Random murder drone thought

As much as I don’t really like khan at times there’s something I really give him credit for welcoming Uzi back into the colony . She did put everyone in danger with the murder drones technically and he could been like I don’t want to see you again don’t ever come to the colony but no he welcomed her back in he also wanted her back in colony and you would notice on screen that her room is the same like he was waiting for her to come back .

A lot of people really don't like Khan, and I mean fair enough

From what we know about him, he was a neglectful father who left his daughter to get killed by a murder drone. (As pragmatic a choice that is as the WDF leader, it's still a terrible thing for a parent to do to you). I wouldn't blame someone for hating him for that.

But personally I like him, he's relatively high up on my list of favorite characters. Both because he can be funny at times, and because he does make an effort to be better. Maybe that's just my love of redemption arcs, but I'm happy to see him try to improve and be there for Uzi.

I mean this man had his wife get killed by murder drones, yet he let two of them, not only into the colony, but into his own home. And his main concern during that visit was that his daughter finally has friends.

I was so happy to see him preparing to help with the fight in 7, and really hope to see him use that new rail gun at some point. Bring everything to circle after not taking the shot when Uzi asked him to in the pilot.

Just saw Nosferatu and I’m still in a state of shock to write any actual, meaningful thoughts about the movie, so all I can say is, why did they give him a huge mustache??

I think one of the last things about me that gives gender dysphoria is my voice. It sounds more masc then preferred and hearing it in recordings (like work walkie talkies) is so… jarring

Most things i’ve been able to change… allowing myself to have hair on my body (especially my face), buying clothes from both men and women’s sections (current have a pair of men’s work shoes that i LOVE!), and not forcing myself to wear make up while working!

Now it’s just… my voice. It’s the only thing I don’t want to be masc presenting. I want to be as androgynous as i can… I want to be like a combo of Femme and Butch, a delicate balance. But my voice??? Ugh. Hate it. Need to look into voice training. Some transfemme youtubers i watch have amazing voices. I wonder what their resources were…

Armand: 7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I think there's some really intelligent meta and fic out there about how trauma informs Armand's actions that's like, straight facts and not woobification.

Because with a character like him it would be so easy for fandom to turn him into some sad little lost doe, perpetual victim, something infantalized and weepy and saccharine. I've seen it in other fandoms where people will see trauma and just blow off 90% of the character's other traits in favor of transforming them into something entirely unlike themselves.

But the thing that got me to interact in VC fandom in the first place was seeing people who acknowledge the things that happened to Armand and how it makes him a character who exists in shades of grey. Not 100% victim, not 100% villain, but something with humanity in him. His experiences have been discussed with care and he's allowed agency and that's really fucking important for keeping him a well rounded, multifaceted character.

what hobbies does spike from shipwreck steel have? favorite color? what did they do as an extracurricular in school?

finally I am answering this ask in order to say that spike was a Very Intense soccer kid who grew up into a much less intense soccer adult!

here is spike at around eight years old, just after a game with her neighborhood soccer team, the 'Pizza Bagels.' she doesn't remember the rules of the game half the time but she is very enthusiastic about getting to Run and Kick Things, and that particular enthusiasm has been carried forward to present-day spike, who still kicks a ball around from time to time, as well as being a bit of a gym bro with a tendency to let their little cousins use them as a human climbing frame. they also enjoy cooking and old arcade games!

and as you might expect, their favorite color is teal.

unfortunately i associate myself with a lot of men who play rugby and ultimately take part in movember every year and if there is one thing i have learnt is that it is cheating to start growing your mustache before november 1st and you must be clean shaved on your upper lip on november 1st.....we may see a clean shaven daniel if he adheres to the rules....
