising profusely to resume her submissive position as his wife and proceeds to consummate their marriage while encouraging him to recite poetry.
Tumblr media
Like Mizu, Akemi's curious about sex in itself and went against her teacher's wishes to explore erotic literature. She's well versed with sexually coloured poetry and easily weaves sex into conversation, using it to talk her partners to orgasm. She has a varied understanding of poetry, an art she uses as a weapon to flatter men, citing Shōtetsu, Minamoto no Shigeyuki and her favorite, Ono no Komachi. A waka poetess writing chiefly in matters of melancholy and passionate love. She's also skilled in all manner of art that are intrinsically ornate but are notorious for being feminine or are used to entertain men such as poetry, koto playing, dancing and calligraphy. An average man would deem such arts lowly but he doesn't consider that such arts can be used to easily lower his guard to his very vanquish without him ever doubting that there was even a ploy in the first place. Akemi wields these talents to her advantage. Sex and fine arts are only a few of the weapons in her arsenal.
Tumblr media
Strangely enough, it's not exactly touched upon what Akemi actually finds desirable outside of what she must do to get her way. It can be guessed that she'd be disarmed by anyone who lasers through her simpering girly act, someone who can be valiant and honourable, someone who doesn't weigh virtue and strength through the prejudice of gender, someone who's able to value her in all her intricacies instead of pushing her to be a proper wife or improper whore.
Likewise, I can imagine Mizu wanting the same degree of acceptance. Someone who nurtures her feminine side without alienating her masculinity. Someone who doesn't demonise her appearance or consider her an anomalous product of two races. Her ideal type hasn't been detailed but her bar was really low. She didn't care about Mikio's age or social status or wealth. Akemi was also shown to having a narrow criteria for marriage, preferring Taigen solely because marrying him meant staying in Kyoto, near home. For both Taigen and Mikio, they benefitted from the unhinged cruelty other men could afford, appearing decent by comparison because they did the bare minimum of asking for consent.
Tumblr media
It is still very nascent as to what Akemi and Mizu truly desire. Mainly because there hasn't been much room for individual desires. Akemi was already "past her prime" and evading marriage was no option as it was a decision sealed in stone by a girl's father the moment she hit puberty. For a time where women had little say in who they married, managing to get engaged to Taigen was a feat in itself. Her attempts to escape the arranged marriage with the Shogun's son was rendered fruitless by Taigen, Seki and in great part, Mizu. Akemi finally embraced her new married life, making peace with fighting within her means instead of trying to run away from them. This leaves a lot of room for what she'd eventually want for herself in the future. We know a part of her wished to leave with/without Taigen to live on a farm in Kokura but she's still too early in her journey of knowing exactly what she wants but she's constantly figuring things out.
Tumblr media
Similarly, Mizu didn't have a say in her former marriage either but she was ready for the obligations it would impose on her, aware that she'd be compelled to conceal a part of her that men wouldn't welcome in their wives. Her masculine side that is capable of fighting like a samurai. Her sword of a soul. With her sworn revenge, aversion to all forms of intimacy and commitment to playing the part of a man, Mizu has become a vessel for all the ill will, prejudice and poor decisions men imposed on her. She doesn't have the liberty to bare herself and engage in fulfilling her desire as she's discovered to like it but the more characters she interacts with, we as audiences can observe seismic shifts in her perception of herself through the people she meets. These experiences serve as guiding lines for developing future desire. Of independent choice.

Yandere Arata’s first meeting with Y/N?
Ty for requesting for an OC! Also no need to put yandere, all my OCs are yanderes 😼
Whenever I make a OCs x reader book, I always like to write Arata and Y/N meeting like this.(Mikio and kuroko are in this so basically a reverse harem. Straightforward writing.)
(I think I used the word ‘it’ too much)
WARNING — GORE, BUT IT IS NOT DETAILED
—When you first encountered Arata, it was actually in his cat form. He was just in an alleyway, staring blankly with his golden eyes. It had given you a little fright at first because it was so dark.
—Once you realized it was only a cat, you calmed down. Despite the lack of light in the alleyway, you could see the peculiar color of his fur — a deep blue you don’t recall ever seeing any breed of cats with.
—You tried to approach him, but he scurried off without a sound. It was quite impressive how he jumped from balcony to balcony with ease. He was already at the rooftop in mere seconds.
—So, you made it your mission to catch this swift cat. Mikio and Kuroko didn’t quite like the idea but in the end, they opted to simply make sure the creature didn’t hurt you. But really, they could catch the animal with ease.
Tumblr media
—It was tedious but proved to be easier than you thought it would be.
—The cat would be there everyday, silently sitting with its blank eyes. You’d bring food that it would never eat, toys that it would never play with, milk that it would never drink —anything to lure it out. It would never come towards you, but you noticed that with each attempt, the distance it would let you pass before running off shortened.
—Until one day, it let you calmly pick it up in your arms with no complaints.
Tumblr media
—Now let’s just say you lived separately from Mikio and Kuroko for now and had a female roommate.
—So you bring the cat home and she suggests the name ‘Arata’.
—So now that was officially his name!
—Mikio made sure to clip its nails and ensure it had no diseases or complications. (Also found out it was a boy😼)
—On the first day, it was normal — other than the fact Arata would constantly cling to you. Even as you were leaving, he would try and follow you through the door. Your roommate would complain that he had no interest to anything outside of you, even when she tried to entertain him with cat toys.
—On the second day, you left. Your roommate then brought Arata into the bathroom so she could shower and ensure he wouldn’t cause any trouble at the same time.
—But to her confusion, the door was open as soon as she finished bathing. It made her a slight bit wary, but it must’ve been because Arata learned how to open doors already. (trust me they can learn how to do that sht, my old cat did)
—She got dressed and went to the kitchen only to see a grown man in the living room, his back turned to her. The worst part is that he was completely naked.
—He didn’t seem to notice her, so she reached for a knife on the kitchen counter and creeps up behind him. Then wobbly, she stabs his side.
—No screams or yells were made, not even a hint of reaction. All he did was turn around.
(I don’t know how to color blood😔)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
—that’s literally all he fucking asked.
—Yea this man literally calls you ‘master’.
—Probably because you basically adopted him.
—When you arrived back, your roommate was sitting outside, scared out of her mind. Just before she could shakily explain what happened, Arata opens the door, still butt naked and it’s just like ??
—you’re wondering who tf this is until you see his ears and tail.
—at this point it’s up to your imagination for how you react.

I Wish I Could Tell You How I Fell
Tumblr media
Fandom : Boruto
Relationship : Boruto x Sarada
My BoruSara Week 2025 contribution for the Free Day.
I’m sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you like it.
Summary : Boruto arrived in front of a small chalet lost a few miles from Konoha. It was far enough from the village that no one, not even Kawaki, noticed his presence. It was the ideal place to see Sarada without anyone knowing.
Disclaimer : Boruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto.
AO3 / FF.NET
Boruto arrived in front of a small chalet lost a few miles from Konoha. It was far enough from the village that no one, not even Kawaki, noticed his presence. It was a chalet that he and Sarada had found by chance when they were returning from a mission when he was still part of Team 7. When everything was normal, when he was still Boruto Uzumaki. It was a place only knew by them. Even Mitsuki and Konohamaru were unaware of its existence. It was the ideal place to see Sarada without anyone knowing. It was a chalet that had been abandoned for years. One of the windows had broken because of the weather, the door stuck easily and the roof was not in good condition.
Boruto put his hand on the door handle and opened it with a creak. Luckily that there was no one around, he thought. He went inside and saw Sarada lying on the worn couch that was near the fireplace. She was wrapped in a blanket that she had brought a few days ago. He approached her and crouched down. She was asleep. She looked so peaceful. He had noticed that it was something that rarely happened to her.
She was one of the few people who remembered Boruto Uzumaki. Even if she never spoke to him about it, he knew that things were difficult for her. The villagers only saw her as the daughter of a traitor and that she was defending another traitor who had killed the Hokage.
During the time he had spent with Sasuke, he had told him about his past, even if Boruto knew that there were certain things that he had kept to himself. He understood him better. But unfortunately, Sarada was paying the price for it. Boruto blamed himself. Because of him, she had to face all of this alone.
He raised his hand to brush away a strand of her hair that was falling on her face when Sarada moved slightly and opened her eyes slowly. He quickly took his hand away.
“Boruto ? Have you been here for a long time ?”
She sat up, rubbing her eyes.
“I just got here. We can meet another day if you want.”
Sarada woke up instantly.
“No !” She replied hastily. “I’m awake.”
Boruto restrained himself from smiling. He did not want to leave either. His fleeting encounters with Sarada were important to him. Much more than she could imagine. With her, he felt like he was the Boruto from before. He stood up and sat down next to Sarada. She offered him half of her blanket. He was not cold, but he accepted. They talked for a few minutes when he saw that Sarada had her eyes half-closed and she was fighting not to fall asleep.
“Go back to sleep,” he said. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Despite all this time apart, he knew her by heart. With a glance, he could read her. She did not want to be away from him and he did not want to either. Sarada closed her eyes and fell asleep right back. He put his arm around her shoulders and hugged her. She instinctively snuggled into his arms.
“I wish I could tell you how I feel,” he whispered.
He loved her. He always had. He had realized it when he had promised to protect her when she would become Hokage. But he could not confess his feelings to her. Not yet. Not while Omnipotence was still there.
He closed his eyes, enjoying this moment when Sarada was in his arms. He stayed with her until she woke up, as he had promised her.
The end

Interesting detail, just before Mizu and Mikio have their ill fated spar, when Mizu remarks that she’s “never faced a naginata before,” she never says that she hasn’t used one. And Mikio just jumps straight into teacher mode because he’s not taking her at all seriously but he’s also not paying attention. She says she’s never faced a naginata and he says don’t worry, they can take it slow. Does she look like someone who wants to take it slow? No, she looks positively stoked. She looks excited, fired up at the challenge. But he doesn’t see that, because he doesn’t see her. For all his high minded words about wanting to see all of her, as she is, not who Mama wanted her to pretend to be, he doesn’t actually want that. When she begins to deviate from what she has cultivated to please him, when she begins to let more of herself through, then he ignores it, misinterprets it, simply fails to see it. Until it’s unavoidable. Like, as soon as she gets hold of his naginata it is so extremely obvious that she knows how to use it. Worse, she knows how to use it better than he does. And at that point he lashes out, because he never wanted to see her as she really was, but as he imagined her to be

(REQUEST FROM MY POOKIE WOOKIE: “if you haven’t, you should do something where you tell her eyes are pretty like. that one scene with akemi.”)
#: gn reader!
It was cold, and you were alone. Waiting for Mizu. She was taking awhile, but you figured it was nothing and she was just busy.
It had been a couple hours, and you had already made dinner. It was slowly starting to get cold cold and you started to worry. You heard a slide of the door, and a soft knock. Mizu had come home after what seemed like forever.
“I apologize for my lateness.” Mizu said, sounding like she was hurt. You walked over to her and held her arm.
“I’m just glad you’re home. Did something happen?” You ask, worriedly. Mizu didn’t want to bother you, especially since you had already worried so much for her.
“It’s nothing, just a small cut that needs a little stitching.” She said, holding her side in pain. Blood stained her clothes, you knew it wasn’t hers. But that stain right where she was holding definitely was.
“Let me take care of that for you, please. It’s the least I could do for you.” You say, wanting to help as much as you can. Mizu looks at you, smiles a bit, before hissing in pain.
“Thank you.” Mizu says, obviously tired and worn out. You hold her up and take her to the other room. She takes off the layers of clothing, revealing a nasty cut that definitely needed tender care.
You sit next to her, the cut had been around her stomach and she noticed you looked nervous and your eyebrows were furrowed. She watched you as you were focused on taking care of her wound. She feels bad about letting you do this, but she knows there’s no changing your mind.
You felt her eyes on you, one of the things you loved most about her. One of the traits that stands out the most. You still remember the first time you saw them. You come to realize you’ve never told her just how you feel about the way they glistened, and just how much you love them.
After you were done, you sat up and held her hands with yours. “I was worried Mizu. But I’m glad you trust me enough to clear your wounds.” She squeezes your hand, trying to ignore the pain she was in.
“I couldn’t imagine someone else doing it for me..” Mizu says, a tired sigh escaping her. You smile at her comment.
You look up at her. Her hair was down, her glasses were on a small table. You felt compelled to look at her eyes, and started for quiet some time.
“Your eyes are beautiful, Mizu.”
She looks at you, eyes widened a little. They slowly turned into a soft gaze, and she smiled at you.
Although Mizu might not be so good with words when it comes to you, her actions say enough. She hugs you tightly, and you two rest for the night. Falling asleep into her arms, as she holds your head in the most loving way a woman can.
(side note, I hate mizus mom and mikio. This is a mikio hatepage. fuck mikio, I hope he fucking rote in the afterlife.
Im probably just being a hater, cuz nmlnm forever!!! anyways writing still makes me nervous but I love my pookie sm!!
@cyberchxn for you pookie…

y’know I respect a fan’s choice about how they want to view mizu but tiny ramble about it here. this isn’t any sort of discussion or ‘matter of fact’ essay, just a simple rant about headcannons about her being TRANS and her SEXUALITY.
Warning: extremely long.
Given the numerous limitations that would arise from traveling as a woman, I find it very difficult to understand why some people believe Mizu is transgender when it's obvious that she is hiding this information in order to survive. This was particularly true during the Edo period, when women were dehumanized and treated like objects because we only ever see them as a slave or working in a brothel (majority of the show at least). They were also seen having to depend on men for nearly everything, as demonstrated in the episode where the mother and daughter were left outside to freeze to death since her husband was not present to accompany them. Along with that subtle hints were presented to us that show how comfortable she is when in touch with her femininity like a few moments in the episode where she came back to Swords-father Eiji’s hut. Though, I can definitely see why people would label her as transmasc with the theory that she must’ve grown so accustomed to this sort of lifestyle, she’d perhaps just become transmasc in the later episodes. We’ll never know!
Next, not gonna lie, I’m insanely guilty of viewing Mizu as a bisexual women despite feeling that she is leaning more toward heterosexuality in terms of her sexuality. I have the biggest fattest crush on her so I have no problem stating how much I'm crying and wailing over this. Like c’mon, let's be real, I guarantee that 98% of simps are female, and I’m sure every single one of us has mentioned once that we can all treat her better than Mikio and Taigen. Speaking of Taigen, I HAVE to admit that him and Mizu do have the best chemistry compared to everyone in the show. It’s clear in the way she pulls him away from those shooting arrows, knocks him out becahse she fears for his safety if he follows, saving him from Fowler's castle even though she could have easily just left him to die and slain Fowler, etc. At first, I would’ve assumed she’d have trauma with men especially after Mikio’s betrayal which might’ve led her to stray away from any romantic attraction with men—or anybody in general. Honestly, I have dedicated my time to search for ANY hint (ok not rlly) that she might be attracted to women, but the only time I ever see her become flustered by one is when she appears to be taken aback by the prostitues she tried to ask for directions to the Shindo Dojo. Plus, there were only two occasions where she interacted with Akemi that people use to automatically ship them which is when she saw Akemi in her carriage (not sure of the specific name) and pinned her down in Madame Kaji's brothel. I can’t imagine them as a couple in later episodes, something I’m been dying to see. Though, it’s hard to determine what was running in her mind during the scene where they both stole glances at each other, especially since there was no sort of indication in her inner thoughts or emotions, so it’s normal to assume the above as well. (Despite that, I’m still rooting for AT LEAST bisexual Mizu because for the love of god and for the sake of all of the gay women here, PLEASE. /j)
I may make jokes about these headcannons like playfully hating on the TaiMizu ships. All in all, I’m sure the fans are mature enough to understand that these are meant to be lighthearted jokes and that people interpret a character and show in various ways and it’s normal! Even if I can’t comprehend the theory or feel as though it is a little too complicated/really negotiable, remember to support what you want, ship what you want, make whatever headcannons, nobody’s stopping you! Don’t be too afraid to just announce what you feel about the show. All I ask is to avoid SERIOUSLY cancelling someone just because of their own feelings and opinions. In the end, they’re stilll fictional characters (😞😞) who have no sort of physical form of any sort so do whatever, as long as it isn’t really THAT problematic in a sense (e.g. romanticising rape), go for it.
(Sorry for bringing her sexuality into this, I’m aware of how the show is definitely not centering on this and not every single thing has to be LGBTQ-related but I noice it’s something constantly brought up in the fandom. As someone whose phrasing and essay writing skills suck, I’m still learning bit by bit about how the world works in terms of differing views on things. I may not support your idea of a character but I RESPECT it! If I came off as rude, I’m sorry, remember it’s just my random midnight thoughts🙏)

Alright, I can't get screenshots to work but I'm writing the damn post anyway. Thoughts and spoilers below the cut.
People have spent plenty of time debating who betrayed Mizu when she was married to Mikio. Talking about "mama" having opium, how Mikio came back to help her, even criminal-psychology-guilty-people-dont-say-that analysis.
Maybe it's so obvious I'm the only idiot who thinks it's worth mentioning, but we actually get our answer in the final episode. Fowler reveals "mama" was her maid, 'paid to keep [Mizu] hidden, which I hear she did, until the money ran out'. Mama ratted Mizu out. Mizu is gonna be left wondering if her mother is alive, and probably feeling guilty over killing Mikio, who perhaps really did love her.
Also, going over to England, there's a focus on Mizu's outfits and finding one white man in a sea of white men... but what no-one seems to have mentioned is that we experience the show in English, despite the language spoken in-universe being Japanese (Fowler has been there 20 years, he definitely speaks Japanese fluently). So when Mizu and Fowler reach England, the only person she's gonna have to translate for her is Fowler. Think of how much power that gives him, not just over Mizu but also over what information she gets to take in. She knows nothing of England, and nothing of the society there. Fowler can tell her anything and he's the only point of reference she'll have.
On top of that, I don't think for a second he's gonna go along for a jolly stroll around London. I think he's gonna make a run for it the first chance he gets.
I'm really interested to see how the next season goes. I love all the headcannons going on, but I don't think it gonna be a walk in the park at all, not even close to what some people are imagining.

Hello again my Dears! 🩵
Today I want to tell you a bit about how Gaara expresses his Love. His Way of handle Things, Love Language and such. Enjoy! 🫶🏻
I imagine that Gaara's Love Language is physical Touch. When it comes to romantic Relationships, he was never and a Master of Words and he can show his Love way better through actions.
That doesn't mean that he CAN'T express his Love through words. It doesn't happen that often, but he definitely has his own way to say that he loves her. It may not always be a explicit "I love you", but I imagine that Gaara is someone who thinks about what he's saying very intense and so he has his own way to tell Raziela that he loves her.
• "You look beautiful today."
• "Let me take you home."
• "You're the one where I belong to."
• "Did you take care of yourself today?"
• "With you I can be myself."
The biggest act of Love for him is when they sleep with each other. Being so intimate and Gaara being so vulnerable in that Moment is his biggest act of trust, for someone who usually always has his Guard up thats defintely the truth.
I imagine that Gaara, after experiencing romantic Feelings for the first time, is quiet Love hungry. He lived without Love for a very long time, and before he had Feelings for Reeze, he never experienced romantic Love at all. And after getting a bite of that, I imagine that he can't get enough of that - like a Child being desperately wanting love.
That's at least how I imagine that. It's of course not Canon, but I always try my best to stay close to it. ;3; I hope this isn't too much OOC for Gaara.

If Mikio was still alive I bet Taigen would try to kill him.
Like imagine if Mizu didn’t kill Mikio and really did just walk away from the ranch and left him behind with her dead mother and soldiers.
But Mikio was to scared to ever rat her out again so he’s still at the ranch with the greatest secret known to man.
The plot is still the same but after the whole London trip she goes back to Japan and reunites with Taigen who did just want a quiet life and be happy.
He lives by the shore with Ringo and they made their own noodle shop and people travel all around Japan to go to their shop because it’s /so/ good.
Mizu gets word of this and makes her way there all the way to the shore without being detected by anyone because they think that shes dead and by the time she gets there. The shop is fully packed with people and there’s a long line warped around the building
Mizu was surprised but also not surprised at the same time considering how good ringos noodles were. But she didn’t feel like wasting the rest of the day in a line so like a badass that she is, she walked right in getting people Who are waiting in a line for more then a day and rightfully got mad
But Mizu didn’t care about them all she cared about was seeing Taigen and Ringo again after disappearing to London. When she walked in it was much nicer then the noodle shop that Ringo used to work at with his dad. Everything was bigger and more spacious good for them.
But when she walked in she did make a noise complaint from all the people waiting in line and Taigen was ready to kick out whatever jackass thinking that they were better then the rest of them (trust me he knows that feeling all to well) so Taigen left his spot at the cash register to go punch whoever it was.
Only to drop his sword completely. He couldn’t believe his eyes at what he was seeing. Ringo told him that Mizu was gone. Dead in the fire, they couldn’t find the body but they thought that her bones must’ve melted or turned into ash in the big fire at the castle. In the beginning Taigen was in denial and searched weeks months just trying to find a body that’s similar to Mizus hoping to find her while the same time not at all. Couldn’t bear the thought of losing Mizu without having a proper duel or saying his true feelings.
He completely tackled Mizu to the ground hoping that it wasn’t just a ghost that he was seeing. He was a crying sobbing mess completely a wreck in a matter of seconds. Ringo rushed to the front of the shop wondering what in the hell is going on? What’s all the commotion? Only to see Mizu over Taigens shoulder and tackle the both of them as well- smashing them both onto the ground basically into human pancake. Ringo is also a sobbing mess even worse than Taigen.
But Taigen got out of the human pancake pile to announce to the whole shop that they are closing early too much of all of the customers and people waiting outside dismay. They were either shoved out of the shop or threatened saying that it is an important family matter that they need to attend to. Ringo was the only one being polite about it and apologizing and saying that they will get a refund if they come back tomorrow and also apologizing to all the people who are waiting in line for more than a day.
Once everybody was out of the shop and away from the shop in general Ringo went back to the kitchen to cook up some fresh noodles for Mizu really quickly while Taigen was asking 1000,000 questions per millisecond asking all the questions that have been on his mind for so long.
Ringo was also shouting questions from the kitchen also wanted to know how Mizu was still alive after all this time and where could he have gone. Mizu tried to answer the best I could without sounding like a complete nut job and a psychopath. But it’s already coming knowledge that Mizu is those two things. Mizu explain about going to London and killing the other two white people that were supposedly her father as well as going a little aventures washers in London and then meeting some really cool people.
But now he has back with you no more vengeance to venge and is ready for a quiet life. Ringo was more than happy to hear this news as he made his way out of the kitchen with three bowls of hot noodles handing one out to Taigen and Mizu and sat down with his. He was excited to go back to training of trying to be a samurai under the teachings of Mizu again.
Taigen saw this as an opportunity to try and court Mizu now. He didn’t care if Mizu was a man all he cared about was being happy and Mizu made him happy. Now that there wasn’t anything trying to killed them now, he had all the time on his hand to make this courting go absolutely right.
In the end they didn’t Open up the shop next day if anything they didn’t open up the shop until next week because they wanted to show Mizu The cute little village they’re in and all the stores and even their house that they shared with all the land that they have from making all there money off of the shop. They were pretty well off Mizu had to admit.
Ringo made Mizu move right in with them they had a room that was there guessed room but now it’s Mizus and she couldn’t complain it had a nice view of the ocean. After a week the shop opened up again and Mizu started working with them at the noodle shop working as a bodyguard basically keeping the peace in case someone tries to cause trouble. Surprisingly there wasn’t except the time she cut everybody else in line but it seems like everybody forgot about that incident.
It really was just peaceful living. And Mizu loved it but was also scared of it. Nice you really have a taste of what the peaceful life was like with Mikio and it sent chills down her spine. She didn’t want to ruin this one like she did with Mikio. So instead of being a lazy bodyguard Mizu tried to do more extra help around the shop.
But Mizu didn’t know how to do anything but cause pain and destruction wherever she turns. just like I already told her she was like a monster. She would trip over herself or bump her elbow onto something or completely shattered a bowl or break the chopsticks either way there wasn’t a day that we can buy that some of the new that was Mizus fault.
And Mizu got more and more worried and anxious. She couldn’t lose this family as well. She couldn’t live with herself if she did. Ringo and Taigen saw the worry in her and decided to confront her when they were at home.
They basically locked up all the doors in the windows so Mizu couldn’t try to escape when confronting her but surprisingly Mizu didn’t try to run. Because Mizu has nothing to run away from now. She killed them.
So when Ringo and Taigen asked why she was so anxious and worried all the time how it wasn’t like her to be like that. She came out to Taigen that she was a girl.
Ringo was a true even after Mizus “death” he still kepted her true gender as a secret for all this. And was truly surprised that she told Taigen but was sooooooo happy to not have such a big secret on his shoulders anymore.
Taigen was /surprised/ to say the least. Actually that was an understatement. At the dinner table he had a whole sexual identity crisis going on in his head. He totally thought that he was okay with dating and marrying a boy only to find out it was a girl. Genuinely he was so confused but happy just knowing that Mizu was alive and that he was gonna marry her with way boy or girl Taigen was not gonna let her go.
Well Mizu explained about her from quaint and peaceful life on a horse ranch with her former husband and mom. And how she ruined that peaceful life by being “herself” (aka a monster). She even called her own mother saying “I gave you tea with gold leaves and you spat in it” Till this day Mizu blamed herself for ruining her chances with a happy and peaceful life. Her mother is dead and her husband… well she doesn’t know and she doesn’t want to find out.
Taigen is mad at this information and wants to kill Mikio because how in hell does he pass up Mizu?! Her powerful body is hot! And watching her kill people’s is sexy! And how dare Mikio betray her like that!
Taigen storms out of the house trying to clear his head. Damn he really wants to find this Mikio guy and kill him so bad! How dare he make Mizu hurt like this?! But then he stops pacing the stairs I was hands. How ironic keeping some self knowing that when he was younger he also did that exact same thing. Hurting Mizu and calling her a monster.
But it’s different this time! He doesn’t see her as a monster. He sees her as someone he can love someone he can fight for someone he can live for someone he can die for.
But in order to make Mizu see that he needs to show her exactly that. And just on que Mizu runs out of the house looking for Taigen only to see him right outside the porch. Mizu runs up to Taigen to try and cool his down telling him to not make any dumb decisions. But of course Taigen does exactly that.
Taigen pulls Mizu into a kiss it was fast and sweet. He looks Mizu deep into her beautiful crisp blue eyes and told her that he’s gonna go look for Mikio kill him for hurting you come back with his head as proof and marry her and there’s no stopping him from doing that. All he asks is for Mizu to wait for him.
Mizu completely in shock just nods her head not really fully registering what just happened. Not until she sees Taigen go on a horse and rides away does it all fully click in her head that she now has to wait for her “husband” to come back.
How long does she have to wait? She doesn’t really know but she wishes she could come. She’ll love to see Mikio be killed. That was her husband after all. But she’s absolutely fine waiting for Taigen to come back to her.
Ringo on the other hand was watching this all go down threw the window and this is the most juiciest tea he got his hands on besides the old ladies that always sit in the corner of the shop gossiping about the village.
♥️ thanks for reading!!!

everytime i remember that taigen was turned on imagining himself battling mizu i go a little bit feral i think.... that scene just so perfectly represents them. akemi using her own ability to understand people and her desire to have power by narrating the gayest, to their knowledge of mizu's gender, battle scene before having sex with taigen...
how sex is always about submitting to akemi, about being vulnerable and taken care of by her, about being aroused when akemi acts as a mirror of that person. she uses sex as a means of understanding someone's soul, because that's all it could be to her. it's power as much as it is pleasure, to her and other women like madame kaji. it's deeper than sex; it's a mirror.
that taigen is aroused not only by himself, like lord watari or whatever his name was, but by mizu's skill in battle. by the tumbling and struggle of battle. by his submitting to mizu, by his defeating mizu. how, in the end, fighting is the source of mizu and taigen's strengthening relationship.
mizu is also aroused by her fighting taigen... omfg the flashback about them tumbling together when madame kaji leads mizu thru those little windows into private rooms. sword-fighting is intimate to her, which i believe is partially why she says how he was the one worthy of her sword. sword-fighting is literally her entire life. to recognize his skill and ADMIRE him for it... it makes me go insane you don't understand
UGHH and my recent favorite part... taigen says, when mizu and him were fighting fowler in the 8th episode, "it's your fight. so it's mine." ARGHHGG ARF ARGSFHFJ GRRRR and mizu deliberately wanting to protect him???
she does that a lot. protect people. she doesn't even realize it's because of the goodness in her, i think... at least not consciously. not many people have told her it's what's so admireable about her (see, if i knew her, i wouldn't shut up about it...). but she cares so much about people that she got duped by that one four fangs guy.
she trusted and loved mikio.
so that she feels that way with taigen... jesus christ. it's not that she forgot or maybe even forgave him for his abuse, it's that they've both changed. time and time again mizu saves his ass... and taigen time and time again grows fonder towards her. it's insane. i love them. so much.
i just I LOVE IT!!! i love this show. i love taigen i love mizu i love akemi i love ringo i love swordfather i love seki. such beautifully written characters and relationships.... i'm going insane

An analysis of Mizu×Akemi
Tumblr media
Mizu gave up Akemi to Lord Daichi's men saying her path of revenge has no room for "love, friendship or weakness." She looked Ringo up and down at "weakness" after which he got offended and ended his apprenticeship for not helping Akemi. Mizu's eyes held guilt as Akemi cried out for her, hoping to be by Mizu's side and not go through with her marriage to the Shogun's son. Mizu was aware that if she fought Daichi's men, it meant more would be coming, which inadvertently meant more time having Akemi around, growing close to her... peering into her soul, breaking some walls... like she did at Madam Kaji's when she lay bare the fact that she's not the killer she pretends to be. Which was hammer meets nail as far as Mizu's singular purpose is concerned. It also means a lot that Mizu's appearance in itself wasn't scary to Akemi, or worthy of contempt despite being an aristocrat in an extremely xenophobic time. Racism should've been her second language but she doesn't exercise it. She only noted the distress evident in Mizu's behavior. Her rage- "Your face isn't even so scary... you're just... angry."
The thing about noticing is... you keep noticing more. Especially someone as observant and calculated as Akemi. Mizu was aware of this, hence why she tested Akemi's mettle in the brothel knowing she was the princess all along, trying to get under her skin instead of the other way around- "You thought I wouldn't recognize you?" casting back to the very intense first sight exchanged between the two on the bridge in ep 1. Mizu looked up with little interest, yet the stoic samurai's jaw dropped upon their prolonged eye contact and she tracked the palanquin long after Akemi had left her line of sight. It's implicit that love, friendship, and weakness represent Akemi, Taigen, and Ringo respectively. When Ringo questioned why Mizu let the princess go, she stated that Akemi's "better off" almost following up with "without me." She didn't deem her marriage to the Shogun as favourable, hell, she was unimpressed by the fact that Akemi was trying to save her doomed engagement with Taigen, telling her she's "begging to eat trash" despite being a "magical forest creature," who could have anything she wants. Mizu still considered it the lesser evil as opposed to spending time alone with her.
Tumblr media
This isn't the case with Taigen, whom she is decidedly more comfortable with even though he threatens her, and calls her slurs. In part, Mizu believes that she deserves the hatred. She's more familiar with it. With her past where she was the demon as opposed to the future where she could be loved. Imagining true love is cruel for Mizu so she rejects it and embraces her darkness. It protects her from people actually seeing her as a person. As a whole. She can loathe herself in peace. She can be a vessel of revenge. She even promised Taigen the duel he wanted to up and kill her in exchange for his honour. Believing she won't have much to live for after concluding her revenge. Akemi is not the same. She never wished to hurt Mizu, going only so far as to try and drug her, until Mizu made her believe she killed her fiancé. Akemi was soon able to see Mizu's honour when she fought alone against the Thousand Clawed to protect Kaji's girls. Akemi was bent on helping, braving the trained men to protect Ringo and then to save Mizu's life from the man who almost choked her to death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will forever love the detail of her vulnerability in the face of death being mirrored by Mizu's own intimacy with Mikio in the flashback, letting her body serve love over rage for once. Engaging in sex was a huge step towards transparency on Mizu's part. Also, the fact that Akemi, in her little capacity, wielded her knife and pulled the clawed men away from unconscious Mizu, trying to keep their focus on her. Knowing she could very well die. She tells Ringo "I have been a captive my whole life. If I die, I'll die free." And then she goes upstairs saying "Mizu can't hold them off alone." Acting, most likely, out of a place of love. I was also warmed at the instances of Akemi trying to "drug" Mizu before she took on the bitter task of killing Kinuyo and then a few scenes later "slapping her awake" from a burning memory of betrayal. When her father's men came to fetch her, Akemi did not doubt that Mizu would fight for her after she did the same for her, hence her asking for her validation "I'm not going anywhere... right, Mizu?". And Mizu would've fought them for her, what's 3 more men after a whole army? But something prevented her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To ruin Akemi's strong faith in her then... as opposed to later? When more of her ugliness had spilled before the princess? When both their hearts were more open to be scrutinized by the other? Madam Kaji and Swordfather Eiji are both the motherly and fatherly advice Mizu sorely needs. That fighting is an art, not independent of loving. Mizu cannot evade love if she is to take on a bigger war. She cannot do it alone and the story's purpose keeps circling back to the same lesson. Fighting from a place of hatred can never be stronger than fighting from a place of love. Akemi, evidently, was hoping to seek refuge under Mizu's protection. She is loyal, as she was to Taigen even though he abandoned her in pursuit of his lost honor. But Mizu's betrayal broke her heart. At the end of the Bunraku play in ep 5, Akemi confessed that she met the Onryo but that it was "incapable of love." That she searched his eyes for "love or mercy or good," only finding darkness. Both Mizu and Akemi weighed the merit of love in each other, Mizu pushed Akemi away because she felt love and Akemi avoided Mizu because she felt her lack of love.
Taigen, Mizu's former bully, did learn to respect her as a fighter and comrade. Representing their growing camaraderie, how they fight alongside. Mizu told him about Akemi getting married off to the Shogun's son in her duty to him as a friend. Upon learning that she abandoned Akemi, Taigen is also reasonably pissed. Mizu is on the precipice of the rebirth of her katana. Swordfather is justified in being wary of her guilt and darkness, refusing to aid in her pursuit but only guiding her by way of asking her to seek peace, to unify herself. Which she does by adding Chiaki's broken blade (which Taigen took), Akemi's knife, Eiji's tongs and Ringo's bell into the forge. She is ready to make amends by going to save Akemi, to encourage her to leave with Taigen, to be honorable as Ringo wants, and to find peace as Eiji wishes. And ofc to fuck the shit out of Fowler.
Tumblr media
Akemi's repeated assertion of "we are not friends" (accompanied by the angy eyes) when Mizu comes back to save her is reflective of that heartbreak Akemi felt after relying on Mizu for her freedom before. Mizu tries to fix this by showing her a way to Taigen, trying to do right by her, asking "Do you still want your freedom or not." To give her what she wants even if she disapproves of Akemi's choice when she states "He's not a good guy, but he could be a great one." Seki too, gives Akemi a share of her dowry he saved to build a free life "With Taigen, or without." Akemi did end up rejecting the idyllic runaway Taigen was willing to embark on, it is hard to say Mizu would take it as an opportunity to make a move on Taigen after deeming him unsuitable for a partner. It would be against her nature to try to jump in as a lover just because Akemi's out of the picture. Not when she's so hot on the track of striking down Skeffington and Routley. It's pretty straightforward if you ask me.
Tumblr media
Mizu is focused on going up for a bigger war. To seek the truth. To turn London upside down to kill all the four white demons that sabotaged her life since conception. This is parallel to Akemi deciding to stay and take control of the Shogunate through her powers over her decidedly meek husband. To take control of her life against all the odds that seek to box her up. I do not doubt that she will move to include Kaji and her girls in her retinue, subdue her father's machinations and rebuild Edo, and wrest power from whoever threatens her. Love doesn't seem to be on her cards. Kaji told her to choose a path of freedom through a man, not to choose a man to love like she'd been doing all along- "Stop running to and from men and decide what you want for your fucking self." Could this mean that Akemi is to never chase men romantically? Either way, Akemi follows through pretty quickly. Takoyoshi is a means to an end. Her sexual prowess was her first tool to entry into the Shogunate. Nothing more than an instrument of control as opposed to her initiating any sort of genuine romantic bond.
I fail to see as of now where Mizu and Taigen's paths collide romantically further since the latter clearly showed his intention to abandon all pursuits of greatness and to settle down. Which is vastly opposed to what Mizu and Akemi are bent on doing. I see a lot of potential there. If anything, Mizu would quite possibly need Akemi's refuge if she were to return to Japan in the wake of the London chaos. They are foils of each other. On the opposite ends of the spectrum with the same stories. Poor-rich, blue-red, water-vermillion, darkened-fair, streetsmart-booksmart, warrior-prostitute, bastard-pureblood, masculine-feminine, caged internally- caged externally, widow-new bride. Both deal with same vindictive self-serving parents. Mizu lost her stand-in mother in ep 5, and Akemi lost Seki at the end of ep 9. Mizu the crashing waves and Akemi the rising flames. Both women. Both so alike yet so different. Mizu's name is pretty straightforward, meaning "water." However Akemi's can be written as "bright sea" or "vermillion beauty" While vermillion is Akemi's colour scheme, "sea" is likely her connection to Mizu.
I find the sex in the show to be representative at best. Borne out of duty or manipulation rather than true love. Just because Akemi and Taigen had sex was no testament to the endurance of the depth of their relationship, same as Mizu and Mikio's wasn't. Akemi's alliances with men have always been influenced by the need to go with or against her father and never her independent choice. Same as Mizu merely agreeing to her mother's insistence on marrying and settling down. I liked the juxtaposition of Mizu being submissive during sex and Akemi being dominant, both with Taigen and Takoyoshi as well as in the brothel. Here, I would extend that this isn't their true nature. Both in marriage or the brothel, sex is labour meant to cater to men. As Seki said a woman can only have fixed paths- "Proper wife or improper whore." I can't imagine Mizu or Akemi being happy as either.
Akemi for the most of S1 only wanted to be loved but was being forced to use her lovemaking skills to steer men into agreeing with her. Playing the improper whore. I imagine that in a safer intimate relationship, she would enjoy being on the bottom, to be protected and pleasured instead of always being the pleasurer. Mizu on the other hand, was shown to deliberately downplay her physical agencies during her marriage, to pretend to not know knife throwing or what she wants during sex, thus settling for whatever her husband had to give lest he feel inferior. I would imagine she'd prefer to be loved in all her proactive masculinity, to not be forced to submit. To not be forced to be the proper wife.

Mizu has repeatedly been shown to dominate people unthinkingly, her safety lies in her being on top and knowing what she's getting into. We saw a glimpse of that in the brothel with Akemi under Mizu where she ordered the princess to "get down." The colours from their respective sex scenes blended into one, inky blue on Mizu's end, warm golden on Akemi's. Mizu immediately doses the princess on pursuing worthless men and then Akemi soon willingly submitting to Mizu's protection while thinking of her to be a man. They both tried doing the rightful wife thing, both tried to save their marriages with their husbands as best they could, to be the ideal women even after both men bailed on them. But now they are liberated. Akemi is free from her father and on the path to rule Edo, Mizu is on her own with Fowler, to pursue her revenge in London. Both are relentless in their pursuits. Akemi's "No one refuses me" and Mizu's "We're going to the 9th level" is one and the same. Unstoppable force meets immovable object. Only time will tell. I rest my case.

Ngl I want to imagine a Mizu x reader where the reader might be an even bigger asshole than Mikio (They're an active spy for the Dutch/Portuguese and possibly one of the four known white guys). The reader might even join her for a long part of the journey, just to grapple with betraying her someday. I want the S1E5 electric boogaloo. No, I need the S1E5 electric boogaloo.
We know that Mizu's that one hero who'll never ever die but that doesn't mean we can't give her more trauma after season 1
