Jewel of the Sea Luffy x Oc

TW: this oneshot contains violence and a traumatic past, plus the revenge of it, along with a Marine Base called 89 which I created, gore blood. Anyone who can´t read this, pls do not do so, anyone else are welcomed. Nicknames are Lu and Je, which you can always switch with your own name since nothing else is mentioned. A female born magician and her pet dragon.

"When this continues, we go off course for good! That was the 15th marine ship in the past two days!!", Nami escaped a loud sigh before she fell onto her loungechair.

"My poor heart won´t be beating for much longer", Usopp stated while Chopper directly checked the sniper for anything serious. "But I wanted to fight!", Luffy, your captain and lover whined loudly, his arms drapped over the railing with his head on it. "There There. You´ll be fine. We can´t stop for every single ship we see, Lu" "But Je! I want to", he complained, "I can´t even fly with Soma" "Because of all this ships and his normal size we would be attacked faster than you could get any food", you admitted.

Another deep whine escaped your captain, making you sigh, as your shrunken dragon sat himself on his straw hat. "Soma wants to know if he can lift your spirits up", you asked him, making Luffy look at you, "perhaps a nice game of tag, hide and seek?" "will you join?" "...I am weak by you, so yes" "JE!", he jumped up and hugged you, spinning you around with so much happiness.

"Such sudden mood change", admitted Robin with a chuckle as Brook joined in with his laughter. "Guys! Starboard is thick fog but I can see a Marine Base from up here", shouted Zoro, making Luffy directly jump onto the railing.

"Marine Base?! Franky coup de burst! Let´s get out of here!", Nami screamed, and you joined your dragon and boyfriend, making your eyes widen, gripping the wood, hard. "Je? Everything ok?" "Captain...", you said as "Stop the ship!", Luffy shouted and everyone stopped. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!", Nami came down and shook Luffy, yelling at him.

"What is it, Captain?", asked Sanji. "Ask Jessy. She called me Captain", he admitted and everyone looked at her. They knew. You only call Luffy Captain when it´s serious with you. "It´s the Base 89", you said, the smile gone from your face, making Usopp cover himself behind Franky.

"89? I heard of this base. A special Marine Base here in the New World, fufilling different jobs for the Government", said Jinbe. "So, why so serious, sister?", asked Franky. "If I remember correctly, it was the ship with the same number we saved you", said Robin, making you nod. "I didn´t knew you were held captive", said Brook.

"12 years of my live I spend on the boat, treated like a slaved, abused, experiments on, forefully taken me, trying to break me. I was 5 when they took me from my home, thrown into a cell, chained up and everything" "As a child?! I shall take their souls into the underworld!", stated Brook.

"WHAAAHAHAAA!", Franky began to cry, "Sister, I never you you had such a past!" "Captain, with your permission", you looked at Luffy, who slipped his strawhat over his eyes, Soma flying to you. "Permission given", he simply said. "Who wants to come with me, giving people hell?" "Oh, I´m with it", smirked Zoro, Luffy already cracking his fingers as well Sanji, with Brook showing off his sword. "Good. The rest will take care of the ships that will come, with no doubt. Soma, you stay with them, attacking from the sky"

Your dragon nudged you before flying up, making you release the shrunken spell you put onto him. "Ready?" "How will you go there?" "I already prepared magical boosters that will get us there. I will now clear the fog", you said and spread your arms, hands covered in a gentle grey light, as you clapped them and the fog was gone.

"Now!", you said you 4 jumped onto the purple boosters, you prepared, all landing before kicking you away, allowing you to get such a speed that you directly landed on the harbor. Marine soldiers saw you 4 and directly called for a pirate attack. "Je! Go to the boss! we take care of them!" "I owe you one, Luffy!!" "Triple the payment!!! Cuddles and snacks included!", he shouted before you dashed away, hitting soldiers left and right with your magic, looking like lifeless puppets.

Walking up a floor, you heard Marine soldiers. "EMERGENCY! The straw Hat Pirates broke into the base and are on the-ARGH!", you cut the soldier off by restraining him with a vine that squeezed his whole body close. "Soldier! SOLDIER!", you heard shouting from the Transponder Snail but deciaded to ignore it. The Soldier on the ground was whimpering, while you simply looked at him before walking away.

You had one target. The Vize Admiral of the Base, who was in charge of anything. While walking through floors and stairs up, you remembered the base, and every soldier you came across. They were just the same from back then. Laughing at your misery, smirking, using you out of frustration by either breaking your bones and anything else.

You always imagined dieing on this ship, until one day, Luffy and the rest came, saving you from your own personal hell. But now, you were strong. You finally know how to use your powers and how deadly you can actually be.

Finally. You arrived at the door. Hearing running noises and silent curses, you held your hand against the door, as it exploded into tiny pieces, scattered across the room. The Vize Admiral looked at you, as you did at him. Just the same face you remembered, looking down at you with that disgusting smirk of his.

"You", he said and looked at you. Your face was serious, almost deadly chill when you stood across from him. Grabbing his claymore, he covered it in haki and went in for an attack, slashing his sword at you before it stopped. "What the fuck?!", he cursed as it didn´t budged.

You held it between your index and middle finger. The Haki covered blade broke apart, and in one swift movement, you touched the Vize Admirals stomach, an releasing electroshock sent him flying out of his window and down.

You also jumped out of the window, zooming straight down, limbs began to sparkle as you covered them in diamond, nearly reaching the ground. You saw Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Brook standing there, as well as the Vize Admiral.

Landing at the harbor, it completly broke down, pieces began to swim towards the open sea. "Guys, thanks for the cover but return to the Sunny", you stated. "Eh!? But I wanted more!" "Captain, you can´t swim, come", Zoro tugged your boyfriend away, making you hear his rocket, and cannonballs.

"Thinking you can kill me?" "No. I know it", you said, a smile comming over your lips, your hand reaching towards the air.

Your friends, and all the Marines were gasping when they saw in the air. 10 Spheres, topped on one another, going round and round, making the Vize Admiral look at you. "DIE!!!", he screamed and dashed towards you, as you simply lowered your hand, jumping onto the water before a gigantic prismatic laser hit the base entirely.

It only lasted a few seconds and once it was gone, where the base once stood was nothing but water. Not a single trace left of the 89th Marine Base.

Turning around to your friends, the sunny shined like a star because of Luffy, Chopper, Usopp and Franky, making you almost blind.

"MAYDAY MAYDAY! MARINE HEADQUARTER! MARINE BASE 89 HAS JUST BEEN ERADICATED BY THE JEWEL OF THE SEA FROM THE STRAWHAT PIRATES ALL ALONE! I REPEAT. MARINE BASE 89 HAS JUST BEEN-AAAAAARGH!", the soldiers screamed as the ships were burned down by Soma, making you return to the Sunny, and shrunk your dragon. "Thank you", you crawled him and he nuzzled into you, making you chuckle. "That felt good. We can sail now", you smiled at your friends.

"WE ARE UNWORTHY!!!", almost everyone shouted. "That was the most SUUUUUPPPPERRRRR Laser i ever saw, sister! Franky Super thumbs up!" "Can you do this more or is this some sort of one hit wonder?", Nami asked you.

"I can do this more than just once, yes. I don´t use it too much but this I had to", you admitted with a soft smile. "TREASURES, MARINES, YONKOS! COME AT US! YOU WON`T GET PAST US NOW!", Nami and Usopp cheered with happiness. "Goddess. Graceful, sexy, mature, powerful. My beloved! I will always be your subordinate!", Sanji kneeled in front of you.

"Yohohohoho! My eyes certainly popped out of my skull...ah, I don´t have them anymore. YOHOHOHOHOHO!", Brook laughed and you chuckled in. "You, against me", said Zoro, glaring at you. "eh? Unfair much? You have swords! I just have magic" "Just have magic?! Did you see what you just did?" "Wrong direction", chuckled Robin and Zoro flushed.

"I.WANT.NO.NEED.MOREEEE!!!! THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING I EVER SAW!!! JEEEEEEE WOHOOOOOO!", Luffy cheered endless for you as you guys sailed away, making you lean against a wall of the sunny, the burning ships of the Marine in the background, burning away. "Finally free", you said under your breath, looking into the sky with the biggest smile, cheering for yourself, because let´s be honest, you deserved it.

And you knew, your freinds will always be there for you, and you will be there for them.

most of the album fits the FLPCxEddie dynamic in my mind, but specially I Appear Missing (edward's pov), Kalopsia & ...Like Clockwork (post-marriage, the bittersweet variety to put it lightly), and the aforementioned The Vampyre of Time and Memory (reisz specifically). i love music yayayay ^___^ all i do is think of fucked up amvs...

As a pre-downpour fan, what are the major changes/differences you noticed between the fandom pre- and post- dp?

Really the only thing I would say is a notable 'change' is a shift in how most character-based fanworks is. Base game RW slugcats are pretty straightforward lil animals with small hints of personality, but nothing really strong. It's less a personality and more a vibe. The iterators aren't much different- the ways they interact with you and with each other is something sort of hard to dig into. A lot of people came away with just understanding moon and pebbles as "the nice one" and "the mean one" and the slugcats were very similar. People complain about infantalizing Pebbles now but god I'll take that over the villianization. Funny enough, if I had a nickle for every "Robot that was characterized as a complete asshole before getting a sequel that better explained their actions and issues and suddenly they were infantalized instead" I'd have at least two, which is fun. DP has a lot more direct character, even if you don't think its fitting. The slugcats are more distinct from each other and fit nicely into archetypes if you want them too, but there is still wiggle room for people to change it up without being 'wrong'. The iterators have more in-game content of or about how they interact with the world and each other, they have more personal relationships with certain slugcats, they have actual designs for more than Moon and Pebbles, etc. Its much easier to get a feel for the characters and that means content directly about them is more appealing. Not just shipping (although absolutely shipping, since pre-DP the characters you had actual interactions for were animals, or siblings, or you had like one blurry picture and an offhand reference. People still tried!) but anything about how they would play off each other or behave is just... easier to do. So you have more of that. The less vague things are, the more people actually pick up on it. A lot of vanilla RW asked you to dig into it yourself, which a ton of people simply aren't going to do- even people who LIKE the thing. DP has a very different vibe than vanilla RW, Its well done but if you dig into it you can see the ways it attaches onto the base game rather than seamlessly extends. And I think one of those ways is just that its much more broadly appealing storytelling. Other than that its just a bigger fandom with bigger fandom issues. Not anything unique to RW, just par for the course for fandoms to get bigger and suddenly things feel more disconnected or overwhelming or less friendly or that it feels like theres more drama. And these issues aren't absent from pre-DP RW, there was its fair share of drama in regards to people who were either assholes or predators. It never didn't have that problem because thats an unavoidable problem to have when you have a bunch of people who are strictly united by the fact they like the same thing.

It'll never stop being funny to me how Indra's status and power level changes throughout the different texts because initially, you have this absolute badass God-King who defeats a giant monster and gets together with his wife and holds court in heaven. Next the Ramayana rolls up and he is set as a benchmark for battle-skill: Meghnad, as the warrior who defeated him, is an absolute powerhouse who nearly kills both Rama and Lakshmana (and one of those two is a god). In fact, depending on the version, Rama and Lakshmana only survive by semi-divine intervention (Garuda and Hanumana). It is a story about how Lakshmana, an exiled third prince, kills the man who defeated the King of Gods, thereby proving the victory of good over evil et cetera... et cetera... You know the drill.

And then, you have the Mahabharata. Where Krishna, then a young boy, protects an entire settlement from Indra's rage. Which... you know what, fine, he too is a god.

But then, Arjuna defeats Indra, who is his father. Arjuna, who presumably upset the audience a few moments ago after he just burned a whole forest with everyone (including children) in it to supposedly satisfy Agni.

Then, Indra shows up to Karna's doorstep begging for his armour, and Karna who had previously angered the audience by calling Draupadi a harlot gets to demand things from the king of the gods.

See the pattern?

Also they have that absolute disaster of a ceremony and their city is called Indraprashtha.

Like come on, at this point you're just using Indra as the bonus +500 point in games to get your favourites in the audience's good books after they messed up.

Been working on an extensive document to flesh out Oz more, the origin of the blood manipulation power, her ancestor's backstory and how much the Celestial Court sucks, and her connection with Sun Wukong / the Destined one

The biggest tragedy is that I gave her those cool powers but she can't even use them LMFAO. I think that realistically speaking she would not be able to learn to fully control and master it in her mortal life span.
