>> So heard that April’s Autism Awareness month! Time to celebrate OOAC’s two main characters, Sean and Pearl, who are both on the spectrum ♾️🧡💖✨

Note:

> Sean has level 1 ASD needs! So he doesn’t struggle a whole lot often as much as Pearl does; however, he still struggles on picking up social cues (something that he and Pearl struggle with from time to time with eachother), likes to fidget with his prawn staches, and loves hyperfixating on fantasy-based RPGs! He and Rina’ used to play fantasy board games back in their days

> Pearl has much more severe needs compared to Sean. She requires some form of pressure (which helps her feel stimulated, or calm!) Hence, why she wears a pressure pad on her chest most of the time. She also loves hugs! Especially tight-pressure types of hugs (since she suffers from understimulation with her type of ASD). She also has textural food issues (such as hating to eat mayo), struggles more with social cues, and hates crowded places (or overstimulating events, such as Splatfests). She hyperfixates on plushies, technology, and cute things in general!

(Note: If anyone else is also on the spectrum, feel free to discuss with me on the accuracy of these portrayals! I’m always happy for feedback and such! ^_^ 💖)

• After all the pain and suffering I had gone through in my life so far, from my college struggles, to figuring myself out… I made it out alive.

I finally learned to breathe, take in the chaotic yet beautiful world I live in, and accept things I can’t change… Without the support of all of my friends, family, everyone that I love and care for… I wouldn’t be here.

I also thank myself: for fighting on and on to keep moving forward, to take care of myself when I need to, and to just live.

If not for my “Octo Order and Control” AU, I wouldn’t be here. I dedicate this day, my own birthday on the 15th as an anniversary for all the hard work and talent that’s been put into this crazy project. From all the support that’s been garnered (no matter how small or big it was), this AU was my lifeline. And I hope, for many others in various ways as well…
