Hi there, my name is Lyci and this is my art blog! Typically it will be only be my artwork, but sometimes there's a occasional reblog of art that's been made for me, and some text post updates.

#lycidraws is my art only tag if you want to filter everything but my art posts.

@lyci is my personal blog where I reblog (and post non-art) stuff! Any likes will show up under this handle though.

I've also got a bluesky and an instagram where I post my art. I've also been doing Art Fight for many years, and I've got a toyhou.se for my OCs.

How do you pronounce Lyci / Lycisca?

Lyci is pronounced like 'LIE-SEE' (rhymes with 'icy') and Lycisca can be either pronounced as 'LIE-sis-CAH' or 'LIE-SIC-ah'.

What programs / tools do you use?

For digital art I have a Wacom Cintiq and Clip Studio Paint EX. Sometimes it's a big Cintiq, sometimes it's a smaller one. For traditional artwork I usually use COPIC markers, POSCA paint markers and sometimes coloured pencils.

Where are you from?

I'm Australian! I'm from a very isolated city called Perth / Boorloo on the west coast. I do interstate anime/comic/furry conventions from time to time so you might see me pop up in other places too.

What species is your fursona?

They're a Thylacine! More commonly known as a Tasmanian Tiger. I first designed them in 2011.

Can I send / ask you questions about your OCs?

Absolutely! I love yapping about my scunglies.

What other creative hobbies do you do?

I'm a hobbyist cosplayer/cosmaker (I did win 'judge's choice' in a comp one time!) and fursuiter. I have been known to write fanfic (but you'll have to DM me for that). I also casually do photography with a Nikon Coolpix P900 sometimes.

Today marks a year since I lost my maternal grandma, and while I had finished this piece early last year I never got around to posting it online properly.

This was for a local zine that I signed up for before my nana's terminal diagnosis, and no one would have blamed me if I pulled out. But having a larger piece to work with a defined deadline on gave me some grounding in those tough few weeks. It was published in the Tokyo Alley: Adventure zine.

I also got to make the piece about my grandma too, using my two characters Voski (they/them, left), a genderfluid druid dragonborn and Nancy 'Nana' Sharpshell (she/her, right), a tortle cleric. Voski is perfectly capable of patching themselves up, but it's hard to say no to Nana's help.

My grandma was a very significant person in my life and I miss her terribly.
