Timeline-

Inko dies + Sensei gains Midoryia

Leauge members introduced 

Midoryia comes to UA (meets Mei and Shinsou)

Shinsou is adopted by LOV 

Also Mei knew he was a villain because "You REALLY need to get your mumbling under control"

Meets Mirio (hints to audience)

Shinsou gets rejected by Hero committee and turns to Villiany

"Suko" starts hanging out with Tomura

Kids he picked gets to make support weapons for/Meet Todoroki "It's your quirk dumbass"

Sports festival he doesn't participate (too much attention) But wants to help Mei and Shinsou

Stands to the side to repair weapons and ends up talking to Todoroki in the hall, interrupts Endevour and is like "You okay"? and "You know your not him- I know you aren't using fire out of spite, but what's more spiteful than using what he thinks he gave you as your own separate from what he wants"

Stain attacks Ingenium

Tomura wants to bring on Stain, Midoryia is like "Kinda bad ideas but I support you"

Midoryia is trying to track down Stain and finds him fighting Ilda, He sends a location to Ildas first emergency contact (turns out to be Todoroki since their classmates and family is close)

Todoroki shows up

"Kakumei" saves Ilda with Todorkis help then disappears, telling Ilda vengeance isn't the awnser and hes an example of whats wrong with heros, going to their own self interest before his duty,he should focus on saving people (native)

And then Todoroki "Good on you using what that bastard gave you" the vanishing

In the process Tomura gets hurt so Suko swoops in to heal him (Midoryia starts suspecting) and is battling between wanting to respect his secret identity and also figuring out if he's a threat

Todoroki grows closer to Midoryia, gains a crush, comes out to Fuyumi who tells his dad. Endeavor is surprisingly accepting until he's like "I don't mind you indulging in Highschool, but once you graduate and join my agency we'll look into getting you a nice girl with a strong quirk to continue the legacy"

Has a whole breakdown he will never escape and tries to kill himself (not as direct/vivid)

Sees Dabi, gets saved, taken to Leauge hideout and sees Midoryia and Shinsou

They explain and he's like "You know what fuck it I'm in"

Todoroki and Midoryia grow even closer and as he's finishing his Lil Support weapons thing he ends up with a freaked out Shinsou who just goes "Kaminari- he knows- I don't know how he just said he wants to talk"

Their's scared Todoroki betrayed them but NOPE apparently Kaminari just found out and was like "You guys are fun- just wanted to let you know be careful"

Todoroki hanging around eventually runs inro Suko and outs him as Todoroki Natsou and a backstory later Midoryia and Tomura are both determined to have Endevour killed (also Todoroki trio reunion)

Kaminari is dragged along because scary- Turns out he's a really good hacker and doesn't mind helping the villains

Tomura is suspicious of him then Kamis like "Yeah I'm a diagnosed Psychopath- I don't have emotions, I do things because I want too, and you guys are fun and Midoryia has interesting tasks so I like helping"

Midoryia gets summoned by the doctor to discuss the "copy cat boy", the doctor explaining Monomas quirk was close enough with Senseis some of his DNA could help him reverse engineer a new "vessel" basically healing Sensei

He's hesitant- but the sheer prospect of saving their sensei is too good to pass up.

Todoroki informs them about the upcoming training camp with both class A and class B (without the previous villian attack, UA doesn't have as strong a reason to keep it secret)

Midoryia begins working on more nomus and support items for the group- wanting to keep their people safe while planning out how to kidnap Monoma.

He ends up coming up with a plan to have Tomura hire some guys he doesn't like or are easily disposable, tell them the target is Todoroki, Tokoyami, and Kaachan.

Making it seem like their after the top scoring students from the Sports Festival.

Meanwhile the core group is targeting Monoma specifically, knowing even if one of the other people got kidnapped they'd just stage "losing them" or allow Bakugou/Tokoyami to beat them.

The whole group focuses on fake targeting the top 3 while Midoryia as Kakumei targets Monoma- he tries copying his quirk to defend himself only to realize it wasn't working

|

Succeed in taking Monoma which no one notices until their regrouping with other pros showing up to help.

Midoryia let's Tomura take over since he's dressed up as Kakumei.

Doctor takes a sample and it's determined that he's actually not close enough to be a viable "host specimen"

Kakumei apologizes for taking him and explains that he'll be knocked out and let go

Momo still managed to get the tracker on the nomu, so the lab goes under attack,

Kurogiri starts trying to teleport people away before he's knocked out by some of the rubble.

Midoryia and his friends hide and are protected by his "Bunny" Nomu, Toga keeping Monoma close so he doesn't get hurt in the chaos

AFO shows up and begins fighting, he uses his quirk to force portal activation on Kurogiri and sends everyone through the portal (minus monoma-) In the process he sends All Might flying, approaching Shigiraki and Midoryia and placing his hands on their shoulders

"Be safe my sons- Once again, I let the illusion of time get the best of me" and gives them both a quirk

Tomura gets a regeneration ability

Midoryua gets All for one

He shoves them through the portal and they meet their friends on the other side watching the TV

Midoryia struggles to stay awake but the moment he sees Sensei collapsed onto the ground defeated with All Mights hand raised in victory he blacks out.

Cut to Monoma being interviewed by Aizawa, Detective, and All Might comforting him

He says "I thought his sons were scary- but All for one is terrifying"

All Might is like "Wait his sons"!?

Monoma is like "You didn't know!?- Yes, Nakemono and Kakumei were what they went by, I heard Nakemono scream for his dad and AFO told him to watch after his brother"

Trio are stuck in silence- reeling over the fact that despite AFOs defeat his children were still a feasible threat

"Well it's not like they could be anywhere as OP as his quirk right"?

WRONG but they don't know that <33

Monoma also admits he tried to copy Kakumeiki quirk to defend himself but that it didn't work-

They get more questi9ns how his quirk works and maybe he just wasn't able to harness it but he stresses he would be able to feel something- but it was a complete dud

Aizawa brings up if the villain could be quirkless but gets laughed off by All Mighy

Midoryia didn't want a quirk

So he can still STEAL quirks- but he can't use them, instead he can gift them and even combine quirks 

And Tomuras regenative ability not only works on himself, but can help him reverse damage he does with Disintegration.

Won't help if something is completely dust, but if it just begins to crack and fade away he can fix it

Midoryia also now has naturally white hair, Tomura joking that they match, meanwhile he's like "now I need to dye it and that's annoying" but it helps with identity since he lets Kakumeis hair be white

UA is more chaotic and Midoryia runs into Monoma who flinched, he asks if he's okay and Monoma apologizes and just says he reminded him of someone.

Midoryia panicked at first but keeps cool and is like "It's understandable you'll be jumpy- you went through something no one should have to- but your gonna be a hero right? If anything this experience will help you understand the people you want to help"

Momoma instantly relaxed because Midoryoa is the first person not to pity him or act like he's weak- that how can he be so upset when he's meant to be a hero

But Midoryia instead goes "Yeah you went through something awful- it's going to be bad for a while, but thus will find a place in your story"

Also Lab was DESTROYED by heros, and the Doctor arrested, so Midoryia goes back and manages to find a briefcase sealed in a brick wall full of hard drives 

Begins going through the files with Kaminari trying to recover as much research as he can

Ends up discovering "Project- Vessel"

AKA the Senseis plan to raise Tomura as a new host in the future and later revealing he was the bio dad for Midoryia and helped orchestrate Inkos murder once he was "viable" for being a vessel since only quirkless bodies can handle the force of AFO or OFA without rapid deterioration

Over the years reportts measuring the two for who would be the "best" to take over and other to remain to grow- that one brother would "win" the right to keep living over the other

Midoryia has a breakdown feeling betrayed and conflicted, Todoroki manages to calm him down and bring him home where Tomura demands to know what's wrong

Midoryia gives him the files while sobbing and Tomura just *breaks*

End of what I wrote but secrets revealed-

Suko is Natsou, Endevor was going to end up dead, Midoryia was going to take down both Sensei AND All might, combine the two quirks, and destroy them both- ensuring a "Happy ending" for his whole family

One of my favorite choices the Apothecary Diaries made was making the Emperor a “normal guy” (as far as I know as an anime-only). He’s not evil. He’s not hindering Mao Mao’s journey. He respects the concubines.

If anything his lack of autonomy and presence as the most powerful person in the country further enhances the show’s themes of working within the confines of class and gender inequality.

The previous emperor was a horrible, horrible pervert. Okay, then this emperor only weds women of age… Until he’s forced to take his father’s precious wife due to politics. The current emperor reasonably avoids her.

Eunuchs exist? Bam! now the surgery is outlawed, but this will create a reduction in male labor around the palace.

The emperor clearly favors few women. Well, now he must recognize a concubine with a powerful politician father playing the system.

He supports Mao Mao toeing the line of social expectations for women, but hasn’t removed the law against women preparing medicine. It makes one think, if he wanted to, could he make the change at all? For every two steps forward, he’s forced to take one step back.

In this universe even the Emperor is limited by social pressure and the expectations of his station. His life and that of his children is out of his control, and if that isn’t such a compelling piece of world building I don’t know what is.

If that’s how the author twists the narrative of the Emperor you better believe her female characters dealing with women’s issues in this society are even better written.
