I love both of these moments and I think it's such a strong and compelling choice to show us Paul just unabashedly running to hug his mentors with nary an eyeblink from his family or any of the people around who work for House Atreides, people he'd be expected to some day lead (which particularly stands out in the first instance, which is on their formal arrival onto Arrakis!). In a matter of seconds it tells us not only what kind of person Paul is at this point and what these character dynamics are like, but by extension tells us about how his family has raised him and paints a picture of House Atreides.

saying this as respectfully as possible but. Do not put fandom content creators on a pedestal. We are also just fans contributing to a community just as you are. which is not to say you should go out of your way to engage them -- my default policy is still block on sight -- but it is very funny

to be fair I have noticed a recent tendency to call any transphobe a TERF regardless of how very, very far they are from being anything you could call feminist, and that does play into the radfem argument that many of their opponents don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Believing that XY chromosomes determine a person's intrinsic worth may be the common thread that unites radical feminists and the reactionary right, but BOY do they not agree on whether having them is a good thing or not.

Daniel undersuit allows Lex and his people to see his vitals 24/7 which is why he uses it most of the time, be it under his clothes or just the suit while hanging around in his own bedroom(is comfortable!!). It also has the bonus of making feel safe

His PR team is going for a bright, approachable and young vibe so they let him have long hair(because "is relatable and against the usual gender norms, which will win over the younger population"). Is also why his costume is look-at-me-green(which is a good color to hide his blood)

His handlers in the auction wanted him to look older, sharp and neat(ugh, which is why he becomes hostile/dry towards people like the Bats or teen heroes who think nothing can be too bad

DRV3 Character deaths and how you would (maybe) perform first aid on them if they were alive when found

self indulgent brainrot post since ive been taking a first aid class all weekend. Should probably say to not trust my word on this, I'm just a beginner and I'm omitting some stuff Rantaro:

Assume a spinal injury and shock due to the blood loss and head trauma. Get dressing and pressure on that head wound (bandage if necessary). If his breathing becomes unstable, carefully roll him onto his back (cspine roll) and give oxygen through a non-rebreather mask, or even manually ventilate.

Ryoma:

Abridging this a bit because uh. Can't really help being eaten by piranhas. Lets say he was just in the water after being knocked out and then was pulled out.

He probably isn't breathing. I believe there is drowning-specific cpr? but I haven't learned it yet. Assume a spinal injury because of him getting bonked over the head and knocked out. Hold cspine, roll him if necessary. If he has no pulse, start CPR and manual ventilation. Treat for shock.

Angie:

Assume a spinal injury due to getting bonked on the head with the floor plank (jeez) and probably also because the stab is on her neck. Keep her in this position, though if she can't breathe, cspine roll her. Apply dressing and pressure to the wound on her neck and forehead. Again treat for shock.

Tenko:

Similar situation to Angie. Assume a spinal injury because of how she got stabbed AND the fact she was stabbed on the neck. Dressing and pressure on the wound, and cspine roll her if she can't breathe. Treat for shock.

Miu:

FINALLY someone who shouldn't have a spinal injury. If she's seizing while in the chair, its probably okay to leave her? but make sure there isn't anything she could hurt herself on. If she falls out of the chair, remove the chair and use its cushions under her (especially the head). Also probably remove the headset (although Idk what the ramifications would be in this VR situation...) There actually isn't all that much you can do for a seizure other than making sure they don't hurt themselves and can adequately breathe, keeping track of how long the seizures are, and keeping them comfortable until you can get help.
