“No, look, we need to constantly be on guard, and frankly, expect the worst. Do you realize how much we lost on that one elk?!” Jeongguk questions, angrier than he usually lets himself become.

Hoseok sighs quietly, throwing a small stick into whatever’s left of the fire.

“Huh?”

“Yes,” he finally answers reluctantly.

“So what did we lose, exactly?”

“Money.”

But Jeongguk doesn’t let go so easily. Not when the recent mistakes have cost so much, already.

Hoseok meets the unwavering, waiting gaze of his alpha, sighing once more and sitting up straighter on the log. “If we’d managed to protect him until sexual maturity, then the herd would’ve had a chance to grow further. Which would’ve meant that we’d have more elk meat to sell in the coming years.”

“Right. But you let those wolves through, why?” Jeongguk pushes because he needs Hoseok to get it.

“Because he found one of them hot,” Yoongi comments, an underlying teasing tone to his voice.

-thinks girlstaches are a moral failing even though literally half her relatives have girlstaches

So it’s been a while since I’ve read but I finally finished this intriguing beauty! Psychopathia Sexualis is a German psychiatry book from the late 1800s and gained some popularity from fellow psychiatrists and the public and also hate from the church (gasp*). It of course is outdated when it comes to women (who were not considered sexual people unless mentally “tainted”) and the lgbt community (he tried to be sympathetic towards “congenital homosexuals” and how they should not be considered criminals cause they “don’t see themselves as unnatural” but still treats them as tainted people who are below “normal” people). However the cases are what kept me intrigued reading about different issues and where they believe they’ve stemmed from and how their physical measurements (I.e cranial shape, brain anomalies, family history, and genital measurements) may contribute to different sexual deviancies.
