She was the only one who was nice to him in Paradise, and she killed herself in his hands

Can we talk about how in Rusty Lake Hotel, Mr. Owl invites Mr. Deer, Mr. Boar, Ms. Pheasant, Mr. Rabbit, and Mrs. Pigeon to the hotel and has them systematically murdered to eat.

And then in Rusty Lake Paradise, we find out that Jakob Eilander, who is ritualistically murdered by his family, is Mr. Owl.

We also find out that his father is Mr. Deer, his brother David is Mr. Rabbit, his sister Elizabeth is Ms. Pheasant, his uncle Gerard is Mr. Boar, and is grandmother Margaret is Mrs. Pigeon.

Interesting that those are the people he chose to murder, eat, and keep their skulls as trophies.

On the left side is Ms Pheasant and on her right is Elizabeth Eilander, I really like their designs. For this drawing I used watercolor and I must admit that it was not that difficult so I will probably use this technique more often.

In all, my thoughts on this one are holy fuck. Very, very well done, and congrats to the boys on 50 longforms

Theory: Laura will be the next lady of the lake and Dale will be the next ruler. I think every lady of the lake is a person who was wronged by the ruler in one way or another and the ruler is now haunted by their actions towards them

Hear me out, the first lady of the lake was Caroline Eilander, and the 'ruler' of the lake (as far as we know) was Nicholas Eilander, Caroline's husband who burned her at the stake after she saved Jakob. Caroline's corrupted soul then makes Paradise go through the 10 Plagues of Egypt (or atleast lets it happen) and makes sure Nicholas and the rest of the family can't reach her memories. She was wronged by Nicholas, and she makes him pay.

Elizabeth Eilander is the next lady of the lake (the lady of the lake wears the same dress as Ms. Pheasant, Elizabeth's animal form) and was the sister of Jakob (who would become Mr. Owl). Jakob was able to escape Paradise when he was a child with Caroline's help but Elizabeth was still trapped. When Jakob returns to Paradise, Elizabeth is the most willing to help Jakob and treats him like a brother instead of a servant, unlike the rest of the family. Jakob feels guilty for being the one to escape and not her, and that guilt haunts him.

And then comes Dale and Laura. It seems like the games have been propping Dale as the next ruler of the lake pretty heavily, but Laura I'd also a contender for that position. If my theory is correct, Dale will in fact become the ruler and Laura will become the lady of the lake. Dale never got justice for Laura and never truly solved her 'murder', his plan ever since he first got Case 23. Now that he's stuck in this lake business, I doubt he'd have any way to tell people the truth about Laura's cause of death. Who would believe him when he says he saw bird people and cubes that held memories?
