Had my brother over while he was waiting for my mom to finish hanging out at a local bar type deal and my brother reminded me of all the random stories I used to write when I was a teenager (he remembered some I even forgot and it was nice to share the memories again). He helped me with writing a lot and would usually give me lore info most of the time. I told him I was rewriting the Pokemon/Naruto story and he was happy to hear it and we talked over ideas and lore in general for awhile.

But like then he told me that because of my story he was inspired to write something loosely based off my ideas of legendary Pokemon being Gods and using humans as vessels and I was floored. I didn't realize I inspired him. It was such a nice warm feeling knowing I contributed to him writing too. ;-; <3

The funniest part of this new event is the fact I can't find out what's going on it from spoilers. All context is lost in the wave of Hot Eel Mom. I love her, all hail Georgina, mother of This and That, but where is the context? What *is* the event?

to be fair, we're still in the intro part, so not much has actually happened yet! Jade and Floyd were supposed to go to their mom's friend's wedding to help with the ancient merfolk marriage custom of

but Floyd last-minute changed his mind (on account of being Floyd) and Azul was like "I'm not going if your mom is going to be there". at which point Jade realized he'd just been handed a golden opportunity to invite the absolute funniest group of people he could think of.

anyway tl;dr Jade manipulates a bunch of nerds into joining him to heckle/throw bricks at/try to drown a couple of randos in the name of love, what could possibly go wrong

To me there’s like a line between the Bad Kids who were always themselves extremely authentically and that fucked them up socially (Riz, Adaine, Gorgug) and the Bad Kids who spent a good portion of their lives playing a part and that fucked them up mentally (Fabian, Kristen, Fig)

#that’s why the latter three blended in so well to the popular kid landscape: they’re so used to playing a part #meanwhile riz adaine and gorgug are very unused to being popular and it’s a very big change for them #gorgug to an extent also has to deal with repressing his rage so he does get it a bit #however he doesn’t have to deal with his entire identity and personality for others like the other three #what fucks me up is that fabian and fig are still to some extent playing a part even if it’s changed over the years #a good part of Kristen’s arc is her being authentically herself and the consequences that brought #so she kinda gets that nice reprieve that I feel like the other two don’t get as much #and yeah the two of them have the bad kids and fig has ayda and they can drop the act around them #but they do still have to play a part #(and if you’ll allow me to be insane over fabian for a minute) the fact that outside of the party fabian doesn’t really have anyone he feels #comfortable being himself around is one of the tragedies of his character considering he’s still trying to be perfect for everyone else #even fig is learning to be her authentic self with people outside of her friends and gf and fabian just doesn’t get that #anyways. rant over. just will always be thinking about Them #autism (mads) speaks #fantasy high #the bad kids #fabian aramais seacaster #riz gukgak #adaine abernant #gorgug thistlespring #kristen applebees #fig faeth #d20 fantasy high #dimension 20 fantasy high

They trusted each other with everything once.#I think it is easy to hear the anger in JC's voice and consider him the aggressor in this but listen to the words not the tone.#It is anger yes - but it is an anger born out of love.#Jiang Cheng wanted him to live - damn the rest of the world to hell if that's what it took. And Wei Wuxian chose strangers over him.#Sometimes two people who once flourished together become each other's worst wounds.#A goodbye to someone you once would have done anything for is a wound you don't easily recover from.#Jiang Cheng could have stood at Wei Wuxian's side and joined him. Consider though; as a sect leader his life is not his own anymore.#JC cannot just abandon the fledgling New Yunmeng Jiang without also dooming people.#And that is the lynch pin of it all. hey there!! i'd been checking this blog for a while, and I really wanted to say you're a great source of inspiration haha! I really love your dog characters and your lore! The amount of research and dedication is really amazing!! about ludovica's gf, do you mind if I come in with my vision as well? I think she'd be a really fluffy dog, maybe with curly hair. so my mind went to the portuguese water dog; but then i thought of two versions: long hair and short hair. so i drew both (tried my best to make her look like a lady and not a grandpa haha)

#I'm so sorry this ask is almost a year old at this point and I'm only now responding to it auh #but I keep thinking about this version of the mystery girlfriend habitually I think this is the first headcanon design anyone came up with #I absolutely adore that she's a fluffy curly dog it's such a bold and distinct choice #I don't have any ocs with this specific fur type so it would be a new and interesting challenge trying to get used to drawing her #and I totally get the struggle about the unintentional grandpa look heh it's the same thing with wirehaired dogs #the portuguese water dog is a fitting breed to pick considering the setting imo #I previously tried to make a lagotto romagnolo version of her but the curly face fur was really muddling her expressions #the white eyebrows are a clever move they're pretty and make her face so much more readable than a solid black would #the white streaks on her ears are a wonderful detail too they kind of remind me of frankenstein's bride haha #and I appreciate the fact you drew her in a period accurate dress! the rosy pink goes really nicely with her stark black and white fur #the sketches are so sweet their chemistry comes through so clearly #thank you so much for putting this much thought and effort into her! again I'm sorry I kept you waiting #I truly hope you didn't think I disliked your concept although I wouldn't blame you at all if that's the impression you got #I think I have another ask of yours somewhere in my inbox I'll try to find it #gift art #pouletpourrisoldblog #Ludovica #own characters #I'll come back to give the gf her own tag once I've decided on the name
