Oscar didn’t even try to hide his grin as she launched into her rapid series of clarifications, hands moving animatedly as if to ward off any misinterpretation. “So,” he said, counting on his fingers, “you want honesty, conversation, sleep, modesty, some light undressing—but only in the most practical sense—and then a strategic retreat to the bath chamber. Understood.” He looked deeply solemn for a beat before adding, “You are the most delightfully specific person I’ve ever been married to.”
He leaned back slightly, clearly enjoying the conversation more than most royal banquets. “You can talk to me as much as you like. I can sleep through council droning about tax reform—I promise your voice is far more welcome.” Then with a dramatic pause, he added, “Though if you go past two hours, I do reserve the right to pretend I’ve fainted from exhaustion. It’s in the marital fine print, I’m sure.”
When she asked about the breeches, Oscar let out a soft chuckle. “Yes, they cover my legs. I’m not about to scandalise you with bare ankles.” His eyes twinkled. “you already survived a full night pressed against me, but I'll respect your wishes" he replied, genuine with all his affection. Then with a slight tilt of his head, he added, “And, long sleeves or short, you’ll still be the most radiant thing in that bed. Especially once you surround yourself with half the palace library.”
As the last of their dinner was cleared away and the soft hum of the evening quieted, Oscar rose from his seat and offered Eleanor his hand. “Come on,” he said with a lightness that didn’t push. “Let’s call that our grand banquet for the night.”
He guided her back through the dim corridors of the palace toward their chambers, their steps slow and unhurried. Once inside, he gently turned her by the waist, his hands steady but unintrusive as he found the fastenings of her dress. “Just enough to give you a head start,” he murmured, loosening the ties and buttons with practiced care, careful not to pull or tug. “The rest is yours.”
With that, he stepped away, giving her the space she’d asked for. Oscar disappeared into the adjoining room, and when he returned a few minutes later, it was with the sleeves and weight of the day shed. He wore only his sleep breeches, the hearth casting a warm glow against his bare chest, and a wry little smile played at his lips.
"It's ridiculous to think marriages last so long without honesty." She was very tempted to lie to him through this, but she's not even sure she would have even lasted that long. Either he would have spotted it early or she would just blurt out everything she was concealing from him. Honesty helped the sex feel far better than she had anticipated. "Are you going to be alright if I keep you up late with questions and conversation?" She decided to ask, because she is sure the second they're laying down it will be nothing but talk from her.
Eleanor was not sure how to react when he mentioned sleeping shirtless. She did enjoy the view and it was a rather nice feeling laying against his chest the past night. It still all was quite an adjustment and a thing to get used to. "That's fine." She could understand his reasons and felt he wouldn't have said it if they were not genuine. "The breeches...they cover your legs, correct? I know I probably sound like a nun right now...this all is just a lot to me still." Even thought she has seen him fully nude, and him the same for her. "I wear night gowns, obviously." She felt the need to say even if that was likely a given. "I go back and forth with my shorter sleeve ones and my long sleeve ones." She was planning to wear her long sleeved ones for tonight, to try and make up for last night.
"Oh but I do want you to undress me, if you do not mind." Eleanor was suddenly quick to say without hesitation. "It is really nice having another pair of hands in the bedroom to assist with getting all of these things untied and unbuttoned without having to call for someone." There were some conveniences she was finding with this arrangement that she was surprised no one had brought up to her before. "Wait, to clarify, I'd like you to only untie and unbutton anything I cannot reach well, I'd still like to step out into the bathroom to change." That sounded reasonable, didn't it? Maybe she could call for her help to assist her, but it would be so much quicker and easier to have him help for her.

redacted characters working in tescos
born from discord… this works for any large supermarket really. this is so long and for what
vincent: he works at self checkouts and gets a lot of enjoyment from iding old ladies to make them feel young again. talks too much and takes forever to help people but he’s pretty so you don’t get mad
lovely: maintenance team. always gets called down to fix the perpetually broken self checkout system but they’re starting to suspect it’s not an accident anymore
sam: he works in the warehouse . registered first aider except he’s never on the shop floor so he never does anything . somehow on really good terms with all of the delivery drivers. is starting to get really freaked out by that one security guard who keeps wandering around in the back
darlin: security guard except they never really do the job properly… like they’re skulking around dark corridors and corners looking for “threats” and david is like can you please just chase after that shoplifter
david: head security guard he likes to stand at the front desk by the doors and just cross his arms and scowl. it’s working spectacularly on deterring crime
angel: works at the customer service front desk and LOVES it. absolutely refuses to be antagonised they’re so 😁😁 even at the rudest of customers. another person who talks too much to be doing a good job. gossips to the customers about store goings-on. keeps trying to engage the grumpy security guard by their desk in conversation with varying levels of success
asher: yeah he’s another security guard what do you expect. but he’s constantly on the move he’s strolling about the store like he owns the place chatting up all the workers and the customers. everyone knows him and loves him but if you even think about shoplifting anything or starting a fight with a worker he’s right behind you “what are you doing there buddy 😆”
babe: shelf-stacker but not in a boring way. genuinely a monster at packing out it is insane. their aisles are so neat and tidy and they’re so fast. that one worker who knows exactly where everything is it’s like they live in the place. so good at their job and isn’t distracted by anything. except maybe one person.
milo: security guard who wants to have the same easygoing respect that asher gets but is far too easily antagonised by kids to earn. saturday afternoons are the worst when all the kids are off of school they come into the store just to piss him off because it’s so easy “now you listen here you little…”
sweetheart: they work in the phone shop! they’re kind of intimidating to talk to but they will help you and only judge you a little bit for not knowing technology. everyone would rather talk to them than the other worker (marcus). has formed an alliance with the kids that come in on saturdays “i’m going to give you this old phone and tell that guard that you’re stealing it, i’ll let you keep it if you make him trip when he’s chasing you”
gavin: slutting it out on the tills. i’m deadly serious he will flirt with everyone who passes through. “do you have a clubcard” has never sounded so sultry before. he’s actually decent at his job but recently he’s been told off several times for getting distracted staring at a certain worker who seems to just be doing everything… maybe it’s time he got trained in other departments
freelancer: multiskiller 🤩 literally another one who seems like they’ve been there forever and just knows how to do everything. they’ve stacked shelves, packed dotcom orders, worked checkouts… freelancer likes the variety and getting to know people in every department
damien: also at the customer service desk AGAINST HIS WISHES and in complete contrast to angel he absolutely hates it and you can so tell. management put him there because he’s so dedicated to the job and well organised and he SEEMS like he would be good at it… but every day damien’s patience is tested to the max. it’s so obvious when a customer is pissing him off. will SNATCH an item out of your hand if you are trying to return it. “what do you mean you didn’t bring your receipt 😑😐”
huxley: works in produce and loves it! super good at lifting all the heavy crates of vegetables. talks to all the loose fruit and vegetables he gets a few weird looks but it is cute. says hey to EVERYONE on his way in especially that one guy at the front desk who always looks like he’s about to pop a vein. no one knows when or why those two starting taking their breaks together but it is certainly a cute sight.
lasko: he works in bakery!!! he used to work on the shop floor but it was too stressful so the nice people from bakery kind of adopted him. likes the routine of making things and then packaging them up. plus minimal customer interaction = he just daydreams for a lot of his shift. although sometimes customers manage to get a hold of him to ask him something and he completely blue-screens. he’s trying his best.
lasko’s listener: for some reason i see them in dairy section in like the fridges? one time they got trapped BRIEFLY in the warehouse fridge with a certain bakery worker. they huddled together for warmth. #sorrynotsorry
kody: petrol station. no one in the main store wants to look at him
guy: delivery driver of course! used to work as a shelf stacker but got a warning for “checking for you in the back ☺️” (sitting in the back on his phone) he was so hopeless when he first got the driver job and got lost all the time but now he’s pretty dependable. will flaunt his little reflective jacket constantly. will also constantly flirt with the hot person working dispatch
honey: the aforementioned hot person working dispatch aka who loads all the delivery trays onto the vans. they really just wanted a job where they could stick their earphones in, do manual labour and not talk to anyone alas this infuriating delivery driver won’t stop bothering them. they’re making out in the back as we speak.
geordi: another shelf-stacker! like lasko, he gets super nervous when people ask him questions on where things are, but he can handle it. usually. more than once has sent someone in the wrong direction and tortured himself over it for the rest of the day. gets a really cute concentrating face when he’s in the zone working so please don’t interrupt him!!!
cutie: works in the clothing section! they look good even in their uniform so you feel kind of nervous when they’re just staring at you picking out some clothes. offers unsolicited opinions but they’re always really helpful so it’s fine. struts about with that clothing rail like it’s their god-given birthright
quinn: cleaner who always gets stuck doing the toilets. takes too many vape breaks

SIMS 4 - JULY 2024 GAME UPDATE
UPDATE 29JUL24
All of my aspirations appear compatible with the July 2024 game update 😀 , except for the child multiskill Growing Up Boss. 😔
Please do not continue to use the child aspiration as it causes the multiskill aspiration category to disappear in game, even after I've updated it. This one may take some time.

THE AARONS 2023 - Best TV Show
While I do highly recommend all the shows listed here, I don’t expect you to watch that much TV if you don’t want to. We’re The Aarons, not The Marvels. Here are The Aarons for Best TV Show:
Tumblr media
#10. My Adventures with Superman (Season 1) - Adult Swim
Tumblr media
As James Gunn steels himself for Superman’s big-screen revival, he would be remiss not to take notes from the character’s recent small-screen success. Alongside the still-strong Superman & Lois, the new Adult Swim show confirms the key to the character’s appeal is his good-natured boyish charm. Adventures bolsters this tenderness with pretty animation and a storytelling focus on the young hero’s budding relationships with Lois Lane & Jimmy Olsen. The series stands out with a fresh-spin on its famous rogues gallery, including tantalizing teases of an imminent alien invasion, but it’s this spot-on romantic characterization that will sweep viewers off their feet and up, up, and away.
Tumblr media
#9. Star Trek: Picard (Season 3) - Paramount+
Tumblr media
The final installment of the Star Trek spin-off boldly goes where it has never gone before: onto a ‘Best of TV’ list. It only took a complete creative overhaul and the return of the entire Next Generation crew to make it so. Functioning as a mulligan for both that cast’s previous send-off and the first two seasons, Picard’s third outing put the long-standing chemistry of its venerable characters front and center. In between all the nostalgic spaceships and evolving relationships, the show wove a madcap mystery out of surprising pieces from the franchise’s extensive lore. As unbelievable as it sounds, that adaptable energy made Picard one of the bright spots of TV last year (and there are four lights.)
Tumblr media
#8. I’m a Virgo (Season 1) - Amazon Prime
Tumblr media
Sorry to Bother You filmmaker Boots Riley made another welcome addition to his idiosyncratic output with I’m a Virgo. If the director’s involvement wasn’t enough of a signal to watch, the premise is even more intriguing: the coming-of-age of a 13-foot-tall Black teenager named Cootie in an absurdist version of Oakland policed by a fanatic billionaire superhero. An awe-inspiring mix of puppetry, prop design, and perspective is used to bring this giant protagonist to life. It’s a tall tale, but not one without real-world relevance. Riley uses the towering position afforded him to champion racial and economic equality; the strangest thing about the surreal show ends up being that Amazon of all places signed off on it.
Tumblr media
#7. Barry (Season 4) - HBO
Tumblr media
Last year’s Aarons noted that Barry was gunning for a place in television’s greatest works. With a fantastic final season, it hit its target. The culminating episodes consolidated directorial duties in the multiskilled Bill Hader while bifurcating their storyline with a dramatic eight-year time-skip. In the first half, Barry stages a dazzling prison break; the second half makes it clear that the repercussions of one’s actions are far harder to escape from. This complexity further complicated a dark comedy that has always been difficult to define. Though the series got a lot bleaker as it went on, its status as a showbiz satire returned with a vengeance during the final curtain call. Without shying away from the fallout of its violence, Barry still manages to get the last laugh.
Tumblr media
#6. The Last of Us (Season 1) - HBO
Tumblr media
The Last of Us has been one of the greatest experiences in video games for a decade now; with the first-rate television adaptation, non-gamers now have no excuse to be left behind. The post-apocalyptic road-trip, shepherded by Chernobyl’s Craig Mazin and game creator Neil Druckmann, upgrades the original’s already-impressive production design with the ample resources afforded by HBO. Players will recognize, yet still recoil from, the show’s unsettling set-pieces, but it’s the small deviations from the source material where everything truly clicks into place. Taking advantage of the medium to enrich its world-building and side characters ensured the story held lasting intrigue for new and old fans alike.
Tumblr media
#5. Reservation Dogs (Season 3) - FX
Tumblr media
The news that Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi’s comedy would end with its third season was met with a lot of reservation since the series remained as brilliant as always. However, the decision secured the show’s ability to go out as one of the top dogs of TV. The final season, like the heartful series as a whole, advocated for embracing one’s community. It embodied this theme by entwining the advancing arcs of its young cast with that of its eccentric elder characters. These mirrored storylines fostered an unforgettable forum for processing grief, celebrating joy, and passing along wisdom between generations. As made explicit by the series finale, Reservation Dogs’ ending should not be viewed as a time of mourning but of happiness for all the life it had.
Tumblr media
#4. Mrs. Davis (Miniseries) - Peacock
Tumblr media
One of Peacock’s best shots at becoming a competitive streaming service lies in the defiance of an algorithm. Hailing from Watchmen’s Damon Lindelof, the bizarre Mrs. Davis sends devout nun Sister Simone on a quest for the Holy Grail as a last ditch effort to rid the world of an omnipresent artificial intelligence. The miniseries is recommended if you like ambitious sci-fi, spiritual journeys, unpredictable plot-twists, magic tricks, Super Bowl commercials, or chicken wings. The sheer absurdity of its various plot threads may seem at times like a lot of horsing around, but those who hold faith in the show’s ability to bring all those listed things together for a thoughtful conclusion will be richly rewarded.
Tumblr media
#3. Succession (Season 4) - HBO
Tumblr media
The popular drama effortlessly rose through the ranks of the Aarons following a full series binge-watch this past year. Considering the nature of the premise, the final season, in which each character suddenly scrambles to enact their ultimate bid for power, was primed from the start to take over as its best. Unlike previous HBO hit Game of Thrones, it succeeded. As always, this was in no small part due to the sharp-tongued transactions between its talented ensemble. The richness of the writing lays bear the tragedy of its characters as they negotiate large acquisitions and influence Presidential elections without ever seeing the strings that are pulling on them. Luckily it’s all overseen with acerbic wit by creator Jesse Armstrong; a show with people this pathetic had no business also being this funny.
Tumblr media
#2. The Great (Season 3) - Hulu
Tumblr media
Although it’s not his Favourite, The Great is the crowning achievement of writer Tony McNamara’s career. The third season of the risqué royal dramedy was as inaccurate as ever with the history of Catherine II & Peter III of Russia and no less on point with its scintillating dialogue. Some peculiar highs and precipitate lows in the duo’s tumultuous relationship gave stars Elle Fanning and Nicholas Holt equal opportunities to command viewers’ attention with their disarming performances. The progression of their marriage gave rise to some oddly emotional moments for the largely irreverent series. Those events are yet another example of the series playing fast and loose with the actual facts, but what is irrefutable is that The Great absolutely ruled.
Tumblr media
AND THE BEST TV SHOW OF 2023 IS....
#1. Poker Face (Season 1) - Peacock
Tumblr media
No lie: Poker Face was the best television of last year. One should have suspected as much from the start given the involvement of Rian Johnson; the mysteries here are every bit as sharp as Knives Out. Face has unique features for both a streaming series and detective show: its case-of-the-week episodes follow a howcatchem format instead of the more common whodunit. This formula folds each installment into an outstanding showcase for first-class actors, writers, and directors, including Russian Doll’s Natasha Lyonne fulfilling all three roles. Her charismatic character Charlie Cale anchors each story in perceptive humanity; that more than enough motive to be all-in on Poker.

OK SO IVE HAD EXAM PREP SO IVE BEEN STEWING THIS IN MY MIND BUT LIKE. EVE!! COURIER SIX!!!
ok so eve. fnv oc. i have never rly had a solid idea of an fnv protag in my mind like generally they were always the same vague shape of a person with maybe like. slightly different hair lol and then on my last playthru idk like smth clicked and i love fnv's vague sort of allusions to shit and also like i just looked i do not remember on my oc page putting this down
"so, i'm out in new reno right, and there's like this huge guy coming at me. and y'know me i start going at him. he's in my way, y'know? except he raises his fist, doesn't play the game. so i'm like nah nah c'maaaaahn i'm just a little girl. i'm just a little girl! it's my birthday, man, c'mon!!! i'm a little birthday girl! and fucking-and fucking it worked. it fucking worked. every time, man, every time." LMAO
but like yeah so i never hammered out any particular details until the last time and actually noting down specific phrases and stuff plus referring to the random bg notes by the wiki yknow and its like,
so eve is from vault 11, and the survivor of it at the end. after surviving an initial lottery system to then end up fighting other people in the vault, some who were family or otherwise, once eve takes out the other four, she just leaves the mojave for a long ass time. kind of tying in that she just happened to be given the chip, begrudgingly bringing her back, eve is kind of multiskilled, jack of all trades pre-benny incident, and a lot of it is working backwards/forwards in getting back to where she was. a lot of her work with the chip is literally just delivering it PLEASE do not talk to me dont even look at me. i am a mailman on a mission. i hate this stupid lil package.
she's also more mad about being shot in the head with a double tap - and surviving - than literally all the other bullshit she survived as well. like you didnt even do a good JOB, benny!!!!
outside of the mojave she was like a bodyguard for hire and worked on caravans as guards and gambled, drank, did an awful lot of walking. picked up a bits and pieces of language to be somewhat able to talk. really fascinated by knowledge, as she didnt get that chance due to the vault 11 meltdown. still doesn't really sleep. good fucking shot. aware of the legion and NCR prior to the events of the game, prefers to give the brotherhood a wide berth, but ultimately avoided most interaction with them - NCR made the most use of guns for hire at the very least. arguably.
in the vault, with all the fighting, and then finding out the reality of what happened if they said no, definitely contributed to eve being a lil more than disillusioned too. was mute for quite some time during and then following the vault, really only started talking consistently again a few months prior to goodsprings, and prefers to sign. recovering addict. even she knows its weird of her to like. get involved in shit going on in like primm and novac when really she just wants to drop the chip off and go back to like. new reno. hell she's willing to cross to the commonwealth. its like a vagued out interest dragging her in.
honestly uncomfortable around computers just because of the last message from the vault, and the video that played out. like fully expects some vault tec bullshit to come back after her. bobble heads are her enemy, and if house didnt want them, she'd be using them for target practice.
she's a lil angry thing repressed ball of mentats and metal. she flirted with her own brain. and that's okay. luckiest sonofabitch in the mojave.

Grilling Goals and Growth: How McDonald’s Refines Employee Potential
An inside perspective on the way global behemoth McDonald's overhauled its appraisal methods to boost productivity, morale, and long-term business success.
Getting to Know McDonald's Heritage and Its Requirement for More Effective Performance Strategies
Established in 1940 in San Bernardino, California, McDonald's has evolved from a small local eatery to the world's top fast-food chain. With more than 375,000 staff and revenue reaching \\$24.62 billion by 2017, the brand has been able to spread across continents with thousands of franchises. However, like any large organization, McDonald's has experienced its share of issues in effectively managing employee performance to meet global demand and stringent standards of service.
Why Performance Management Became a Priority at McDonald's
Performance management is not merely an HR buzzword. It is a consistent process that maintains employees achieving organizational objectives regularly and efficiently. In the case of McDonald's, performance management is about assessing how effective individuals and teams are in supporting its operations around the world, while making their development align with its long-term strategic goals. The process assists in creating openness, enforces expectations, and supports individual and organizational growth.
In due course, McDonald's came to recognize the need to incorporate formal performance appraisal systems so that they can continue with operational excellence. This realization was because efficiently managed performance systems not only enhance organizational productivity but also enhance employee retention and morale levels, as well as promote clear communication at all levels.
The Performance Complexities That Challenged McDonald's Operations
Though widely acclaimed all over the world, McDonald's performance management also had some deficits in the past. The firm did not have a well-defined strategic direction within its appraisal system, which made performance monitoring within various franchises and departments inconsistent. With no systematic way of monitoring employees' contribution, the management was unable to assess and improve workforce productivity.
Equally concerning was the absence of timely and meaningful feedback. Employees rarely received recognition or constructive criticism, which negatively impacted motivation levels. Managers themselves had limited training in providing appraisals or delivering performance reviews, causing disconnects between leadership expectations and employee output.
Recognition and reward were also not systemically implemented, causing demoralized employee spirits. Without structured processes to reward hard work or exceptional performance, most employees felt underappreciated. Further, communication deficits also destroyed collaboration, preventing McDonald's from extracting maximum profitability via an engaged workforce. These challenges ultimately led McDonald's to redesign its performance management process, taking advantage of contemporary appraisal techniques to re-link employee engagement with business objectives.
Embracing a Contemporary Mix of Performance Appraisal Techniques
McDonald's embarked on streamlining its performance management practice by integrating traditional and contemporary methods of appraisal. Across the world, companies such as Nestlé and Woolworths had already gained from more recent methods such as Management by Objectives and 360-degree appraisals. McDonald's took cues from such models to create a tailor-made approach specific to its multiskilled workforce.
The corporation used two main techniques to measure employee performance: the Graphical Rating Scale and the 360-Degree Feedback system. Both of these systems allowed for a more comprehensive observation of individual contribution, as well as more direct avenues for the determination of strengths, development needs, and training requirements.
How McDonald's Brought the Graphical Rating Scale into Action
The Graphical Rating Scale worked well for McDonald's by enabling managers to gauge employees on diverse characteristics like communication, personal effectiveness, work quality, and dependability. Department heads graded teammates on these points, which streamlined the process of determining areas needing additional development or training. Having a structured procedure ensured that evaluations were consistent, quantifiable, and transparent, which was much better than prior informal evaluations.
Why 360-Degree Feedback Transformed McDonald's Appraisal Culture
To further strengthen its evaluation system, McDonald's adopted the 360-degree feedback approach. As opposed to earlier systems in which supervisors alone provided input, the approach obtained input from peers, subordinates, and even external partners such as customers and suppliers. Multi-source feedback of this kind offered a broader picture of each employee's performance.
This collaborative model empowered employees to own their career growth, in addition to cultivating a culture of open communication and ongoing improvement. Feedback from managers was based on collective input, which then translated into individualized development plans. The 360-degree system didn't merely measure individual performance; it also enhanced personal and team development, eventually leading to more effective managers across the organization.
Implementing the 360-Degree System: A Strategic Shift
Rolling out the 360-degree system at McDonald's was a systematic approach. It started with identifying key business competencies, then piloting the appraisal process and checking results on a regular basis. Feedback was collected from different sources — managers, peers, subordinates, and customers — and utilized as the basis for developmental feedback discussions.
This considerate blend of self-evaluation, peer feedback, and management guidance rendered the system comprehensive as well as empowering. Employees were more involved since their voices and inputs were heard, and management acquired better knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of employees.
The Strategic Reasons Behind McDonald's Appraisal Overhaul
Through redesigning its performance management process, McDonald's created real-value improvements for staff and business both. Staff saw clearer expectations from management and time to evaluate themselves and develop positively, eventually enjoying higher job satisfaction. Managers themselves were served with stable procedures reducing disputes and automating the analysis of tasks' performance. Higher productivity, greater retention, and minimized communication roadblocks for the business in whole resulted from redesigned processes.
In addition, by methodically identifying top performers with both monetary and non-monetary benefits, McDonald's was able to effectively enhance employee morale and motivation. Appraisals were also primary points of data for promotion, compensation increases, and career development opportunities decisions, further solidifying the alignment of individual dreams with business goals.
Final Thoughts: A Stronger, More Motivated McDonald's Workforce
McDonald's experience in improving its performance management process highlights the strength of contemporary appraisal systems in determining organizational success. Through an awareness of the loopholes in its previous practices and adopting tools such as the Graphical Rating Scale and 360-degree feedback, the company was able to create a workplace culture based on fairness, communication, and ongoing improvement.
Today, McDonald's is better positioned to develop talent, satisfy employee expectations, and maintain its position as a global fast-food leader — all through the strategic use of performance management best practices.
