a/n: SURPRISE!!! it came today instead of tomorrow!! okay so if it wasnt obvious from my follow up post to this ask, i dont know a lot about hypersensitivity 😭 but since you specified that it was emotional that helped a lot! tried my best to do as much research as i could on this, i hope i got it accurate :) also ive never written headcanons before so this was kinda awkward for me and i dont think they turned out very well.. but hopefully there will be improvement 😓 these were really fun to write though!! i think headcanons are my favorite form of writing, i love to read headcanons so this was nice to do! also i tried doing the small font thing for the hcs, idk how i feel about them... i might go back and change it later 💀

• i think paul would be the most reassuring and comforting in this scenario

• it might be a bit awkward for him if the emotions you're feeling are negative assuming he's never met someone who deals with these struggles, but he makes it a point to learn what helps you to make you feel better or calm down as soon as possible

•  though, at first he might make comments like "there's nothing to worry about, love." only because he doesn't realize that doesn't help you at all and he'll see no issue with it until you have to tell him.

•  he comes to appreciate it after a while, the positive emotions at least. especially since you're more responsive to what other's need and empathetic, that could definitely be a big help to him, especially around the time the band was falling apart.  

john :

• john would (unfortunately 💔) likely be a bit of a dick about this at first.

• again, assuming they've never had to deal with anyone like this, let alone a partner, he would just brush it off and tell you you're being dramatic over nothing.

• another one that you would have to explain your feelings to and why those feelings are so heightened. 

• after though, he'd become more aware of your condition and keep his eyes on you if you're ever in a place where you could start feeling overstimulated or in any stressful situations you're going through.

• not at all afraid to tell someone off if they ever say anything negative about you or your sensitivity.

george :

• i think george would be the most responsive towards your feelings, not loudly in the way the others might be, though.

• his support shows up more as him silently grabbing your hand and pulling you out of a crowd when he notices you're starting to get overwhelmed.

• he's a bit of a difficult one though, he has his moments where he talks a lot and you get more of that when you officially get together but most of the time he does just prefer to be quiet.

• you sometimes mistake his silence for something that it's not and get frustrated because you can't understand exactly why he's being so quiet. especially because you're more sensitive to people's feelings, not being able to read his makes you feel like theres a lack of connection between you two.

• you have to eventually sit down and talk about it since its led you to have many emotional outbursts before. you get the clarity you need, even if you still worry ocassionally, he's always there to reassure you.

ringo :

• ringo, naturally, makes a bit of a joke out of your sensitivity. it might sound mean at first but he really doesn't mean to say anything with ill intent, he just likes to tease.

• he'll often use jokes and funny distractions when you're feeling a lot, almost trying to escape or avoid the seriousness of your situation.

• yet another one you have to talk to about this. he'll tone down the teasing after you guys talk but it does still slip out every now and then.

• he does start to reassure you a lot, i think that's something he would like from a partner given how he's often undermined next to the other guys.

• of course its different reassurance, but reassurance nonetheless. he wants to return the sentiment, especially if it'll make you feel better about your sensitivity.

• overall, he's pretty good about, mostly just trying his best even if it doesn't seem like it.

Okay so there are five main types of love languages.

Physical touch, Words of Affirmation, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Quality Time.

I would also like anyone reading this to remember that these love languages are how you want to be loved/receive love not how you show love to others.

I do think that Rasmodius is very connected to himself

And by that I mean I think he knows himself very well, or at least he thinks he knows himself very well.

And for a long time I think he probably thought that Quality Time and Physical Touch were his main two love languages.

I mean idk if it’s canon but in my opinion I do think he cheated on the witch with Caroline

And I’m not gonna go into it here because this isn’t about them, but I think it might’ve had to do with that and his own struggles with temptations.

And I also think gift giving is canon for literally every single character in stardew because that’s the main way to befriend someone.

But I think that after marrying you/beginning to date you he realizes that his actual love language is words of affirmation.

While Physical touch and quality time are still very important to him, being with you makes him see that he really does like being praised.

Like whenever you say that he has done something well, or that you like something he has done his heart flutters as if he were a teenager again.

Especially when it comes to his magic

Like I feel like the townspeople aren’t really fond of him

And they never thank him for the things that he does whenever they actually need him for stuff

Like they’re just talking about how weird he is and how he got it done

But they never stop and say anything that’s positive like WTF

With quality time I feel like you get a lot of it after he moves to the farm

I think in terms of how he shows love i think he would show it in acts of service and gift giving

I really hate drawing it 💀Theres something about it that makes me hate doing it, so alot of times it looks wonky. Part of my misery is because I try to make it look biblically accurate.

Anyways, I don’t see my Astor using it that much besides for visions or messages from Ganon. Or sort of projecting said visions in open spaces, like he does in game.

Sure sometimes he’ll need it for tasks involving malice.

But the only times he would use it as a weapon like in the game it would be when fighting groups of people.

And to me he seems like someone who would avoid doing that, instead making someone else do that fighting for him.

And I think he would know how to use some magic without it, just in case, yk?

Otherwise my boy has his knife he can take people out one by one with >:3

Why does dealer!ellie work so well, and why do we see it so often

i could actually speak about this

Dealer!ellie is so excepted throughout the tumblr fandom as she does smoke weed in the game..

Another thing that could add to this is her brutal force throughout the game showing that she would possibly be a dealer in a modern society without infected

But me personally? Ive only dipped my toes into dealer ellie as since i saw this one tiktok about how the tumblr fandom makes her out to be so tough💀💀💀 ive looked at it differently?

I feel like yes ellie would smoke weed outside of the apocalypse but being a dealer?? Im not sure about that. Ellie is quiet and keeps to her self, indulging in nerdy shit (like me) i PERSONALLY don’t see it but maybe i need to do more research.

I could see myself writing dealer!ellie in the future if it was requested but id 100% make her less… money flexing on snapchat story dealer and more dealing to friends and friends of a friends kind of dealer yk? One that keeps it on the down low!

Why do i think it works so well?

Well… idk bout yall but i can assume at least one of you has had a crush on a dealer in the past.. also ellie is legit a mass murderer so dealing is acceptable to her modern non apocalypse au character. I think alot of people like the rebellious troupe of character as it is attractive

As with all different kinds of au’s we attach to characters (dbf!, dealer!, college!) it’s fantasy!! We can all get behind a well written fantasy! Plus the intoxication and lust works so well together, being with someone you lust after can be intoxicating so added to a substance makes it even more intense.

Really to sum it up, i think the extreme of the illegalness, drugs and lust makes it so desirable!

After you read a good fic with a troupe like dealer!ellie you search for others with the same troupe i think thats why it works well!

With the popularity theres a even better rounded character to this troupe of ellie

Also my bias opinion on this is even though we dont see abby ever smoke weed in the game i feel like she would be a dealer just for the connections and money.

I like to think how would be the fandom of my story where Lewis is from if it was actually a real show (animated), there would be a big part of the fandom who loves one of the main character, the Kid (a child, he has no name yet so I will refer to him as the "Kid") and sees him as their own child yk, those people probably would love most of the main cast because they are all nice to the Kid; some like the father-son relationship of the Kid and Lewis but most wouldnt like it and would rather have the Kid start a new life with Ross (Lewis' sister) and her crew.

There would be the ones who HATE Lewis, they wouldnt stand him, they think he is annoying and want him dead XD

In the other hand, there would be the ones who love Lewis, they probably relate to him in their own way and thats why they like him, or just because they like the type of character he is (I cant remember the words to describe it right now).

Then we have the ones who are in love with Rowan XD

I think there would be people making thirst edits or however they are called, I haven't actually drawn him in a cool way but in my head he is really handsome and canonically attractive in the story. I think he would be liked because of his charming but sweet personality, and he is also really strong xD (and silly sometimes)

People would forget the fact that he is a hitman OR they would use it for fake scenarios yk 💀

For Ross (actually Rosemary but she doesn't like it), I think there would be people supporting her a lot, especially against the ones who say she is a bad person for "leaving" Lewis (it wasn't in that way), there would be people making those videos of "we need to talk more about [insert random character]"

For Erik, if theres someone who likes him I would be sorry cause he barely appears XD

He is relevant but mostly for Lewis' background so...yeah..

And for that other scientist who has a higher rank at Lewis' job (I cant decide on a name yet), well...they do have relevant scenes but their character isnt a main one and their backstory isnt probably shown in the story (but I like it a lot) so the people who like them would have to make a lot of headcanons, like with Erik xD

For Lewis and Ross' parents I think most people wouldnt like them but there would be the ones who would want to know more of their backstory because they aren't in the present time of the story and they actually are one of the reasons on why everything in the story started, people would be mad at them for that and other reasons xD

Now going back to the other characters:

I think Lewis would be SO mischaracterized, like, they would make him be sooo rude with others when he is actually very repectful when he is not altered, I feel like some people would make him being rude with Rowan a lot, like, him treating Rowan like an idiot and all that, when he isn't actually like that, he would even explain to Rowan stuff he doesn't understand (about science) with patience </3

(Not me getting sad with those thoughts which I myself came up with)

And I think there would also be those fights of "They are friends vs They are in love" with Lewis and Rowan XD only because they spent most of the story together but they canonically dont have feelings for eachother, they are not even friends at the beginning xD

I think the audience would ship them because throughout the story they get closer and Rowan starts to care about Lewis, another "proof" for the ship would be that Rowan would be shown in the serie flirting with different people (he is bi) and Lewis' orientation is never mentioned nor shown because its not relevant to the plot so people would be speculating about it. If there was a real fandom for my story I wouldnt mind that ship, it would be sweet ngl but in reality they don't have a romance and never get to the point of forming a real friendship, I don't even think they could "work" as friends and even less partners, the bond they form is quite strange, for some reason Rowan gets attached to Lewis, its just the way Rowan is but it doesn't mean he is in love, he just feels like he needs to help Lewis. And Lewis...he didn't like Rowan at the beginning but he slowly starts to find him quite interesting because Rowan wasn't what Lewis expected him to be.

MY FAVORITE character in all seriousness is amity or raine!!! (luz is a close tie with amity bc i was a luz kin first.) but both of their characters mean SO much to me. especially raine's. i wont go ramble heavy but a lot of the reason i love the queer characters in the show are because of the fact that their "queerness" is not made into a character trait. people acknowledge raine as who they are and dont question or think of their identity as a negative. most of the media i found growing up centered around stories about queer people and their journey to realization OF being queer, and not where they already knew. thats one of the most definitive reasons i love toh so much too.

their identities and sexualities arent a "oh theyre the gay character" or "oh thats the nonbinary one" its an extension of themselves beneath other traits. because as a queer person myself theres WAY more that makes me myself than the fact that i identify the way i do. seeing amity develop feelings on screen for luz and then choose for herself on what she wanted. breaking away from her mother and destroying the rhetoric of what was assumed and assigned onto her.

people will talk shit about it and how "amity changed for luz" or blah blah blah. but thats not entirely true. when luz met amity, she saw her as who she was. not a name. not a rich girl. she threatened her stability. the comfort. luz encouraged her in ways that no one had before. about things amity found passion in. especially Azura!! amity changed because she realized she wanted more than what her parents forced onto her. luzs carefree and comfort being WARM and encouraging to do things that SHE ENJOYED. amity changed because she wanted to be more than her parents and be happy and luz just so happened to be the catalyst of that. and raine- as a nonbinary person makes me feel so validated.

2.) uhh surprisingly ive watched s1 like a good 13 or so times??? s2 though ive only watched through fully like once when i first watched it. i did watch individual eps from s2 so its not like i hadnt watched it ONLY once. s3 at least 4 times. s1 is definitely my favorite. even if like the real plot started coming in during s2. the nostalgia of 2020 and the fandom during that time is probably my reason. s1 lumitys energy and lumity as a ship was so simple and yet different.

3.) i think the fandom forgave camila too quickly for what she did to luz. it irks me how they then turned around and "noceda siblings" became a full thing. meanwhile people forget that darius wanted the best for hunter??? "he only had _" shut up. the show was shortened!!! WHO came to hunter during s3? NOT camila. it was darius and ebber! that man is more of a candidate for a parent for hunter than camila. vee and luz as sisters? YES valid. i love that. but hunter does NOT need to be included in literally everything regarding luz. people forget that king literally called himself luzs brother. "your family now" does NOT have to mean a familial tie. there are some friends who are so close like brother and sister BUT THEY ARENT. i cant stand noceda siblings. dadrius is just something that makes sense and i like the parallel potential of it. however speaking i will not get pissy if someone enjoys it, these characters are subjective. as long as you dont tear down others favorites and are respectful i have no issue with differing of beliefs. its just for me personally i wish it wasnt so... forgetful of king and luzs siblinghood.

4.) ive covered hunter before. i don't really like him all that much just due to how fandom treats him. his character in canon is cool though. i like dadrius. its the exception. grimwalker lore still feels very interesting though.

Guy, Aquia, and Zev are perfect examples oldest–middle–youngest sibling syndrome

Cus first of all Aquia gives such middle sibling energy

If Aquia wasn't such a sweetheart he could really be out here in these streets and nobody would know and possibly not care and that actually kinda sad

People pleaser, especially in regards to Guy, he really just wants Guys attention and approval SIMPLY AS A BROTHER but doesn't think hes worthy of Guys attention because he admires him so much, hes really independent but hes good at making good friends/companions, he's something of a peacemaker I guess hes good at being a mediator I thinks, Aquias actually kinda shy and pretty complicit so he doesn't fit into the 'act out for attention' stereotype unless someone can prove me wrong

Aquia is quiet too, like have yall clocked how invisible Aquia would probably be without the Avari name attached to him

I think Zev is the only one that's really ever given him a chance to talk but at the same time Zev loves to talk and loves the attention

Definitely spoiled, just wants attention bruh, will annoy talk to his older brothers at any opportunity, very extroverted, open(bro has no filter), sense of humor of the family-- "You've gotten so big, how old are you? 18?" "I'm 23." feels like hes been the same age for too damn long

Also Zev is a whore(affectionate but also derogatory but in a "I care about you" criticism kind of way) the youngest child is often never truely seen as full grown or able to reach the same level as their older siblings and while I think theres other things going on in there as well as think it could be completely unrelated, I conspire that Zevs "leisure pursuits" are a way for him to 'grow up' a little faster

And then we have Guy

Specifically oldest son cus oldest daughter is a WHOLE different category.

Indifferent to most things at this point, stubborn, not very expressive, domineering, more or less tolerates his younger brothers but wont go out of his way to entertain them, but were the opportunity to arise and he thinks they deserve it hed take them out just for a brief respite cus they're still his baby brothers, entitlement, old enough to drink around parents and know the juicy family gossip with older folks, shows signs of narcissism, "When are you going to get married?"

Being a child prodigy of some sort dosen't help his case either💀

its basically me ranting about other people being upset over "some s2 plot points were unnecessary" and how a lot of it was actually needed for the story so if u dont think youd like reading maybe just scroll idk

that type of mindset is so silly bc when u think about it for more than 2 seconds, the arcane team spent porbably over THREE YEARS animating and storyboarding and doing the best they could to 'wrap up' what was supposed to be an entire THREE SEASON ARC into NINE episodes

i GUARANTEE they agonized over not only EVERY LITTLE DETAIL they felt was necessary to the story BUT ALSO painstakingly animating said little details BECAUSE IT WAS NECESSARY TO INCLUDE IN THE STORY

like obviously its fine to dislike how it turned out i know not everyone will like it as much as i did and thats totally fine however just because u didnt totally like how things went over doesnt mean it was unnecessary kjdlskjfd

and im not saying s2 is completely perfect and therefore unable to be touched by criticism. theres some scenes even i dont care for when i rewatch it, same as s1, but theyre still important to the story nonetheless lol

‘ishas death was pointless it didnt change anything’ did we miss the part where jinx got so depressed that she tried to blow herself up (CHARACTER DEPTH) and she finally got to talk with silco and ended up helping in the fight bc of what he n ekko said (PLOT PROGRESSION) and jinx let go of vi so that vi could finally let go of powder (CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT)

also since when did a character death have to always mean smth HAHA just because she didnt actually kill vander doesnt make it pointless💀💀 it was important to hers and jinx’s character: smth smth like isha sacrificing herself for someone she loves, and jinx watching someone someone she loves and deeply connects with sacrificing themselves for her even if she probably thinks she herself is not worth saving,, (i think idk lmfao)

and it also helps to catalyst viktors machine herald form bc singed takes and merges him with vanders beast (the beast is like lowkey dead after she blasts him so like,, theres that too) the show is very centered around the snowballing/domino effect of one thing leading to another to another to another and so on and so forth.

"jinx vi cait sevika and isha couldve just left" isha gets scared as she watches jinx thrown to the ground and noxian soldiers inch in on her with spears. what isha did saved jinx's life because ambessa was determined to kill jinx too. it didnt kill vander but it immobilized him enough as well as the surrounding soldiers so that the fighting would stop and our mc's could escape

jinx joins the fight in the end because of what ekko says and how she connects it with isha. "no matter what happened in the past, its never too late to build something new, someone worth building it for" which presumably means fighting to fix the future of the two cities i think idk

its fine to be sad about her death obviously but lets not pretend the rest of the show didnt happen lmfao... it would be pointless if literally no one reacted at all but thats very much the opposite of what we saw HAHA... and it probably felt like she got pushed to the side never to be mentioned again (bc no one ever mentions her again HAHA) but u can clearly see how tired and Over It jinx was after isha dies, and how it helped her finally let go so everyone else can move on. like no one mentions her but jinx incorperates parts of isha into her airship decorations (bunny ears on the balloon, shart teeth from her hat on the turbine, designs on her goggles on the windows) and she wears the same pink face paint that isha did

also we just wouldnt have that beautiful montage of isha and jinx in her final moment if it wasnt meant to be important lol

but yeah u gotta remember how much the writers had to fit into s2 in order to get a decent ending lmao

What if Hank Pym Ant-Man was in the MCU

Okay but, I keep thinking about this like all the time, about what if the MCU was different and introduced Ant-Man and Wasp into the universe traditionally. Like how they were in the comics of course.

But obviously marvel went against it, I imagine they wanted to avoid the ScreenRant article saying like “Hank Pym was different in the comics versus how he is in the movies.” Disney did not want a “wife-beater,” as one of their main characters. (Of course, Peter Parker, Tony Stark and Reed Richards did somethings similar in their comics but that’s a different story)

Theres two versions I think they could have went with. One being where they had the classic origin/introduction film and then he was brought into the MCU. But let’s talk realistic. If were being honest the success of the MCU was basically luck thanks to RDJ and Iron Man, since he was the flagship of the MCU he was going to be their token character from the beginning.

In the Avengers, Tony is the “smart” character, and of course Bruce was there as well. Having Hank on top of everyone else would mean someone would be pushed to the side and there would be too many geniuses in the picture. I think EMH portrayed this well in contrast only because Bruce wasn’t a main character and it was mostly only the Hulk. If anything, if Hank was in the story, Bruce would have been sidelined. Bruce’s presence was filler for Hank in a way. Necessary sacrifices had to be made and that’s okay.

The second way would to be introduce Hank during Age of Ultron, a scientist who has been in the background who created Ultron and the Avengers have to defeat him with his help. But, at this point in the story, it would have been too late to introduce another main Avenger and would not make sense to have someone appear from nowhere. In addition, Tony was the most popular character and it made the most sense for him to be the creator of Ultron as much as it snubs Hank’s character. He was the true creator and literally Ultron looks that way because it’s supposed to look like an ant.💀 However I did of course enjoy Age of Ultron. Establishing Tony’s fear of the unknown and an incessant need to keep the world save from the beginning of his story pipelined very nicely into him being the creator of Ultron.

It’s all very interesting and unfortunate because things happened the way they were not for fan service or to be true to the comics, but what was most popular. And that is the reality of making Marvel a big cinematic franchise, there is going to be sacrifices to things we would have appreciated to see on screen.

At the end of the day, I do believe the decision to leave him out was “the right thing to do,” but only for the MCU. Without Iron man, the whole thing wouldn’t really exist and Scott Lang was something “different,” then the rest of the heroes and repetition in this format is doomed to fail.

Ultimately, I just really wished they didn’t cancel EMH. I honestly would be just happy if Hank and Janet are least were able to finish their story’s in the show and there would never be an urge to see a reboot with a young version of them on the big screen. The version of Hank in EMH was a really creative take on fixing the character and in the MCU they just never gave him a chance. The biggest shame is not giving Wasp a real spot in the Avengers as well, she literally gave them the name “Avengers.”

Anyways I digress.

For laughs and giggles I think there are some really good casting opportunities for Hank and Janet if they ever get their debut movie. (Which probably won’t happen at this point.)

One can wish though.

GranEssex Live Konoa Reaction (part 1)

Henlo I am deciding to do a live reading of @kachikirby ‘s series GranEssex Chronicles

I’m gonna try and go through the entire series, starting with the first book, “Wings of Beginning”

This is my first full-on live blogging(?) post, so idk if theres any way I should be doing it but f*ck it we ball

Anyway there’s a lot of text so behind a cut it goes!

(SPOILER WARNING cuz i’ll also be talking about what goes down in the book to give context for my ramblings)

Chapter 1

Note: Gonna try to use punctuation for now but this will probably disintegrate as time goes on (me hate punctuation on tumblr blog ooga booga). Also this live blog is pretty summary-heavy, but I’ll try to tone that down in future posts.

I’ve technically read up until chapter 4, but I’m gonna go ahead and backtrack to look over the previous chapters again and give my reaction on those :D it would feel weird to just start it halfway through anyway. The chapter opens up with Kurabe (if u don’t know who that is you should probably go check out Kachi’s account) going on a mission to eliminate a criminal group only to see that everyone’s just been absolutely bodied by some blue toddler with a stick. Kurabe’s like, “hey I need to take u in for questioning” and the kid is like “nuh uh” and tries clubbing her to death, but obviously Kurabe is stronger so she just blocks him. Even though I was only, like, two sentences in, my attention was already grabbed; I was very excited to see what happened next :D Anyway, Kurabe gets one of her swords knocked out of her hand by the kid, and she’s just like “ah.” But then she teleports behind him and chops him in the back of the head with her hand, causing the kid to faint. I was kinda surprised that she just knocked him out like that, but I guess it makes sense because she had a job to do lmao. Anyway she gets back to her ship and Mercury is there and, upon seeing the child, is just like “HUH”. Kurabe says that he’s fine and only has minor injuries, so she goes to her room to patch him up a little. She wondered why someone would leave their kid on a planet with so much criminal activity, and I honestly agreed because I was just as confused 💀 who leaves a whole toddler on the planetary equivalent of Detroit??? Insane, bro. So anyway she cleans him up and after he wakes up, Kurabe says good morning to him and the kid just immediately goes

Anyway, Kurabe tells him to calm down and asks his name, to which the child responds, “Meta.” It was pretty much implied from the start that this was Meta Knight, but I was still like “OOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ITS HIM” Anyway cue Meta being suspicious of Kurabe and Kurabe trying her best to calm him down. I’m watching this whole interaction go down and honestly wondering if Meta’s just gonna straight up maul Kurabe, but thankfully he doesn’t. Kurabe’s maternal urges start taking over and she offers to raise Meta- err, I meannn… train him (because I can’t imagine it would be good to send him back to space Detroit 💀) and Meta asks if he can stay on her ship forever. Kurabe is like “yeah sure” and then after talking, she helps show him around his new room and then they sit down and have a meal together. The image of Meta playing with the spaghetti was really cute :D Meta makes mention of Kurabe’s sword and Kurabe tells him that she’d train him. However, she did warn him that he training was so intense that students have quit or even DIED because of it (which is…. Scary /not neg). He agrees to the training. Meta then got kinda tired so he went to go to sleep, and as Kurabe was tucking him in, he grabs onto her and they end up falling asleep together :DD Overall this was a very cute chapter and it does a great job of grabbing the attention.
