That's it for these two lovebirds (?) and that means it's almost time for the start of winter! To recap:

🏫 Hamlet and Tucker went to Windflower Tech and stayed at Price Hall, the low-budget option. 🗡️ They both basically immediately cheated on each other and went through a fraught period in their relationship :| 👨‍🦰 Hal Lindengrove, Basil Babinski's boyfriend, joined their love triangle, so that'll be interesting. 📄 They both graduated with decent grades and are headed back to Windflower Bay!

I'll be real y'all, I think this my last hurrah for college in the Sims 2. I just don't enjoy it and I can't figure out a combination of semesters/days/autonomy that make it more interesting to me.

So! I'm planning to install all the college want blockers + Nopke's Growing Up Wants Panel mod to add the option to get more want slots for sims who grow up in Platinum aspiration. That feels like a nice substitute for the challenge of university.

It won't affect any teens for a while since the next batch would be Hamlet's younger brothers, Hermes and Henry, but I already feel so relieved I won't have to mess with college anymore 😭

Anyway. Onto the wrap-up post!

A question for the mods: What do you like about Miphlink? I love hearing everyone's thoughts on it :]

Perc: What *don’t* I love about the ship — it’s the only one I’ve felt motivated to write for. They’re a badass warrior couple that I could see relating to each other on a personal level. Mipha is straight up the most Paladin character (warrior who heals). The Aragorn-Arwen parallels (Link spent time in the Domain as a kid, Mipha has the longer lifespan). The fact that the Domain is way more familial to Link than any other region. The contrasting colors. The proof that quiet people can be powerful. The ARMOR.

I think the tragedy made the ship stick for me, along with the multi-timeline hope and support of AoC. But I wouldn’t have gotten as much joy writing them together if there wasn’t some good overlap from canon. There’s just enough detail for Link and Mipha that they’re more than mere player avatars and it’s worth building them out into a bunch of new stories.

Lili: What got me hooked(pun intended) on MiphLink is that they have history together, having been friends since childhood, as well as the idea of them defying expectations or fate to choose each other. Also, I love pain and their romance makes my heart ache in the best way possible. Their union was doomed to end in heartbreak from the start. We all know what happened, but even if Mipha had survived the Calamity she would've outlived Link. But there's something about them still choosing to be together despite all of that. 🐬🗡️💖

Snail: I really like Mipha and mostly just want to be happy. She deserves a cute knight boyfriend :^) Mipha seems to be someone that could ground Link, too. She's someone he can trust to hold her own in battle and not have to worry about too much.

Shield: I am a hopeless romantic and a sucker for tragedy and/or different lifespans. This pair fit everything, from being reminiscent of Arwen and Aragorn, to being doomed to be separated by death even if all they hoped for came true. I was drawn to their story because it felt like they were so deeply wronged and stolen from by fate. So I became deeply invested in wishing that they could have had their happy years in full, and I'm still there. It's very rare for me to be so invested in a pair of characters, which I think speaks to how compelled I was by what they could have had 😭💔

Clock: Never cared much for love and romance in media, then it caught up to me. Covid hit, isolation hit harder, relationships fell apart. I fell into a rut and started playing games I'd been putting off just to have something new. Breath of the Wild was one of those games, and God damn was it so much fun. But it didn't hook me emotionally, not till I did the Zora Questline. I think that loneliness coupled with Mipha's tragic story and how it added so much more weight to the game and Link as a character had in impact on me. I see love in a lot more places now. I've become a romantic in a sense. I got motivated to start drawing again, and in doing so met so many cool artists and writers who continued to inspire and support me. Life got better. Those two characters will always have a place in my heart and mind as a result. I have to do them justice.

Hello there and welcome to the Build-A-Headmate Oracle, a blog hoping to foresee all your brain buddy needs…

We’re a mixed-origins system of 8-10ish, but I seriously doubt many of us will post. Yeah, we’re going to stick with the whole fortune-teller gimmick bc it’s awesome. We decided to post some alter packs here bc the ones we made worked for us. Twice. And so we figured we may as well share the good luck and positivity and such.

In all seriousness, here’s the rules, formats and mod list;

Rules

No hate speech. This should go without saying. Alters who have a tendency to say problematic things are fine, but those are their mistakes to make, not ours.

Nothing to do with Nazis, pedophilia, rape, homophobia, transphobia, terrorism, ableism, animal abuse etc.

If you want me to include paraphilias, kindly find another blog. I do not condone hate for paraphiles, but I am uncomfortable including them in these packs.

No anti-endogenic rhetoric (with some exceptions). We are staunchly pro-endo. If you want an anti-endo brain buddy to help keep yourself safe in an anti-endo environment, that’s fine.

No in-depth sexual requests. With all due respect, your kinks are your own, and I have no interest in them. I will not be including kinks in these packs.

If one of us gets bad ju-ju from a request, and they have a good enough explanation, we’ll have to deny it, sorry.

Formats

Please understand we will only take one format request for a headmate at any given time. If you like our contributions that much, feel free to come back and request another pack for your new friend after you’ve taken about a week or so to ruminate on what you’ve got so far and make all the changes that feel right and all the additions you can. These are intended for anyone to come along at any stage of new alter development and get what they need without anything they’ve already figured out. This is also so we don’t burn out, give up and abandon this whole project haha /srs.

New Moon

This is the most basic alter pack there is. A few names, some pronouns, preferences for gendered terms and two faceclaims, one from picrew, one from pinterest. This is a starting point, a place to jump off from. This deals with vague vibes and gives you a basic way to refer to the new guy/gal/toaster oven.

Waxing Crescent

The next step up in terms of information. Only offers genders, sexualities, aesthetics, sign-offs, roles and inspirations for songs/music taste based on general vibe/ask specifications.

First Quarter

This alter pack only gives username/internet handles, likes, dislikes, favourite shows, favourite movies, favourite books and favourite animals.

Waxing Gibbous

This is the alter pack specifying hobbies, habits (positive, negative and neutral), fronting triggers (again, pos, neg and neu), titles, basic opinions on various things specified in the ask, spiritual beliefs (or lack thereof), as well as various tumblr tags they would be interested in and will have one classical painting attached based on vibes and vibes alone. Please note that this pack takes the longest to complete.

Full Moon

This is only by request of IRL friends, or as a passion project in between requests. It encompasses all of the above, and then some if we feel like it. Please don’t request this. We will either not respond or ask you to just pick one of the above packs instead.

Hi! 24F here looking for someone 18+ for a Disney roleplay!

So this is probably a long shot, but I thought I'd try anyway. I'm looking for a Disney roleplay! Specifically I’m hoping to play Cassandra from Tangled the Series/Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure roleplay! I’m desperate to do an f/f romance with her, and while my preference would be to pair her against Rapunzel, I’m honestly happy to try pairing her against other ladies from the show/other Disney ladies in general. I’m also not against trying out doing Unknighted Dream— though I’ve got no desire to wind up maining Eugene constantly. I'm not interested in playing against OC’s!

Don’t have a set point in canon I’d prefer or anything— I’m just as happy to do something pre-canon as I am to do road trip stuff set during season two, or something angsty with moonstone Cass, or something fix-it set post canon, as long as we have an interesting plot worked out! I can honestly take or leave smut, but if we are going to include it I really don’t want that to become the entire roleplay.

I tend to write in third person past tense, going anywhere from short paragraphs, to 2-4 paragraph responses depending on the scene in play. Obviously sometimes trying to eek out longer responses can get a bit tortured especially in dialogue heavy scenes, but I’d rather not be getting 1-2 line responses consistently? I’m generally a quick replier (and I’ll let you know in advance if for some reason I won’t be able to check for a few days), and would prefer to match with someone who’s decently consistent, but I get that life happens and writers block can be the worst so please don’t feel like I’m going to be harassing you to reply all the time.

I’m GMT but I work odd hours so I can’t make any promises you won’t get responses from me in the middle of the night/the early hours. Oh, and if the plot is going well there’s a good chance you’ll have to put up with me sending you moodboards and playlists and stuff, sorry 😂

I have curly hair with heterochromia (yes heterochromia on the hair exists) my hair is black with lightish brown strands, i wear glasses and cannot see a damn thing without them i have to get uncomfortably close to see someone's face, I have two genetically pointy ears that make look like an elf.

⚔️ — PERSONALITY : My personality is extremely loud and chaotic, my laugh is very loud plus it sounds like a villain who defeated the hero or a complete maniac, everything i say comes off in a loud tone. I am quite literally loud in everything i do EVEN IN WHISPERS SOMETIMES, I am very random and will absolutely try to make you laugh, i literally never shut up. I will most definitely say the most out of pocket things like "exotic cricket" i spend most of my time sleeping and I'm a very heavy sleeper, I have to wake up by myself because no one else can wake me up not even sounds or water people genuinely think i died. I have Aichmomania (obsession with sharp objects) and collect sharp swords, i am touch averse despite what others think, i mostly read romcom and mythology books not 100% a bookworm. i will find a pokemon that matches with you if you are my friend, most of my friends have been introverts that i adopted as friends.

That is admittedly a very far jump from the other matches, but I just feel like it would be a perfect opposites attract kind of scenario. He's quiet and HIGHLY introverted. I do feel like he needs a little light in his life, one that wouldn't cross his boundaries. I headcanon him to be touch repulsed, at least in case of people he doesn't know very well. You'd meet up in the inn, the cool wind of the night surrounding you as you talk his ears off. And, for the first time in a very long time, Xiao would feel at home. If you can break down his walls and survive living with an aries, then you'd have a sweet relationship full of mutual understanding.

Chance routinely holds competitions on the Dance Dance Revolution machine in the main cabin. Its a big thing between all the survivors, death before dishonor type.

007n7 is stupid good at it because they used to have the same machine in his college and he memorized near every song on the damn thing. He doesn't usually play, but when he does, Chance loves to bet all of his money on him. 007n7 usually haggles 20% out of the guy afterwards.

The last time 007n7 won a comp Elliot spent the entirety of his free time on the damn machine specifically to beat 007n7, only for him not to play in the bext comp. Elliot was livid.

Two Time is also pretty good at DDR, but they get weirdly intense about it so no one wants to play against them.

Noob is probably mid at it overall, but is a fucking beast on specific songs where he just falls into the beat. Even 007n7 has issues beating him when he's locked in.

Guest 1337 tried once, and decided it wasn't for him, but he's rather happy to act as a backup if theres not enough people playing. He's probably just content with everyone getting along for the night.

I think Builderman wouldn't be the type to play either, but he does mod the machines to add special modes or new songs just to keep the variety goin.

Shedletsky plays just for the memes, he's totally ass at it and will throw on purpose because he thinks its funny.
