I MEAN THIS WAX STATUE THAT’S FIVE INCHES TALLER THAN YOU ACTUALLY WERE.
THEY GIVE US HALF A LIFE AND THINK WE WON’T FIGHT FOR IT.
LINES OF ALL TIME.
Both speaking out against the people who’ve had power over them for their whole lives. Both in the same episode. Both fighting against each other.

I think it's a very complicated moment for her because she sees innies as subhuman. Yet, Helly is appreciated and respected and loved in a way that Helena never has been. And realizing that this character that you saw as, like a servant, might actually be living a richer life than you, I think that that really affects her. - Dan Erickson (S2, E2 : Goodbye , Mrs. Selvig, Behind the Scenes)

I think it’s very interesting that when Helly wakes up in the conference room she pushes on the wall to see if there’s a door there. And then we see later Lumon does in fact have doors in their walls. I think it’s just a neat little sprinkling of her Lumon knowledge coming through, like I don’t think a typical person would be like “maybe secret door in the wall” but she does, because subconsciously this is a typical thing for her.

(pretend I posted this a week ago) How about that Severance finale?!?! I'm still not over it 😭 can't wait for season 3
I told myself I will be original I will come up with my own drawing idea instead of just doing a screenshot redraw and so I did! And I hated it and did this screenshot redraw instead 😭 My first drawing is under the cut

Helena Eagan is so funny to me because she is a bad person, she’s an asshole and she’s entitled and she’s willing to put an alternate version of herself in work hell to prove a point and to prove herself and doesn’t care if that version of herself is literally tortured, and all of that reflects her assholery too because who would do that to another person. But it’s also about herself and she hates herself, both versions of herself and she would put the same version of herself through the very same torture to prove a point and she does, just in different ways. She’s hated herself long before she found out that an alternate version of herself is defiant and uncontrollable and all of the things she once was and longs to be but stops herself from being. And imagine it, to think that an alternate version of yourself is so fierce and so full of life in spite of everything, and here you are an heiress of a billionaire and you have none of that and you are miserable. Worse, all you long for is to be loved and to be enough in the eyes of your father and anyone at all really because you’ve never had a meaningful connection in your life that hasn’t been stifled by who you are. Imagine how it would feel to know there is a version of you that lives in literal hell and still she is more loved, more lovable by other people and even your father, even though everything you are now that separates you from her is something you made yourself become for him - and she is you, that could be you being loved if you just put yourself in her place, after all you are the same person right? But you can never be her and you hate her for being free of the life you are burdened with and you hate yourself for not being her.
Did I say funny? I’m so sorry that was not the right word.

actually will never get over “see u at the equator” and then them seeing eachother at the line that divides their world in two. “maybe it’s a building so big it became a continent” and he chooses the hope that one building can contain an entire life. never speak to me ever again

It was such a stroke of genius to make Irving former military. So much about his character clicks into place with the addition of that one detail. Like, of course Irv starts out as the most pious and committed member of MDR, because he’s familiar with rigid structure, discipline, and obedience. But he’s also tough, brave, fiercely loyal, and has a strict moral code,* so once he’s convinced to rebel, he becomes the most fiery and critical of all of them. Even if he doesn’t know it, this isn’t his first rodeo; He understands the cult mentality better than the others because he’s no stranger to being treated like a cog in a machine. And he’s okay with it until he isn’t.
*not saying these are characteristics of the military, more that they’re aspect of Irv’s personality that might draw him to it
