Accidental Inktobertale day 22: clouds

As you may or may not know I failed miserably to keep up with Inktobertale and now I'm playing the price both consciously and unconsciously

Recently I got the idea of drawing these two looking at clouds, did that, and now I realize that clouds is one of the prompts in Inktobertale so um thanks brain

The Reluctant Savior – Tim Drake’s Struggle with Self-Worth

There’s something incredibly heartbreaking about Tim Drake. He’s the guy who became Robin not because he was the fastest, the strongest, or even the bravest—but because he believed that Batman needed him. He made himself a necessity. Tim didn’t want to be a hero for the glory or recognition; he did it because he saw a family breaking apart and thought he was the only one who could fix it.

Imagine that weight. From the moment he put on the cape, Tim had this underlying belief that if he didn’t step up, everything would fall apart. And maybe it’s true. Maybe Gotham really would be worse off without him. But here’s the tragedy: Tim doesn’t just believe he’s needed. He believes that he alone is the one who has to carry that burden.

It shows in everything he does. The late nights hunched over case files, the countless hours in the Batcave—Tim pours everything he has into the mission, into being the glue that holds everything together. But the cost? It’s slowly eroding who he is. The person beneath the mask fades a little more every day.

And what’s worse? He doesn’t think he deserves to stop. He doesn’t think he deserves help. Tim Drake, the kid who single-handedly saved Bruce from the brink, can’t even admit that he needs saving too. When was the last time Tim truly let someone in? When was the last time he put himself first, or even thought about what he wanted beyond the mission?

His journey is so lonely, and that’s the part that really hits hard. Tim isn’t fighting because he believes in some heroic destiny; he’s fighting because he thinks if he stops, everything will collapse—and somehow, he’ll be to blame.

It’s almost ironic, really. The boy who fixed Batman can’t fix himself. He saves everyone but leaves himself to drown, over and over again. Watching Tim Drake’s story unfold feels like watching someone caught in an endless cycle of self-sacrifice, waiting for the moment when they realize that they’re just as worthy of being saved as the people they protect.

How do you think would be when luffy set sail on his own in baby lu au? Like, I can totally see 27 yo Ace and Sabo panicking and making OTHERS (commanders + whitebeard / dragon, koala, iva) panic too bc their 17 yo baby brothers will set sail.

i definitely think they would do some sort of send off at dawn, whether or not luffy grew up there or on the sea. i could see ace and sabp being nervous as the day approaches, but more than anything, they’re incredibly proud of luffy for how far he’s come. it’s a day full of excitement, worry (on their end), and happy tears

(it’s crazy, seeing the boy they practically raised grow up to become his own strong, independent person, going on his own journey all by himself. it’s crazy, and it feels amazing)

Scratch is Lillith Evidence

I've kind of accepted this as canon but I havent really seen anyone compile all the evidences so uh here for anyone curious

Kayne first references her in Part 20 which does reveal that Lillith exists in Malevolent:

In part 37, when John, Arthur and Oscar are exploring the barn, John sees a painting of a woman with pale skin and dark hair and seems to go into a kind of trance when he looks at her (which. Gestures. Lillith. Gestures. Succubus-y powers. Gestures)

Later when they open the gateway in Part 38, Scratch merges with a woman who looks exactly like the one in the painting and she's described as having "alabaster skin", aka world's most highly specific descriptor, which also happens to the same description used in the Lillith entry in the Malleus Monstorum for CoC seventh edition (BIG THANKS TO @/unsafewaters for sending the images to me)

And then in Intermezzo, Kayne directly mentions having a daughter and claims that she would "love" Arthur which could tie back to him being Her Favourite. Also I don't like using evidence that isn't in the source material but in the post season 4 QnA, when Harlan's reading out the notes he wrote for Intermezzo, one of the things he reads out is the daughter line, which implies it was important enough to mention (and wasn't just a throwaway joke)

And last but not least, Yorick mentions that Scratch/Owlexander/the entity watching them is close in power to Kayne which would make sense if he created her

Also earlier in the episode, Yorick implied Scratch may be working against Kayne specifically which does imply they have a pre existing relationship which would make sense if she was Lillith:

Extra evidence: In the fake Edward Willaim Allan's journal, he has an entry where talks about how, despite the fact he distrusts his "dream dweller" (who we know is Scratch pre fracturing), something about them still fills him with awe and he feels oddly seduces by them:

Which is likely Lillith using her powers to influence him and make him easier to manipulate (since it's heavily implied, if not basically explicitly stated, she was using him to open a gateway for her to enter the world)

Also! Semi unrelated but while I have your attention and talking about theories! I just wanna highlight a minor theory of mine that there's a high chance Kayne trapped Lillith in some kind of pocket dimension or prison of sorts because the prison line (from the second to last screenshot in this post) feels like foreshadowing and I find it odd that if she supposedly is close to him in power, she would need a humans help to travel through worlds (Also, she's framed as getting "freed" in part 38 when they do eventually open the gateway which leads to the question: free from what?) so that's something to consider
