About — You thought you had a good idea who your beloved Dan Heng truly is. A kindhearted, caring, and loving man, but not in the whole universe a vampire!!

A/N — Halloween fic!! I wrote this during the busiest time for me...anyways!! hopefully this makes up no fic for September.. FYI I used both Stelle & Caelus so pick which one u prefer as trailblazer!

Word Count — 617

You thought you understood your beloved Dan Heng since his reveal of his past and moving forward with it. Patient for him and still loving him for how he is not caring what he may had done in his past, you can see he is trying to move forward forgetting that old him. Dan Heng felt more in love with you because of how patient and caring you are with him. Sometimes he believes he doesn’t deserve you and your kindness to not get involve with both his internal conflict of his past and external conflict of still being seen as Dan Feng.

So when you were gonna kiss Dan Heng you notice something pointy sticking out when he gave a small wide smiled at you, and how almost pale he looks as well. You being curious as you never notice or even seen him have any sharp pointy teeth before when he reveals a wide smile to you. Or look pale at all today. “Dan Heng, did you ever have any sharp pointy teeth? You seem a little pale as well are you okay?” Dan Heng was shocked and startled from your surprise question. He didn’t think you would notice any changes to him physically so soon, he thought he would have a week to think how to tell you. “I don’t really have any sharp pointy teeth..I was planning on telling you but I don’t really know how and knowing you, you probably would freak out a little why.” You became confused and a little worried. Dan Heng’s words made you think what he means by “freak out a little” is it something bad!? Is he sick and hiding it from you?? Seeing by your face Dan Heng let out a small sigh and example.

“I was walking with March 7th and Stelle/Caelus when March spotted this shiny object. It turns out it was some potion of something we didn’t know at the time until Stelle/Caelus snatched the potion out of March 7th’s hands. They kept fighting and it spilled where I almost caught it in the air where it landed on top of me and spilled on top of me. Turns out the potion is making someone a vampire when touched or drank from the label on the back..” Dan Heng looked to the side to see some of his books on the shelf out of embarrassment. “W-wait what!?” “Don’t yell so loud [Name].” Dumbfounded by what you just heard, a potion that turned your boyfriend into a vampire that March, Stelle/Caelus and Dan Heng didn’t realize until it hit onto Dan Heng!? How in the world did it get to this?! “This is crazy! How in the world did this even happen! Do you only have the features of a vampire or fully feel like one? This is so confusing.” Dan Heng reassures you. “I only have the features like the fangs and strong smell, I’m not fully one and it said it would wear off after 2 days.” After explaining that all to you Dan Heng began to nuzzle his head into your shoulder and hold you close, wanting to explain more of how he became a vampire was also puzzling to him for being with 2 chaotic people who cause him to be a temporary vampire.

“Are your fangs actually sharp and pointy? Can I see them I only saw a tiny glimpse-” Suddenly you were startled by Dan heng gently biting into your skin to stop your questions on looking at his new vampire features. “You know you didn’t have to dig your teeth into me to drink my blood?” You said teasingly. Dan Heng only looked at you deadpan.

Uranus, what are you thinking? (JIB2) | Analysis pt2

TW: Manipulation Hello! I'm (surprisingly) back with a part two. In the first part I tried to cover the drama around Jupiter returning. Now, I'd like to talk about Uranus trying to change his name to Caelus. I for one can 100% see why he would want to change his name. However, I really don't agree with how he has gone about it or how he has been characterized in general. A good majority of people now despise Uranus with a burning passion, and as a long time Uranus fan I can't say I agree, but even I am starting to dislike him. And the Solarballs team is trying to villainize him, so in that sense they've done a great job. Okay, so one of the big reasons that Uranus has gotten to have a terrible reputation is the way he is going about changing his name. He is being really aggressive with anyone who isn't calling him Caelus. (I'm not calling him Caelus because uhmm... Habit? Gosh my reasons sound like something that Rotsar guy would say ;;) If he wanted to have a respectable name change then, he could CALMLY tell people his preferred name as well as his reasons. Another reason people aren't a fan of Uranus is because he has become hostile to his moons and Neptune in particular as well as, basically, anyone that isn't X. Neptune, having done NOTHING wrong, is being forced into constant arguments about, really, nothing. As a good friend of mine pointed out to me recently, his personality, which used to be very loyal, has done a complete 180. Okay but that's enough for the things that he did wrong. Now, I'd like to try and explain why he might have done these things.

Uranus has obviously never liked his name since literally his creation - Keep in mind in BB2, when he first introduces himself to Neptune we can see he is visibly uncomfortable. Not to mention, in (Uhmm I forgot which episode it was in ;;) Uranus tells Neptune that he wishes he was included in events, even if he didn't partake in them, just the chance to. So, when X comes to Uranus, who has felt uncomfortable with his name, orbit as well as his atmosphere for billions of years, of course he would listen to him. This made it easy for X to manipulate Uranus. X offered to change Uranus's name and orbit which, Uranus believed, would fix all of the problems he had. When Neptune and Uranus fight (T-T), Uranus loses his major support in the Solar System and when X left, he understandably, went a bit mad. So, given all that I can't say I'm overly surprised that Uranus decided to leave the Solar System. He felt that no one cared for him, other then X and that everyone was just making fun of him. He's become very suspicious and unwilling to trust anyone, which is very different from his normal loyal self. I mean, he spent how long looking for Neptune with Saturn? But it seems that X had manipulated Uranus even more then what was shown on screen, in order for him to convince Uranus that everyone was turned against him. So, from this perspective, yes, I can see why his personality has done a complete 180 - he believed that Planet X was the only one who ever cared about him and, because he was desperate for that stability, he left. Okay, well that's enough of my incoherent ramblings about Uranus / Caelus for now. I'd like to get one more part out of this episode, regarding the rocky planets and maybe touching on the Theia subject as well. okay, thoughts on 3.3 below - here there be spoilers

the first thing i wanna say is that music went hard. that's one thing i (usually) really enjoy with hsr's story bosses - the music is always on point. that whole moment was fire, tbh, and i think that's my favourite boss design so far in amphoreus

now... it was obvious what was going to happen. we've had that 'all shall bid farewell to one' prophecy kicking about for a while, so i went in expecting everyone to slowly get picked off one by one, which is essentially what happened. didn't make it any easier, of course, but it also wasn't a surprise that everyone died (although i'm fairly certain castorice isn't dead, but considering she stays in the nether realm she may as well be?? i guess?? she's the only one we didn't see die/get confirmation of the death - although we also didn't see hyacine either, but she's also kinda... fixed up in the sky rn??). some of those 'endings' were quite emotional and i'm going to be thinking about one in particular for a while. three guesses as to which one ;__; all those prophecies coming true........

overall, i enjoyed the story - the pacing felt right for this patch, and whilst i didn't intend to play it all in one go i never once felt like i was rushing through it, so it all felt very natural in terms of story pacing & the content was engaging enough to carry it forward. i'm sad that herta only got a tiny bit at the end but i assume, given where we are in terms of plot for the rest of the cast of characters, she'll feature some more in the next chapter.

my immediate thoughts when phainon's name was blocked out: who the fuck are you, dude-

the big "reveal" at the end....... was predictable, incredibly so, so it didn't have the kind of impact i suspect it was supposed to. don't get me wrong, still curious about how that plays in, but let's be real... people have been theorising about this for a while now, it's nothing new.

cipher........ okay, listen, i'm thrilled she had more depth than what we were initially presented with, because i was hoping there'd be more to her than just "sexy mischievous catgirl trope" and, thankfully, there is... but i'm still not a fan. AND DON'T GET ME WRONG, please, i did love her reveals and her story is very clever, i just personally don't vibe with her personality even if it is very fitting for the character. she's written well for who she is, i'm just.... bored of it, y'know? it's just a shame bc i was so hyped to find out more about her when the heirs first dropped and sneaky thief types are definitely my thing and it just feels like hoyo did her a little dirty bc that depth is gonna be lost under another oversexualised trope. but anyway, that's my only negative really.

and i'm gonna address the va thing because honestly... i'm so out of the loop with current news that i only learned they were being changed literally yesterday. i'll miss caleb's voice for caelus, it felt very fitting for the character, but i don't hate the new voice. it sounds more... mature, i guess?? which isn't a bad thing. (i have no comments on stelle's voice bc i don't think i've ever heard rachel's and i haven't heard the new one yet either. every playthrough i've watched in the past has chosen caelus like i did).

and separate from the patch bc i did the first part of the new event as well before i stopped gaming, but... whose idea was it for the text speed in those boxes to be so fucking slow???? me here mashing the x button bc they keep insisting on putting lengthy (and often unnecessary) dialogue/story in silly game events and i really don't care.

i love how they gave options in the actual story to skip some of the dialogue (presumably for a more condensed summary version) but they force you to sit through slow text in an event. please, hoyo.... please let me skip the shit that doesn't matter-

two-tones:

the running gag of my life is that i try to do two things and only do one. for example with the htt bonus in the anomalous agate i meant to do a third and first person pov before settling on just doing one. and when I first wrote two-tone i meant for it to be a two-parter: the first being what got published as two-tone and the second... didn't work out. it is, very loosely, this thing i posted, but though it tied in (there's a reason that thing starts with "II."!) it was the kind of thing that I knew would get way too long to actually properly mirror two-tone as like, a dual thing. but i did want to extend it. at some point. and i kept having these ideas and building out a sort of hanzawa to tashiro timeline for myself, and then it was to the point that I went well. i need a document to collect this bullshit. and that is what two-tones is--my hanzashiro scrap bucket. so you've forced me into writing more scrap...

“oh—um, hang on a sec.” 

when tashiro’s voice reaches him, it’s muffled and muted, and at first hanzawa wonders if the hesitancy he’s hearing is pure imagination. but then tashiro’s head peeks out from the door, eyes flickering anywhere but forward, and he says, “it’s—I found kuresawa’s old outfit.”

his hair curtains his uncertainty, gold and black curling around his face, and despite himself, hanzawa’s already charmed. it’s not often that tashiro wears his hair down, and every time hanzawa sees it, he feels like his hair has grown impossibly longer, even though it looks like nothing’s changed when it’s been tied up.  

“well, how does it look?”

before he can assume the face of neutral, yet compassionate critique, tashiro jumps out with a skip-step, and laughter bubbles up under his skin. 

“tashiro-kun, that doesn’t suit you at all,” he manages to get out, overwhelmed by the stark blacks and reds greeting him. 

“It’s really strange, isn’t it?” tashiro asks, and hanzawa properly attunes himself to the seriousness in his voice.  

in the back of his mind, there runs a strange thrill at the downturn of tashiro’s expression, but he leaves it there and adds, “the outfit looks lovely on you, but the color… doesn’t it makes you look like… a bad boy?” 

the fretfulness leaves tashiro’s body, and he shakes his head with a laugh. he takes a few steps towards hanzawa. “so you’re saying you should be wearing this?” 

his name isn't actually cain:

so i say most of my fics are for a limited audience / audience of one but this one is ACTUALLY for an audience of one. i got super into playing honkai star rail for like. less than a month? uh and i get often annoyed by playing as like, a player character where I'm like. a nobody person lol. so I decided to commit to hard roleplay with my character. and i named him cain! hence the wip title lol. the "guy" trailblazer's / player character's name is normally caelus. but he's cain to me. and i play cain as a very specific character. kind of serious and considerate... and i have like. rationalized everything! so this is a fic exploring my take on the character. so it's basically OC fiction. but maybe i'm good enough to sell you on anything...? ;) pfft okay i can't keep up that sort of arrogance. here's the beginning:

Three months after Cain had joined Astral Express, Dan Heng was in the archives, digitizing a piece of romance fiction he was almost sure was never going to help any kind of future research initiative. As he squinted at a line of faded paper he realized that there was, in fact, a missing page from Vol. 5 of When Winter Met Wildfire, took out his phone to text Cain, realized that he could probably just grab him from a few doors down on the Astral Express, and decided he needed the walk. It was only once he’d stood up, phone in hand, that he realized that he couldn’t just walk a few doors down, because he wasn’t even sure if Cain had a bedroom on the ship.

The guy was always jumping around, flashing back to the Space Station with regularity and even dragging Dan Heng and March around on his missions whenever he felt like it, but even with all of that, Dan Heng had seen him on the Astral Express with enough frequency—chatting with Pom-Pom, talking to Mr. Yang and Himeko in the main room, making small talk with their special visitors, admiring March’s collection of photos, or tapping on Dan Heng’s door quietly before poking his head into the room and reading silently next to him. That was the reason why Dan Heng was looking for him in the first place—he had the uncanny ability to find new books and articles to add to the archives, and he was probably the only person who wouldn’t see anything out of sorts with looking for the missing page of a romance novel. The only person who wouldn’t say anything about it, at least.

The more he searched his memories, the harder it was to find anything reciprocal in those interactions. Apart from picking him up at their first meeting, they’d mostly left Cain to fend for himself. It bothered him more than it should’ve—by nature Dan Heng would never consider himself a friendly person, so it made sense that he wasn’t hanging out with Cain in his free time. But it bothered him anyways—like he should’ve wanted to get more invested in his life, considering how easily invested Cain seemed to get into his. Like maybe the whole Stellaron body business should’ve been a bigger deal than it was.
