OH HECK YEAH! One of my old time favourite aus! Let's see what I can come up with:

They didn't know each other prior to their roles as their characters, but the chemistry was instantaneous and just so natural, they were meant to be together by the end of this.

Shinichi does not get to film a lot because... /points at Conan/ but that doesn't mean he doesn't spend a lot of time there.

He goes just to look at his friends perform, to give them some drinks or some yummy food he bought for them because he was passing by close and wanted to see them.

As they grew more and more comfortable together, they kinda just started to mold the relationship between the characters as themselves. Their crush was painfully obvious, and most of Shinichi's character's flustered red faces are just natural to him.

It was Ran's idea to grab him by the tie when they filmed the kiss on the cheek for the Kyoto episode. She did it unexpectedly and didn't warn him, so his reaction there was very much genuine.

They had to do so many takes for the almost kiss right after. He was shaking. She was sweating bullets. It shouldn't be this hard, but it was because real feelings are in the way.

They do lots of interviews and go to fun conventions together, so the public soon started to notice that their chemistry is not only between the characters but mostly is due to the actors themselves.

The shipping of them two together starts and it just never stops. People are very quick to start to publish posts analyzing the way they smile when in the same room, to make video compilations of them staring lovingly at each other, or pointing out how they just seem to never be able to keep their hands to themselves. It's insane.
