What if I could offer you both a team with a much less confusing name? It's very...objective about what it's referencing! Ahaha!

Alright, should check myself before I get in too over my head...this is our first time fighting another evil team leader, we should play this with caution. Save our star player for last...Everyone ready?

FIGHT ME, MAXIE! I will awaken what sleeps within this mountain myself! ...but first explain to me what exactly it is.

Completely overwhelmed! Sungaze is doing amazing!

And a zubat...a ZUBAT!? This is nothing but a motley menagerie of mammals! How can you claim to love the land but not embrace the pokemon who are of the earth itself? I just beat you with three of them! I didn't even need my ace!

While heading down the mountain, we ran into this...seemingly lost Magma grunt? Saying something about a HIDEOUT...Hey! I'm supposed to be the one with the cool mountain hideout! No fair!

Wait. I have a hideout! It's...a little empty, but these guys just have some wall that doesn't even have a hole in it! I'm the one on top now!

...What...what is THAT!? It's so cute!!! A BALTOY? This random trainer on the jagged pass had it-I must find one for myself! Quick, pokedex, direct me to its location.

Oh it's in the desert. That I cannot currently progress into.

...Aw, COME ON!

Lavaridge seems like a nice place to relax after all that chaos. I can't help but be a little miffed, though. No closer to finding the Titans, no answers from Team Magma, this meteorite doesn't seem to do anything, and I can't even go into the desert to get that Baltoy thing...I've become so strong, we've become so strong, but we're still as aimless as ever.

Well, there's still one thing we can do...

Prove the might of Object Pokemon against this gym! See you next time for that. Team Objective-because Object pokemon are Objectively the best!

@mmmaxi yeah I definitely agree, Martin would be supremely on point as a 1950s fleming novel bond. His looks echo the handsome actors of that period, he loves and looks great in those 50s fashion staples, as well as having the acting ability in spades to pull it off 👍

On Martin as Bond

As opposed to the well-worn, familiarly airy charms of TH as Bond, I’d find it more interesting to see Martin as an older, world-weary Bond who’s more politically minded and picks his fights, this canny, sassy guy who makes use of people underestimating him to worm his way into situations, only then revealing his dark, ruthless streak to get the job done 👍

Martin would also be great in a black humoured Bond spoof where he plays a real life mi6 agent who gets transported to the fictional Bond universe, where he gets out of dangerous situations by correcting everyone’s logic and generally facepalming at the lasers, random hot women with double-entendre names and cat stroking megavillian nonsense 😁

I’ve just e-mailed fanfiction.net to request that ‘Billabong Series’ be added to their lists.  It’s already on AO3 but would like to see ff.net also join us.
