Townhomes for Large Families | Sims 2 Apartment Lot Download

500 followers! Wow! Thank you to all of you who have given this page a follow. I'm glad that you are enjoying the homes and hope they are making your neighborhoods prettier and happier places. 😊

As a little gift I've put together my first official apartment lots: Mapleview Terrace built on a 5x3 lot, and Hydrangea Court built on a 4x3 lot. These lots are free of CC that is not Maxis made. The Season Pre-Order bonus swingset is included in the larger lot, but if you use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer you can opt not to install it if you don't want it.

These townhomes were built especially for your larger sim families. Each home comes with 3 bedrooms--the larger lot even has one with a 4th bedroom!

The down side is that this means they are on the more expensive end of things and they aren't even that fancy looking in my opinion! The Mapleview Terrace apartments come furnished and will cost $3590-$3822. The Hydrangea Court Apartments are unfurnished except for the kitchen and bathrooms and will cost $3874-$3884.

But, let's take a short tour and you can decide if they are worth it for you.

These apartment lots were meant to be a set. They are fairly simple and non-descript on the outside, and you can line multiple lots up for a whole community of cookie-cutter apartments. 🤣 Feel free to paint them different colors though if you wish.

I originally built the shell on the larger townhome lot shortly before Apartment life came out. The goal was to have a place to stick the Maxis families that came in the sim bin so that they would have access to a telephone and not be unreachable except for as "walk-bys".

Here's what they look like at the back. These apartments are nearly identical in floorplan layout, one has 3 units and the other only has 2.

Mapleview Terrace:

Hydrangea Court: Putting solar panels on the roofs can help off-set the cost of rent I discovered, thanks to the helpful members of a Sims 2 Facebook group. 😊 The other lot has them too, but they just didn't make it into the picture.

Let's take a look at the floorplans!

You might notice a slight theme to each home. But feel free to remove the furniture and redecorate if you want.

Here's what Hydrangea Court looks like. The layout is pretty much identical to Mapleview Terrace, but I did put nicer appliances in downstairs:

One more thing, The neighborhood view for the larger lot has the maple trees seeming to do a little "wave". It's just because I rotated them when placing them, but they should all be in a perfect row on the lot. :)

If you notice anything "off" about these apartments please let me know and I will try to fix the issue. If it's something that can only be accessed in build mode and the option is greyed out you can use this cheat and fix the thing: 'boolprop AptBaseLotSpecificToolsDisabled false' ...Just don't forget to turn it off by typing 'true' in place of 'false' when you're done!

I’ve run this home through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run it through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. This lot comes with a shiny custom thumbnail so it has even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄

This home uses 1 piece of CC, which is a Maxis pre-order bonus item from Seasons that you may already have in your game. It can easily be replaced or omitted if you don’t want it though.

The… man behind the counter has a strange look about him like some sort of monster… but he seems tired, as if worn down to the end of his rope.

You’re in a coffee shop, in a usually quiet part of the golden city that has recently gained a lot more foot traffic! You’re not sure why, after all, the only business this way is this coffee shop and it’s not like any other things of interest are nearby, all you know is that the Queen wants more development in this area because of some recent event she hasn’t elaborated much on. But who are you to question she who hath slain destruction himself?

There aren’t many people here, the barista seems almost in disbelief that ANYONE is. There’s a bit of an… antisocial attitude to him. But you feel like something about this situation is ENCOURAGING you to talk… though that may just be the sign put up in the window telling you to.

About the AU

Golden Cheese Cookie is not quite what she used to be. Though I’m not gonna go much into exactly everything that went down yet, y’all are gonna have to figure that out.

You are a citizen of the golden city and you have entered a coffee shop run by one singular barista, “Habanero Cheddar Cookie”, who is well… burning spice cookie. He doesn’t remember this, in fact, he doesn’t remember being anything more than a regular cookie.

Nero is a little bit of an out of character version of burning spice for AU related reasons. You can say pretty much anything to him. This is made for RP specifically! Though I will not reply if you break rules.

Mod posts will be listed as such.

You may occasionally get to talk to golden cheese herself, and occasionally will get posts detailing different parts of the AU like what Nero does when not at work.

Sometimes there will be art, not always.

The rules are

- Do not directly tell Nero what’s going on, or use any powers to directly save him, you can play some chatacter who knows more than him but try to engage within the narrative. Even if the character you are playing knows who he is and is trying to get him out remember… the queen is watching and you don’t want to end up like him.

- don’t be too sexual. You can be sexual but jokes only please we are not that kind of blog

- If you want you can interact with AU versions of characters including BS himself or GC- but these will be non canon interactions

Hello, dear fellow fans of TobiIzu <3 The event goes into the fourth round! Better late than never, ahem. Here are now the prompts and rules for the event in 2025. If any questions occure, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

The event runs from 24 February to 2 March. You can submit your work on ao3 to the TobiIzuWeek2025 collection, if you like. The Hashtag for the event is #TobiIzuWeek2025

You can participate in any form you like. Write Fanfics, draw something awesome, post headcanons, make edits. Whatever you like. Your work doesn’t have to be in English, I trust you to follow the rules ^^

Only new works please. If you have a yet unpublished WIP, that’s fine tho!  

Any work generated by any form of AI (ChatGBT, AI "art" and the like) is strikly forbidden.

Post your work wherever you want, but if you want it to be featured here, please make a Tumblr post with the work and/or the link to your work, tag this blog and use the hashtag for the event #TobiIzuWeek2025.

You can, of course, use the hashtag on other social media, too, but keep in mind, that I’m only on Bluesky and will only check it there as well (and retweet it with my priv acc, you can tag me there as @/Elenyafinwe.bsky.social).

In the post put in all the necessary tags that apply to your work and add warnings accordingly. Please also add the prompt you choose.

NSFW is allowed (just don’t post it fully on Tumblr), as well as any Dead Dove. Just tag it properly. Generally speaking: Any content is allowed that’s also allowed on ao3. It simply has to be tagged. However, any form of harrasment of other content creators over their content for the event is not allowed and will be banned from the event.

The main focus of your work has to be on Izuna and Tobirama. Other pairings are of course allowed.

You can do all prompts, some prompts or no prompts at all … or even more than one prompt per day, if you can manage that. If you don’t like the main prompt list, you can use the alternative prompts and/or mix both lists together. Whatever you like.

You can interpret the prompts as freely as you wish.

The main event takes place in the above mentioned week. But let’s be honest: If you find this blog after this and want to add something to the party feel free to do so! Late submissions will be accepted any time after the official end. However, I will not check the Hashtag forever, so better tag this blog.

Step 2: Write a quick response of at least 100 words (a classic drabble is 100 words, but whatever).

We won’t be counting, but the challenge here is to be concise, while having a clear link to the prompt you’re responding to. There is no upper limit, but remember the prompts get snatched pretty quick.

Fili/Kili or any fictional Dean/Aidan pairings, clearly mark your warnings etc.

Existing verses or brand new work are both fine.

Step 3: Refresh Tumblr and use the notes to check the last person that has reblogged this post with a response (IMPORTANT!)

Just ordinary reblogs to spread the word are ok (ignore those), but you’re looking specifically for the latest reblog that had a drabble added.

Step 4: Reblog from that person, adding your response. You also need to copy-paste the prompt list and REPLACE the one prompt you responded to with a brand new prompt (anything you like).

I.e. you claim one and you put one back. There are still 10 prompts.

Step 5: Format your post. Response text and updated prompts list MUST be hidden under the ‘Read more’ button.

Only 2 lines should be visible on the dashboard: 1) which prompt you’re claiming, pairing, rating, verse, possible warnings and 2) ‘Read more’.

Step 6: Tag your response: #Drabble Challenge 9 so that whoever wants to, can blacklist the whole event.

Next person:

Step 1: Find the latest reblog of this post with a response.

Step 2: Pick one of the prompts from the updated list (always find the latest reblog!)

Repeat Step 3, Step 4, Step 5, Step 6 etc. The list of prompts is forever evolving.

This event is meant to be snappy and fast, creating a caterpillar of reblogs, crawling all over your dashes.

How to resolve possible problems:

Two people writing responses at the same time for 2 different prompts from the same list. This is not a problem: So long as the second person responding finds the latest reblog, their prompt should still be available on the updated list. Only 1 prompt is replaced at a time.

Two people writing responses at the same time for the same prompt (AKA my prompt disappeared by now): Find the latest reblog, add your response and add your own prompt as number 11. From now on there are 11 prompts. However, this is meant to be snappy, so please don’t spend half a day writing 100 words…

Meanwhile, @linane-art will kick-start this, and provide the first example.

Online bank computer

This computer allows Sims to pay their bills online, as well as find a job and chat online - no more waiting for the newspaper or visitors!

No Forced Career Change at Level 10

Usually, if you reach Level 10 of any career, you only get to stay at Level 10 for a short time before the game forces you into a different career path at a lower level. This mod eliminates that and allows your sim to keep the job that they worked hard for.

Call Work

With this phone plugin you will have the option to call work and tell them you are sick and can't go to work. If you do that you get the day off and they can't fire you for staying at home. You can stay home as long as you like, just make the call every day.

Call Interview

This is a phone plugin for Superstar. It will give you the alternative "Give Interview" on the phones at home for Sims in the Superstar career track. Just call and give an interview, you will get paid and your fame will go up, it never goes down.

MOTIVES & SKILLS

Need Decay Crystal Mod

Turn this magic crystal ON, and need decay stops completely. You can still increase or decrease a need if you DO something, though. What this mod stops is the need DECAY. For example, if you work out on the exercise machine, your Energy and Hygiene will decrease, just as they always do when you use the exercise machine. But needs won't decay simply from time passing. It looks like a blue crystal on a gold base and can be found in the Decorative - Sculpture section of the catalog.

Learning Brings Fun Bookcase

Adult & teenage sims recognise that learning can bring fulfilment in the future, no matter how miserable they are. Increases cooking and mechanical skills.

Party Plant

Looks like a party plant. Maximises all motives for all Sims on the lot, except for Social, which is adjusted just enough to stop unhappiness. Perfect for making friends and having babies. No menu, just delete when you've had enough.

Party Plant (Visitors Only)

Same as Party Plant above, but acts on visitors only. Visitors are counted as anyone who does not live permanently on the lot, so this would act on NPC's and friends who visit.

Move-in Fern

This plant allows you to move Sims (including animals if you have Unleashed) into a family home as permanent household members.

This plant is buyable from your catalogue, and can be placed on any tile. But more importantly it can summon any Sim including NPCs to your lot at pre-set daily times, wearing your choice of clothing type. Should work with any EP.

Visitor Query

Choose a name from the menu, and get a dialog box with all their motive scores listed. NPCs, strays, your date downtown - anyone!

Visitor Enabler

When turned on from its menu, it gives all visiting neighbours the same powers as residents - cook from fridges, stay the night, use showers etc. Turn off from menu and visitors instantly revert to helplessness.

Zappers

Objects that get rid of certain objects and visitors from the lot. None of these kill the Sim or destroy the object permanently, they work by waiting until the thing or person shows up then deleting that particular instance. That means the same thing might show up again and be zapped again - until you remove the zapper.

Relationship Mods

No More Relationship Decay

When you make friends in The Sims, you have to keep up with them, because your relationship declines gradually over time. This mod stops that from happening, so you no longer need to maintain relationships.

I use Version 2: Eliminate Relationship Decay AND More Walk-Bys, which also means more people from your neighborhood will pass your lots.

Baby Gives Social

This mod allows your sims' social need to increase when interacting with a baby.

Flirt with and Compliment Friends

In the unmodded game, the Flirt interaction disappears when your sim's relationship with another sim is over 60, and Compliment/Admire disappears when the relationship is over 40. This mod changes that; Flirt and Compliment will still be available all the way up to 100.

Joke with Friends

In an unmodded, game, sims lose the ability to tell a joke to someone when their relationship goes over 70. So you can only tell jokes to acquaintances and casual friends. nThe Joke with Friends Mod lets you tell jokes all the way up to a relationship level of 100.

Families Are Friends Mod

In the unmodded game, families are created with a relationship of 20; this mod makes newly created families have a relationship of 50. This mod affects only NEWLY CREATED families, so families that were made before you installed it will not be changed.

Little House in the City | Ranch-Style Home | Sims 2 Lot Download

This rather basic ranch-style house started out as something I built rather quickly and didn’t put a lot of thought or effort into 8-9 years ago. Since I’m having so much fun updating lots lately I have completely rebuilt it and given it a good decorating--inside and out! The best part is that it is nearly CC-free--only 3 completely optional pieces are included. This home will set your sims back a little over $128K.

You might notice the exterior pictures are a little brighter and that the scenery in the background is a bit more blurry. I discovered how to make depth of field work in Reshade (Version 4.9.1 is what works for The Sims 2 as of 2022) and promptly went about making my own custom settings! I still have a lot to learn about this program, but I hope you enjoy the beginnings of what will hopefully be some prettier pictures of my lots. Please let me know what you think! :) Please also note: I am using default replacement textures for the Lupin flowers, and Spider Lily plants.

Laundry nook: The washer and dryer are one of 3 CC pieces on this lot. You do not need to include them when you install though (Please use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer to choose what you do and don’t want when you install this lot in your game). You are perfectly welcome to turn this nook into something else.

Garage: I have rarely decorated garages but feel bad that they are usually so empty in my game. Recently, I was looking at a different house that I’d built ages ago and saw that I had used the stainless steel counters that came with University in place of a work bench--*Perfection*! So now all my garages are getting stainless steel work bench instead of just a simple table. 🤭 Your sims have got to store their tools somewhere (or at least pretend to).

I’ve run this home through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run this lot through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. This lot comes with a shiny custom thumbnail so it has even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄

This home has only 3 pieces of CC, which you may already have in your game. These can easily be replaced or omitted if you don’t want them though.

Currently the only blog I have for writing is Re-Writing Cave Story. Also I am not open for commissions YET, but sometime in the future I will be! Also, just a heads up that my art might be uploaded poorly. I’ve tried everything I can to fix it, but every doodle I try to upload ends up looking really bad. hiii Wren here! so this is basically a fresh restart of @pinkhairandpokemon. I decided it would be fun to start at the beginning of their Unova arc this time around. they’re 18 here, and just starting the main story of pokemon black!

I just got kinda… unmotivated to run their old blog anymore?? so I decided it was time for a refresh. SUPER excited to rp as this version of them

this Blake is probably going to be more… standoffish? I guess? not all-out mean but they’re kind of bitchier in this arc of their story (tbf they deserve to be after the shit they went through-) so while they’ll typically be chill in normal interactions they might be like. be a bit more snarky. I’m always scared of being too mean when I rp so please let me know if I need to tone it down!! ;w;

Lloyd Hansen Writing Challenge

Welcome to the Lloyd Hansen Writing Challenge, hosted by the Lloyd Hansen server.

About 2 years ago, we got our first taste of Lloyd Hansen through Netflix’s trailers. From then on, we were hooked. To celebrate this anniversary, we invite writers to join our challenge and create their own Lloyd Hansen fics!

This challenge is 18+ ONLY. Minors are not allowed to engage in any way, shape, or form. It is open to everyone—not just members of our server, although we encourage you to join us if you haven’t already.

All fics will be about Lloyd Hansen. We do not allow incest (stepcest is permitted), underage, or scat play. Fics should be reader inserts* and as inclusive as possible. Any genre (dark, smut, angst, fluff) is allowed. *For any other specifications or adjustments, reach out to one of the mods or send an ask. This is not a strict requirement.

There is no word count requirement. However, you must use a “read more” break, no matter the length. Use appropriate warnings.

The deadline for the challenge is July 22nd, 2024. This is not a strict deadline at all!

You will choose a dialogue that the character has said in the film and transform it from the original context. Certain prompts are open to changing as long as you note that somewhere. Once you’ve chosen a prompt and sent us an ask with it, it will be crossed off from the list. Prompts are on a first-come, first-serve basis! You can select up to 5 prompts.

We won’t be counting, but the challenge here is to be concise, while having a clear link to the prompt you’re responding to. There is no upper limit, but remember the prompts get snatched pretty quick.

Fili/Kili or any fictional Dean/Aidan pairings, clearly mark your warnings etc.

Existing verses or brand new work are both fine.

Step 3: Refresh Tumblr and use the notes to check the last person that has reblogged this post with a response (IMPORTANT!)

Just ordinary reblogs to spread the word are ok (ignore those), but you’re looking specifically for the latest reblog that had a drabble added.

Step 4: Reblog from that person, adding your response. You also need to copy-paste the prompt list and REPLACE the one prompt you responded to with a brand new prompt (anything you like).

I.e. you claim one and you put one back. There are still 10 prompts.

Step 5: Format your post. Response text and updated prompts list MUST be hidden under the ‘Read more’ button.

Only 2 lines should be visible on the dashboard: 1) which prompt you’re claiming, pairing, rating, verse, possible warnings and 2) ‘Read more’.

Step 6: Tag your response: #Drabble Challenge 8 so that whoever wants to, can blacklist the whole event.

How to resolve possible problems:
