Who in the 126 believes in ghosts/other paranormal entities?

Good question! For some reason I'm thinking of this in the context of a haunted house. So, if the 126 family went to a haunted house, here's what I think would happen:

Poor Mateo is terrified. Nancy insists on walking in front of him to protect him, and Mateo is very thankful that his girlfriend is so tall that she blocks his view of all the scary elements.

Marjan doesn't get scared of the horror elements, but she has really good reflexes and her first instinct when she feels she's in danger is to punch the attacker. Tommy takes it upon herself to walk next to Marjan and hold her back from punching any haunted house workers that startle her.

Owen was not present for this haunted house excursion. He heard there was a scary clown in the house and decided he'd rather enjoy a quiet night in with Buttercup.

I feel like Paul and Carlos would just be unaffected by the whole thing. Like they would just be strolling through the haunted house having a conversation about the latest book they read. TK would say he wasn't scared, but would walk suspiciously close to Carlos the whole time: "It's just because I love you, babe. That's all."

Judd would roll his eyes and claim there's no way he would ever be scared: "You know these ain't real monsters, just people in costumes, right? What are y'all so scared about?" But then someone in a scary costume jumps out at him from behind a corner and he screams louder than any of them. The rest of the 126 never let Judd live it down. Grace, meanwhile, is as cool as a cucumber and just pats Judd's arm sympathetically and casually greets the haunted house worker, because she is nothing if not polite. The poor teenager in the costume is so confused why this lady is asking how his day is going as if they're having a normal interaction.

I know I’ve already done a mini art piece for this fic but I felt that after sticking with and obsessing over this fic for two years I needed to make something intricate to celebrate it 😅 hope it’s not like concerningly obsessive at this point bc sometimes I wonder-

Anyway tried to include something from every chapter and wanted to make it look like a scrap book! Quick detail that I’m excited about: The tape pieces on the pictures all signify whose POV was in the chapter! So Nancy is green and Mateo is yellow and Judd is blue. Hope I did it justice!

Annnnd I’m back! Would’ve sent this earlier but it’s been a day so far. My new question for you is what do you think the 126’s hobbies would be?

I love this question!! And I’m sorry you’ve had a bad day. I hope you can take some time to rest and relax tonight. I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way!!

Paul loves reading, as we know; he's in an LGBTQ+ book club that he really enjoys. He invites Carlos to it and Carlos finds it really meaningful; now they go together once a month! This isn’t a hobby, but in my mind Paul has two cats who he names Sherlock and Watson (because he is such a good detective). He loves playing with them and snuggling with them to read a book or watch a movie. He (and Carlos) tend to watch a lot of documentaries.

Random thought, but Paul would love going to escape rooms so he can get to use his detective skills. The Catan Crew would have SO much fun going to escape rooms together, although Paul and Carlos would figure out most of the clues. Carlos's hobbies include going for runs/exercising and cooking — he loves to experiment with new recipes, and TK is always happy to be his taste tester! 

We know from season 5 that TK is on a softball team! I think it’s not super competitive, mostly recreational, and that Nancy is on the team too. TK invited her to join because he wanted his paramedic bestie to get involved! She gained confidence after being crowned MVP in that Red vs. Blue game, and now it’s something they enjoy doing together, especially to unwind after long or emotionally difficult shifts.

I can see Nancy enjoying those painting and wine classes; she takes Mateo to one on a date. His painting is horrendous, but Nancy absolutely loves it and hangs it up on her wall because it reminds her of how much fun they had that night.

Marjan attempted to learn how to knit during the pandemic, but that did not last long. She was far too impatient and became easily frustrated. She only got like halfway through a lumpy, wonky scarf for Paul before she gave up and burned it. Marjan is very athletic, so I can see her being on a soccer team (since we know she did soccer when she was a kid, and she was really good at it!). And of course she has her roller derby! 

Sometimes Nancy and Marjan get together to play chess. Their matches can last a super long time (their record is almost a week) and they get super competitive with it and take it very seriously. Mateo knows not to bother Nancy when she's in the middle of a game with Marjan and concentrating hard.

Mateo loves Pokemon Go; he’s also part of a D&D group that meets weekly. He loves it — he always excitedly tells the 126 about his group’s various adventures, and his friends don’t really understand it but are happy for him nonetheless. Mateo also loves to take Buttercup for walks and to the dog park; they always have a blast together.

my personal 911 lone star headcanons:

tk still regularly checks up on the kid who shot him in s1

tk carries around anything you could ever possibly need in an emergency in his lil backpack

paul and marjan go out to eat after every shift so that neither is alone if something heavy happens

jonah and carlos love watching bluey but tk gets bored too easily

carlos is the youngest kid out of all his siblings and cousins

tk has a group chat w carlos’s brother in laws

enzo keeps school projects and drawings from baby tk

tarlos and paul regularly went out to clubs every week before paul started dating asha. now they just do a double date

mateo and nancy are gods at karaoke and everyone in the bar love it when they show up

nancy and tk go to all of evie and izzy’s dance shows and karate competitions and any other kind of performance. evie and izzy get embarrassed by all the cheering and whistling but love the support. they also hate it sometimes tho cuz their friends think tk is hot

judd can only line dance. any other kind of dance he trips over his own feet

tk doesn’t let carlos wear the cowboy hat in the house

jonah falls in love w lou2 and he and tk gang up on carlos for another pet

wyatt is secretly very talented at smth. probably smth music related. nobody will ever find out

grace and charlie take wyatt’s wife and daughter out for spa days every month so they can complain about the boys

marjan teaches mateo how to play soccer and they join a sunday league
