Started veiling again yesterday for Lent, and oh my gosh I missed it so much, I'm so glad I chose to veil again for a Lenten practice this year 🩷

I'd be even happier if it fucking stayed in place where I pinned it, though.

. . . listen, I gave up ice cream for my fast this year (a popular go-to dessert in my house that happens to be my favorite indulgence) and meat in Friday's and Holy days, not swearing.

Veiling and modesty are so comfortable to me. It makes me feel a little more human, a little more alive. I feel so grateful that I'm able to veil, that it's part of my life, that I have friends that do, too. It's hard where I am, the father I have. But it's so worth it, in exchange the veil also protects me. It's an irremovable part of my identity, even when I'm not wearing a head covering.

Here is more of Fiona. The group helped them go deeper into the forest and found the archive. Beating an ogre. Then, heading back to the Veil jumpers to get Harding. Harding and Fiona are so dang cute. Then they all went to the next village. Bellara ran into her lost Veil jumper friends. They told Fiona and the group the gods' plans. Then the mayor showed up. More on that in tomorrows post. I also have been thinking about it and wanted Fiona to go by their name but also a shortened version as a nickname. I decided on Fia for all future posts.
