Hired Help (Victorian AU with pa-pepper-potts)

The bedcurtains rolled back, and sunlight streamed in onto Sir Anthony's face.  He squinted in the sudden brilliance and put his arm over his eyes.  "Is it morning already, Jarvis?" he asked.

"It is, Sir," the butler replied.  "Mr. Stane requested I wake you early."

"Something important today?"  Tony sat up, rubbing at his face.

"Several things."  Jarvis brought over his dressing gown.  "In the morning you're interviewing a candidate for the open maidservant position..."

"We have an open maidservant position?" Tony asked.

"Now that Miss Weller has married, yes."  The butler held up the gown, and Tony put his arms into the sleeves.  "Then, in the afternoon, you are attending Miss Everhart's party," Jarvis went on.

"Who is she?"

"A very wealthy and respectable young lady," said Jarvis.  "I'm told she's quite pretty as well."

"Oh, one of the ones Obadiah hopes he can convince me to marry."  Tony scowled.  He needed an heir, and that meant he needed a wife: it was a fact of life, but that didn't mean he liked it.  The thought of some woman puttering around his house, running his life didn't sit well - there were enough people running his life for him.  "Fine, let's get on with it.  Is breakfast ready, Jarvis?"

"On the table, Sir," the butler affirmed.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Maria jumped on the bed.

"That sounds nice," she said softly and sighed. Closing her eyes, she shrugged while laying in his lap. "Though, could we just lay here for a bit… I don’t really want to do much."

Tony nodded. “Sure, for as long as you want,” he said still smoothing her hair. “Do you want to talk about it?” He knew the job was tough and she was up to it.

Babysitter [Bruce and Pepper]

Bruce looked at Teresa, his new 8 month old charge, and she looked back at him. He knew a bit about how to care for a baby, but he still wasn;t qualified. And he had a meeting with Pepper in ten minutes. 

With a sigh, he got out of the car, and then picked Teresa's baby carrier up. He would have some explaining to do.

Just Listen

Waiting outside the school in the car that Pepper made him bring despite his efforts to bring the R8. Let's be real, what kid got picked up from school in an Audi R8 and wasn't top dog on campus? 

But Pepper was the one who humbled him, and it was better for their daughter. 

When he looked up again, he saw his daughter, a smile on her face as she ran towards him with her little backpack jostling around on her back. "There's my girl!" He smiled and swept her up off her feet and into the air, making her giggle. "How was school, baby girl?"

We're Not Going To Be Late || Pepper & Tony

"Pepper. Pepper calm down." Tony put his hands on her shoulders, giving her a small reassuring squeeze. Geez, it was like the woman'd never cut it close to getting to a meeting in her life. But then again, he wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. This was Pepper, and she was frighteningly good with the whole organisation and being a proper member of the board and CEO and whatnot. 

Tony, however, was lacking with that in his skillset. And unfortunately because of that, they were late. 

Very late. 

And Pepper was stressed, and Tony was definitely not helping with how relaxed he was about the entire thing. It wasn't that he wasn't taken it seriously - well, a part of it was. He had an instant coffee in hand that tasted a little too much like rocket fuel to his liking. But no, he took S.I. seriously, just..not as bad as Pepper. It was a little cute.

"Yeah," said Tony, relieved.  He focused on measuring coffee grounds into a filter, trying to keep his hands from shaking.  "You know," he said distantly, "before this all happened, I didn't know I could get that angry.  I keep wondering if... if that's what it feels like for Dr. Banner..." he licked his teeth.

Pepper Attacked

Tony gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, and had to take several deep breaths to keep himself from punching in the nearest computer screen.  Once he stopped seeing red and wanting to drive back to Fresno to run that man over, he said, “do you need anything?  I can make coffee or something.”

The Stark household was pretty quiet, when all of a sudden there was this loud scream from the playroom. Maria was screaming and crying as Howie sat there and watched on, playing with the toy he just took from Maria. There was bit marks on her arm from her brother.

In the early stages II Closed II Pa-Pepper-Potts

To say that it was taking time getting used to being attached so to speak may very well be an understatement in Tony's opinion. Granted he loved that Pepper and he were at last an item but going from playboy Tony Stark who had girls on his arms every second to attached Tony Stark who now had limits was quite different. But he was happy even as he sat in the workshop covered in grease and who knows what else. It had been a long and frustrating day down there, Pepper likely would not be pleased with the mess, lets just say a few explosions may have occurred. Naturally he did not hear her come in, the music blaring and his concentration solely on the piece of armor he was working on.

[Text: Peppercat] I have a couple of baby room designs I want to run by you.

Tony was anxious, they were really trying for this. Now that Noel was almost two, he and Pepper were thinking about having another--this time of their own. 

He didnt want to rush her, but she went to get the tests today, and she was upstairs taking it. But damn was it a waiting game. When the door opened he darted right over, "So? Anything?" He asked with a smile.

Tony looked at the sky - blue with big, fluffy white clouds.  "JANIS says it's suppose to rain this evening," he warned her, "but this afternoon ought to be fine.  Too bad there's no way to bring JANIS along on these things," he chuckled.  "I mean, she's basically a member of the family, too."

Playdate (pa-pepper-potts)

The day after the next, they packed up a lunch, along with extra diapers and a bathing suit for Phoebe, and went to meet Pepper’s friends at the water park.  Max seemed to be able to tell they were going somewhere special, and was trotting ahead the whole way, his backside wiggling as he wagged his stumpy tail.

We have a lot to Plan [Pa-Pepper-Potts]

Sure, some would say that Tony had the easy job. But to keep a secret from the woman who knows all? That was a task all in itself. That was like, planning the wedding, honeymoon and six anniversaries. 

But he had it all planned out, for the three of them. A trip to Paris, and touring all her favorite spots in Europe, with things that even little Noel would enjoy. Even if she was still very young, the new sights and sounds would definitely spark her attention.
