In Cecil's humble opinion, it's not that bad than 'Metal Mouth', but he's not really fond of the nickname)

Background:

He was born in Marseille, France to a famous historian father, Francis Sinclair and a famous supermodel mother Angelica Sinclair (neé Zieliński), and is the great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandson to and a descendent of the 14th mayor of Bullworth, Hugo Sinclair. Atticus's father's side of the family has been in politics ever since the 1820s while his mother is from a middle class family with no connections at all until her model career starts to take off very well. The Sinclairs have been old money since the mid 1870s and is a very well respected family, especially in the world of politics. Cecil's father and mother first met at the apartment in the Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York when they bumped into each other and the rest is history (*wink* *wink*). When they got married, they went to Marseille, France for their honeymoon and that's when Cecil was born. Francis named him Atticus (Cecil's first name) after his favorite character from How To Kill A Mockingbird, his favorite book and also the movie adaptation. Cecil growing up was quite serious about his studying, after Francis light-heartedly said to him, something about your future depends on studying and having good grades and Cecil has thought about that over and over again and took it very seriously. He didn't want a bad future, a future where he doesn't know what to do in life and ended up having no jobs due to his grades, not going to universities and not having a diploma!!! It's a nightmare for him, so he studies everyday and that makes him kind of isolated himself from his family and peers. He didn't even bother to ask his parents 'how are you?' or something that is going on involving them, he always has a book in his face or even his messy notebooks which contain his notes that he's always reading or writing during dinner. So the parents were growing tired of it and when Cecil was 11, they sent him off to Bullworth Academy. The school he could say was.. 'Obnoxiously weird' (if that makes sense to anyone else) but of course, what school would be there in Bullworth other than this school. None. Later, he joined the Nerds clique and the rest is history

Personality:

Most people considered him as a 'studying obsessed freak' due to him always studying anywhere in school or even outside of the school, he always worries about his grades and not the people he cares about, which makes them have mixed opinions of him. He has the tiniest temper ever, if someone interrupts him or distracts him from him study, he would yell at them with no hesitation or even throw some small objects at them. He's quite controlling over his friends if they do not take their grades seriously, he's like a parent figure to them who's strict and always tells them to study. He would ask them to join him for a study group or else... Or else he would do 'something' that he might not regret (but in reality, he doesn't know what to do if they reject him) but nevertheless, his friends join him in the study group. He's a perfectionist when it comes to his grades and studying, it's not something that is considered healthy but he just can't seem to stop, it always bothers him if he doesn't study in a day or if he forgets to study. He studies until the side of his fingers has bruises on them or studies until the ink of his pen is completely empty. Although Cecil hates bullies, he actually doesn't care if someone is getting bullied, right in front of him or not. In his opinion, it's their problem not his and instead of helping the victim, he continues to study or ignoring them. He's easily annoyed at the smallest, tiniest thing ever, if he finds a tiny dirt on his shoe or a dirt on one of his books or even a mistake in his exam paper, he really gets bothered by it but the only thing bothering him the most is the smallest mistake on his exam paper that makes him study even more. If it gets out of control, he would play chess with one of his friends or by himself while listening to his favorite songs, it calms him immediately and releases his stress

Overall, Cecil only cares about his grades (and his future also) and nothing else

Hey here's an oc ask! How would you introduce Henry to someone who doesn't know em?

And then, how would Henry introduce himself?

HIII THANK YOU!!

Okay so when I introduce him, I usually say that Henry Thomas Davis is, in a nutshell, a 24-year-old man who moved from home recently and is trying to get his life together, kinda. He's quite a pessimistic guy and has a mostly aggressive/mean demeanor when talking to other people, so he's not really the kindest lamb in the herd (I don't think that's an expression, but whatever). And THEN after that, I add that his favorite music band is the Spice Girls.

He can be fun to be around with if he's on your side, though, and will not hesitate before providing you help or advice if you need some.

However, he's prone to acting out of impulse and has a hard time controlling his emotions or understanding what other people might be feeling/putting himself in their shoes. He often lies his way out of trouble and will not question himself before dragging someone else into the lie or doing something that would be of inconvenience to someone else, friends included, if it's for his own benefit.

He is aware that his actions or words may hurt on some occasions, and even though the fact haunts him from time to time, he has yet to try and change his behavior. He's aware that he's not a good person, but he hasn't tried to change yet, which is one of his character flaws.

He does eventually accept help from Ethan James Dawn, who offers to help him become a better person, but mostly to get closer to him, rather than actually work on himself.

You know Cocoa, right? Well, this guy's his owner! He and Ethan found him on a walk through the forest and took him home because the cat wouldn't leave their side. They didn't ask, though, and they live with two other people (who I still have to work more on but shhhh...), one of which is allergic to cats (funny thing, though, the allergic guy, Ryan, loves Cocoa and it's the other guy, Daniel, who has more of a problem with him).

Henry's currently unemployed but has worked at a bakery, at a bar, and at a restaurant. He quit the first two himself and got fired from the last one because of multiple reasons. He was a cook in all three establishments.

In relation to the previous fact, this guy absolutely adores cooking. His favorite dish to make is soup, although pancakes and apple pies follow closely.

Something else he really likes, which just like the Spice Girls fact seems unlikely, is singing. He's always loved to, and is, actually, pretty good at it! A group of friends and he like to hang out at a Karaoke-Singing place next to his hometown, funny enough. Only Ethan knows that, though.

^ That and musicals. He's a sucker for musical theater.

Something important about him is that he barely sleeps (hence why his eyebags look the way they look), since he feels like he loses a lot of time doing so. Instead, he pretty much runs on coffee. Black coffee, specifically, with lots of sugar. He loves sugary stuff.

In case he DOES fall asleep, though (either it's because he's with Ethan or has spent too long without drinking coffee), he'll be almost impossible to wake up. Like, unless you're ripping his arm off or scooping his eyes or something, you'll never get him out of his slumber until he wakes up himself.

So far, he's owned three pets: Jennifer, a white cat; Phill, a hedgehog, and Cocoa, who you already know.

He's my favorite OC and someone I really like to make fun of and draw ^^ he was created around January of 2022, so he's nearly two years old.

As for how he would introduce himself, he'd likely just say his name and not go into much detail.

Background:

She was born in Seoul, South Korea to Choi Seok-jin and Kim Min-ah. Growing up, she watched every single football match with her parents who are both fans of football (but the father is more a big fan than the mother) and Joo-yeon became inspired by her favorite football player, Ahn Jung-hwan. In school back in her hometown, she was teased for acting like a 'boy' (she plays football and she sits with her legs spread, it's because sitting like that is comfortable for her) and having a little bit of the manners of a boy. Joo-yeon wasn't bothered by it because her classmates didn't tease her badly enough and didn't bully her for it, it was light teasing and she was okay with it. During middle school days, she had short boyish hair (and to this day, she still has it) and some people confused her to be a boy, that made Joo-yeon feel frustrated and told them that she's a girl in an annoyed tone of a voice. At the age of 16 after her grandma passed away and her father got fired from his job, Joo-yeon and her family moved to the United States, specifically moved to Bullworth, New England on November 17th due to job opportunities and her uncle (her father's side of the family) lives in Bullworth. When she got transferred to Bullworth Academy, Ms. Danvers called her 'boy' because of her hair and her tomboyish outfit (Joo-yeon corrected Ms. Danvers later), and lastly, the rest is history

Personality:

She loves to sleep, literally. She would sleep anywhere, whether she's in a class or she's at a library, she would sleep without any hesitation. It's because when she's asleep, she can be in her dream world as her fictional self and can dream her own way. It's her own way of escaping reality and even if it's kind of a bad habit for her, she would still do it for the rest of her life. Besides sleeping, she's really active when it comes to sports but mostly football. She loves to practice it everyday to level up her football skills and it makes her feel better when she plays against someone, and she's really serious about football. She doesn't back down from criticisms and bullying, she insults them or even smacks them really hard with her school bag (or just kicks their stomach with her leg). She thinks they don't have anything to do other than being mean to her, she didn't even do nothing to them and yet, they're being mad for no reason. She's sensitive if someone yells at her and she can't help but to feel emotional and have tears under her eyes, she's been like that ever since she was a toddler. She's talkative, likes to talk about her life back in Seoul, South Korea and her interest in football and wanting to be a football player as her dream career but she would be talking nonstop and someone needs to interrupt her in order for her to finally stop talking or else she would go on forever. Although she dislikes studying, she still studies because 1. She hates failing and 2. If she fails, she thinks she'll not get into university. She takes school seriously and doesn't let any dramas and distractions get in her way. She loves recording with her handycam in school because she wants to keep the memories of her and those around her and wants to share it with her own future family growing up and to share what it is like to be in Bullworth Academy but not only she records in school, she also records at random places to save memories and for nostalgia. She's clumsy, Joo-yeon doesn't look around where she's going and sometimes she would fall to the ground, which makes some people who notice her chuckles or straight up laughing due to her falling, it makes her feel really embarrassed but she still isn't careful 'til this day

Overall, Joo-yeon wants to make memories in Bullworth (+ school) with her handycam and wants to be a football player in the future

Biggest regret: Her and Maxwell were attacked by other survivors when she was a teen and she froze up, causing Maxwell to be injured severely, in a way that never healed properly and caused him to develop chronic pain.

Upbringing: She was brought up by her dad after the death of her mother to the parasite. They moved around a bit to stay safe, but settled down in an abandoned hospital when she was ten and stayed there until she was twenty-two, when they were driven out by a mixture of other survivors and zombies. A sweet gentle caring soul who sticks out like a sore thumb in DOLtown. A magnet for trouble because of her air-headed behavior and definitely shouldn't have lasted as long as she had! Thankfully what she lacks in awareness and street smarts, she makes up for in practical academics! So Eri is top of her class in almost everything and aims to pursue an academically challenging degree if she hasn't found a suitable partner (boyfriend/girlfriend) before she graduates! To make ends meet and keep up with Bailey's insane demands, she works at Sam's Cafe in Ocean's Breeze and sometimes, a Temp job in the Office at High Street. Despite her shortcomings and lack of self-awareness, she is a dependable worker and is (sometimes) respected by her coworkers and superiors! However, how had she survived this long in a town filled with depraved people with horrible desires? Well it is because Eri is also a young woman with such desires! Despite her innocent demeanor and exterior, she harbors intense sexual desires and fantasies that are hard to sate! Hence, she's most often than not unsatisfied with most sexual encounters and hardly traumatized by them! (Sometimes). one of my favourite aspects of supernatural that you very rarely see in paranormal shows is that sam and dean are already versed in the world they live in. there’s no sudden discovery of ghosts and demons and now they have to learn about them along with the audience; they are born into it and already know all about it. it allows the audience to follow their personal story instead of also trying to figure out this new world and its rules

the first season is full of knowledge we never see them learn; “w*ndigoes are in the minnesota woods or- or northern michigan. i’ve never even heard of one this far west.” […] “great. well then this [his gun] is useless.” (1x02), “you don’t break a curse. you get the hell out of its way.” (1x08), d: “it’s a god. a pagan god, anyway.” […] “the annual cycle of its killings? and the fact that the victims are always a man and a woman. like some kind of fertility right.” […] s: “the last meal. given to sacrificial victims. d: “yeah, i’m thinking a ritual sacrifice to appease some pagan god.” (1x11)

almost every episode in the first season is a monster they’ve faced before that they then explain to the audience in a way that should feel patronising; like it’s the same speech given over and over again but instead, the audience almost feels included in the knowledge. it’s stated with such an innate confidence and comfort in said knowledge that it feels like we already knew it too; “spirits and demons don't have to unlock doors. if they want inside, they just go through the walls.” […] “the claws, the speed that it moves; could be a skinwalker, maybe a black dog.” (1x02), “it's biblical numerology. you know noah's ark, it rained for forty days. the number means death.” (1x04), “no no no, not the reaper, a reaper. there's reaper lore in pretty much every culture on earth, it goes by 100 different names.” […] “you said it yourself that the clock stopped, right? reapers stop time. and you can only see 'em when they're coming at you which is why i could see it and you couldn't.” (1x12)

they already know and, at least in the first season, already have what they need to kill whatever they’re hunting; already know to salt and burn bones for spirits, fire for a w*ndigo, exorcisms for demons, a silver bullet to the heart for shapeshifters. there’s only three times in the entire first season that they run into something new to them; 1x14 when sam gets his first vision that leads him to another psychic, 1x16 when dean calls caleb for help on the sigil he put together and he tells him about daevas, and 1x20 when they find out vampires are real- and they only don’t know that bc john thought they were hunted to extinction and not worth mentioning

(there’s also technically two half instances if you count one of them knowing something the other doesn’t - sam figuring out the tulpa in 1x17 and dean already knowing about the shtriga in 1x18 - but those still rely on sam and dean having prior knowledge)

even when they’re uncertain about facing something, it’s not bc they don’t know what it is; it’s precisely bc they know what it is and acknowledge that it’ll be a difficult hunt (“i don't know, man. this isn't our normal gig. i mean, demons, they don't want anything, just death and destruction for its own sake. this is big. and i wish dad was here.” 1x04)

so much of the tension in paranormal shows typically comes from the main character(s) not knowing what is happening to them/the people around them and having to find out how to resolve it. supernatural is unique in that it operates more like a police procedural. the tension comes from solving the clues and identifying patterns to figure out who (what) the killer is and intercepting before they can take another victim

it’s such a different tone to go for when compared to other shows that came both before, during, and after its run. it sets sam and dean on even footing with each other since they both have the same knowledge going in, and it puts them in a place of authority usually reserved for an outside character

the shows i compare spn to most is charmed, buffy and teen wolf; every main character in those shows are brought into the paranormal world knowing nothing, putting them on the same level as the audience, and they have their mc interact with others already knowledgeable about that world in order to overcome their problem/monster of the week. the audience organically learns about this new world as the characters learn about it. it’s a sound writing strategy that prevents “as we already know”-style exposition but something that complicates it is if your world building isn’t unique or intriguing enough, this slow introduction can become boring

we’ve seen shows like these before; sitting through the same tropes of characters learning to use their powers, struggling with no longer feeling normal/relating to the regular world around them, and not knowing how much they can trust the people already involved in this new world gets repetitive. all three shows eventually reach the same level of comfort with their new world that spn starts with but if the characters aren’t enough to draw you in, you can end up dropping it before they reach that point (and often, before the overarching plot can really kick in and evolve the show beyond the villain of the week format)

it’s the superhero origin movie in tv format; dragged out and overplayed. dropping the audience into an established world of course comes with its own problems but you also have the benefit of pre-existing established character dynamics that let the audience slot in like they’ve always been there instead of just getting to know all the characters while the characters also get to know each other

sam and dean already knowing about the supernatural lets the audience immediately get to the core of the story; the conflict between sam and dean, the search for their father, and the mystery of what killed their mother
