thinking about Dazai in stormbringer not only giving Chuuya the option NOT to use corruption bc if he did then he would never know if he was truly human or not, but also doing everything he could to buy Chuuya the time to make that decision- even going insofar as to think about how 2 minutes wasn't enough time to decide but that there was no way to get more than that. and he was already trying to figure out how to defeat Verlaine without making Chuuya use corruption, because if Chuuya had said no then Dazai was not going to force him

ok maybe i'm thinking too hard about it because i have a million other things to do but

i think jeremy and andrew are kind of similar with the way they express (or don't express) attraction. like if neil had ever said no, if he'd ever given any slight indication that he didn't want that, andrew would've withdrawn immediately and never questioned it or spoken about it again. we know that he does that because the most important thing to him is that neil gets the autonomy and the out that andrew didn't have too many times over. because neil means more to andrew than andrew means to himself.

jeremy only knows some of what happened to jean in the nest. he's smart, he's more than capable of piecing parts of it together on his own, and knowing that (specifically 'i didn't ask') i think if he was in love with jean he wouldn't say anything. not at first and not for a while, if ever, because i think it'd almost scare him and he'd be too worried about putting jean in that kind of position, one where he felt like he had to say yes. jeremy is too protective of his team and everybody on it to create that kind of situation for him. we know he's the king of avoiding and burying shit, so he'd probably pretend it was nothing and ignore it for as long as he had to. because everybody else comes first, that's the downside of having kindness like that. jean feeling comfortable, feeling safe, with the trojans, with him, would mean far more to jeremy than having his feelings reciprocated would. i think he almost thinks that if he did tell jean, jean would say yes anyway, whether he meant it or not, and jeremy cares about him so much he can't let him do that.

so he would bury it and he would hide it because everybody else comes first.
