finally made the large orange mushrooms. originally i wanted them to have more of a bell/cone shape but i couldnt get it right with the blob foliage placer so i just copied and pasted code from the large red mushroom json file (hence the same shape) and changed some things
currently they spawn in "wet" biomes (what its called in the code, its just swamps/jungles and their variants). this is because the infection will be stronger in more tropical biomes.
im not sure if i'll want them to spawn in the wild in the first main non-test build because of logistis issues. originally my idea was that the infection would be started off by the player discovering an abandoned greenhouse structure, and the infection later spawning the orange mushrooms, which would further help to spread the infection. but if they spawn in the wild then the infection would spread without the player starting it off. but i'll figure that out later

FINALLY got back to working on my mod. started on a mushroom fungus tree thing and ended up having to go back and change/add a lot of stuff and it kinda broke the block models/textures. was it worth it? probably not. can i revert it? no. ive tried
anyway here are some textures that i havent shown anyone yet

i also imported the sporeling into the mod a WHILE ago but never showed it
ill probably make another devlog video once i finish some of the issues/finish the mushroom fungus tree thing and add the new wood(?) type and post it on my yt channel (Moth500) and link to it on my art blog (@Moth5000)
ill also probably post devlogs with more stuff rather than a lot of text on my sideblog so look out for that. consider this a secret bonus devlog

accidentally made a mushroom that crashed the game when you bonemeal. turns out the problem was caused by a space instead of _ in the line that registers the key

finally fixed the datagen and custom json. turns out all i needed to do was replace the json file in the generated main folder. who couldve known
ANYWAY the moldy grass texture is fixed, and im working on implementing the fungal planks texture. which is proving to be strangely difficult.
