That being said, little theory time.

Oh Honeyspirng, Love, I might not know what killed you, but it seems like you are so so deep under the soil. You are the dirty little secret, a curse, a literal skeleton in the non-existent closet. You and your missing kittens, taken away from you (by the order of your love [the deputy, Frail was the name?] who hoped they were alive), so you rot somewhere beneath the dirt. You are alone, with no warmth to call your own. They buried you with no proper care, tossed aside, without zero concern of you. So StarClan won't claim you, they cannot. So you linger a constant reminder of the terrible negligence the clan put you though, don't you.

From Pretty words to simple words, I just found this blog and i am pretty darn sure that Honeyspirng can't know peace and hunts the clan cuz they fuged the burial. No respect to the dead as in desecration of the dead in hope to safe kittens who would never be born but also no proper grave to call thier own made them this way. Perhaps they were stuffed into a burrow? That would explain the first bit with "can't breath". StarClan nor DarkForest can claim them, so she lingers. Looking for her kits and hoping for connection they loved so so much in life.

And why would they do that? Well my only bet is on a little bit of prevention, Honeyspirng was sick so a quick burial would be safer - the sickness would not spread, and a little bit of superstition - Honeyspirng's kits weren't looking like regular kittens so the clan might have took it as a bad omen, and not burring them properly would be an act to try and shield the clan of any negative consecration the kits and Honey could bring after death, which frankly resulted in them being hunted. Which could be considered a great mistake, error in judgement that lead them here👀

Oooh! I love reading theories like this! It makes me happy to know that people find my little story interesting enough to theorize, and I love seeing people's different ideas! I especially love your word choice!

That being said, you're certainly on the right track. A LOT of things were fudged regarding Honeyspring's everything, and it's certainly going to come back to bite.

In life, Honeyspring was responsible for expanding the burrows, and when she passed, the clan buried her in a burrow she was working on before she became so gravely ill; it was supposed to be a nursery. The kits did not come out of Honeyspring's womb dead, but they didn't (couldn't) live long. When her kits passed shortly after, they were taken by Tanglefern to be buried separately.

If it helps, ALL of the main cats (Tanglefern, Flaildrizzle, Rootstar, Bearface, even Sweetkit) have a fatal flaw. Tanglefern's is cowardice, he'd never admit to his mistake.

Beck- Thinks he's good at flirting and is good at flirting. In theory. If someone finds his style of direct/playful flirtiness grating he'll be less successful, but overall he can be quite charming.

Croft- Is bad at flirting and knows it. Doesn't truly understand the difference between flirting and just talking to someone. The added level of their demisexuality ensures that they've never once in their life intentionally flirted with a stranger.

Jay- They're pretty good at flirting, but wouldn't say that they are. They're very friendly and open and will casually touch someone's shoulder or arm while chatting-- they can be VERY charming. But they don't really consider charisma a strength of theirs.

Perri- They're terrified of flirting so they don't really try; but would actually be pretty good at it. They're funny and sweet and could be very flattering and flirty if not for their high anxiety. If asked though they'd insist that they'd be terrible at it.

Ravi- Oh this one is hard. Hm. I think Ravi could be decent at flirting if he put the effort in, but he'd be never interested in doing so. Instead he'll just make too much eye contact and be cryptic and try to charm you with his intense energy. Flirting is one of those things he considers For Other People.

Yasmin- Thinks she's great at flirting and isn't as good at it as she thinks. She's very direct and that works for her, but it isn't for everyone lol. She sometimes has bad luck trying to be flirty with shyer people due to that directness.

So I think MC is like, a commissioned robot copy, replacement thing of River's dead lover 🤖 and all the pics around the house are the real lover, and that's why they're so happy but we can't remember☝️🤓 and then River hates us for being so close to the real thing, but not actually the person he wants 💔 and it's gonna be a real weird feeling for River if MC "cheats" on them cuz MC has the dead lover's face, smoochin' some guy (gender-neutral) 😘💀😨 and River's route is gonna be super angsty, bitter-sweet cuz we're competing against the dead, "real" love that MC is but an imitation of 😔😭

Because some of those same people will have so many takes on their faves that don't even be that character. That is a whole OC you created!!

I actually wasn't aware of this until only recently that people accepted for Sukuna to become some absolute horndog when Yorozu was up all over him. Maybe I missed something, but Sukuna only ever expressed being interested in fighting and killing people and personally, he never really came across as some sexual deviant to me.

I feel like sometimes if you have this fanon version of your fave, that is not your favorite. In no way, should you feel the need to like this whole other version of your "fave" in order to like him. Then why have them as your favorite in the first place?

I like Sukuna because he entertains me. He's this evil ass menace who wants all the smoke and the biggest beef he has is with a 15 year old (who is my all time favorite of JJK). Sukuna also this mysterious air about him because we still don't know much about his backstory, let alone everything he can do. (I had this recent thought about a technique that I should probably get to writing.) I have theories about his character, like how he may really be as a person, true. But at the same time, I'm not gonna believe my theories about him are canon because "I know him better than Gege". Anything I say isn't canon unless said so explicitly. I didn't create Sukuna. I am just another fan just vibing along with the story.

And it really is insane to me that people will do that. People were saying "female fans of JJK are ruining the fandom, they're all so horny" as if all us are horny, let alone engage in the anime for said reasons.

The same people *cough cough* misogynists *cough* who say that be the same people who will have a wallpaper of someone like Nami as their header and she'll have boobs bigger than what she has in canon.

Oooh, y'all don't like folks be objectifying the JJK men, huh? Even though for years female characters have gotten the treatment in Shonen. You cannot be dragging Gojo fans when you want to be Makima's dog. Stop that now.

I saw this meme post about how people tend to overlook the story and its details and only focus on the attractive cast and fights. And some people were like "but people are only focusing on the fights and attractive cast".

No, they're not. You're missing the point.

For one, you can find the characters attractive and enjoy the fights. That is fine. But at the same time, don't miss the story. Pay attention to it because it's just as important, if not more.

Second, not everyone is focused on just the fights and cast. If that was the cast, why do we have theories and meta posts? Why do we have people writing fics that study the character they're writing about? If no one is focusing on the story and only like the fights and attractiveness of the characters, then those kind of posts from fans wouldn't exist.

I've been seeing a lot of talk about Sam/Rowena and Sam/Eileen lately, and it makes me wonder: what are people's favorite ships besides wincest? When you venture outside our corner of the fandom, what relationships are you looking at?

Also: if your answer is an incest ship, I also want to know your favorite non-incest ship. I already know half of us are down bad for shipping the boys with John or Jack. My goal here is more to discover what I don't already know.

Okay so I am not very far into SPN because 1. I have memory problems and have to rewatch it + 2. seeing spoilers for the later seasons has me nervous, like, I am NOT emotionally ready to experience all that!! So my point is: I haven't gotten to Rowena or Eileen or Jack yet, though I've seen cute posts about them. I'm almost to the end of season 5. ....But.... 🫣 Well. I'm scared! (Plus I need another rewatch.)

But I really love the idea of Sam/Jack. That's his mom!!! He's an adult and a baby and that's his sad hurting mom who loves him through it all. Jack just wanting to flip the roles and take care of his mom? Oooh I love the idea. I think it's a very fun pair. But we'll see when I get there because sometimes unrelated parental/child relationships are strictly platonic for me and I just don't vibe with the shipping of them for whatever reason. But I think I also will be down bad for them.

Sam/Cas is EVERYTHING! I LOVE them!!!!!! Sam 'has so much faith'/Cas 'losing faith'? Angel/the boy with demon blood? Autistic4autistic? Dork4dork? Soft+fierce4soft+fierce? I can go on forever. They are AMAZING! Sastiel is so so so so good. I got a teeeeny bit biased before I started watching bc a dear friend ships Sastiel and I was always like '😳 👀 oh?' whenever I saw their posts. But then seeing them together as I watched convinced me i LOVE them aaa the handshake alone..... iconic! Soft and yet alienating to Sam yet Cas is WELCOMING and tender and Sam is distraught and yet still in awe oooooooooo. Sastiel is so good. (Of course I think all flavor variations of Wincest+Sastiel are good. Whichever way you spin the dynamics.) Sastiel my beloved ❤️

I also love the idea of Sam and minor characters. He has such chemistry with everyone that the smaller roles are really fun to ship with him. And tbh the way Sam LOOKS and SPEAKS with people? 🥺 Augh. It's easy to imagine people falling for Sam. Or having blatant sexual tension like him and Patrick the witch lol.

Sam/Jess is a classic and to me so so so good. The original. The icon. There is a lot of depth that can be explored even with how little screentime we get of Jess. She cares so much and Sam was going to marry her and they just seem really supportive of each other and proud of each other and aaa! Plus, and I cannot stress this enough, they are so pretty together. Model duo.

Sam/John is interesting to me but not usually as much as other pairs. I don't seek it out but then I'll see posts and go 'oh? 👀 nice' Usually I prefer Sam/John with Sam/Dean too. A wincest triangle with Sam at the middle. However Dean/John is interesting too so I am for sure for the Sam/John + Dean/John + Sam/Dean dynamic.

Sam/Mary is in theory a bit interesting to me. I don't know yet what she's like when she comes back. But the concept of Sam/Mary. Sam whose family has idolized Mary and Sam who feels like his 'evil' condemned her. She's an idol. She's a second chance would've-could've-should've shot at happiness and a safe life. She's 'supposed to' love Sam with all her heart and hopefully in a way John+Dean can't because THEIR hearts are more than a bit broken from losing Mary. So sure a bit interesting.

Now the concept of Young!John/Sam?? OOOOH I love that. Sam finding forgiveness in his young father who hasn't yet told Dean to kill him and hasn't yet died to save Dean (which in a way Sam blames himself for bc he thinks Azazel is his fault) and how gentle and kind young John is towards them even despite the strange circumstances. Now I also think this dynamic is delicious with Young!Mary. I truly love the way Jared acts with the 'you're so beautiful' and it screams awe, it is so full of platonic love and admiration. And I can see young Mary watching Sam/Young!John. I think Sam/Young!John + Young!John/Young!Mary would be INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Having Sam and Mary be adjacent to each other, overlapping in John and the threesome dynamic, but just not quite together. THAT is so so good to me. However I also enjoy the idea of just all three of them together on purpose. Sam with BOTH of his young parents. Ooo it is just! Sooo interesting to me! Young Mary before she dies and Sam has less grief+guilt about 'causing' it (but of course sometimes his guilt and grief are WORSE bc oh man she's so wonderful, so young, so full of life and she doesn't get to KEEP that; it's cut short and aaa) I haven't actually seen this yet in a fic or post but like. Ooooooough the concept of Sam and at least one of his young parents captivates me

oh i love this game of thrones esque chess game of allies and enemies going on with the vampire houses. nothing hits like a battle of secrets and gossip, it's like that dragon age inquisition quest, wicked eyes and wicked hearts (my FAVORITE quest tbh ❤️)

i also love being right oooh william totally helped organize this hit along with the house of baz to take the bennets out of play. porter and alexis were a part of the act and william kept vincent out of it so that he could claim innocence in case something went wrong.

the summit has been so interesting and really given life (haha) to the vampire lore and i'm so obsessed i can't wait to hear porter's explanation to vincent like i wanna know just how long william's been planning something like this..... porter's alluded to his "exile" being less of a punishment and more of like a mission and the idea of him being "dragged back" for this, what did william have him doing while he was gone for 4 years? hmm 🤔 vincent and alexis are the prince and princess, sam's a duke, but it sure feels like porter's the spy of the family.

(also porter i'm still eyeing you like you have your fingers pretty deep in this pie and you're still very much a mystery to me with all this magical control you seem to have as a vampire.... my as of yet unfounded but biggest theory is that he was a seer before being turned 👀 tell me your secrets boy)

yeah!! this was supposed to be a little pwp of high steddie that has kind of gotten away from me a little. i anticipated writing maybe 2500 words, but it's sitting at 4600 words and not finished yet so 🤷🏽

here is a little snippet:

So he invites Steve over to smoke with him because he remembers selling to him a couple handfuls of time when he was in high school, Steve showing up at his locker or waiting by his van after school sometimes. He remembers always wondering back then what Steve would be like when he was high - if he’s the talkative type, the paranoid type, the quiet and contemplative type, the horny type.

Even he can admit he’s thought about Steve enough to have thoughts on all of those situations and musings about how he’d handle each of them.

But he’s not exactly prepared for Steve to be handsy, to be giggly and leaning into him and joking and touching him casually. Because sober Steve keeps his hands to himself, Eddie’s noticed.

He’s had a theory for years now that Steve is probably touch starved, from not having his parents around much, from the only form of intimacy other than sex being clapping his friends or teammates on the shoulder.

So Steve doesn't really touch people, doesn't reach out for hugs, doesn't really cuddle with anyone during movie nights.

You or someone else shared a theory about the second season of Percy Jackson taking place in Florida and that was why he used that song in his story post; but, to be honest, I hope that that does not happen. I think he used it because it's one of his favorite songs and that is that. I really hope it's a song collaboration where they're singing. I'm not opposed to him rapping, but I'd love to hear Lin sing more. I feel like he has the potential if he actually tries! I love how he sounded on the ['Hamilton'] cast recording album in "It's Quiet Uptown" (everything before he talks to Eliza). I feel like that pitch...volume...tone (I'm not a music whiz here, sorry!!) suits him best. Is that a mezzo? For anyone who hasn't listened to the album, give "It's Quiet Uptown" a listen. The bit I like is this:

The way he sang this is just so calming. I can't write out my thoughts here, but I just love his singing! Anyways, I hope Lin-Manuel Miranda and Taylor Swift collaborate together on a song. I'm not opposed to pop, however, I, personally, would love for it have an indie/alternative vibe like "willow" because that's one of my favorite genres. I would love for him to give a try at different song genres and that is one of them. Omg, I would love for him to drop an indie/alternative album himself in the style of however he sang those lines I wrote above. Now THAT would be a neat surprise from him.

Last episode, Mac dragged in the Not-Mayor like your street cat bringing dead things into the house, this episode he is the house cat caught 10 seconds before disaster tied up in a ball of yarn. Kidding kidding, but true as well. Remember the "tied up in his own shadows and chains?" Yeah, weird. So apparently (and keep in mind, sometimes flashbacks can be biased!) that bit really did happen and Wukong was there to see it. It's not just everyone they've fought against, it seems to be...a memory almost, wouldn't you say, Icy? Macaque tied up like that, the tear/blood drop I promised you? The especially evident "Monkey, no violence!" you hear after? Tripitaka and the fillet??? Also Wukong's face when seeing his friend <3 <3 <3 and his instinctive yell when hearing Tripitaka OOOH 👀 omg. I'm all over that. Does it still bother him? I mean with how often the headband dug into his head, how much it hurt, oh he's got lasting issues. Rip </3 your turn to get trauma triggered. Oh yeah, also the translation. Mac here says, "You're nothing!" Like, I think I said it reflected what he told MK in The Winning Side. As a theory for what he told Wukong. "Your staff's gone, your power and freedom's gone. You're not the Monkey King, you're nothing!" if he found him with the pilgrims. But his line and Nezha's are taken from previous episodes, so are they meant to be parallels of the further/not recent past or, just chosen from there? We're pretty split on how Mac reacted tbh, and the Chinese dub has him say "You abandoned me!" which changes the meaning entirely. And falls in line with Shadow Play. The new characters' lines are pretty solidly from the past so eh. Maybe both. I talk a lot about the monkeys (and I'll probably refer to them as shadowpeach for convenience's sake when speaking of their scenes together despite it being a ship name, their duo name is eclipse/sundial duo but we're all just too used to the former.) anyways, this is meant to say that this season, for the sake of a certain someone in your note's favorite antagonist, I will be rewatching s4 to sort them out :P I think its worth the effort, what with fandom repeatedly being extra weird with your fav, I get it, so may as well explain what the heck might be going on.

UNHOLY BLOOD!!! It's my 1st Vampire-related manhwa and it's so good!!! Hayan is such a GIRLBOSS! I LOVE THE MAGICIAN DUDE AND HIS LION 🥹🥹🥹 But yes Euntae and Hayan's relationship was too slow I couldn't take it... But at least they had such a cute relationship at the end 🫶🏻

do you know the manga artist has a new webtoon? I'm not sure what it's called but I heard it's good! I've yet to read it myself... On another note, I love the art so much it's so unique and different from other manhwas!

And hmm few of my faves are "Death is the only end for the villainess", "No longer a heroine!", and "The Couple breaker". The last 2 are by the same artist! The 1st is a regular "I died and was reincarnated as a villainess" kind of story, BUT It has a twist! It's in an otome game instead of a storybook! Quite interesting... The 2nd is based on the life of an actress. It's pretty realistic and is a little dark... Not much romance tho...The last is really drama HAHAH It's crazy like the name says it all. saw you asking about MCs so- my MC is named Rivera Posey, fae is very much wide or die kind of person when it comes to faers sibling, all fae thinking about is getting back to Willow and that's all what matters. Fae is super into true crime and has a whole podcast around it, like don't get fae started or fae will go into about horrible murders and every little detail and all of faers theories. Like fae won't shut up about it if given the chance. Rivera doesn't have a job fae just does this and only this and probably at least a little bit of a disappointment becasue of that, could have been anything but all fae wants to do is talk about true crime on the internet and ruin every family gathering becasue fae won't shut up about some murder that happened forever ago when everyone is trying to eat and now christmas dinner is ruined. 😔

Fae doesn't believe in the supernatural and just thinks everyone in this little town are weirdos and crazy (forget the fact faers highest skill is weird everything fae does and feels is all totally normal and can be explained). All fae wants is out of here and the stupid fog and get back to Willow and forget all about this, and even after crashing the car fae still won't believe there's anything supernatural going on.

Still don't know who to romance, so far it's between Perri or Ravi. Perri would be cute with the fact they're a radio show host and Rivera is a podcaster I think they would be cute together, like I can see Rivera having a happy life with Perri (and I can have a NB4NB relationship with those two). But it's also super funny being a skeptic when talking with Ravi and I can see Rivera having that moment of why does fae like him, like the horror when fae realizes faers feelings for this guy.

Your tags about a poet Diluc has me picturing an AU where Crepus allowed his son to pursue his own dreams upon which I can't help but imagine Venti's interactions with a disillusioned emo bard Diluc.

I'm glad we're in full agreement of Crepus went "Second son? Do you mean the heir to my family's winery business?" and poor Kaeya being crushed by the weight of two father figures' aspirations and expectations.

Interesting, I never considered Klee might have been referring to Crepus (I've read a bit about Hidden Strife), but if so yeah poor Diluc lmao.

Ok, ok but you bring up a good point before you ran out of tags in that, yeah--Diluc must've been incredibly stressed tf outta his mind as Cavalry Captain. Like I'm sure he sees it as a happier time in his life but you cannot tell me being a Favonius Captain at age 14 leads to you being well-adjusted.

Especially if you're supposed to be in charge of knights almost twice your age. He probably had to constantly prove himself as being "mature" enough to handle it.

But also...what's your theory about Crepus being sneaky? 👀

The Genshin Impact fandom is fascinating to me when it comes to fanfics, because I feel like I struggle to find any fics that really *get* the characterization of certain characters and I'm loathed to write my own because dammit I just want to read the specific itch I crave without resorting to creating it. Give me three more months and I'll cave in.

For example, Diluc is one of my favorites and I find his backstory fascinating in terms of his father Crepus possibly being more morally ambiguous than most fans are willing to admit and how little we know of Diluc's murder spree in Snezhnaya.

For example which Harbinger(s) did he have a run-in with? Will we find out more about the secret intelligence network that took him in, that he apparently had a high position in? Did he ever find the answers he was searching for? The list goes on.

It's hard for me to find the specific characterization of him I crave for in fics because I think his platonic relationship with Kaeya is incredibly nuanced and complex but I feel like his character often gets assassinated for Kaeya angst but like, the man had the worst birthday ever?

Imagine being Diluc, living through a literal worst nightmare. Your dad is dead after you failed to protect him yourself. Not only is your dad dead but he died after wielding a delusion--you dont even know what a delusion is but its clearly bad news. Why the fuck did your father have it and how?

On top of this, the Favonius Knights--the organization you proudly served and the very organization that your father heavily encouraged you to serve--insists on covering up the truth because it makes them look bad. The Favonius Knights, who are supposed to be honorable and uphold integrity, are anything but that.

Then your adoptive brother, who you've known for years and trust with your life, shows up and tells you he's been spying for a foreign nation since you were kids with the intent of harming Mondstadt and everything about your relationship is possibly all one big lie and well--how do you not snap??

Now, I'm also incredibly fond of Kaeya and he was just as traumatized by Crepus's death. He was wracked with guilt for *feeling* relieved that he didn't have to worry about betraying his birth father for his adoptive father since Crepus was dead. He anticipated Diluc's anger and felt like their duel was a punishment for his lies.

To me, it hints that Kaeya probably didn't reveal the truth expecting Diluc's understanding, but rather he knew how he would react and perhaps he wanted Diluc to strike him down in that duel. Or at the very least, he wanted to distance himself from Diluc and cut off ties in order to avoid emotional attachment stopping him from his mission.

I personally head-canon that Diluc withdrew upon seeing Kaeya's vision because well--why would the gods bless Kaeya with a vision if he truly had the intent to harm Mondstadt? So in spite of what Kaeya revealed, he isn't a threat. But there's still a lot of hurt there to navigate through.

I think it's fascinating seeing where they stand in present game because Kaeya obviously has the ideology of working the system from within. He stayed in the knights (even taking over his brother's position) and with Jean rooted out the Inspector and his cronies.

Meanwhile Diluc just isn't that type of person. He doesn't settle, he refuses to work in a system he views corrupt, he rather accomplish what he can outside of it. Curiously, he doesn't challenge the status quo beyond being vocal of his distaste of the Knights.

This is head-canon fantasyland, but I like to envision Kaeya and Diluc do use a lot of the same informants and collaborate on intel relating to the safety of Mondstadt (especially since Diluc can move in ways against the Fatui that the Knights can't due to political reasons) but they struggle to have the same connection as before.

For example, Diluc's story quest--Kaeya was essentially giving Diluc an alibi with the Knights. Even if Jean damn well knows who it is, they still have to have official documentation stating otherwise.

Kaeya is good at reading people, he has to be given how he was raised to be a child spy. But I like to think he struggles to read Diluc like before. Diluc is much more jaded, pessimistic, quieter than before. He prefers to work on his own as much as possible. From Kaeya's pov, the only person he's seen Diluc willing to fully trust enough to work alongside with is the Traveler, and he states as much.

The opposite is true of Diluc. Kaeya was his shadow, a quiet but inquisitive, witty observer. Cavalry Captain Kaeya is much more outgoing and friendly, his charm on full display. Did he ever really truly know Kaeya or did he only show Diluc what he wanted him to see? Is Kaeya happier this way?

Fanon often depicts Kaeya as essentially being barred from the dawn winery from the duel by Diluc himself, but I don't think that's quite the case. Much rather, given the reason he told Diluc that night, I think he views himself as undeserving due to unresolved guilt.

Canon seems to hint at all of this through his hangout and Hidden Strife, the latter of which is unfortunately a time-limited event that occurred before I even played (hoyo please stop having heavy lore drops occur in time limited events).

I think the two want to trust each other again, but both are afraid of destroying the tentative truce they have so they leave all of it unaddressed. Kaeya refuses to be completely truthful ever again and Diluc acknowledges the past but refuses to discuss it. The tragedy in their relationship that neither is at fault for what happened--it's a twisted emotional mess of grief and heartbreak.

The last point I'd like to touch on is the parallels between Kaeya and Diluc both being essentially child soldiers for their fathers' causes.

For Kaeya, being abandoned in Mondstadt to be a child spy is the most overt. For Diluc? Despite Crepus's strong ambition to be a Favonius Knight and to have a vision--neither happened for him. In Diluc's vision story, it states that he views his vision being a result of their "shared" ambition, hinting that his vision was granted after Diluc's strong resolve to achieve his father's dreams for him.

We know Crepus heavily encouraged Diluc down this path at very young age, given Diluc received his vision at age 10 and became the youngest Captain at age 14. In some ways, I'm sure Kaeya was a bit jealous of Diluc for having a loving father present in his life that was overtly proud of him.

I am not saying Crepus wasn't a good father, I think he cared immensely for Kaeya and Diluc both, but I do think he did some morally grey shit.

Diluc abandoning his vision is fascinating and it's almost never explored in fics. He is the only vision holder we know of (aside from the Inazumauns whose visions were taken by force) that had their ambition for their vision shaken in such a way that they voluntarily discarded their vision for a time and only took it back after reigniting a new ambition to have it (and as far we know the only allogene that faced no negative setbacks from using a delusion long-term without their vision present).
