Summary:

Can I request Sal or maybe Larry taking care of SO with depression? Could use some of that, kinda in the middle of a depressive episode rn.

I'm so sorry @nonbinarypirate , *hug* depressive episodes can be rough. Just remember that you're loved and valued, take care of yourself, and get plenty of rest. I'm gonna write headcanons for Sal, because my head is really full with Toby stuff RN, but I wanted to get this posted, considering the situation 💙.

Sal understands depression

He's got it too and the pills he's supposed to take for it don't exactly make him feel better

But they don't make him feel worse either

He's probably going to do everything for you that he would do for himself when he's having a rough time.

He's gonna make a nest for you to relax in and then wait on you hand and foot.

When Sal has a depressive episode, he gets really achy, so he has a bottle of lavender essential oil spray that helps with muscle relaxation

He'll spray you down with it and spend copious amounts of time rubbing it into your muscles until you're a puddle

Sal knows you probably don't feel like eating, so he tries to make some of your favorite foods

He follows the recipes to a tee and nervously brings it to you and you two share it while watching mindless cartoons with Gizmo.

It actually turned out perfectly, better than when you make it in your opinion

His go to during this is to make you laugh as much as possible. Laughter is the best medicine and Sally boy really hams it up

He'll smoke you out if you smoke, or maybe make it into tea or muffins.

Sal's gonna make sure you don't neglect your self care.

He'll run a shower or bath and pull you in with him and wash your hair and body until your skin is squeaky clean (and kinda red tinted from scrubbing)

He lets you wear his clothes when you're like this, knowing his scent makes you feel better

Will talk to you about literally anything. Sal has never been a judgmental person. Let it all out, cry, scream if you need to.

He's still gonna be there holding you when you're done.

Gets Larry and Ash to draw you little comics. He doodles some for you too, but theirs are much better to him

In short

Sally doesn't really have this depression thing figured out

But he'll grab a flashlight and some breadcrumbs and help navigate you both out of the messes in your minds
