The mute button on videos is just completely gone for some reason? So every video is pre-muted with no way to turn the audio on at all. I mean, I'm way happier that everything is muted with no way to unmute than the other way around but ???? lol

Sometimes, I just want mute other people here in tumblr, not block them.

I know, I know. You don't need a good reason to block people and you can do whatever you wanted because it's nothing personal and you shouldn't feel guilty about but still. Personally, blocking means you don't want to do anything about them—not now and not ever. That you couldn't potentially be friendly with one another. It's something that I would always hesitate about except when it comes to bots nasty individuals.

I don't want to block people, bar them from seeing my content, reblogs, etc or interacting with me just because I don't like most of their content. I just don't want to see it, but I'd like to see their thoughts and such on particular stuff whenever our paths incidentally intersect, and that they're welcome to hit with me if they want. I'd like to keep my and others' options open, and if that includes not blocking people, so be it.

If only tumblr can adopt what ao3 did, where you could mute their works but could still interact with you, it would be much easier to not feel guilty about it.

Wish when I blocked a random account Tumblr would hide all their posts from me and I could forget about their existence but instead we live in a universe where blocking them essentially only keeps them from interacting with me which I could not care less about

Being petty and blocking people for very small things or for annoying me is something I learned to do to survive on Twitter cause Twitter is no man's land tbh

Tommy's been flying as part of his recertification of course, and loved every second of it, but it still didn't feel like this. Overcoming gravity, the power of the bird under his hands, the scientific magic of flight lifting him away from the earth. God it feels so good. It's a patient transport, nothing too strenuous, no trick flying or anything, but it feels so, so good. He feels like running laps around Harbor when he steps out of the bird but instead he does his post-flight checks, changes out of his flight suit, and drinks a bottle of water before he lets himself retrieve his phone from his locker with the intention of texting Sal his excitement.

Before he can though, he's distracted by the notification that tells him he has ten new messages. One is marketing junk, one is from Sal's youngest sister, and then there are eight from Evan. He'd be worried, but they're not on shift, and he knows from the 118 group chat (muted like every group chat on his phone except for the one with Sal and his sisters) that Evan is a prolific back-to-back texter.

Tommy has to laugh when he scrolls up to the first message and sees that it's a slightly blurry photo of what is very definitely not an LAFD helicopter with the caption, this u?
