Happy New Years guys!
I hope you guys have an excellent end of a year and a start of one! I’m at my friend’s, Kasper, house playing Pictionary. I’m taking a break to look up movies to watch. I’m going to try to get them to watch either the Graduate or Chinatown, I love both!
This was super fun to animate, I tried to include everyone that was mentioned to me! I want to draw something similar to what I did during Halloween this year! If it’s hard to understand, Frosty (my character) throws a snowball at Jim (@all-yn-oween’s OC) and Passerine (another one of my OCs) who are building a snowman. The snowman is based off of the Minecraft ones, that’s why there’s a pumpkin. Passerine gets hit, which makes her mad and she storms off after Frosty. The film cuts to Jimmy(The Capone one) and Ralph chatting while Pass runs after Frost behind them. The film then moves over Al and Napoleon who are chatting to Ivan and @lidensword who are reading Warriors books. Jim comes in from the snow and pops up to flirt with Ivan who looks annoyed.
I’ll see you folks next year! I hope you guys have a good rest of your year if your like me and it’s 2022 in your time zone.

Before Larry become the teacher, Jed and octavius was best friends And when they saw Larry, they don't stop fighting about the fact that larry is gonna marry jed and not octavius, and vice versa And one day Larry explain to the kids that certain people live at 3 in a house and then, they become best friends again like "Ok, we gonna live with Larry together"!

INJURIES AND THE TABLET
Because heck i need a standard to be set of this so i can rumble lets go
**NOTE everything in the museum gets extra strength and durability from the tablets
Wax + other such exhibits - Don't really feel pain from major injuries (and only a bit from minor ones) they could be cut in half and be just fine, the only side affect being some numbness from the lost limb.  Otherwise they can konk into things and jump from ridiculous heights with no pain, though that isn't to say that they won't be damaged or need repairs to the wax.  If they ARE damaged it can be fixed with some wax, and minor wear and tear is repaired by the tablet during the day.  The only way to really destroy a wax exhibit or another exhibit is to melt/burn them down.
Miniatures - They work the same way as the wax exhibits, only they are much easier to damage.  Miniatures can be destroyed the usual way and by being crushed into basically lumps of wax by unsuspecting footfalls, so they're a lot more careful.  They can feel pain to an extent but nothing very major.
Paintings and Sculptures - Any damage that is done by jumping into the painting will be restored in the day, but outer damage to the frame and such will not be.  The inhabitants of paintings and if they can be damaged differs on the paints used, the style they are painted in and the artists intent.  Sculptures can't feel pain at all. You break them just how you'd break a normal painting or sculpture.
Previously Living Things - The Pharoah and various animals that restore themselves at night have the greatest senses of everything at the museum, but are also the most fragile and an feel the most pain.  They are capable of being knocked unconscious for short bursts of time, but any injuries they obtain (including lost limbs for example) will restore themselves during the day (in the case of limbs they just have to be near enough to fix back onto the person/animal).  These exhibits do not bleed or bruise.
IF the night guard is in the museum when the tablet activates, any minor injuries they obtain before sunrise will heal when the tablet deactivates for the day.

Howdy! I’m probably going to be gone for most of the month of November but I want to leave you guys with some art and ScreenCap Analysis! This is the first of hopefully three queued bits for this blog this month!
NATM2 ScreenCap Analysis: The Jed Cage Guy
A few nights ago while doing homework, I was rewatching NATM 2 for inspo. and I got to the scene where Al’s gang capture Jed in the birdcage and Kah’s putting him in the hourglass. I’ve watched this so many times so I was looking at background characters when this was happening and I saw something with the antagonists of the film- everybody (besides Ivan and Kah) seemed very surprised that the hourglass scene was happening.
I wasn’t able to get good screenshots of Al’s face but by the two I was able to get, he doesn’t look to happy to me (Then again, I’m not too good at reading facial expressions). To me, he has a look of “Who the fuck does this guy think he is? First my men call him boss and now he’s ordering them around?” and a mix of “Holy hell, is this guy serious? Where is he puttin’ this cowpoke?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Mobster who’s holding the cage, who I headcanon as Ralph Capone, doesn’t seem too happy about this either. Firstly, I headcanon this guy as Ralph because of this guy's facial features, and it seems body type (From the one picture I have of Ralph when he was 21, can’t really tell though because he is sitting down). Ralph was also really important to Al, so I figure he would have a pretty important job, i.e. looking after hostages. To me, in this scene, Ralph does not look happy to do this. It seems likes he’s holding a poker face but isn’t doing it too well and his surprise is showing through. He’s brows are furrowed, and it seems to keep looking over at Al to ask questions and down at Jed.

Night Guard Instruction Manual
1. Unlock the sarcophagus in Netuahkra's Tomb before sundown.
2. Lock the Edgar Allen Poe exhibit before the ravens escape.
3. Stop the refueling of the plane.
4. Double check the Egyptologists exhibit, they've probably escaped.
5. Open the door to the big cat exhibit or they will break it down when escaping.
6. Duck! The rifles are loaded- get the soldiers back into their exhibit.
7. Ask the Knights to round up the Egyptologists, word it like a quest.
8. Distract the Spartans or they will try to conquer other exhibits.
9. Stop the plane from taking off, they will have found the fuel by now.
10. Check that the diorama miniatures are in their own dioramas.
11. Stop the riot.
12. Stop the church from burning Galileo.
13. Ensure no one has wandered into or unlocked the Poe exhibit.
14.  Locate the gangsters.  Check the Archives.
15. The guns are not loaded, it's a bluff.
16. Search the archives for Alexander the Great.  Send him back upstairs.
17. Do not attempt to discipline the cats, they will eat you.
18. Check with the knights about their quest- they should recover something stolen.
19. Do not mention Sir Lancelot to Sir Galahad.
20. Return the stolen item to the tomb of Netuahkra.  Mind the stone guardians.

Netuahkra can control the exhibits to an extent as long as the tablet is present and the tiles are turned to the proper order- there are different ones.  They can't control their thoughts or anything but they can order them to move to certain places, freeze, that sort of thing.

What's the full, chronological story here? And whose in this museum? (I saw a pharaoh, Camelot and an Egyptology expedition and gangsters from where?) sorry for asking, it just looks like a fun story and I wanna know
ah man don’t worry about asking questions im more than happy to answer!  the story isnt crazy fleshed out yet but essentially this is just the daily life of the exhibits at the museum and their unfortunate night guard.
lewis the night guard started working here because he thought it was a respectable, easy job despite not being all that interested in history. the old guard thought this was hilarious and sent him in blind (as is night guard tradition, essentially) to see if he could cut it as guard.  his first night was crazy hectic and ended with netuahkra grilling him for answers about his intentions with the museum.
its more than he bargained for honestly, but the job turned out to be a lot of fun and hey, it isn’t ever boring :0 he gets a lot of help from Netuahkra, who basically sees the museum as their kingdom and runs the place with the help of the tablet and some of the other exhibits.  its a bit new having an active night guard around (the old one just sort of rolled with w/e the exhibits wanted) so they’re still getting used to things.
as for the exhibits, there’s a little link on the sidebar that includes all of the exhibits and some backstory, but I can give you a rundown here!  more might be added later on, but the ones listed are the main ones for the moment.
Netuahkra is the pharaoh you mentioned, with the tablet and the run of the museum basically.  Alexander the Great also has an exhibit, along with some british aviators from WWII and one of their planes.  There’s a small group of spartans and a gang back from the days of prohibition in america (think 1920’s) and some north/south civil war mannequins that fight literally all the time.
King Arthur and three of his knights (Gawain, Percivale and Lancelot’s son Galahad) have some space downstairs, and there’s also an exhibit on the history of Egyptology complete with wax figures that come to life and bug the pharaoh.  There’s an edgar allen poe exhibit too but its crazy hard to navigate and no one can really get in or out at night except poe.
as far as miniatures go there are three separate sets- some french revolution miniatures, native american miniatures and some exploration-era england (1400’s, colonizing EVERYTHING) england ones.
theres also a notable painting of Galileo and the church hanging around somewhere.
i hope that helped answer some of your questions!! :D im glad you think this is a fun story!

Angel was a ginrunner for the speakeasy which basically meant he drove out to pick up the alcohol and drove back like a madman avoiding rival gangs and the police whilst speeding through stoplights.

Headcanon that Neu is Ahk's younger brother with a penchant for sorcery so he tries duplicating the original tablet with a misconception about what it can do (read: door of the underworld) and then he dies and wakes and is like ‘oh’.
aaaaAAAAAAAAAAA this would be an incredible au headcanon (aside from the brother bit like related YES but probably something gender neutral like sibling because netty is 3rd gender) i can totally see Net attempting to do that and waking up like ‘well this was a mistake’ and trying to figure out what they did differently for a few thousand years before learning oh no i made it right this is fine
also if net was ahks younger sibling they would also be related to kahmurah and be pretty pissed about the whole murder thing like some serious vengeance would be going on u feel esPECIALLY if net had a penchant for sorcery like some serious magic would happen in fact that would probably be why they would try 2 replicate the tablet in the first place open the gate to the underworld to A. get ahk back and B. beat the shit out of his murderer
in the main au canon tho ahk and netty were actually born a few centuries apart, with net being the younger of the two by a few hundred years (though older as far as physical age goes as they died at 22)
i mite add that penchant for sorcery into the main canon tho I LIKE IT AND I LIKE YOUR STYLE ANON

lewis why are u not running this place maN U THR NIGHT GUARD U CAN DO IT PROBABLY??
The night guard looks exasperated at the question, and rubs his temple in frustration.  Clearly this wasn’t the first time he’d heard such a thing, and it likely wouldn’t be the last- not that it made this particular question any less of an annoyance.
"Listen, when I got here this whole weird hierarchy was already in place, with all the exhibits doing their own thing and running the whole museum.  From what I hear the old guard didn’t do anything at all, so at least I’m a step up from that- I help out." He attempted to explain.  "Besides, i’m not about to fight the pharaoh for control of the museum, he’s thousands of years old and controls some very big statues with very big spears."
Lewis sounds as if he is speaking from experience, at least where the statues are involved.  ”Everything is running smoothly now, there’s no need to go messing with it, okay?”
