A specific version of a dish called “Chicken Angelo” from a recipe my grandma stole from a restaurant decades ago (iconic behavior ngl). Chicken, artichokes, and mushrooms in a thin white wine butter sauce over pasta.

Polska kielbasa + egg noodles with toasted buttered bread + peas

Ribeye steak + baked potato with so much butter + asparagus

Full barbecue or cookout spread—baby back pork ribs or burgers or a big side of salmon; baked beans and potato salad and roasted corn on the cob and a veggie platter with dip and like 4 different bags of chips

Soup and a crusty bread with butter for dipping

oh, easily the couch scene in warm water when beth watches new girl with rio and aria. what a pair of idiots 😠 rips my heart out every time, and now i wanna reread it again😌✨

that was one of the first scene ideas i had for that fic!!! i thought hmm what greater betrayal than discovering someone you're watching a show with has already seen the new episode??

initially that was supposed to be something light, just an idea for a throwaway line, i didnt have much planned for it. and then aria was born and i saw an opportunity for Pain

i wrote about 20k of warm water (non-linearly bc i love chaos) before publishing the first chapter and im pretty sure i had this scene written at that point? then i had an epiphany and this scene became the first scene i tackled when i had a rewriting surge bc of said epiphany. i started considering the emotional truths of every scene and just.....started injecting Feelings and Pain anywhere i could ??

and so chapter 11 as it exists today was born. im very glad to hear it rips your heart out bc that’s what i was going for 💖

Mmhm gg trivia with @lindybot, read, plan some shit for my creative writing course, etc. Still can't go outside (waiting for my second dose in early August) and have a drink like a normal human being. And she’s looking down at him, at his blown pupils, and his lips swollen from her bite, and she sees that something blissful again when the corners of his reddened lips pull into a soft smile while she moans as he moves inside her, as they both get closer to the edge.

The pull of his lips pulls on the dread coating her lungs until it’s in the back of her throat and she feels like she’s drowning. Because the ice is melting from their inferno and breaking off and crumbling around them and there’s a fracture right beneath them, but Rio doesn’t even know. He’s in a bliss built on lies.

She feels her eyes sting as if shards of the ice have ricocheted and hit them and her hands shake as she clutches onto him and buries her face in his neck as she lets out choked-off moans, on the precipice. And he meets her there. At the edge. In perfect harmony as they fall off together.

6. describe your dream home

IT DEPENDS on which coast (realistically i'll only ever be able to live in america so i dream realistically and then watch house hunters international).... because i love both and have people i love on both sides of the county. it's late and i'm way into this question because one of my hobbies is trolling zillow for funsies! so here we go: non-negotiable: no new builds. good light. gas appliances. west coast: mid-century modern. something so cool and swanky it would be in a movie about surviving the apocalypse. all one level (+ secret bunker [for the aforementioned apocalypse]). open concept. carpet. a pool. mirrors in every weird space. a fun breezeblock wall. east coast: colonial/victorian. hardwood floors. a fun/creepy basement and/or attic that i'll never go into. a porch. so, so many windows, all of them drafty. garden space: i throw something in the ground and it grows. the local stray cats just gravitate to my lot. built-in shelves. walking distance to a wawa.
