what almost made me cry (along with her using the wisdom of the other witches of her coven in the final fight) was that part of the flashback where Agatha told her son that she can do so much stuff (mostly damaging) with her magic, but she cannot "use her purple" to magic a meal for him (warp and create reality out of nothing like Wiccan, and Wanda), she cannot heal him (Jenn's potions and healing knowledge), she cannot protect him (like Alice, a protection witch) and she cannot divine when death will come for him again (like Lilia divined future dangers and many other events)... she always needed her coven! THIS coven that we ended up knowing and loving in these few episodes. she just didn't know it yet. i don't think she ever realised it, at least not til it was too late, in the afterlife. but what sweet full-circle moments these two scenes were 💜

Hey no one asked but I wanna talk about ✨ Freyja Montayne ✨

I love this absolutely rough-n-tumble herbo of a giant woman SO DANG MUCH.

Why?

Because when I came into G/t I genuinely felt an emptiness for the kind of thing that my heart craved. I wanted to find a genuinely Giant woman who was big and strong, loud and proud, a big dork and the absolutely purest of sweethearts. I dumped everything that brought me joy in life—both platonically and romantically—into a character and just made her so self-indulgently.

Freyja is powerful, but gentle; immense, but kind; passionate, but patient. She truly is the kinda giant woman that I daydream about all the time because she just is all of my favorite parts of G/t and more.

I’m so excited to share more about her with y’all 💖

Postcolonial Astrology: Reading the Planets through Capital, Labor, & Power by Alice Sparkly Kat is my current non-fiction read and so far, it's very good

i'm reading a lot of comics at the moment, but my main read is Manhunter (2004) which so far, is very good, i highly recommend. i'm also planning to read Midnighter (2007) and Black Widow (2014).

The Acolyte has been my most recent fixation so that's just on loop rewatching over and over in the background. a lot

i've been watching Pennyworth which is far better than i expected it to be, i'm really enjoying it

coffee or tea: tea. i used to be a big coffee person in my teens but my chronic illness doesn't like caffeine and it *really* doesn't like coffee so i just drink tea now, but i do love tea

hobby to try: the unrealistic hobby i'd like to get into a fanfiction binding, but that takes materials and resources i do *not* currently have. i think a more realistic answer is i've been meaning to get into marvel comics more.

current au: tbh the main AU i'm working on is a Lance Brunner-centric Post-Crisis fic where i'm completely rewriting his origins to make his death as Robin more significant but still something no one talks about, leading to the ressurection of Jason also reviving Lance and Jason going on his little spree, having no idea he's not the only dead Robin. i've figured out all of the backstory and how i want to characterize Lance, but the actual plot of the fic i'm still working out. i'm leaning toward Lance/Dick as a ship, but i haven't decided. i have so many notes and ideas though and i think it's funny to take a random one-off character from a random 60s comic and actually turn him into something substantial and how he'd shape the Batfamily. trust me i'm so close to infodumping about it here everyday.

i'm also working on a *really* messed up unhealthy Damian/Tim fic, where Damian purposefully breaks the timeline so Tim was never Robin and Damian was the third Robin instead. but when Bruce "dies" Damian realizes he has no idea where to start with finding Bruce so he has to go to a civilian!Tim for help, who has no idea the timeline was changed or that he was ever Robin in a different world. it's gonna be fun and fucked up and full of Damian's jealousy complex over Tim.

The overhead spotlights drop the second the showrunner points to the cameras, who, in turn, point to you. Big white bounce cards blind your peripherals and the sound of murmurs throughout the studio, executives and assistants alike, work their way into your ears. The voices swirl into one drone of static and the lights start getting brighter and brighter. Your grip on the arms of the chair grows tighter. Manicured fingernails threaten to dig into the upholstery, the gaudy necklace resting on your chest beginning to brand into your skin. The makeup caked onto your flesh feels like it’s melting, taking your dermis with it.

You can't tear your eyes away from behind the host's head, staring off into space and trying not to focus on the bile beginning to bubble in your pitted stomach.

You knew you should've eaten something.

As the host waits for her after-ad-break cue, shuffling her question cards and sipping coffee from her custom show-branded cup, you feel restless. Legs bouncing out of sync, begging to get up, to run off set and out onto the bustling streets below and never look back. Maybe a bus or cab will make it end, make it stop. You were never cut out for this, never supposed to be here.

"Bunny."

You gasp, your trance broken as the deep bass sounding out your nickname cuts through the noise. It's like oxygen for you. He is oxygen for you. You can’t escape him willingly- he’ll only find a way to be there. To always be there.

You whip your head around to face the herd of people and producers staring at you. Out of all of them, through the blinding lights, you meet his gaze. All six feet four inches, built-like-a-god, broad shoulders of him. His eyes shine like sea glass behind the camera operator, baby blue and looking only at you. For that moment, you are the only one he sees. His target. His. You are the only one he can touch, who he can feel, halfway across the room.

The pit only grows larger, filling your hunger with nausea. You'd bet all the money in the world he schmoozed some P.A. just to make sure he was there to see you. To surveil you.

You wish you were playing in traffic.

fun fact about me i was an avid google+ user back in the day up till its closure and for some unholy reason i had notifications turned on for gmail and got an email for every comment, mention, or post my friends made so now i have a little time capsule sitting in the back of my gmail whenever i open it and it makes me wanna cry whenever i look through the old friends i lost contact with forever after it shut down.... :,)
