“Hmmm…” a half asleep Atom murmured, at the slight tugs to his scalp. It took a good six or seven minutes for him to wake up enough to register that something was doing something to his hair, and he jerked away spontaneously, flailing.

Alan yawned as she fiddled with her sniper rifle, the fire in front of her beginning to burn low, though her focus was planted on her rifle and she had no intention of getting up just yet. Dogmeat's head pivoted at every sound, guarding his distracted owner.

It wasn't until a deep growl escaped him that Alan's hand landed on her pistol, and her eyes flew around the area they were seated in.

       “ when you say ‘alien’ do you truly mean ‘not of this earth’? ” the scholar was able to recognize several definitions of the word; ‘alien’ sometimes meant that which was odd or unusual - himself, for example -, but considering the story, goris was able to piece together a far more outlandish definition. even with his cloak, it was evident that the silhouette tilted his head in curiosity; she did not seem out of sorts at all. in fact, she seemed mentally sound from what he’d already gathered - though these things weren’t always visible or prominent.
