Mydei and Phainon are, as everyone knows, competing about everything. And on Easter?? The tradition of Tsoúgrisma would be a personal war between them.

The red dyed eggs sat in a gorgeous glass bowl in between the two men. Intense glares flashed between them. “Three, two, one! Go!!”, Tribbie exclaimed cheerfully as each of the men grabbed an egg out of the bowl. Mydei held his below, as Phainon got ready to smash his.

“Χρηστός ανέστη, haikas. Get ready to loose.”

“Αληθός ανέστη. We will see about loosing, now won’t we?”

Phainon’s egg collided with Mydei’s with a loud CRACK!, and after quickly checking which one ended up cracking…

“One point for Phainon!!”, Tribbie’s overly-excited announcement had some of the other Chrysos Heirs turning to witness the spectacle.

“See Mydei? Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you”, Phainon’s shit-eating grin flashed before Mydei, who already grabbed the next one. “Tch, I let you win that one. Just so you won’t cry too hard after we’re done here.”

Aglaea sighed. This was going to be a long afternoon.

“Wait a minute - who is going to eat all those eggs!? Don’t tell me you’re gonna compete on that, too!”

In honour of Easter this year! As a Greek, I had to write about this scenario. For those who don’t know - tsoúgrisma is a tradition where Easter eggs are crashed against each other (head to head; afterwards butt to butt), where you first say Χρηστός ανέστη (Christós anésti; Christ has risen) and then Αληθός ανέστη (Alithós anésti; He truly is risen)

I was afraid I’d lose him. So I got there late. And… as I entered, I saw him about to take pictures by himself. The first thing that I felt was… I wanted to hug him. No matter how bad I was to him, he’s still there for me. Every time that I’ve fallen or torn apart, he always runs up to me. He’ll come running and hug me. Hey. Don’t want to start discourse especially as someone who goes by the mentality of “ship and let ship”. (And especially as someone who’s not even involved in the fandom for this show and has no idea what would come my way by sharing my own sentiments on this.) But I’ve never seen any appledash shippers complain about rarijack shippers as much as I’ve seen rarijack shippers complain about appledash shippers. I’ve actually hardly seen as many vocal and devout appledash shippers as rarijack shippers. So I find it weird how it’s treated like the rarijack shippers are some victimized minority within the fandom.

I keep seeing fanarts of ppl's OC's being on the ship, so do you think that if there was 6st crewmember (specifically, another woman) Anya would've been more safe? Like, someone to actually call Jimmy's begaviour out, someone Anya might wanna trust? Is there a possibility something might have changed (even if a little) or it would not have mattered at all?

I feel like the game would make it part of the commentary on where she would believe and help Anya but still be sort of dismissive? Like the whole “don’t waste time crying and being scared keep going and move on, don’t let him win”. It’s supposed to be positive and reinforcing but sometimes it does more damage in those times of mourning and grief, it feels patronizing, like you don’t understand what you’re going through but they do. Even if they did call out his behavior it’s still on Curly to act and while another voice would help, it’s still 4 against 2 on guys that don’t get it until they have to vs women who always have to.

I don’t mind mouthwashing OCs but I do get a bit bored as they tend to be borderline saviors or like Jimmy aligned. They are either more complicit than Curly or just Jimmy haters for no reason, outside of what the creators know about what he did to Anya. I am never irked by OCs but in a story like mouthwashing you really need to think about what your character adds to the commentary, especially if they are there during the crash. It’s nice to have like characters on Anya’s side more whole heartedly and interesting to see characters who placate Jimmy but sometimes it’s one note.

I can’t and don’t want to police peoples OCs it’s never my intention when I comment on trends I notice, but I do feel like the way people make their OCs interact with these two characters and especially Curly, really show a grave misunderstanding of the narrative and these characters as people vs roles in the story. Still, I know people just make up characters for fun and that’s fine. Great even, but I guys I’m focusing more on OCs that are supposed to have those serious dynamics. My favs tend to be pretty-Tulpar or post-Tulpar au OCs.

The inevitably of the crash is on Jimmy. He did that not because he wasn’t stopped but because all his means to kill Anya were taken. The gun, the axe. Even if Curly did strip him of his co-pilot privileges and try to keep him contained there’s only so many people. An extra body helps but they have jobs they have to do, he’s the only one steering the whole ship and Jimmy would likely have an out: food, bathroom, etc. He’s not new and if he couldn’t crash the ship directly, who’s to say he wouldn’t sabotage something else? A clunker like the Tulpar wouldn’t take much. An extra person helps but it’s just another thing that prolongs what a person like Jimmy is willing to do to shirk responsibility.

It’s more than just needing someone to stand up to him and think that’s what is missing when it comes to inserting a character into the mouthwashing setting.

- fav character? That's a hard one... I love the main three a lot, Lancer too!! Also characters like Queen, Jevil and Spamton, they're so randomly hilarious and cool!! But I'd probably go for Susie or Ralsei? I can't choose!!!!

- ughhhggffdmmm hmmmm ok so I love how chapter 1 sets up the whole game and introduces everything, but I really love chapter 2 with all the cutscenes and new characters (Noelle and Berdy) in the darkworld!! I think I'll choose chapter 1 tho? It felt really amazing playing it for the first time! Also Suzie character development 👌

- NOT THE SONGS I CAN'T CHOOSE THEY'RE ALL SO GOOD!! Ok, BUUUUT, Beginning literally made me tear up, best intro song ever. Same goes for A Cybers World, the synced dodging and the beat drop stunned me like crazy... But then of course the boss fights!!? SO COOL!!? Also that one really short piece when Kris is sealing a fountain... I feel like I've been enlightened and have found pure awesomeness...

- ok and me finding out about Deltarune is pretty weird, confused memories. BUT I know I thought it was another UT AU! XD, I saw a comic and only now am I realising it was set in Deltarune!! Teenage Asriel was there, there was a mixed up Chara Frisk?? (Yeah Kris) Toriel and Asgore were still together and THEY WERE ALL ON THE SURFACE!?? Then I saw it was a real game and found it on steam and ACCIDENTALLY got it. Not even kidding I don't know how but it DOWNLOADED ITSELF I clicked something I don't know??? Was super scared and excited, especially with that starting stuff XD

This was definitely a good year AFTER I found out about Undertale I think...

- yes I did fight both of them!! So proud of myself cuz I didn't need to look up anything on how to fight/find them!! XD They were hard, but really fun too!! I have great memories from the Spamton fight cuz I was kinda stuck on him, then my sibling came and we joined forces to defeat him!! I was dodging the bullets, sib was shooting. I tell you that made it one of the best and coolest battles ever!! and we did it FIRST TRY!!! (We also kept having turns with the headphones to listen to the music!! I kept yapping that the Dummy theme was in there!!?)

- OK I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S COMING SERIOUSLY, with the new trailer tho, all I know is that it looks AWESOME!! (Of course it does!!) Buuuuut, i hope every chapter brings a new pair of characters into the darkworld (like Susie, Kris in chapter 1, Noelle, Berely in chapter 2) maybe more too!! I'd LOVE to see Toriel in the darkworld!! I'm almost 99.8% sure that she Has to be there in chapter 3... (Maybe Undyne too??) I think there might be a bit of insight into the whole Asgore leaving the police force situation, or I'd hope so... I doubt we'll get a Who's the Knight reveal yet.. :(

But apart from speculation I know there'll be epic boss fights, funny cutscenes, AWESOME NEW CHARACTERS AND MUSIC and moments which will probably make me want to rip my heart out and throw in a puddle and cry and eat chalk and moss for the rest of my life.

Going to reply to this first comment by @dragonqwq before I go over to answering the asks sent since my absence:

First of all Holy moly, I had to shrink the size of my tablet's font to get this whole comment to fit! Usually I don't have to when using my tablet with its larger screen, but not this time! (And I don't say this as a bad thing, I say this very excidedly and happy, like, I love how long it is hgjkfksf)

Secondly Remember when I said that there are probably several plot holes to this au because I didn't plan this out further than angsty dragon thoughts and that's why I didn't want to post about it because it ment (to me) fixing these problems and I didn't want to bother with it? Yeah, this and an ask about how he got his fuel is one of those plot holes (though I somewhat got an answer to that one now).

I honestly completely forgot about that part. The t-cog part, I mean. I can't remember the knowing age by plating thing, best I recall was that he asked Swerve to carbon-date Tailgate to figure out how old he is exactly, but he could tell he was old by the way he was built. Idk if there are other instances as I've been strickly reading MTMTE so far, and I'm not done with it either.

But that's besides the point.

You're right, Ratchet would have more theories that's close to the truth about our dragony boy over here than Drift. He'd probably have his suspicions way early on, too.

I can't remember if I explained already in other posts about what it is that they find in the archives? I feel like I have, but I might have also kept it stuck in DMs. Honestly, I just made such a dump of the lore, I have no clue what I've shared and what I haven't by this point fksdklsdlsd So I'll say it here. But what they find has the implications that the Dragon is an amalgamation of different bots and mechs and aliens. Which is, in part, true. At least for how the outer layers and some of the upgrades he has that are more animal like came to be, but most of Rodimus has remained intact and it's more like an armour upgrade than anything. They just had to add and buff him out so that he could handle such a massive upgrade without extinguishing his spark, since he isn't exactly a load bearer.

But what they found was an older -- failed -- experiment. The reason it fails? Because of personality conflict. There were too many minds melded together and the painful merge of so many anguished minds overwhelmed the body and they all died. However, they didn't get the full log before they were on the run, a lot of it also already having been redected. So the assumption they're currently in is that, maybe Rodimus is there, but if he is, he either isn't aware or has become something completely unrecognisable, with only parts of him peaking out. And it doesn't help with him mostly acting pretty animal like for the most part, sometimes driven purely by instinct. Though most of it comes from Rodimus being now very jaded and traumatized rather than being fully beast.

Is there seven hunded different plot holes in that explanation as well? Yeah, probably. I didn't say it was a good explanation, just what I had dfjsksdksl If ya'll have better ideas, I'm all ears 😂

Now, about Ratchet fixing Rodimus up ... it's as you said, invasive, and a big part of the au is them trying to gain Rodimus' trust. He would check for any damage that could have made him act out, but by the point that incident happaned, he already knew he had a broken T-cog. Why haven't they fixed him yet? Because he gets violent. Every time he's deeply injured, it's a fight to settle him down enough to get him patched up. Ratchet would absolutely want to fix everything at once, but if they push it, they might never see the Dragon again. He already felt betrayed and vanished for days when Ratchet first tried to operate on him and it's where there's an emphasis on him trusting Drift more than Ratchet (besides the fact the two originally left on a sour note and Rodimus feeling uncomfortable and hesitant to be around Ratchet, but Ratchet doesn't know that part yet).

He hates having his insides proded without his knowladge as to what is going to be done. He's heard too many "it's for your own good" and "this will make you feel better!" to trust them anymore.

He knows, logically, Ratchet wouldn't actually harm him. He trusts Ratchet. But sometimes trauma is louder than logic, and he has too many new instincts and emotions to control on his own. He snaps and loses control easily.

I actually had the idea that when Rodimus allows Ratchet to finally fix his t-cog, it's a big deal, and mostly where the plot is leading up to for the big reveal. They already have their major suspicions, and start treating him more like Rodimus. However, there is still reason to be guarded and wondering if grief is playing tricks on their minds. It was the final confirmation they needed and it's a biiiiiig emotional moment for the story. And I kinda wanna write it dksks.

I am sooooo flattered to hear that! I would honestly love to give you, but I'm already working on three seperate long stories (two fics, one comic) so I'm putting a limit there lol.

The only reason I haven't is because like... they were written for only one person to see, and that was my friend who I've dumped this whole au to. But seeing as an interest has grown for this au, I might.
