Note
this also means that the Stanley parable and the character Stanley from the stanley paraable is also a will wood reference
a stanley cup >:)
stanley is typically a male name. you know what else is typically a male name? will. like will wood.
stanley cups are clearly just a will wood reference.

@amber-winglet It took me a while to word all my thoughts on this since it does effect me personally as someone who deals with physical disability. Parabled is ableist at worst and at best internalized ableism. Appearing disabled is the same problem as trying to appropriate the visual of another race or culture, it's... making something that people are oppressed for, abused for, a performative part of an alter's identity. For paraableds its taking things that disabled people struggle to get accommodations for or even acknowledgement for in the case of "invisible" disabilities to make an aesthetic for themselves. Everything alters do and present as should be looked at with a critical eye because you don't know what this is masking. Is it actual disabilities you haven't come to terms with? Is it unhealthy and toxic things that people around you have said, what TV has said? Para-whatevers isn't like actually experiencing the oppression that these people face, its inhaling stereotypes of these experiences and regurgitating them in a way that is harmful to others and yourself. The DID community as a whole has a huge problem of speaking over people with disabilities and people of color, it's so frustrating to see these new terms pop up to just push them further away. We should be doing better and acknowledge that just because its something that happens in your system doesn't mean it's completely valid and healthy to give an audience to.
Disability is not something just one alter experiences. I have a collective experience with the chronic pain, I have a collective experience with my leg's issues that results in me struggling to walk some mornings. Even beyond the physical disabilities, we all wrestle with ADHD and our other disorders. I cannot stop my struggles with empathy by simply switching, all of us have to deal with that. All of my alters have to do basic self care that is exhausting and physically painful to do.
It just simply isn't acceptable or appropriate to claim something that isn't available to you. Rather than make up terms to validate the experience I'd really like people to start questioning these things and being more critical of themselves. Start challenging these ideas. Why do you do this? What need is not being met? How are you not being heard? Are you refusing to acknowledge a disability effects your whole system?

The Fourth Soil of the Heart: The Good, Tilled, and Fruitful Soil
The Fourth Soil of the Heart: The Good, Tilled, and Fruitful Soil
Tumblr media
Now let us return to the Parable of the Sower for a discussion of the final and most important soil of the heart. This fourth soil of the heart is what every Christian should strive for in their walk with God for this is the fertile ground that bears fruit for our Lord. In this soil the Word of God abundantly grows and flourishes and produces a bumper crop that blesses, nourishes and strengthens…
