got absolutely possessed over the past few days, finished planning out the remaining last life designs i had yet to do, and then drew all of them again to make one big lineup with everyone. no one could stop me from making last life a fantasy monster au and so i did it. i love drawing creatures

please note that this follows my own monster au species and rules! some things are things i simply made up (the bug/animal/birdfolk stuff. if youre curious why theyre the way they are, bugfolk are fae relatives, animalfolk are lycanthrope relatives, and. well birdfolk isnt something ive used before. idk what theyre an offshoot of yet) and some are my own (sometimes slightly strange) approach to designing various creatures.

Okay i'll take my anon mask off to be a weirdo. I'm fixated on the whole bit of Loops design, where their star has that pixelation to it. I don't see a lot of people paying much attention to it, but there's that whole relationship between being a living tutorial entity able to read profiles, and also having once been a previous iteration of Sif that had their whole existence overwritten. I also think about that conversation where you run out of conversations with Loop and they say something about the Universe (as a sort of cheeky nod to 'we can't program in infinite conversations here') So I like to think that the Island may have also been privy to the idea that the Universe is quite literally a medium, not just the moon and stars and stuff, but like. Knowledge of the Fourth Wall, and they called it the Universe since that was the closest analogue. Something something, it's like CHIM from the Elder Scrolls. I dunno, I need to cook this idea more before. But also the idea of Loop being scrapped together data is fun. Woe, eldritch knowledge be upon ye - a cog in a machine that can't quite perceive that fourth wall, but is aware they're being jerked around by the script.

This is sorta aligned with canon as far as I know?

ID5 confirmed Loop has some meta knowledge to an extent.

They know about phones, they tease at being in a game, ECT.

I've actually talked about this before, but the jist of the post was Loop knows there IS a fourth wall but doesn't know what the fourth wall is entirely.

Loop knows there is something out there bigger than them but can't actually fully grasp it because well... They're IN it.

Like how we know there is a universe but we can't actually fully acknowledge what the means no matter what without devolving into philosophy and science and all that stuff.

I don't think islanders completely grasped that concept unless they were really deep into studying the universe and wishes and even those scholars probably don't know as much as Loop does because Loop was basically touched by the Universe itself and even they are only semi aware of the status of the fourth wall and the broader scheme of things. Only gods(like Change) can truly fathom that stuff and Loop is at best a demi-god in their current state. Mortal with a touch of divinity.

Kindest reminder that aside from Sky and Wild, none of the others have even heard of the Goddess Hylia before meeting up. The goddesses they would invoke, if any, would be either Farore, Din, or Nayru.

i'm still so upset that they put scorch in the bad batch, gave him no personality whatsoever, confirmed it was in fact him by name, but treated him as basically just a mid-tier baddie

when if they had done the EXACT SAME THING but make it sev instead, it actually answers questions and gives some sort of resolution instead of just saying 'hey fuck you, the rest of delta is probably dead but we're not gonna give any actual real answers, scorch is alone and has no personality left'

if it was sev, we know that the empire found sev on kashyyyk, it implies that the rest of delta MAYBE got out of the gar

and then ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is to NOT kill him and just let us all believe they reunite

they didnt HAVE to do the most depressing thing possible to delta BUT THEY DID and im still upset
