Anniversary of [S] Jade: Enter!

This marks Jades entering of her Sburb session, as well as Becsprites forming, and so most assumably, Bro Striders death. Plenty to be appreciative of there.

Meanwhile I’m sure many of you know about the new Extended Zodiac test! A personality test found on the Hiveswap official website that determines your canon Troll Symbol, Derspit Moon, and Aspect!! I’ll be writing a longer post about that last part tomorrow.

So take the test everyone! And promise you won’t have an identity crisis if you get a surprising result. You might learn something about yourself you never considered before! But at the end of the day it’s still a flawed human made personality test. So be sure to read all the new, canon, Aspect blurbs to see what really resonates with you!

Sprite and intermission character applications are open!

With this comes a few more rules/guidelines in place, however. There are more new rules for the sprites than the intermission characters due to their convoluted nature. We don't want the timeline to become confusing due to strange relations with a sprite (Because really, an actual mashup between Sollux and Eridan is just going to end up with a lot of "What the actual fuck"s.)

Sprite Rules

> There has to be a name change. This is important, however, it can be decided once/if you are accepted. The community we have are eager and full of ideas to help you come up with names if you're stuck! However, having any ideas beforehand will tell us that you have thought about this extensively.

> No predetermined relationships. As much as this is already a rule, it needs to be restated for this. Please do not send in applications for a character that bases off of the assumption that your character is related to another character. Obviously, the muns of those characters may not want that relationship, but it also shows us that your characterisation of your muse might be entirely dependant on another for their personality, which will make it more likely that we will reject your application.

> Make sure they're more. You're going to be playing a humanstuck version of your character, so try to give them a little bit of flavour rather than making them a carbon copy of how they act in canon (new interests, dislikes, hobbies, etc). Show this through your examples, if possible. (This is especially important for people intending on choosing Nannasprite, Jadesprite and Rosesprite for obvious reasons.)

> Make them human. This shouldn't really need to be a rule, but it's just so that you know that we are looking for human only characters. (That means Becsprite and Jaspersprite).

Intermission Character Rules

> No gang activity. Whilst the intermission characters are canonically in gangs, there have been past issues with gang activity in the AU. As much as we respect that it may bring excitement, we do not want this turning into a gang/mafia AU in the slightest, due to the fact that it drags characters into stressful situations that the muns may not be okay with. Exceptions may be made, if and only if you are capable of giving us an extensive explanation regarding how you're going to handle gang activity. However, it mustn't be the focal point of your character's activities. If we, the mods, genuinely feel as if you are not going to turn it into a mafia AU, we will bend to allow this in some cases.
