#nana sharpshell

Today marks a year since I lost my maternal grandma, and while I had finished this piece early last year I never got around to posting it online properly.

This was for a local zine that I signed up for before my nana's terminal diagnosis, and no one would have blamed me if I pulled out. But having a larger piece to work with a defined deadline on gave me some grounding in those tough few weeks. It was published in the Tokyo Alley: Adventure zine.

I also got to make the piece about my grandma too, using my two characters Voski (they/them, left), a genderfluid druid dragonborn and Nancy 'Nana' Sharpshell (she/her, right), a tortle cleric. Voski is perfectly capable of patching themselves up, but it's hard to say no to Nana's help.

My grandma was a very significant person in my life and I miss her terribly.
